I grew up on the south side of Chicago and in a very busy weekend, got married, graduated college and moved to Los Angeles.

Although my degree is in Fine Arts, all I ever wanted to be was a writer and I've been doing it in one form or another for as long as I can remember. My shining moments in elementary and high school always involved stories or poetry I'd written. I wrote news stories and a weekly column in my college newspaper. My first job out of college was working on the newsletter of a finance company. I worked for a public relations firm and wrote press releases and biographies. Later I wrote proposals for video projects and television shows that went through various stages of development.

I tried writing screenplays and wrote three. I sold one and another was a winner in a Writers' Digest contest.

I was lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom and did all kinds of volunteering at my son's schools including editing and writing several newsletters.

I wrote essays and small pieces that ran in the Los Angeles Times, the Daily News and Woman's Day among others. My short romantic and mystery fiction appeared in Woman's World, and Futures magazine.

From time I was a thirteen-year-old babysitter cooking for the kids I babysat, I dreamed of writing a book about babysitting. It took a little longer than I'd expected, but BLUE SCHWARTZ AND NEFERTITI'S NECKLACE was published in 2006.

My affair with crochet began in Las Vegas. I had always had a fascination with crochet, particularly granny squares, but thought there was some magic involved with making them that was beyond me. And then everything changed that day in Vegas when I saw the kids' kit in FAO Schwartz. If the instructions were easy enough for kids, I thought they might work for me.

My first granny square was missing a corner, but when I tried again, all four corners were there. I was in awe of my own accomplishment. I had found the magic. I went granny square crazy until pretty soon I didn't need directions anymore. Then I learned there were more squares than just basic grannies and I made squares with sunflowers in the middle and other patterns. I moved beyond squares and made flowers, hearts, bookmarks and more.

I was in love with crochet and began to make scarves, purses, afghans, and shawls. I started carrying my hooks everywhere. A plane trip became a pile of granny square wash cloths, or part of a shawl. A vacation in Hawaii turned into a tote bag.

And now I get to write about it...

This is one of my all time favorite series. I ended up listening to this and the narrator is always fantastic. She captures the true essence of the characters. Molly Pink and The Tarzana hookers are memorable and delightful characters. I need to catch up on the series. In my opinion, this could also be read as a stand alone or out of order. Lighthearted and cozy. Highly recommend.

I was blessed with an ARC. Thank you, NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own and unbiased.

"Murder by the Hook (A Crochet Mystery #16)" by Betty Hechtman has Molly Pink doing her super secret private investigation work for her ex that she's not so sure she's completely over. She's trying to be since he seems to be. He even has a new girlfriend, who is a bit overly controlling of him. He has her tag along as his "cousin" to a pre-wedding party for a local celebrity news anchor and weather girl. It's being hosted at their agent's house since the agent to try to deduce what's going on with some missing objects.

Molly is also supposed to be at a crochet retreat with her Hookers crotchet group. Luckily all this is going on in the same little town and she can try to juggle both investigation work and the crochet retreat. The two things collide when someone is found dead on the property behind where the crochet group is staying. Molly gets both her recent exs vying for her attention plus a new guy while she's just trying to prove she is a good investigator.

Murder by the Hook is the first book that I have read by Betty Hechtman. Being a crocheter myself and a lover of mystery stories I was looking forward to reading this.
This is a cosy mystery that involves Molly Pink and her group of Hookers who have gone off for a weekend of companionship, crocheting and exploring in the small town of Pixie. Molly who is a private, private investigator finds herself solving a mystery for her ex, Mason. This leads to her working at a high profile celebrity wedding while also trying to keep peace among her fellow Hookers.
Her group of friends are all interesting and are a variety of characters, but one in particular, Adele, was a little hard to handle. I do not know if she is also in other books in this series but she did get on my nerves. In this case, the author succeeded because she also got on the group's nerves.
If you are looking for some easy reading with a cup of tea that still makes you think while you enjoy the companionship and mystery than this book is for you.
I especially enjoyed the bonus of the recipe and crochet pattern that both relate to the story.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in return for my honest review.

