Librarian's Note: This is an alternate/new cover for ASIN B00H06NGBM

He's addicted to booze. She's addicted to sex...staying sober is only half the battle.

No. More. Sex.

Those are the three words Lily Calloway fears the most. But Loren Hale is determined to be with Lily without enabling her dangerous compulsions. With their new living situation—sleeping in the same bed, for real, together—Lily has new battles. Like not jumping Lo’s bones every night. Not being consumed by sex and his body.

Loren plans to stay sober, to right all of his wrongs. So when someone threatens to expose Lily’s secret to her family and the public, he promises that he’ll do anything to protect her. But with old enemies surfacing, Lo has more at stake than his sobriety.

They will torment Lily until Lo breaks.

And his worst fear isn’t relapsing. He hears the end. He sees it. The one thing that could change everything. Just three words.

No. More. Us.

“she is my past, my present, my future. so when i open the door and slide into the driver’s seat, i’m not surprised that it feels like i’m returning home.”

this quote. loren hale. infinity stars. this entire series has consumed me from the very first book. i feel the same way about this series as lily and lo feel about each other😭i feel as if i’m returning home every time i read these books. this is by far my favorite series and i’m not even close to being finished. the emotional rollercoaster that this book alone put me through…i seriously don’t know how i’m going to recover once i’m finished with these beautifully written books. this book finally gave me the dual pov i was hoping for and let me tell you…loren’s pov is everything and more. lilo’s journey is one that i never wanna stop following. they’ve both come so far and i have never been more proud🥹the ending of this book was sooo good! i also love that there was a little bit of mystery in this book even if it made me fumeee. i can’t wait to continue lilo’s story. gentle reminder to search trigger warnings my loves🫶🏼

“but i remember lily, and i immediately tell myself no. no alcohol.”

“i smile. god, i can’t believe i’m smiling after all that has happened. the fact that this girl can upturn my lips after such a bad day makes me never want to let her go.”

“that’s all i had to do. choose her before alcohol. and i picked wrong for so many years.”

“he wished i wasn’t alive. but truth is, i kind of did too. until i looked at lily. until i talked to her. i don’t think i could have survived this life without that girl.”

finally having lo’s pov and seeing him struggle with fighting his addiction and staying sober was so hard😭i love this man. i want nothing but the best for him and lily. guys these quotes kill me. she’s his guardian angel. she’s there for him and helping him in more ways than one. it’s so beautiful guys i can’t. lilo supremacy. ladies…i hope you all find your lo🥹🫶🏼ik i have.

“he’s a lifeline i cannot quantify or articulate. i depend on him more than any girl should depend on a boy, but he’s the backbone of my life. without him, i will fall.”

“i don’t know how to live without you. and i don’t want to know how. i don’t want to find out.”

“he is my breath, my soul, my life-force. i have spent forever with him. being apart is the most unnatural feeling in the world.”

“i could not live without lo. he is as much a part of me as the sun is a part of the sky, as the earth is to the universe. i need him in order to wake up in the morning. i need him to feel whole.”

“he’s filling my every single need. he’s taking care of me. only lo can satisfy every part of my all-consuming soul. he is truly my everything.”

the way lily describes how she feels about lo makes my heart melt every single time. i love seeing lo through her eyes. the most beautiful thing about lilo’s love is that every time they struggle with their addictions…they instantly think about each other and remind themselves that they need to be strong so they can help each other overcome their addictions🥹🥹the power of love and what it can do is really shown in lilo’s story and it’s beautiful, but sometimes heartbreaking.

“my worst fear may be starting to come true. he’s strong, committed and sober. i’m unhealthy and struggling in my addiction. my weakness is too much for him. i’m pulling him down. i’m a weight.”
“lo, do you want to break up with me?”
“lil, don’t ever ask me that again.”
“i wouldn’t blame you. i mean, i would try to stop you, but i would understand. you’re strong and i’m…”
“i had rehab. i had lots of help, lil. your addiction is much different, and there’s less support there. i knew i’d be strong and you’d be struggling. it’s just the way it is is. i’m prepared for this. i won’t leave. i won’t ever fucking leave.”

“why do you love me, lil?”
“lo, really, where are you?”
“just answer me. please. why do you love me?”
“when we were eleven, we were at your house, reading comics. do you remember?”
“yeah.”
“we both knew you were like hellion. you make the wrong choices, even when you know where the right ones lie. but that day, you said you aspired to be cyclops. scott summers was strong. he took care of everyone in the face of crisis. he was a man that people wanted by their side. lo, you’ve made it. you’re my scott summers, and without you, i wouldn’t be here. lo, i need you to know that i’m not going anywhere. i’ll always be here when you come home. there will always be an us.”
“a lo and lily.”
“or lily and lo.”
“thank you.”
“don’t fucking drink, loren hale.”
“i love you, lil.”

these two conversations have literally changed me. two conversations where one of them is struggling and the other is talking them through it. the power of love. the power of their love. beautiful, but heartbreaking at the same time. when i tell you guys i was literally sobbing so hard through these moments. watching them fall and pick each other back up was so hard. my heart ached for them. even when they felt weak, they still proved to each other that they’re strong. i admire their strength and dedication. to some…they’re flawed. to me…they’re perfect🥹🫶🏼

“i smile. this is why i love her—why i relish in the fact that i’m going to wake up next to her, my arms wrapped around her delicate body. she’s fucking adorable.”

“lily told me that she’s rose’s numero uno bitch—and she said it all with a flourish of pride, which i found pretty adorable.”

“i take her hand, intertwining her fingers with mine. her shoulders slacked and she turns to look at me, releasing a giant breath at the same time. i can’t help but smile. she’s cute, even when she doesn’t mean to be.”

“i smile as i try to recall an angry lily. she does kind of a look like a little monster, but i find it more adorable than frightening.”

“as soon as lily sees the small package, she crawls over to me and holds out both hands like she’s trying to catch rain. it’s beyond adorable.”

a thread of lo thinking lily is cute/adorable. my face hurts so bad from smiling so much. every time i read these quotes…i physically just had to put my book down and scream bc look at how fucking cute this shit is omg. loren hale is 100% in love with his girl. these quotes are my fave🫶🏼🥹

let me briefly talk about raisy and coballoway even though i have so much to say about them. ryke is such a grump, but has a total soft spot for daisy. he’s being a friend that she needs in her life at this moment, it’s beyond precious. i’ve already felt heartbreak for daisy and ryke for different reasons. i can’t wait to dive deeper into their story. i’ve said it before and i’ll gladly say it again…their banter is🤌🏼there are so many raisy highlights in this book that had me smiling, but if i keep talking about them…my review is going to turn into a novel. connor and rose hehe the next book is theirs and i’m so excited. the way they speak to each other in french always gets me. their relationship is definitely complicated and i’m excited to read more about them as main characters🫶🏼the character development is sooo fucking good i see it with every single character.

“lo?” ryke’s voice turns serious. “hey, talk to me.”
“tell my why i shouldn’t.”
“because one drink isn’t worth what you’ll feel in the morning.”
“that’s not good enough.”
“you’ll puke. because you love lily more than that.”

i love ryke. i will protect that man with my life. ryke and lo’s relationship has truly blossomed from book one to now and i absolutely love to see it. their bond is one of my faves and will forever be cherished🫶🏼🫶🏼

i could go on and on with this review because this book was so amazing, but i fear my review has gotten extremely long at this point so i’m going to leave you besties with a few more of my favorite quotes.

“but the part of me that loves her, the one that i choose to listen to, is so fucking proud of this girl.”

“she shoots me the signature rose calloway glare—the one that looks like she’s two seconds from eating your soul. i glower back, but internally, i want to run the fuck away. i don’t know how connor smiles when she looks at him like that.”

“and while i appreciate the sentiments behind that threat, it’s really unnecessary. i have no intention of hurting rose.”

