Lacked in plot. I feel like the plot device is good, but the characters are lacking in spirit. The plot never progresses; indeed, I would go as far as to say the plot doesn't even exist. So much potential. The Kindle Paperwhites journey is hardly even described, and it mostly focuses on world building and information dumping.
Very disappointing novel. I hope the sequel will at least have a plot.
Useful guidebook for the Paperwhite. If you are into reading, it is worth taking the time to get familiar with the device you will be holding in your hands for months of your life when all is said and done. ;-)
The book is spot on in terms of content. However, I think this can be considered as how a book for the kindle should be distributed. Most cover pages do not look good on the Kindle but the cover page for this use guide looks elegant,
I wish Amazon Distributes the unpackaged source of this book as the template to the publishers so that they can leverage the best practices that went into designing this book.
After finishing it, I proclaim it an excellent book. With a very focused character pool, the novel still creates an epic story that can be remembered for ages. Though somewhat short, what the book lacks in material, it makes up for in balanced, well written storytelling. The author, Amazon, made it apparent that he/she strives for quality over quantity. A highly recommended read, and very enjoyable.
This would be especially good for a new user. However, even though I had used the Kindle Touch for 2+ years, I still learned things about the Paperwhite that I didn't know.
Useful. I was familiar with the paperwhite but learned some interesting facts while reading it. I know it will be a good reference to use in the future when I am not sure about paperwhite use or to find information about features Amazon offers to use with it.
Life changing. Fascinating commentary on the duality of man and technology's role in mankind's development. Highly recommended for anyone interesting in the revolutionary technological wonder that is the Kindle Paperwhite.
I was trying to read a book on my kindle, but because of the format, I had to stop reading it to read this one. Sighing. It's not like I am a newbie with my kindle. I've used it for several years now. However, even after reading the kindle instructions, which were very clear, I was unable to read the former book in an easy fashion. It has to be tweaked several ways because somehow the previous book's format simply does not work with my paperwhite kindle. I will read the book, but I had hoped to find a solution making it a joy to read rather than a pain in the bum.
Pretty good book. I felt like I was there. I can not see Janet being realistic, she just seems like she is too crazy to be relatable to. I did like how the author decided to kill off Janet at the end. She was really bringing me down along with the rest of the characters. I hope she doesn't come back in the next book or else I will probably stop reading this series.
This is a book I go to for reference. It's pretty good, but one question I had was answered in a single sentence in the book that told me to go to an online website for the answer. Unfortunately it took me a while searching thru the book to find that sentence. A very good book for a beginner!
OMG THE MAIN CHARACTER IS THE BEST, SHE IS SO RELATEBALE ABOUT HOW TO SET UP YOUR KINDLE. THE LOVE INTEREST IS A KINDLE! WOW! NEVER READ A KINDLE X GIRL STORY.
