Fantasy author with an M.A. in Folklore, who loves to take pictures, eat french fries, and live my life as an all-around creative forest nymph! I'm so excited to bring you with me on my journey as I step out of our everyday lives and into the new fantasy world within The Night and Its Moon fantasy series!
I wrote these books for an audience of one, and that audience was me. I wanted to see bi representation, love, mental health struggles, religious trauma, and overcoming the of obstacles that I needed to be modeled in my own life. At the end of the day I'm so proud of myself for creating the series that I'd always hoped I could read, and I hope someone is able to connect with them in a way that I have.
Listen. I've been mad at a book for ending before. But never have I been so angry that I've screamed and chucked my kindle across the room. I am LIVID this book dared to end. I need more and I need it right now. This book had a stranglehold on me from start to finish and I will never forgive Piper for ripping my heart out. That's not true. I willingly gave it to her. She can have my soul too if it means we get the next book SOON.
i have so many feelings.. wow. everybody except Silas pisses me off!!
i really dislike Cal. he just pops in and out of her life whether it’s a good or bad moment with no intention of staying around. it’s almost like he knows that she’ll have more lives and, to him, they have all the time in the world. but Marlow only knows her current life! she actually doesnt have forever with Cal in her future! her values, wants, needs, etc. in this current life should have way more weight in Cal’s mind than they do.
ive said it before and i’ll say it again — Marlow has every right to be upset and distrustful of those around her. every being and pantheon has set her up to fail through their manipulation, expectations, lies of omission, and disregard of her personhood. she is literally doing the best she can with the information (and lack of information) that people have set her up with. and when she dares to feel an emotion or ask a question, they treat her like she’s dumb or shame her for straying from their agenda.
i really hope there’s a reckoning in store for book 4 and that this book’s ending doesn’t lead to Marlow letting her valid concerns/resentment go and forgiving everyone just because she doesn’t want to lose them. her speech to Apep was incredibly beautiful and i hope her character grows in that direction! —> “I’ve been caught in the trap of their expectations for two thousand years… I don’t trust their guidance anymore. I’ll do it myself.”
Typing this with chills & through tears… I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of “The Serpent & The Siren, and I absolutely devoured it. It felt so emotional, urgent, and deeply satisfying to be back in the realm of No Other Gods. I already can’t wait for book four.
I’ve loved every book in this series, but holy fuck woman this one ripped my heart out just for fun. I love how human Marlow is. She’s playing a game with gods and it shows, she has no fucking idea what she’s doing. It makes her relatable, I love the mess ups and the tantrums (please, my new favourite quote from a book “don’t touch my tacos” I was dying). She’s not some super gifted main character who has no flaws and figures everything out super fast. She’s flawed, kind of dumb (it’s why we love her) and she makes mistake after mistake. But it only makes her angrier and I cannot wait to see the culmination of it all in the final book. Piper you have broken my heart again, please stitch it back together in book 4
4.5 ⭐ for me! I loved seeing Marlow grow and develop (and fumble bc she's human). The ending has me hopeful but also sad we need to wait for the next book 😭 I really love how Piper jumps back to the past and you're kind of like ok where's this going? and then the present hits and you're like OH but also you get to understand Marlow's origin even more. I'm so grateful I was able to get an ARC of this and can't wait for the next book 🫶
✨ARC✨ This is Book 3 in the No Other Gods Series This was such a good read! You will be hooked from the start and not be able to put it down! Marlow went from learning the truth and believing to saving the ones she loves & cares about. Now she must save everyone. Friends become enemies and enemies become friends. Marlow declares herself an enemy of the heavens and now has to gather allies not only in her realm but across all realms and pantheons. This book is action packed with so many twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat. I can’t recommend this book and series enough! It’s so addicting! This book is set to release February 2026! The previous books in this series is: The Deer and The Dragon & The Fox and The Falcon
So much happens in this book! Piper CJ had me hooked from the beginning. I devoured this book in a day. The Serpent and the Siren made me feel a whole gamut of emotions. As always, Piper knows how to perfectly balance, tension, humor, devasting sadness, and spice. Piper CJ introduces new characters in The Serpent and the Siren that I adored. I need a separate novella for each of these characters. At the same time, she continues to build on the characters I already loved (or loved to hate xD). I love the world CJ had created. I want a TTRPG campaign set in the world so I can play a character in it. She has continued to expand the pantheon in a way that doesn't allow the story to get bogged down in exposition. The prose, foreshadowing, and metaphor always goes so deep and makes this series perfect for rereading. The end left me distraught (in the best way) that I have to wait a year for book 4.