“sometimes the person we think we’ll become is the person we already are, and the person we truly become is the person we least expect.”

if you need a series to bring you back to life…this is the one bestie. if i could buy the whole series for each and every one of you guys, i seriously would😭😭the new editions are coming out with bonus content! (yes i will be owning those books too). krista and becca ritchie can have all of my money.

ps: this review is so long and took 2 hours to write, but just know that there are not enough words in the dictionary and not enough time in the world to describe how i feel about these books…so i consider myself lucky and proud that i got this far😂

⟡ this is undeniably my favorite book in the series so far, and i've been debating for a while what i'm going to rate this one. for now, it's going to be a five star. 🥹 while the other books have been centered so much around lily + lo's pain, this one was centered around their healing journey. getting to see them flourish and slowly adapt to the changes that getting better has brought to their life was soso beautiful. how they can now share small gentle touches without lily getting turned on, and lo being around people drinking without giving into the nagging thoughts to drink. while they had strong feelings for each other in the height of their addictions, now they are absolutely infatuated with each other while healing. they really have come so far, and i couldn't be more proud of them. (of course, that doesn't mean they didn't have their ups + downs, but being able to push through that and come out stronger than ever was the most important part).

⟡ i think the vacation scenes were my favorite of this story, though. it was highly entertaining, from daisy causing trouble, to ryke getting scolded for his "non-existent" crush on daisy, to melissa pouting the entire time. it was really fun to read about, and it made me realize how close these characters have grown to each other. found family is forever my favorite trope, and seeing how closely knitted this friend group is with each other makes me heart ache in the best way. you can tell everyone truly cares for each other, but especially for lily and lo. they hold each other accountable, while still supporting them all the way.

oh my gosh, where to even start. my love has grown so big for lily, and she's truly one of my favorite fmcs ever. what she went through in this book was so horrific. for one, getting her addiction publicly spread through the media. she is so ashamed of her addiction, and only told a handful of people, but thousands of people are aware of it. she has creepy men sending her disgusting things in the mail, men harrassing her out in public. the scenes where she gets SA'd because they think she "wants it" actually broke my heart. also, the scene with her shitty therapist actually filled me with rage, because women go through this stuff every single day. lily deserves so much better from, not only the public, but also her own parents. at the end of the day, it's not her fault she has an addiction that very little people understand. i can't wait to see the rest of her healing process in the other books, even though im scared to see what else will be thrown at her. hopefully she will be able to live happily from now on (but there's still two lilo books left, so who tf knows)

'now that i'm clean, im never gonna risk it' is so him i could cry. he also has come such a long way, and i couldn't be more proud of him. he does have his bumps in the road, as every person in recovery does, but he's not once taken a sip of alcohol and i applaud him so much for that. not only does he have to battle his own addiction, but he also has to help lily though hers, and he manages it all so well. i'm so glad lily has his shoulder to lean on, because he's truly an amazing boyfriend to her. his story with his dad is heartbreaking to me, seeing how his dad emotionally abuses him but lo mistakes it for love + compassion sometimes, even when he knows he shouldn't. i sincerely hope that one day he will be strong enough to walk away from his dad, and realize that he's so much better off without him.

⋮ ⌗ ┆ lily + lo
꒰ video games by lana del rey ⊹₊ ⋆

one of my new favorite couples of all time. everything about them is so captivating, yet emotional, and i sincerely believe that i could read a hundred books about them and never get tired. the way they love each other reminds me so much of joey and aoife's love, that kind where you go through the toughest of things but still make it out alive, hand in hand. 🥹 seeing them stop enabling each other, but instead helping each other through their highs and lows is so special to me, and seeing how their healing journeys has bettered their relationship makes me want to cry. now, they can finally start to be more intimate, with soft kisses + gentle touches + hand holding, without anything else happening. they've come so far, and i couldn't be more proud. i will forever love them.

also, i would be lying if i said i didn't sob at the end of this book. him proposing to her in such a simple but adorable way was just too much for me to handle. they really are one of those couples where i know they will make it in the long run, because they truly are soulmates.

⋮ ⌗ ┆ rose + connor
꒰ margaret by lana del rey ⊹₊ ⋆

when i tell you that i'm excited for their book, that would be an understatement. rose and connor have quickly became my everything, and i love their relationship so much. nobody understands rose like connor does, and nobody genuinely KNOWS connor the way rose does. i'm excited for their backstory, because i know they were academic rivals since they were kids, and now they are in love, but continue to break up constantly. i also know that rose is a virgin and is terrified of intimacy, so at the slightest problem she breaks up with connor (if that's not relatable to me, then idk what is).

⋮ ⌗ ┆ daisy + ryke
꒰ invisible string by taylor swift ⊹₊ ⋆

their friendship in this book was everything. daisy is my fav sunshine girl ever, and getting to read more about her struggles definitely hurt. she hates for people to see her upset, and feels like nobody really understands her. also, she is a daredevil all of a sudden, and i have a feeling that there's a more depressing story behind that. ryke had his struggles through this book as well, and the betrayal from his mom at the end of the book made me sad for him. he is so compassionate and caring of everyone around him, and he always wants the best for other people, so i want the best for him. him taking daisy on motorcycle lessons is the cutest thing, and i can't wait for their books in the future.

⊹ ࣪ ˖ “because i think she loves you more than she loves sex. and you love her more than you love alcohol, but you two just haven’t let yourselves believe it yet.”

┆ ⤿ 🧸 ⌗ final thoughts
⟡ i can't wait to see where the rest of the series leads from here. lo and lily are finally beginning to find happiness + are getting married, rose and connor are falling in love, & daisy and ryke are just beginning. i already know this series is going to stick with me for many years after reading it, and knowing im only halfway throught it is so exciting. i still have many more adventures to come with the core six.

I seriously cannot stop reading/listening to these books. In less than a week, I’ve listened to 1, 1.5, and 2 (which is over 40 hours of audio) I’m not reading much at all because I am incapable of pushing pause on this all-consuming series! Now I keep telling myself to slow down because what will I listen to next when this series is over?!? I am loving these books so much, and this is my favorite of the series so far. It still focuses on my favorite couple, Lily and Lo, but we also get more of the other couples. There is love, laughter, healing, and even a little suspense!
“I need you to know that I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always be here when you come home. There will always be an us.”

Someone has told the world about Lily Calloway’s sex addiction. This destroys Lily. Lo is newly sober, but is determined to be there for Lily no matter what. He is her rock. She needs him to help with her addiction and to be there to love and support her, and he does 100%.

description

The couple is on spring break vacation with the rest of the gang for a good part of the book. It brings new challenges for Lily and Lo and gives you more time with the other characters as well. The best part about this one… dual pov! That’s right my friends- we get Lily AND Lo’s perspective. It was great being in both of their heads and I think it added so much more to the story.

Lily and Lo are two characters I love so much. Everyone talks about how much they love Connor and Ryke in these books, and they’re great, but for me, Lo is the favorite. I love how much he loves Lily. How understanding he is, how he never judges her. He just loves her. He sees her more than a sex addict. She is worth everything to him.
She shrunk into herself and waited for me to stare at her like she was gross and dirty. But I just wanted to hold her and tell her that she was worth so much more than whatever she was searching for.

It makes me so happy to see this couple overcome some of their obstacles. They are characters you will root for. The writing in these books are flawless. I am enjoying this series so much. Addicted for Now gets a full 5 stars from me. I can’t wait to get into the next one, which is the first spin off and features Connor and Rose. Even though Rose isn’t my favorite character, I have a feeling it won’t disappoint!

“I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always be here when you come home. There will always be an us.”
“A Lo and Lily,” I breathe.
“Or Lily and Lo.”