The bookstore that Molly works at is undergoing renovations, so she and the Hookers decide to take the entire group on a crochet retreat. The timing works out perfectly since her ex boyfriend has asked her to help him find a thief in the same area. Unfortunately while attending a pre-wedding party at a friend’s home, Molly’s task to catch a thief turns into a murder investigation. When a threatening note shows up telling her to back off, she must solve the murder before she’s the next one to die.
This is a fun cozy read with two mysteries to solve and a plethora of eclectic and sometimes eccentric characters that keep the reader engaged. Adele, one of the hookers, is a particularly interesting character. She’s a bit obsessive, especially when it comes to her stance that crochet is the only needle craft worth doing. Luckily she seems to have found her community within the hookers, even if she drives them a little crazy sometimes. There is a bit of a love triangle, for lack of a better term, when another one of Molly’s ex’s shows up investigating a separate matter. As he begins to question her about what she’s doing there, we’re left to question if the cases might be related. Overall this was an entertaining read with a thief, a murder, several suspects in both cases, a bit of a love triangle, and some interesting side characters. A related recipe and crochet pattern is a nice extra added at the end of the book. If you’re looking for an enjoyable cozy read, this might just be the one for you.

Thank you to NetGalley and Beyond the Page Publishing for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book.

When reading “Molly Pink and the Tarzana Hookers” in the synopsis for this book, I was “hooked”. I had read other books by Betty Hechtman years ago and enjoyed them, so I was very motivated to read “Murder by the Hook”.

This book was very easy to get into, as the characters were very engaging, entertaining and very funny. I was glad that the author did not go into lengthy details about crocheting since I don’t know the first thing about it.

It was also easy to continue reading the plot because there was always something going on. Sadly, the book came to an end way too quickly, which proves to me that it was most enjoyable.

I am most interested in reading more books in this series and highly recommend it to mystery lovers. I also will try to read some of her other mystery books.

Thank you, Net Galley and Beyond the Page Publishing, for making an advance copy available for me to read and post a personal review. I also want to thank Ms. Betty Hechtman for writing it.

In the latest installment of the Crochet Mysteries, Molly Pink and her friends of the Tarzana Hookers are at a retreat during the renovation of the book shop where they work. It all begins fine, until Molly's beau Mason asks her to help him in finding a thief at his friend's home, which is nearby. Someone in the entertainment industry is getting wed, and the hosts want it all to go smoothly. Mason introduces her as his cousin, and all seems to be going fine there as well until the groom-to-be is found murdered.

Now not only is Molly involved, but her ex, homicide detective Barry Greenberg is handling the case and doesn't like that she's involved...but it doesn't stop him from asking her what she knows. Molly has her hands full with trying to find a killer and keep her fellow hookers from tearing each other's throats apart with fighting. Hopefully, she'll come out of it alive...

I've read these books with interest, but I must admit that Molly's waffling between Barry and Mason had put me off for a while. The reason being is that I absolutely detest love triangles. Think of it this way: if it had been a man stringing along a woman you'd think him a dog or worse. But it seems to be okay in books when a woman does it (shakes her head). I'll never understand.

Getting that out of the way, Molly has come to some sort of conclusion at least. The mystery is done very well, and the clues are there, although they are far between. It's intriguing watching how Molly's mind works and she puts everything together. Even when it seems it might be a waste of time, it isn't. She definitely knows what she's doing.

To top it off, her fellow Hooker and sometimes nemesis Adele is having trouble in her marriage, and wants the other women's help without actually asking for it. She tells them she's left her husband, but has she? It seems the days of roses has left the bush, and she's not so willing to begin again.

With all this to look forward to, along with a jealous girlfriend of Mason's, Molly knows she can't let the case go until it's solved. Nor does she want to. With both Mason and Barry looking on, Molly watches every step...until the one that might be her last...

The/e book was very good, and the plot was excellent. The reason for the murder seemed like it wouldn't be worth it, but then again, I'm not as murderer. Who knows what goes on in someone's mind when they're prepared to kill? The subplot was rather funny, although these women would drive me up a wall if I had to spend time with them.

In the end, it all came together nicely and I did like how it ended (with my own opinions held aside that I disagreed with things); and I enjoyed the tale immensely. For anyone who loves the Molly Pink mysteries, this one is just as good as the others. Recommended.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley but this in no way influenced my review.