This series remains top-tier for me, but the third book was a head scratcher. The shift in character dynamics and tropes didn't resonate with me. While I understand Marlow's feelings of betrayal due to the main crew withholding information, her reaction felt out of character. In the first two books, she was portrayed as a strong woman who defied adversity and societal expectations. Her dramatic rejection of Fauna seemed immature, especially since even Silas acknowledged that she overreacted. Silas, who revealed crucial information, did so in a way that felt more vengeful than helpful, particularly since Marlow had just instigated a war, fully aware of the implications if she asked it of Caliban, knowing he would do anything for her. Her tantrum seemed misplaced, especially when there were far more significant issues at stake than her role as a sex worker. It was surprising to see her upset about that, given her advocacy for her profession. Ultimately, I found myself sympathizing with G-Ma, as Marlow's behavior came across as entitled and spoiled.
I was completely thrilled by Nira and Kirby's involvement in the story. Their "awakening" had me in stitches, especially the idea of an angel appearing in the back seat during a traffic jam on the freeway. The sheer volume of alcohol they downed to survive their "catch up" session sounded like the perfect girls' night out that I wished I could join. Additionally, the playful, frat-like rivalry between Az and Silas was pure gold. And then there's Caliban—oh my heart! Caliban, GAH, my soul. My first true "in every lifetime" man. While Marlow is separated from him on a mission with the Sirens and Medusa he consistently reassures her that he is 'moving heaven and hell' literally and is always validating his love and devotion to her. Not that we needed that.
The comments about his sporadic appearances baffle me; clearly, we’re not reading the same story. He consistently offers her a choice in every cycle, and when she declines or forgets, he remains steadfast, watching over her through every lifetime. His devotion is unwavering—she is his sole focus, and everyone around him recognizes her significance. Meanwhile, her actions leave me in disbelief. The betrayal was so intense that I found myself screaming in frustration. WHAT IN THE SHAKEN GLITTER SNOWGLOBE IS SHE DOING. Once she made her choice in this lifetime, that should have sealed their fate. Instead, it felt like I was on a roller coaster with my safety harness unbuckled, plummeting to my death Final Destination style. The emotional toll of this shift is crushing, especially when she hesitates to even apologize. And then, summoning you know who back without certainty of their side and loyalty is unfathomable. I’m at a loss for how to forgive her; she feels like the antagonist in this narrative, and I struggle to see how she could ever be worthy of an "in every lifetime" man again.
The end was perfection though. That coffee order has me counting down the days because just like Caliban, Az deserves a happy ending too.
This series!! Every time I revisit this series, I am reminded how cool, unique, forward thinking, and enthralling this series is! I had the pleasure of receiving an ALC for this third book, The Serpent and the Siren, and I am not ok…. in such a good way.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I am honestly so impressed by this series, and this book is the best one yet IMO. The build-up with each step closer to the apocalypse is perfection, and Piper CJ walks the line perfectly showcasing a mixture of order and chaos. This book is so wild and unpredictable, and every choice and event somehow makes perfect sense. I literally was stuck, unmoving while listening to this audiobook, and was unable to do anything but fall headfirst into this absolutely enthralling story.
This review could easily turn into a full thesis, because I think so many incredibly smart and well thought out choices were made, especially the small details that bring the characters and their motives to life. To keep it brief, Marlow while incredibly strong, is such a relatable and flawed FMC; steeped in such deep religious trauma and abuse, I love that this book explores the depth of her mistakes and their repercussions. The difference from most books having semi-infallible or always forgiven MCs adds so much depth, and is yet another portion of this story turning everything expected, upside down.
A few quick notes; 1. I adore Azrames and Caliban so deeply…. They are perfection. And honestly, Silas has earned a special place in my heart. We love wholesome and strong men who respect and protect women.
2. This series has so many fantastic themes and points of representation seamlessly woven throughout. To name a few… respect for sex workers, representation & respect for queer individuals and gender fluidity, religious trauma & abuse, love and the uniqueness of relationships, and the importance of fighting against oppression and tyranny.
3. This series is phenomenally feminist work. And by the dictionary definition of feminism, I love that women are protected and revered, but also given opportunities to hold any position, and can be punished and treated equally severely for any crime, as their male counterparts. The writing is so successfully supporting, uplifting, and poignant toward the experiences of women.
4. The use of mythology and religion, in such a broadly inclusive way, is so unique and interesting. I’ve felt this way after reading each book, but it’s such a different take on mythology than I’ve ever read before, and I love it!
I must take a moment of total appreciation for Luna Rey and the audiobook edition. This series is a major undertaking, and Luna brings so much skill into her performance, bringing these books to life. The Serpent and the Siren is just as high quality and clear as the others, with Luna masterfully portraying so many characters, with a variety of accents, speaking styles, depth of emotion, and tone, all with incredible clarity that can be understood at any speed. I usually prefer duet or cast narration, but this audiobook is perfection with Luna’s narration.
This series is just so good, and I am both so upset to wait but so excited to see what the fourth book will bring. Definitely check your triggers with this series, but man oh man is it a wild and fun time. I highly recommend it!