I want to inject this story, these words, into my veins, into my blood and soul, so I can never get Lily and Loren out of my system. This was the book that made me fall in love with Lilo and their breathtaking and soulmate-like love story, and this reread just proved how much I love them and how precious Core Six is to me. This book taught me a lot—this series and these characters basically altered my brain chemistry, and I will never be the same.

Addictions are one of the most horrible things in the world. They not only destroy the addict but also those who are exposed to their lives. And seeing it all—the messiness, the destruction, the willingness to do right by the people you love, the slow healing, the healthy coping mechanisms, the second chances, it’s the most realistic portrayal I have read in a series.

Lily’s portrayal in this book as a struggling sex addict who is in therapy, learning to have a healthy sex life while also working on healthy coping mechanisms, is remarkably done. Her healing is a two-way process, she’s trying to show trust in others by letting them help her with her addictions. And Lo did so much for her in this book, along with her sister, Rose. She still feels like she doesn’t deserve happiness or a normal life, or that being a sex addict is something dirty that needs to be hidden from everyone. She’s trying her best to accept her new self—the version that loves Loren, the one who’s trying so hard to do her best for herself, achieving new milestones in her healing, and I am so proud of my girl.

“He is as much a part of me as the sun is a part of the sky, as the earth is to the universe. I need him in order to wake up in the morning. I need him to feel whole.”

Loren Hale has a permanent place in my heart. I have never loved a fictional character this much, never felt so connected to one like I do with him. Lo is a recovering alcoholic in this book. After coming back from rehab, he’s trying to make sense of his reality as a non-alcoholic while also helping Lily with her addiction. He still struggles every day, hates himself, but he makes an effort not to relapse. Lily and Ryke are his biggest support system, the people who make him stronger and happier. Lo still doesn’t see himself as a good person. He hates and blames himself for the life Lily and Ryke have lived in the past, but he’s wrong about it all. He is not responsible for anyone’s happiness. This man has infinite love for Lily but not even a drop of it for himself, but I know he’ll get there one day, and I am here for him.

“She loves me because she believes I’m strong. She loves me because she’s a part of me. She loves me because I’ve become a better man through all of this.”

Lily and Loren
Best friends. Lovers. Soulmates.

I love these two amazing and incredible people with every fibre of my being. To put it simply, I come alive whenever I read their story or even just think about them. They have made a home for themselves in my life and my heart. I think about them daily—they are a part of my life, literally. I don’t think it’s possible to find a love like theirs in this lifetime because Lilo is the true and raw definition of soulmates. It was pure pain and agony to watch Lilo struggle to find a semblance of balance in their lives while also battling their addictions, sustaining their present life and friendships, and dealing with the repercussions of their past. But they came out of it alive and together, and that’s all that matters. They didn’t give up on themselves—not on each other—and they had friends supporting them throughout their journey.

“In all our life, he has never once said to me, you are mine. He has never taken me the way I’ve taken him. He has given himself to me.”

The couple’s growth is beautifully done. Lily and Loren are finding a new rhythm in their intimate yet still raw relationship, which could crumble at any moment. But they are putting in the effort, truly opening up to each other about their struggles and the hardships that come with their recovery process. They chose effort over sacrifice, took a chance on a future they don’t even dare to dream of yet, but one that exists for them. They took a chance to help and understand each other—to let trust, love, and healing become the most integral parts of their lives. I broke for them many times, but every time they fought back, my heart swelled with so much pride and love for them. I believed in them the first time I read their books, and I will believe in them for years to come.

“We have lived together, loved together, and fucked up together. I’m not sure many people can truly say that about someone else.”

All the side characters were incredible, and seeing them help Lilo was reassuring and comforting. I love how protective Rose and Connor are—I loved seeing them fall in love. Ryke didn’t get on my nerves here because he is unwavering and loving when it comes to Lo, and I love him for that. I love Daisy and Ryke, but I still can’t forget Ryke’s shameless flirting with Daisy, knowing she’s just a teenager. It gives me the ick.

“I think the six of us—we’re all strong. We’re each just a different kind of strong. But we all have a different kind of weak too.”

Addicted for Now is the most heartbreaking book in the Addicted series. My heart was breaking on every page, but it was all worth it in the end. This is where the real character development of Lily and Loren begins. They are still the same people but have shown immense growth. They cannot just be magically healed in one book, and there is a long journey ahead of them, but at least they are fighting for their future. They are finally making changes in their previously dysfunctional relationship to make it work because their love is bigger than their addictions. This book deals with heavy topics, and I loved how the authors did not try to sugarcoat their addictions but actually represented the dark and broken side of recovery.

“I’m prepared to be there for her every fucking step of the way. Even if she wants to drown in this water, I’m going to pull her back up until she’s healthy. Until she can stand on her own two feet.”

The final chapters are a rollercoaster of raw and vulnerable emotions. Loren doubting his own existence, Lily going through that traumatic and disgusting experience with her new therapist—it broke my heart. But the last chapter was everything. Loren Hale, how many times are you going to steal my heart? The proposal was so perfect and romantic, and I am so happy and excited to see how they are going to thrive and grow in the next phases of their lives.

“She is my past, my present, my future. So when I open the door and slide into the driver’s seat, I’m not surprised that it feels like I’m returning home.”

I will definitely be putting a pause on this series for now. I may pick it up again one day, but not anytime soon. The story continues with Lily still struggling with her addiction. Lo is doing better in this one, so this one focused on Lily more. In fact, so many messed-up things happened to Lily in this one, and I was just over it. At this point, it felt like we were adding things to the plot just to release a book.

I’m not too fond of Ryke and Daisy's plot line. It’s very inappropriate. Nothing really happens between them but what was the point of the continuos hints? And the fact that they do have a book ?!

i decide to wait to review this book because i had to let it sink in first. but I‘M OBSESSED ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

i knew what i was in for because i‘ve already read the previous books but this one was not like the rest. crying, laughter i went through all these emotions while reading this perfect book.

this series has a very special place in my heart as it‘s not a „typical romance“ book. it deals with issues so carefully and with so much emotion. you grow to love loren and lily more as you go along.

“because I think she loves you more than she loves sex. and you love her more than you love alcohol, but you two just haven’t let yourselves believe it yet.”

“I need you to know that I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always be here when you come home. There will always be an us. “A Lo and Lily,” I breathe. “Or Lily and Lo.”

I think this might be my favorite book of the series even without having finished the others. It was genuinely phenomenal and I’m so so happy I devoured it as slowly as I could.

After both books were in Lily’s pov and Ricochet focused on her growth and recovery with her addiction — it meant the world to me to finally hear lo’s pov to see what was in that complex mind of his as it was completely essential to understanding him and his struggles with his addiction

Addicted for now encompasses both lily and lo’s continued journey towards their recovery. They’re both still fighting the hollowness and urges that come with their addictions, still receiving the utmost beautiful support they could have and more, and still at odds with how to navigate through it all — but ultimately both are there for one another in ways their addictions didn’t allow them to be before.

As things seem to be progressing in their recovery, something unexpected happens that threatens to hinder the progress they’ve made from rehab and therapy. The threatening aspect gave the book a lil suspense/mystery to it and I was all for it. It was such a shocker to say the least. Anyway, here you could say lily and lo are both done enabling one another and it’s up to them to fight for themselves than to sink back into old habits.

I knew to expect the highs and lows that comes with recovery and that is definitely what you’ll get here. It was refreshing to see all of it portrayed so brutally honest, realistically, flawlessly, heartwarming, humorously at times, and addictively I should say. I loved and didn’t want it to end.

The love here between lilo felt so safe, handled with such care and the way lo handled all that came with lily's addiction (while also struggling himself) and at the guise of her therapist?? I cherished it. I truly adored lo so much in this I couldn’t get enough of him. It’s hard to romanticize a character whose dealing and in recovery from an addiction but that aside—lo and his heart when it comes to lily and how he supports and speaks to her had me swooning.