Although it took me awhile to get into this one, I ultimately wound up enjoying it quite a bit. The main characters were interesting, with Molly Pink seeming to be juggling three romantic possibilities at once, while the supporting cast was quirky but memorable. I'm not quite sure how Molly and best-friend Dinah managed not to strangle Adele and become the focus of a murder investigation themselves. While Adele is married to a policeman, she is a definite, frequently annoying diva who thinks knitting is taboo while crochet is the only way to go. Nor is she reluctant to share her opinion, wanted or not. It took me a bit to sort out the other members of the Hookers, ie crochet group, further complicated by a relatively large group of suspects encountered at Lisa and Jerry R's gathering, most with some sort of show business ties. My favorite was Heddy, a former pop star who now using her talent to sing to her avocado trees. Oh, and she thinks she's being invaded by aliens. You know, just another day in the Hollywood zone.

So, who kills Kirkland Rush, a news hound always in search of a good story. I mean, this gathering was to celebrate his upcoming marriage. The bride-to-be? She doesn't seem terribly distraught but, then again, maybe discovering his ex-wife not only there but more or less in charge of the plans....and his finances. Hmm... money is always a good motive? There at the behest of her almost-husband, Mason, now friend, or maybe employer, Molly seems unsure of which. And, oh, the detective in charge? Seems to be another of Molly's former romantic partners. Ah, nothing like complicating things. But, wait, what did Molly and Dinah see while checking out the murder scene? Nah, couldn't be. Could it? All the while soothing the cranky Hookers who weren't having the relaxing outing they'd expected. And, to think, it starts when Molly's hired to catch a petty thief? How are the two crimes related? Or, are they?

But, more than enough teasers. Once I more-or-less had the characters sorted and the murder happened, the pace seemed to pick up. The twists and turns and red herrings kept me guessing, all wrong, I must admit. I ultimately liked the main cast of characters and wait till you meet Adele's husband. What does a tie have to do with anything? Nope. Not telling. Thanks #BeyondThePagePublishing for this early peek at Molly's busy, complicated life and friendships. I'm waiting now to find out how she uses that special gift she picked up at that booth while I enjoy the crochet pattern and yummy sounding recipe.

Molly is going on a girls weekend with a little side-trip for her private private investigator gig working for former flame Mason. The gig doesn't work out so great for her... and neither does the girls weekend. Can Molly turn both around before it's time to go home?

This series has grown on me, I don't LOVE it, but it's a reliably good read. In this particular book, Molly goes on a girls weekend that coincides with a job for Mason where she's to try to figure out who is stealing trinkets from the home of a Hollywood-connected man who likes to entertain at his country home in Pixie. I had a number of problems with this. First of all, they're on a vacation in this little town and yet somehow everyone (and I do mean EVERYONE) Molly knows in Tarzana is in Pixie this weekend. How is that possible? Second, there are a gazillion characters in this book. I have no clue who any of them where. And one of them is the killer. Which one? I honestly don't know. And when you don't know who any of the characters are, it's hard to get invested in figuring out (or caring) which one of them is the killer. Or which one is the victim. My third issue is that the whole job that precipitated the entire story could have been done by one conveniently placed security camera. So the entire plot felt kind of pointless.

I also have to say that the love triangle with Molly and Mason and Barry has gotten kind of annoying. Molly gets the hots for both guys and it's kind of gross. She can't seem to control her hormones and she only seems to want what she can't have (or whatever male is in front of her at the moment, let's face it Molly is kind of a fickle slut at this point). I also always find myself annoyed by Peter, the world's most ungrateful son, and Adele, the world's most annoying coworker (although I do have a soft spot for her, I think she's really not a bad person she's just the most socially inept person on earth [Adele, I can relate]).

Overall, despite my myriad complaints about the characters, I do enjoy reading this series. It's never going to be at the top of my TBR but it's worth checking out.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC.

I'm pretty much convinced that Betty Hechtman doesn't like the characters in her crochet mysteries. How else do you explain "Murder by the Hook?"

Molly Pink and her band of happy hookers are together again to crochet (but never ever knit) scarves and granny squares and assorted other objects. This time, they're guests at a secluded house while the bookstore where they usually meet is undergoing renovations.

Of course, there's a murder nearby. Molly has an all-but-engraved invitation to investigate because she and her former beau, Mason, are guests at parties that conveniently included the victim and all of the suspects.

OK. Far-fetched, but that's what you get from a cozy mystery.

