"Bruce decides that no one else should feel such pain."

I believe this is a current origin story for Batman, I phrase it that way as it hits many familiar beats, but it implies Alfred is part of the creation of Batman, as opposed to someone confided in not long after Batman begins solving crimes... For the sake of brevity Robin and Batgirl are introduced at the same time in this story, again creating the impression they were both helping Batman (together) simultaneously, and the focus remains on Batman, omitting his ward Dick Grayson from the story.

This is a solid quick read, but for longtime fans of Batman seeking to introduce their young child to the character there may be moments that give you pause.

We are so proud of you for reading "Batman: An Origin Story" by John Sazaklis! You learned that being seen in words all depends on what one has never done before.Determination and doing what is right, can in fact produce a significant influence in the social field.O Batman, just remember that in front of everyone, your very courage and ability would be able to protect others. You can use O this principle in your own daily life by being brave and standing for what is right--use any skill you have to help those around you

Here recently, my son has been diving into the world of superheros and bad guys. Typically I would worry about him wanting to watch and read stories such as these; however, I have found that all of these books and episodes have deeper meanings behind them that are teaching him about goodness conquering evil.

Finally my kid wanted me to read this Batman origin story.

He understood why he is sad and the reason why he became Batman.

He also recognized The Joker, Robin and Batgirl from Batman Lego Movie.

Mediocre early reader. Finished it in five minutes while learning only slightly more about the characters. It would be better to present this Batman introduction in a comic book form.

The series of the four origin stories about Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Superman, and Batman are just fabulous. Not only are the words written in kid-friendly language and don't, but the books even include diagrams, glossaries, discussion questions, and more text features. The bold and modern illustrations are extremely appealing and inviting. Can't wait to buy this series for my library!

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this book. It has the same old Batman story but i like that it uses words and then a glossary at the back. I think that is cool to interest kids in reading by using superheroes and then have harder words to challenge the reader!!

This version of Batman's origin story is well written, especially for little ones. It's a thoughtful retelling with some interesting review questions at the end.

How did Bruce Wayne become Batman? We get to learn what motivated him to become Batman; what was his childhood like, what was his training like. Not to complex; not too simple; right to the point.