Their relationship and the love for one another was also way less toxic and much healthier and it just managed to surpass their initial enabling and destructive behaviors as both are evidently each others anchors. They truly deserve all the best 🥹

I could go on for days of all that I loved about them, but it wouldn’t do it justice as reading it firsthand would.

I was so much more consumed here with the little found family lo and lily found with her sisters and Connor and Ryke — all differences aside. I enjoyed seeing all of them working together to help them both and treasured it very much and this solidified my appreciation and love for the found family trope with ALL of them

I’m definitely looking forward to Connors and rose’s book bc of their obvious banter, their conversations, and being academic rivals just left me intrigued for more

Knowing about what transpires between Ryke and Daisy was inevitable. It’s difficult not to see the obvious difference between them being inappropriate. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious to know how it’ll be explored in their book.

As this was dual pov, it was so engaging to read through. The Ritchie sisters managed to write and pace everything so smoothly and beautifully and it has undeniably become one of my favorite series and lilo my favorite flawed humans.

Some parts quotes

“And I’m going to move so slow that three months ago will feel like yesterday. And tomorrow will feel like today, and no one in this fucking universe will be able to say your name without saying mine.”

“He is my breath. My soul. My life-force … He’s Loren Hale. Ice and whiskey. Powerful and intoxicating. He’s my very best friend.”

"We're supposed to be getting better." “And there will be roadblocks and setbacks," "just because you hit one doesn't mean you let me down. If anything, I'm proud of you for handling it like this."

"Lo," she says, "you've made it. You're my Scott Summers, and without you, I wouldn't be here."

“I’ll show you.” 🫠 literally screamed here (page 507 I think)

“I'm ready to start the newest chapter of our lives. One where we're not assaulted by our vices. One where we're happy.”

“A female sex addict? A slut. A male sex addict? A hero.”

“You just have to believe that you’ll be strong enough in the end. Even if the middle is all fucked up.”

“Being sober isn’t our only challenge. Becoming human, functioning people in this big vast world means making friendships and sustaining the very few that we already have.”

“I think the six of us—we’re all strong. We’re each just a different kind of strong. But we all have a different kind of weak too.”

FIRST FIVE STARS FOR THE ADDICTED SERIES!
OBSESSED OBSESSED OBSESSED OBSESSED

OVERALL THOUGHTS

You guys have NO IDEA how much I've grown to love this series. I feel like I personally know the characters. I'M ONE OF THE GANG! I love it so much already SUBJECTIVELY, but I also must say that it got much better OBJECTIVELY. It's so visible that the authors are living, breathing and talking through these characters. They understand the characters and their actions so well, and no matter how easy to achieve that sounds, trust me it's NOT. The „of course they know their own characters“ doesn't really work in fiction, especially in contemporary romance. And also, the first book was objectively pretty bad (I really liked the story don't hate me) but the execution wasn't good. The characters were 2dimensional and basic. And to come from such a wattpady way of writing to something this good doesn't deserve anything short of 5 stars. Also, I can confidently say this since I've changed my way of reading (this last book I listened to as an audiobook) and it was equally good. Yes, changing the method of reading can sometimes affect my judgment (or so I think).

I'm so thankful to the girlies on here who WOULDN'T STOP RAVING about this series, I'M SO SERIOUS THANK YOU, I'M having the time of my life. 💖💖💖💖💖💖

A PSYCHOTIC BREAK-THROUGH THE CHARACTERS

LILY – My baby, I would give this girl the world. Yes, she's still very immature and messy, but let's be fair, her life was just like that and let the girl HEAL. And also, for every bad thing she has done, she PAID two times more. I truly enjoyed her POVs in this one and can't wait to talk to her again.

LO- I'm amazed at how much he has grown as a character. HE'S THE GUY YOU SHOULD BE OBSESSING OVER (just so you know I'm so fr about this one). My man is committed to being sober and now, I feel like we really got to see how kind he's at heart. Also, I just lovelovelove how he became a businessman (not going to spoil this any further), I'm so excited to see where's this portion of the story going to go.

RYKE- HEAR ME OUT,,,,,,
Pls
Pls
I hated this guy in the first two books (and I sort of still do hate him for the situation with Daisy) BUT I might give him a second chance. He was much better in this book, really sassy also, I like his game, I trully find him so amusing. We're going to see (really soon) if I'll regret this.

DAISY- my spirit animal, my sunshine. I love her so much, and out of all the characters, I honestly relate to her the most. Maybe it's based on the lack of knowledge on her character, BUT, she's my comfort person. I can't wait to see how is her story going to expand (more her independently than the romance part tbh). This girl is so full of life, I just have so much love for her.

ROSE- WELL, my least favorite Calloway sister so far, maybe based (again) on the lack of knowledge. I have no information on her whatsoever, besides her being EXTREMELY AND UNNECESSARY PRUDE. But she can stand up for herself and the people she loves, and that's strong and beautiful (I LOVE IT WHEN WOMEN)

CONNOR- I CAN'T EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH, SOMETHING IS UP WITH THIS GUY, MY SCORPIO MOON KNOWS THAT SOMETHING'S NOT RIGHT. I would legit skip the next book (I know it's ROSE&CONNOR) if it weren't for my curiosity (does it kill the cat??) I don't particularly like him as a character, I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT IS HE HIDING.

Immediately starting the next book

Hope you enjoyed whatever this was lol 😆

(updating as looking back this is probably more like a 4 star read rather than 5)

My love for this series continues to grow with every book, and I’m so thankful the journey isn’t over yet 🫶🏻 I love the characters. I love the story. I love the friendships and relationships. I seriously love everything about it.

With the previous books being mostly about Lily’s addiction and recovery, we finally get to see how Lo is coping with his own. I’ve never wanted a dual POV more, I was so happy when I saw the chapter names and realised we were finally getting it!!! And let me tell you, it does not disappoint. He struggles through not only with his own battles, but with Lily’s too. The dedication and devotion he has for her makes me so happy to see and I love him so much more for it.

“Hey, Lil…” His thumb skims my cheek. “You’re okay.” He must recognize the fear in my eyes. “I won’t ever desert you, love. Not for a goddamn moment. You’re mine to take care of, you understand?”

Lily and Lo have to learn how to handle their relationship in new ways which is more difficult than ever before. There’s some mystery mixed in when the unthinkable happens, and the things they both have to deal with is honestly so heartbreaking.

I am so proud of the way they handle everything that’s thrown at them. They deal with all that whilst also trying their best to evolve their relationship into something healthier. They’re there for each other whenever things get hard no matter what. Gone is the toxicity and the enabling. Their journey is written with such raw emotion that it’s impossible not to feel every high and low along with them. I just want the best for them 🥺💘

There’s some scenes near the end of the book between Lily and her new psychiatrist which were very uncomfortable, but the portrayal of it was done really well and just shows the honest and stark reality of what it’s like for some going through therapy.

It’s not all heartbreak though and there are a ton of sweet moments throughout the book. One of my favourites being the idea Lo comes up with to provide for himself. It’s so perfect and kinda like a full circle moment 🦸🏻🗯️

I think the six of us—we’re all strong. We’re each just a different kind of strong. But we all have a different kind of weak too. And I’m figuring out how to bottle my weakness to help them all.