Hechtman pretty much ruins the book, however, with her negative portrayals of virtually all of the characters. Readers familiar with the series know that Adele is a caricature of an over-the-top crochet enthusiast who hates knitters and who must steal the attention of every gathering.

Adele was written cruelly in this book, portrayed as a shrill shrew worthy of nothing but disdain and ridicule by her so-called friends.

Other characters didn't come off much better.

The crocheters, who dubbed themselves hookers, know they're going to spend several days together at a secluded house. They spend the entire time bored and bickering. Excuse me. They had bins of free yarn and plenty of hooks and KNEW they were going to spend days together. If you couldn't play nicely, stay home.

The series has featured Molly vacillating between Mason and Barry. For the record, I am Team Barry. Molly goes back and forth. This time, Hechtman decided to make both men look like idiots and to introduce a third male option. Seriously, Molly's son, Peter, has always been forthright with his preference of Mason to Barry, but suddenly Hechtman is writing about how Molly's family has always all of them been against her relationship with Barry. That's not how I remember it.

I really looked forward to reading this book. I was disappointed. Perhaps Hechtman will write a new Yarn Retreat mystery, and Casey Feldstein will remain true to her previous portrayals.

“Murder by the Hook” the sixteenth book in Betty Hechtman’s Crochet Mystery cozy mystery series, finds Molly Pink and the rest of the Tarzana Hookers on a weekend field trip while the store Molly works at undergoes renovations. Molly wants to spend some time relaxing and crocheting but agrees to help her ex-boyfriend Mason to try to catch a kleptomaniac at a gathering celebrating an upcoming wedding. What seems to be a relatively simple case quickly turns much more complicated when someone is murdered and Mason needs her help finding the killer. But will Molly be able to do so before the weekend is over and avoid being in danger?

I really like this series and for the most part I enjoyed this book. Taking any series away from the main setting is a risky venture but I thought Hechtman did a good job with this. The change of setting is a nice one and I enjoyed reading about the house parties Molly attended, as well as the people attending the parties, and the food at the parties (there is a recipe included in this book as well as a crochet pattern). Also well done is the relationships among the Tarzana Hookers – it is one thing to get together as a group to crochet and then be able to go home and a completely different thing to be stuck together as a group for a weekend and I thought Hechtman did a good job with the group dynamics (even Adele who can be more than a bit over the top). The mysteries (the petty thief and the murder mystery) are well done with just the right amount of suspects – I was completely surprised when all was revealed (the clues were nicely placed I just didn’t put them together). The one thing that I didn’t like about this book (which caused me to knock off a star) was the love triangle (love square?) – I found it distracted me at times from the mystery. That may have been resolved, we’ll find out in the next mystery. Otherwise, I enjoyed the book.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley.

Book Review:

I gave this book 4 stars. I have read many of her books in this series and I enjoyed them a lot. Sometimes I am able to figure who the murderer is but not always. I wasn’t able to figure it out this one. As I said before, I have read some of this series but none recently even though I own some. With that being said I found myself falling back into the series with ease and enjoyed myself. I always love how Molly is able to deal with Adele.

In this book Molly and the hookers are going on a weekend outing while the book shop is being renovated. Molly is also working for Mason as a private private investigator on a small project in the same small town. Unfortunately, the investigation doesn’t go well, and Molly feels terrible. As per normal in this kind of book there is a death, and Molly finds herself in the middle of it all. This time things don’t go well for the weekend retreat and the murder investigation. Can Molly solve the murder and save the weekend with the hookers? You will have to read the book to find out.

Sometimes, all you want is a lovely cosy mystery with food and fun, and this delivered.

But I have to get this off my chest. Adele is one of the worst characters I've ever had the misfortunate of reading. I don't mean she's badly written - she's not, she's well written - but in terms of why is she part of this friend group, she is the literal worse. I get that these cosy mystery stories need the quirky friend, but there is quirky and then there is this woman. She drove me nuts and I had to push through some of her scenes.

Luckily, all the other characters were interesting. Some were perhaps not as well fleshed out as they could have been, but considering the large cast and the relatively short page count, that is only to be expected. The writer did a great job of making the prime suspect a really engaging, sympathetic character that you really wanted to be innocent, as well as crafting some moments that really made you doubt what was going on. As for the killer... well I won't spoil it, but I was very glad they got caught.