Lily and Lo continue to have support throughout the entire journey from Rose, Connor, Daisy, and Ryke. I love this little found family and I enjoyed all their moments together. They each have their own stories going on, which I can’t wait to read more about next in the Calloway Sisters series 🤭

i am so happy i pushed through this book because i really ended up loving it! the first 2 books and the first half of this book just weren’t really doing it for me, i felt like it was a lot of ‘world building’ (us getting to know characters, dynamics, and situations that are important to the story) but once this book started rolling IT STARTED ROLLING. there was so much drama to keep me entertained and i LOVE all of these characters in their own ways! i cant wait to see what these stories have to hold! i’m going to be so sad when it’s all over

not me forgetting to write a review to this book, forgive me plz. in my defense.. I was BAWLING my eyes out, I couldn’t even see straight so please picture me trying to write my feelings. anyways. Lily & Lo own me. they fully own my heart, and my soul. Loren Hale owns my body as well but we don’t have to get into that. They deserve all the happiness in the world, I am obsessed with this book and this entire universe. The way I cried so much with the QUOTES in this, amazing. I am content, I am amazed, I am fully ready to dedicate my life to talking about Lily & Lo.

not me rating EVERY book so far in this series 5 stars.

this was the third book in the series (i’m following the recommended reading order) and i simply got everything i could have asked for from it. but this time not only was there struggle, love, friendship, family, and everything else that comes with this series…there was also a touch of mystery. and if you know me you know i’m a mystery girlie so i ate that uppp. i also found myself loving so many quotes and smiling.

lo and lily are learning how to navigate their new way of living, and with that comes painful moments but also great ones that had me clapping for them. but something is making overcoming their addictions much harder for them: someone is threatening to tell the world about lily’s addiction. who could it possibly be? what will lily do? ryke, connor, rose, and lo stay by her side as they try to figure this out. but even in the drama, there’s lighthearted moments and new characters to meet, great therapy representation, and an ending that has me internally SCREAMING.

this book was just okay for me. i honestly struggled with the first half because it started off soooooooo slow, and i kept waiting for something to actually happen. it didn’t really pick up until around the 50% mark, and up until then, i was seriously thinking this might end up being a 1 or 2 star read.

what saved it for me was definitely daisy, ryke, rose, and connor. every time they were around, i felt way more entertained and actually cared about what was happening. they bring so much energy and personality, and i found myself looking forward to their scenes the most.

i like lily and lo, but they’re definitely my least favorite out of the group. their storyline in this one felt a little repetitive at times, and i just wasn’t as invested in them as i hoped i’d be.

one thing i will say is i really wish daisy wasn’t a minor and ryke is literally twenty-two—i genuinely hate it. it makes me so uncomfortable, and i’m hoping it’s handled better moving forward because they’re both such great characters, but this part of their story is not it.

that being said, i’m still excited to keep going because i’ve heard the series only gets better from here—and i need more daisy, ryke, rose, and connor in my life asap. 💗

⤷ so excited to continue this! i can’t wait to see how lily and lo’s bond grows even deeper and how they continue to support each other through everything. hopefully, this book will be a 4 or 5 star! 🩷

Reread:

Still one of the hardest Lilo books to read but their development in here is beautiful. I’m so proud of my babies. I’ve taken over a month to read it because I was dreading the heartbreak I knew it would cause me. It just breaks me too much but they’re so worth it ❤️‍🩹

This book has me in a chokehold. The way I sobbed way too much reading this. Seeing Lily and Lo’s progression throughout these last few books has been surreal. They did a full 180 and I have never been more proud of two fictional characters. They are so beautiful and they deserve the absolute world. 🥹🫶🏽

”She is my past, my present, my future. So when I open the door and slide into the driver’s seat, I’m not surprised that it feels like I’m returning home.”

The leak reveal??? Yeah that got me cause I was NOT expecting that. So many emotionsssss!!

I’m warming up to Ryke and Daisy but I’m still not fully on board I still kinda feel uncomfortable but I know Ryke comes from a good place and she doesn’t listen to anyone else.

I am SO EXCITED to read Connor and Rose’s book I love them so much those two intellects. I can listen to them fight all day long.

The friendships, the dysfunctional families, the flawed relationships made this so heavy but also so beautiful when they came together to help each other out.

❗ THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FROM PREVIOUS BOOKS & THIS BOOK ❗

addicted for now follows loren hale and lily calloway fighting their addictions after coming back from rehab & visiting a therapist while trying to mend their relationship with their families & friends.

tropes
➳ childhood friends to lovers
➳ friends to lovers
➳ found family

did i eat this book up or did it eat me up?? wow 🥹🥹. this is the book where i fell for lilo. when i finished this book, i was so proud of them for not giving into their addictions in this book and helping each other fight their addictions even if it hurt them.

loren (lo) hale was the sweetest ever i loved him SO MUCH. the way he helped lily and said no to her whenever she wanted to do something that was off the blacklist or whenever she wanted to read porn was just showing how much he truly loved her. it broke his heart to deny her of anything but he still did. that there, ladies and gentlemen, is true love. i loved how he always, always, always supported her and would fight anyone who did or said anything against her. his chapter when lily's addiction got leaked broke my heart 🥲🥲.

i'm so proud of my girl lily calloway. i was clapping and cheering from the sidelines and SHE DID IT 🥹🥹🥹. her setting guidelines for herself and going to the therapist was showing how much she truly wanted to stop her addiction. when she stayed abstinent for 3 months i was so freaking proud of her. i love you girl.

the plot is the huge part of this book. this is where MAJOR spoilers begin. i want to sentence lily's mom to lifetime in prison because she was so fucking annoying and mean for no reason. can you please love and support your daughter for God's sake??? when lily's addiction got revealed, the only thing her mom thought was how much money her family was going to lose and how she would no longer be able to buy $1 million designer bags anymore. bitch you don't even own the company or do anything to help it 😭😭. lily's addiction getting revealed AND RYKE'S MOM BEING THE LEAKER shocked me so hard. this book was a rollercoaster. (i almost started crying when lily's addiction got revealed lmfao)

now.. i love ryke but him flirting with daisy was a bit too far (😭😭) tbh telling her about sex positions was 🤠 🤠 i hope he redeems himself in the future books 🙏🙏

CONNOR COBALT MY FUCKING MAN SDJFDSJFJSDFJSDJFJSDFJSDJF!!!!! i have NO WORDS for how much i love this man and will do absolutely anything for him!!!! 🤭🤭🤭 him and rose were and still are EVERYTHING to me. their little crumbs made me giggle out loud and their love is the most unique thing ever 🥹🥹🥹 also connor's little insults to ryke were the funniest thing ever. please marry me I love you 💍💍💍

overall, this is my favorite book of the series so far. i don't know what krista & Becca Ritchie put in this book, but i was invested to the point that i stayed up until 3 am reading this. lo and lily's relationship grew so much into something so much better than it was in the first book, and i loved reading about every step of the way 🥹🥹. the side characters also bumped this book up a star for me because wow, the way kbm can create so many such different characters in one book is absolutely insane to me. they all have their different problems and stories and I loved reading about them (especially my husband & wife (coballoway)) 🤭🤭🤭 i'm so excited to start kiss the sky after this (hoping for a 5 star) 💐💐💐

some quotes!
“he is my breath. my soul. my life-force. i have spent forever with him. being apart is the most unnatural feeling in the world.”

‘“when you string together curse words, i go deaf a little in my right ear,” connor tells him [ryke]. “what was that?”’
MY MAN MY MAN MY MAN MY MAN

“you listen,” she [rose] says mockingly. “what kind of guy are you?” “the rare kind.”
YES CONNOR YOU ARE THE RAREST AND MOST SPECIAL 🤌🤌🤌

“she is my past, my present, my future. so when i open the door and slide into the driver’s seat, i’m not surprised that it feels like ’m returning home.”
i love you lilo.

character ranking after the 3rd book:
1. Connor cobalt (aka my husband)
2. rose calloway (aka my wife)
3. daisy calloway (my relatable queen)
4. lily calloway
5. Loren hale

RE-READ via audio (2/26/2015)!
Putting voices to Lily and Lo brought a whole new experience to this book. Even though I've already read this book I never expected hearing it would make me LOVE IT even more.

Gah, the voices were spot on and made me feel like I know the characters even better. I gained an appreciation for Jonathan Hale while listening to Lo talk about him. The first time I read it I'm not sure if I fully grasped how much Jonathan loves his son. But this time around my heart squeezed as I listened to Jonathan's love for Lo, even though it was pretty corrupt.

Listening to Lily share her feelings made me tear up. The emotion in her voice pulled at my heartstrings. Listening to Lo's determination to be the guy Lily needs had me swooning for him.

If you've read this book then consider taking it to the next level and listen to it. And if haven't read it yet enhance your reading experience by listening to it. ADDICTED FOR NOW audio was EXCELLENT!

***5 Addicted Stars***
"Whatever happens,we're in this together. You and me. Lily and Lo."
She is my past, my present, my future.

All six characters are back and they are battling a big roadblock that revolves around Lily & Lo. Lily and Lo are reunited and are forced to face life without being addicted.

But a wrench is thrown into their plan when a person decides to out Lily's addiction to the world. The mystery around who this person is and the motivation for wanting to destroy this couple was very intriguing. I guessed all the way to the end who it might be and why they wanted to hurt this couple.

ADDICTED FOR NOW offers a dual pov. Being inside of Lo's head was fascinating because we got to hear his private conversations between him and his father AND we got to learn what was on the Lily's blacklist.

Book 1 Addicted to You I was unsure if I wanted to continue with the story.
Book 1.5 Ricochet I liked it and knew that I had to continue with the story.
Book 2 Addicted for Now I'm addicted. I'm so invested in these characters' lives.

Here is a timeline for all the books:

★★★★★ 5+ 'I'm addicted to this series' stars!

I absolutely love everything about this series. It's brutally honest, realistic, easy to read, funny, heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. Lo and Lily, the two main characters, are easily one of my favorite fictional couples ever. As we already knew from the previous two books in the series, they each have their own addiction. He's addicted to alcohol, she's addicted to sex. This time the story is told from alternating POV's and I loved the fact that we finally get Lo's side of the story as well.

****From here on out there might be SPOILERS for those who haven't read the previous books yet****

Most of their adult life they've been enabling each others addiction by covering up for the other one and by pretending that everything was fine all the while knowing that what they were doing was far from okay. Now, they've finally faced their problems. Lo is coming home from rehab and together they will try to stand their ground, to not let their addiction win and to built up a healthy, addiction-free and happy future.

"I'm sick too," he says, " and there will be times where we're weak. Where we beg for the things we can't have. But you can't be scared of that, Lil. You just have to believe that you'll be strong enough in the end. Even if the middle is all fucked up."

"He is my breath. My soul. My life-force. I have spent forever with him. Being apart is the most unnatural feeling in the world."

Being away from Lo has not been easy for Lily. She's been able to stay celibate during the three months he spent in rehab but now that they're moving in together, it's becoming harder and harder for her to avoid the temptations. They sleep in the same bed every night but unlike before, when they were still guided by their addictions, they can't have sex every night. Lily's new psychiatrist has given them a list of do's and don't and time limits they need to keep. All of this ways hard on both Lily and Lo. While she struggles with being denied sex, he struggles with having to tell her no all the time.

"Lily doens't do hugs. She fucks until she passes out. And I so badly want to fix her, but I can only help her. The real mending-that has to be her job, her fight, her battle. I can't win this one for her - just like she can't defeat my demons."

At the same time, Lo still struggles with his own demons. And on top of all that someone has started threatening him to expose Lily's secret to the whole wide world. If that were ever to happen, it would destroy not only her family's reputation, but the one thing she desperately counts on, her privacy. Therefore Lo has taken it upon himself to do whatever it takes to avoid her secret from coming out.

"I won't ever desert you, love. Not for a goddamn moment. You're mine to take care of, you understand?"

Throughout all of this Lily and Lo have the full support of Lily's sisters Rose and Daisy, Lo's half brother Ryke and Rose's boyfriend Connor. The four of them are some of the few people Lo and Lily can count on and together the six of them have become very close friends. I loved these side characters and their own interesting stories and personalities almost, but not quite, as much as the main couple itself and I'm already looking forward to their own spin-offs!

This is not your average NA romance series. This series tackles some very realistic and uncommon subjects and paints them in a very refreshing, interesting light. It's main focus is on two people who are each struggling to overcome their own personal addiction by being there for each other and helping the other one overcome their demons. It's a unique and powerful series and I was really happy with the way this second book ended (no cliffhanger). The third book can't be here fast enough though, I already want more Lo and Lily!! ;)

"There will always be an us."
"A Lo and Lily."

➳ 5 ☆

“i depend on him more than any girl should depend on a boy, but he’s been the backbone of my life. without him, i will fall.”

besties... i think i fucked up again, because i in-fact, found a new series that has become my obsession. i need to stop doing this for the sake of my mental health.

➺ lily calloway~ this entire plot/story revolves around her character. i do really like her, however, i think of the core six, i relate to her the least. i found her growth to be very realistic and salient, and i really love her relationship with connor and ryke. i know people find her annoying because of the whole "quirky" girl persona, but that didn't really disconcert me. she is a little self centered and that kind of annoys me. i hope she starts making better decisions moving forward.

➺ loren hale~ i really liked him?? i know, i am shocked too. i found him to be quite irksome in the initial books but his determination and loyalty got me. there isn't too much to say about him since a lot of this novel was about lily, and how he was there for her. he truly grew a backbone and developed brain cells in this. i fear i have to stan.

“i deserve every cold look, every biting comment. i deserve that fucking pain.”

“and there will be roadblocks and setbacks,” he tells me, “just because you hit one doesn’t mean you let me down. if anything, i’m proud of you for handling it like this.”

“i let out a long breath, bearing her pain that feels so much a part of me. we’ve become entangled, years and years of lies and childhood memories and stories all wrapped into one. i know her better than her sisters. i know her sometimes better than she does herself.”

“my twenty-two-year-old brother is flirting, apparently not deliberately—i’m not even sure how that fucking happens—with your sixteen-year-old sister.”

➺ rose calloway~ i called that she would be my favorite and i know i was right. she again, does not have much of a presence in these books just yet, but her book is next!!! you already know i am so ready for that.

➺ (richard) connor cobalt~ i think i like men who mind their own business and don't speak, because guess what? he's also my favorite. connor was the only person in this book whose deportment matched their age. i am so ready to get to know him better in "kiss the sky".

connor raises his hands. “i didn’t say a word.” her eyes soften at him. “you’re exempt.”

she possesses him, but he’s equally as possessive of her.

➺ daisy calloway~ well.... her character still made me excruciatingly uncomfortable. she shows up toward the halfway point and she pretty much leaves after a certain section of the book. however, when she did show up..... yikes. her sunshine persona is definitely a cover, and i am intrigued to see her real personality and struggles come through with her books.

“daisy had cash in her bikini top,” lo says. “ryke made some offhanded comment about it and it led to… other comments.”

➺ (jonathan) ryke *i am still scared of him* meadows~ i like that he is loyal and caring toward his friends/family, however, his relationship with daisy makes me so uneasy. very similar to daisy, i know the whole moody, broody, grumpy bullshit is a facade, so i am excited to see him develop and become his own character. this whole thing could've been avoided had they just made daisy eighteen or nineteen.... the comments were so odd, i am sorry. other than that, he is growing on me, and i feel like i could like his character more than loren (?).

opinions of the three core couples ↴

➼ lilo~ they are your typical best friends to lovers meets the fake dating trope. i really do love that their relationship is filled with mundane moments where it's just them going through their day to day lives. they both are also very protective of each other and ardent they are about the things they love and care about. sadly, i do think they rank at the bottom of the three couples.

➼ cobolloway~ i think i've made it clear that they both are my favorite. i just love rivals to lovers, especially with a "mean girl" and a quiet smart man obsessed simp. i am so ready for their book.