#MurderbytheHook #NetGalley is the newest addition to one 1⃣ of my favorite series.
Molly Pink is a fun character, and her ability to solve crimes has her working as a private, private investigator.
Working with her ex fiance Mason Fields opens up many feelings for Molly, but when she's asked to work on a case of missing items in an extravagant home, she can't resist.
The job shouldn't take long, and it fits in with her ladies getaway with her hooked friends.
Joining them on their trip is Adele, a very annoying crocheter who makes everything about her.
Trying to keep Adele at bay and work her assignment, Molly hopes to have this solved in minutes. Unfortunately things don't work out that way, and a simple job turns into a murder investigation, bringing Molly in contact with another ex, Detective Fielding.
Things really begin to take off and soon Molly has the answers to everyone's questions.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

The first book I've read in this crochet mystery series, and it won't be my last.

The main character, Molly, is a crafter with a large family and a busy life. She works in a local book/craft shop where a local group of women hang out and craft: the Hookers. On the side, she's a detective working for her ex-fiancée helping to solve mysteries. This mystery: someone from a celebrity circle of friends has been stealing small things including every crafters favorite accessory, stork scissors.

While helping to look for the stork scissor thief, someone gets murdered and it's up to Molly to help solve the murder while also entertaining the Hookers on a crochet weekend getaway that just so happens to be next DOOR to where the murder occurred.

All in all, a great book full of craft talk, mystery and a small dose of romance/love triangle. Also, I enjoyed having a main character that is slightly older with grandkids. I can't wait to see what kind of mystery Molly helps to solve next and what will happen in her love life.

Molly Pink has a side hustle when she heads out on a retreat with the Tarzana Hookers crocheting group. She also is working for an ex-flame as a "private private investigator" to catch a kleptomaniac that blossoms into a search for a killer.

I’ve been following this series for over 15 years, enjoying the intricate murder mystery plots and the suspense of guessing which of her male admirers would ultimately win her heart. However, I’m now frustrated by her snobbish son, who constantly takes advantage of her while offering only criticism in return. Additionally, while there’s a man she will always feel a deep passion for, she cannot accept the demands of his career as a first responder. I believe instead she should take pride in his selfless dedication

I give the mystery 4 stars but the romance 2 stars.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

2 1/2 stars. A light cozy featuring a woman who is hosting a crocheting weekend for a group while doing a side job of finding a klepto who is stealing small but meaning trinkets from a couple hosting a party nearby. The mystery is solid but takes a while to get going.

Molly Pink, an interesting woman, who manages to combine side jobs investigating crimes for a lawyer but she somehow manages to keep secret from most of her friends and family, a busy schedule with a crocheting group and also working at a bookstore. I didn't quite buy that she would be able to keep her clandestine side job from her family, some who live with her. Some of the crochet group are a bit annoying but others are engaging.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

The bookstore where Molly works as events coordinator is being renovated, so she and the hookers group (crocheters, that is) are going off to a crochet retreat weekend. Molly, who also works as a private private detective, is combining the retreat with a job for her former boyfriend, Mason. She will be attending a party with him to try to snare a kleptomaniac. When one of her suspects is murdered, she is caught up in that, as well.
The cast of characters is quirky and fun, though the knitting group doesn’t seem all that friendly. Adele, a member of the crochet group, is particularly irritating. The mystery kept me guessing right to the end.

Murder by the Hook by Betty Hechtman

Murder by the Hook is the latest Crochet mystery by Betty Hechtman. I really enjoy this series and this book was no different! The mystery was fun to figure out, the characters were at their quirky best and Molly was really enjoying being a “private” private detective. My only wish for this series is that Molly would decide who she wants to date or maybe pick neither one. In any event, it seems like that has been dragged out long enough. If you are looking for a fun mystery that pokes fun at Hollywood, the California lifestyle and space aliens then this is the book for you. It was fun to escape into Molly’s world and avoid real life for a while!

Poor Molly was torn in a million directions when she agreed to work a case for Mason that happened to be where the crochet getaway was that weekend. Oh boy, Adele was in rare form and I felt sorry for those crocheters having to put up with her 24/7 instead of just their get-together at the bookstore.