➼ raisy~ i don't hate them, but their dynamic makes me uncomfortable. i do like that they seem to understand each other and are the adrenaline junkies of the group. everyone says "hothouse flower" is the best book, and i am really looking forward to that. i hope they make no references to her younger days, and their book is finding home in each other since they tend to be the ones taking care of others. i also want this book to be filled with tension and angst. i think that could win me over since ryke seems possessive and overtop when it comes to daisy.

overall, this series has a VERY slow start which is why it took me years to get back into this world. i don't really know how i feel about ten books—especially having the last ones being so long—following six characters. i do really like the idea of a long series that is character driven, so i hope this doesn't start to lag in the latter half of the series.

after overcoming trials and tribulations of school
after withering a brewing storm of papers and assignments
after vanquishing the horrendous ordeal known as "midterms"

I FINALLY FINISHED THIS.

honestly this book feels more like a very very long prologue to Calloway Sisters series so i'm not complaining.

so this is the continuation of Lo and Lily's story when they reunite after 3 months of Lo being in rehab. there is a bit of drama here where someone is blackmailing Lily and threatening her that they'll out her as being a sex addict and then... that's it.

Lo & Lily
okay ya know what...? there IS character development/growth here and i really appreciate that. they were so toxic in the first book, always enabling each other, being selfish and unlikeable, not seeking help, etc. but these two characters are genuinely trying their best. Lo helping Lily with her sex addiction and how he's even scheduling their intimacy and supporting her? it was very sweet actually. im genuinely proud.

Daisy & Ryke
let's talk about these two for a sec because imma need to rant a little bit okay? okay.

FIRST OF ALL. these two had more drama (mainly OW drama) than the main leads. SECOND, i'm Melissa, the OW's name is Melissa... i- i don't want my name to be associated with an OW especially if that OW is with Ryke tf?? the one time i finally see my name in a book and im an OW?

description

no thanks. why can't i be a main character for once 😔

this drama really made the word "bathroom" a trigger word for me. i lost count after the 2nd time he and Melissa did stuff in the bathroom ew. and the fact that he was lowkey rubbing it on Daisy's face? and how it just went on and on and on, with details that i don't wanna read about?

"Ryke has Melissa pinned against the back of the seat. I can barely see her behind his broad shoulders. Sitting up, her legs wrap around his waist, and his body melds into hers. His hand disappears underneath her shirt, and his lips devour hers hungrily"

EW noooo.

ok i know this drama is not his fault (mostly) because Lo and Lily basically forced him to shove his OW shit to Daisy's face so she wouldn't get any ideas (she's underage and Ryke is 22 or something) even though all he wanted to do was ditch Melissa and hang with Daisy, so i'm also annoyed with them uggghhh. but this sucks for me because the next book i'm going to read is Kiss the Sky and then the book after that is Ryke and Daisy's... with this OW shit still fresh in my mind... obviously imma go in that book a little salty.

i just hope there's no scene like this in their book or im gonna be for real pissed because this drama genuinely annoyed me and i love Daisy and i don't want her to be hurt because it hurts ME and it's stressing me out.

Rose & Connor
still superior and unproblematic as always

* * *

let's be real here. the true villain in this book is their mother and society. slut-shaming Lily and attacking her and hating on her, because she's a sex addict? i wanna fight society in this book real bad like wtf is wrong with people??

and when we find out who the real blackmailer was? well, Lo and Ryke made me cry at the end. their development tho ugh i love it when guys cry and hug each other it's so wholesome.

so this review took me a long time to write because of exams and shi but i already finished Rose and Connor's book and y'all... CONNOR?! our asexual king CONNOR is like that?!??

My favorite parts in this were all of Rose/Connor’s and Ryke/Daisy’s parts!! I’m still not the biggest fan of Lilo and I still think that three books are a little too many for their story, but all the other characters parts made it more bearable. However, I must admit that Lily and Lo showed a slow but noticeable character growth and it kinda made me a little bit proud of them.

Could I grew to love them?? Maybe, I’m not really sure yet. For now I really need to jump into Rose’s book because those two are going to mess with my head so bad. I can feel it!!! The power couple vibes I’m getting from them is so strong. It’s killing me!! The whole trip made me so interested in Daisy and Ryke’s story as well! I’m so excited for the next two books. I’ve finally made it!

P.s: the ending made me wanna give Ryke a big hug!

I. LOVE. THIS. SERIES. (spoiler-free review)

Addictive, heartfelt, emotional, and sexy with great writing and a unique storyline that really stands apart in the New Adult romance genre. The intensity of Lily and Lo's love for each other just rolls off the page. I felt connected to every step of their journey. This kind of story is the reason I love to read.

I don't want to spoil the storyline from the previous books for you, so I'm not really going to talk much about the plot here. This book's story is a direct continuation of where the last book, Ricochet, left off but if you are new to the series, be sure to start with the first book, Addicted To You.

Just as a quick intro, this series follows Lily and Lo who each have an addiction -- she's addicted to sex, he's addicted to booze -- and in the previous books we saw them reach an ultimate low and take measures to start their journey towards healing. But curbing their addictions and staying sober has it's own challenges and when an outside threat enters their lives putting the secrecy of their addictions in jeopardy, they depend more than ever on their love for each other to get them through it.

"I'm here," he says, a silent tear dripping down his cheek. "We're going to beat this together."

I've mentioned this in my previous reviews but the thing that I love most about this series is that the focus is on Lily and Lo being able to be togetherWhile the outside forces are scary and the threat was very real, their love for each other was so intense, so passionate, and so all consuming that I could just always feel like they'd get through their hardships together and that they'd support each other every step of the way.

“Your addiction is much different, and there’s less support there... It’s just the way it is. I’m prepared for this. I won’t leave. I won’t ever fucking leave.”

See this is why I it feels it's like these books were written just for me because they gave me a couple who were truly, madly, deeply in love with each other and who didn't let stupid things come between them.

adored that, no matter how hard things got, breaking up was just never an option. Lily and Lo were just meant for each other and they were willing to work as hard as they had to to make that a healthy reality.

"She wants to be with me, but my mere presence tempts her. I don't ever want to believe that being alone, being apart, is the solution.

It's not.

She needs me as much as I need her. We just have to find our footing in this relationship. And that takes time."

But seeing how much they both struggled was just heartbreaking. What they were doing was not easy and the authors did an amazing job of portraying their addictions and struggles in a way that really made you feel how hard it was for them and which brought a grounding sense of reality to the story.

A wonderful new addition in this book was that we got alternating POV's and finally were able to get inside Loren Hale's head!! It was fun because it meant we also got to see his life apart from the scenes he had only with Lily and we got a more up close understanding of how his addiction affected his life. Also, because he was such an integral part of Lily's healing and since a large part of the burden of keeping control fell on him, seeing his thoughts during these times really rounded out the story. And, last but not least, through his thoughts, we really got to see first hand just how deep his love for Lily went.

"She holds tight around my neck, and I keep my arms underneath her legs, willing to carry her as far as she needs to go - just like when we were kids. Some things never change."

Something else that I've loved about this whole series is that there has been no unnecessary drama. Nothing has made me roll my eyes or lose respect for any of the characters. While there were certainly setbacks along the way, I really felt like it was kept very well balanced. Throughout this book every part of Lily and Lo's sobriety was put to the test but I loved that, even though their struggles tested their limits each day, their love for each gave them a motivation to keep fighting their addictions.

"I dream that one day, I can hold Lily in my arms without any other influence begging me to drop her. I want to be enough for her to beat this thing."

The writing was just fantastic!  The authors didn't just show me this story, they made me feel every word.

There is also a core group of characters surrounding Lily & Lo that have been there since book #1. We have Lily's sisters, Rose and Daisy, and also their men, Connor and Ryke. Together they formed this incredible support team of friends and family and I'm looking forward to seeing more of their stories in the future.