Molly’s case was a crazy one and may or may not’ve included aliens and a spaceship, some definite kleptomania (her main reason for working the case) and a man’s death that appeared to be deliberate but couldn’t be proved. No worries, we know when Molly’s on the case, nothing goes unturned…and it didn’t. I’m sure everyone was glad by the time this weekend was over!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by Beyond the Page via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.

Murder by the Hook is book #16 in the Crochet Mystery series by Betty Hechtman.

It’s time for a crochet getaway for Molly Pink and the Tarzana Hookers. The timing works well because Molly is also a private private investigator helping out her ex with a case at the same location. What should have been simple case changes when there is a murder. I liked the characters (mostly) and the crochet references. The mystery kept my interest and kept me guessing. There is a crochet project at the end that I plan to try along with a recipe.

Thank you to the author, Beyond the Page Publishing, and NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Molly and the hookers are off for a girls trip. However, Molly‘s part-time job as a PI has her working on her getaway. Can you manage both a getaway and a case at the same time? As long as Molly doesn’t drop the case or a stitch, or the killer doesn’t get to her first, she mayjust survive the weekend.

I love the name of the crochet group in this book. It always makes for a good chuckle, but it’s a story that keeps me coming back. The author always has a great mystery that we’ve together full of red herrings, and kissed me guessing until the end. Each entry reads fine as a standalone so this is your first one, don’t worry you’re in for a good read.

Cats! Crochet! Mystery! Never has a book called to all my passions like this one. Now I need to read the 15 books that came before this one in the series! Consider me a fan girl of Betty Hechtman from here on out.

Love the descriptions of LA and the house full of family and love. Definitely wanted Molly to end up with her former beau from the get go but I won’t spoil it for you! I appreciated that she has so much more depth and passions and romance doesn’t have to be the only plot point besides murder.

Thank you Beyond the Page for providing this ARC via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed this book. I do believe it was because all the men coming after Molly.
Her other life as a private investigator working for Mason who happens to be an ex. Then we have a murder and another ex turns up - Barry....now Mason and Barry don't like each other.....another story. Then we have a new guy coming after Molly - Bennett. Then we have Mason's new girlfriend who of course is jealous of Molly. Lets not forget that the Hookers are here for the weekend to rest. Yup, it was an interesting time for Molly and she really had her hands full.
Adele would not like me because I love to knit (smile)

The newest entry in the series continues the adventures of Molly Pink, her crocheting friends, family and her ex-boyfriends. Molly, retired, but still so active is an undercover p.i. for her ex Mason. Her newest assignment is to pose as Mason's cousin and find a kleptomaniac at a swanky party. Molly and her hooker friends(crocheters) travel to the countryside to have a weekend of crocheting. Molly makes an excuse and goes off to find the kelpto but also finds murder. I really like the characters, the humor and the pace of this cozy. Looking forward to the next in the series. Thanks to NetGalley for the arc.

Really enjoyed Murder by the Hook by author Betty Hectman, as someone who is starting out with crochet this novel really interested me and held my attention.

This novel is one from a series, which I have not read but I found it perfectly readable as a standalone novel.

I really enjoyed the characters, especially the main female Molly and thought that crochet and murder was a very interesting storyline and very easy to read.

Thanks to the author, Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Molly Pink works at a store in Tarzana and has a side job as a detective for her ex. The store is closing for renovations so Molly and The Hookers set off for Pixie, California for a weekend of crocheting. Unfortunately, her side hustle has a new job-finding a kleptomaniac at a mansion which just happens to be in Pixie. The story becomes crazier when a guest at the mansion is found dead.

This is the first book I’ve read in this series. I found the story enjoyable although the characters did get confusing. I would recommend this series. #NetGalley

It's raining men for Molly! The Hookers go on a weekend together while the store is under renovation. It was a refreshing change to have the story take place out of the bookstore. Unfortunately, it featured alot of Adele. Adele is annoying as all get out as the author intends but honestly her rants etc just make me skip sections. I do think if the character were toned down or maybe moves away the books would be better. Her character really adds little value to the series.

Book #16 in this series of cozy mysteries centered around a crocheting group who manages to get into and out of trouble on a regular basis. I'm a long time crochet addict and relax with an audio cozy while creativity flows from my hook. Betty Hechtman has a winning character in Molly. Throw in a recipe and a pattern and it's tailor made for we "hookers".