I loved how open everyone was with discussing even difficult subject matters. These guys all had each others' backs and it was so refreshing to just see people talk. The drama wasn't generated from secrets and lies, but rather just the struggles of every day life in their situation was enough to keep the plot moving forward at a steady pace. And Lily and Lo were both very upfront with their problems. They both wanted to get better and they needed each other's support to do so.

He brushes off an escaped tear with his thumb. "You're sick… I'm sick too," he says, "and there will be times where we're weak. Where we beg for the things we can't have. But you can't be scared of that, Lil… You just have to believe that you'll be strong enough in the end. Even if the middle is all fucked up."

My only one complaint is that I felt that there were some scenes here and there that were just a little too long but, since I read an early copy of the book, they may still be edited before release. Luckily though, I loved these characters enough that I was happy to read about them regardless and either way, I have serious love for these books and not a single other complaint. They are definitely going high on my favorites list and I'll be ready to devour the next book the moment it gets released.

By the end of this book, I really felt like a huge chapter in Lily and Lo's lives had been completed. There was no cliffhanger and the next 2 books to be released will be spin-off standalones, one for Rose & Connor and one for Daisy & Ryke, before we go on to the final 2 books which will again be about Lily and Lo.

Lily and Lo have come so far from where we first saw them in the beginning of the series. They've had their highs and lows but with the way things ended I felt like there was no unfinished business. I think it's impossible to read these books and not root for them. While their journey is far from over, I'm also happy to let things sit at this point knowing that they are in a good place.

“She doesn’t have to say, I love you because ... The sentiment is attached to each and every word. She loves me because she believes I’m strong. She loves me because she’s a part of me... there will always be an us.”

*happy sigh* I am addicted to this series!!

Highly recommended :)

This book suffers from some serious pacing issues and, like the other books about Lily and Lo, absolutely hitting the reader over the head with the characters addictions. Even though we've been with them for three books and WE KNOW. It was exhausting to read every chapter in Lily's perspective talking about something sexual THE ENTIRE TIME. This overdone way of writing their addictions makes it so that Lily and Lo don't have personalities to me. I feel like I don't know anything about them beyond their addictions and co-dependent relationship.

Also these books are long and can tend to drag until the later chapters when all of these over the top events start happening. So many things happen out of no where, which don't feel like twists and instead feel cheap and for shock value only.

I've been reading these books to get to later books in the series that focus on Lily's sisters and they are side characters in this book. The moments with the side characters really shine and I feel I know them better than Lily and Lo, and am so excited I can FINALLY get to their stories.

After all we've been through. Years and years of mistakes, it feels like a dream to be here in this moment. Right now. Sober. Alive. With her.

It always feels so nice when you're reading such a good great book. This sequel of the Addicted series is one of the most captivating installments I've read so far. Usually I end up feeling disappointed in a sequel, but this one was wonderfully written that it's so hard not to feel completely immersed in it.

Addicted for Now starts where Ricochet ended. This time, Lo comes back sober after three months of staying at the rehab to mend his alcohol addiction. Their reunion turn out sweet, but there is a strange person who bombards them with text messages, threatening them to expose Lily's secret as a sex addict to the public. Despite the strong dedication they have for each other, things just make everything tough for them... which leaves us wondering how these love birds' commitment for each other stand the test of time.

I absolutely don't have enough words to adequately describe how much this book gave me the depth of emotions after reading this. It's a perfect continuation of the series. I have no idea if this book will be the final book for Lily and Lo (I don't wanna know 'coz I want to be surprised) but I think the ending is already satisfying and I cannot ask for a better conclusion for their story.

Lily and Lo are such a perfect couple! I mean, where else can we find such dedicated characters? I admire their devotion to each other despite the difficult things that surround them including their family struggles. There was absolutely no cheating that happened in this book and in the previous books, to my relief-- which is another factor that makes everything really great. Another thing that I loved about this book is the character development of Lily and Lo-- the way they slowly conquered their addiction and beat it. I was awed.

The drama is also the book's absolute strength. I'm not even kidding when I say the last few chapters of the book made me cry. The conflict was perfectly executed that I literally burst into tears. Oh, Krista and Becca... the things you do to my heart!

Now I'm even more excited to find out Rose and Connor's story in the next book. Kiss the Sky, wait for me! :)

Okay- wow that was a fucking ride.

I'm just gonna tell you once again that how much I love Lilo so much. This book really restored the previous book in the series for being such a fucking tease of Lilo moments. I'm so glad to continue this one and found a lot of very endearing, sweet, and amazing moments of Lilo from this book. I really love how they evolve into a better characters and it jsut mesmerized the fuck out of me how they turned out in the end.

But I'm still going to fucking say this. This book really did bring me into a slmp read, why? Because I feel like a lot of stuffs in this book were a filler and none of it were relevant in Lilo's development, at least not directly which in my honest opinion it's all unnecessary. I don't like how KBR really mixed a lot of family dramas in this book, no, in fact I fucking hate it cause each time family drama and the other siblings' drama came in I was always screaming why the fuck am I reading about someone's else shits in this book? And few weeks ago I found out why did I feel like this on a stumble. It's because Coballoway and Raisy has their own fucking books. Why would the author put their dramas in Lilo's books? It just doesn't fucking make sense to me cause they weren't supposed to mesh both 3 of the couples into one so much that I was confused what the fuck is this book about- and honestly? It pissed the hell out of me. I'm here for lilo and if I want to read about Coballoway and Raisy, I would read their books later. I think the author needs to know this.

Not the mention this was from Lilo's pov and each time they were witnessing Coballoway's or Raisy's drama, the other would be silent (too silent even) that sometimes I forgot there were everybody in this room and not jsut the two of them. I would blame this to the writing. I'm not sure why but I felt like the writing this time felt worse than the previous book. Not to mention that I found some monologs were blabbering nonsense and also how the authors couldn't do a smoother transition between one topic into the others. It was fuckig weird.

There are a lot of things in this book that pissed the shit out of me and I think if I try to mentioned it, it'll end up with my mouth hurting in the end (or in this case is my fingers). So yeah, I'm not going to mention it one by one but the main conflicts aside from Lily is trying to get better from her addiction was so fuckig ridiculous. The whole leaking the addiction to the press, the whole leaking was happening in the national news, the whole it took them months to find out who's threatening them (when they're so rich that they could afford the best investigator but they still did shitty job on it), the whole debacle between Lily and her parents and how the fuck they should "talk" with her through fucking lawyers, how basically it all comes down to Greg and Samantha are a fucking failure in parenting for Lily!!! Fuck- okay I'm sorry I know I said that I won't mention it one by one but istg I couldn't hold it anymore 🤧

Th only thing that carry this whole book is Lilo and Lilo only. That's it. And that fucking ending because fuck I need their moments without outside interruptions from everyone fussing about them with their addiction. It was killing me inside tbfh.

This would've been an enjoyable experience if this book isn't heavily mixed with other dramas outside Lilo because ffs it's their book. Let it be their books. Let it tells about them and them only. I don't need a fucking filler I just want them. Fuck.

Yeah, this book is too fucking long.

3 stars. I was about to give this 1 star with all these fucking rants that I spit, but like I said Lilo carried this whole shit show and they deserve more 😤 so 3 stars.

ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

WELP- this was hardly a buddy read imho, considering how it got me into slump and how I went on several hiatus in the middle and how other books keep distracting me to read this. But it has been fun in the beginning 🫶🏻🫶🏻 would love to do another br with you guys!💖💖

ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO MEET MY BABIES, LILO. BECAUSE I FUCKING MISS THEM AND THEIR MOMENT SO MUCH AND THE LAST BOOK WAS SUCH A FUCKING TEASE.
also I'm gonna do it with my lovely friends, Lilyya, Milo, and Aliki