Thank you to Piper CJ and Tantor Media for the NetGalley ALC. This is my honest review shared voluntarily.
The Serpent and the Siren by Piper C.J. No Other Gods 3 | Dark Romantasy
✨ A volatile, emotionally charged continuation where gods, demons, love, and rage collide & Marlow refuses to go quietly.
Marlow barely has time to process Caliban’s betrayal before declaring war on the heavens themselves. With the gods watching and the world inching toward collapse, she’s forced into an uneasy journey through rival pantheons in search of allies. Old enemies resurface. New gods make their presence known. And the line between devotion and destruction grows thinner with every step.
This installment expands the world dramatically without losing its grip on character. Piper C.J. continues to write heroines who are not invincible, not untouched, and not polished. Marlow reacts to divine pressure the way many would...messily, stubbornly, and with a steady descent into chaos that feels painfully human.
What I Loved: 🐍 A rapid, relentless pace that never lets the tension drop 🔥 Marlow as a deeply flawed, emotionally reactive FMC 🍷 A heroine allowed to spiral without losing her agency ⚔️ Expanding pantheons written with humor, depth, and research 🧠 Morally grey gods who feel dangerous and charismatic 💔 Emotional fallout from betrayal that actually lingers 💘 Romance built on tension, devotion, and damage 🌀 New characters who immediately feel essential to the story
Tropes & Elements: 🐍 Gods and Demons 💔 Broken Heroine 💘 Fated Soulmates ⚖️ Morally Grey Everything 🔥 Dark Romance 🧠 Emotional Warfare ⚔️ War Against the Heavens
Vibe: chaotic, emotional, sharp edged romantasy Spice: high with strong emotional undercurrent For fans of: flawed FMCs, mythological chaos, dark romance with teeth, and series that escalate without losing their heart
💜 The Serpent and the Siren is the kind of book that leaves you rattled and not because it’s cruel, but because it commits fully to its characters and consequences. This series continues to level up, and that ending makes waiting for book four feel personal.
4⭐️ (but rounded up a bit because I went in blind and I know the next installment will be killer)
Piper C.J. has created a beautifully cinematic world that beautifully integrates religion and mythology to allow the interaction and modern depiction of deities from different cultures. They are also able to weave heavy themes of religious trauma, history in prostitution, mental health, and LGBTQ+ representation in relevant and moving ways. I loved how the characters navigated very human complexes like imposter syndrome, anxiety, and depression within a high-fantasy setting - it felt incredibly grounded despite the magic. That being said, this installment definitely suffered from "middle book syndrome"; it felt like a filler episode heavy on side quests with very little actual conflict resolution, leading to a sudden cliffhanger that sets up the fourth book rather than resolving this one.
Because I read this third installment before the first two, I was admittedly confused by the dynamics between some characters, but the writing was so compelling and atmospheric that I immediately added the paperback copies of the backlist to my Amazon cart the second I finished. The only thing that truly took me out of the experience was the audiobook narration for Az; while the production value was high, the voice change for that character was so cringeworthy I found it hard to take those scenes seriously. Ultimately, this book leaves you with that specific "end of Onyx Storm" feeling—where you simultaneously want to scream, light the book on fire, and admit yourself to a padded room to ride out the wait for the next release. I will be buying this as soon as hard copies are released and will be keeping my eyes peeled for the 4th installment… maybe even a series based on Marlow’s aforementioned books???
🐍 LGBTQ+ & Mental Health Representation 🐍 Christian, Nordic, Egyptian, Greek, and Indian (+ more) deity representation 🐍 Unique storyline and magic 🐍 “She who can move heaven, earth, and hell”
Huge thanks to Netgalley, RBmedia, and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review (and for introducing me to a new, fantastic series)!!!
The No Other Gods Series is hands down my favorite series I have ever read, and I am in awe of the research and vulnerability that Piper CJ puts into her books. I am 100% not ok with the ending, and I don’t know how I will function until the next book. I actually finished the book in one day yesterday, but I could not form words to write the review. I listened to the audiobook, and Luna Rey does a fabulous job with this series. I also followed along with the ebook so I could highlight most of the book. I did get lost a few times just listening. Paperback? I have them. Those are my shelf trophies.
This book is once again rich with mythology that makes me excited to go and research more about the pantheons mentioned. Marlow is full on ready for the apocalypse, at least most moments she is. I have held a grudge against the angel, but things definitely melted my icy heart toward Silas. Mostly. Caliban and Az, I still love them so much. The new characters you will meet, I ADORE (ok maybe not one of them)! Women’s rights and rethinking how a certain character is depicted in history was something to think about. As someone that grew up in the church, Piper really hits the emotions that you still can go through even after so many years. The spice in the book is HOT!!!! Also, as always, I love seeing the LGBTQIA+ representation and also reminding us that SW is not taboo.
I want to add to many quotes, but they would all potentially be spoilers, so I will need to comb back through with a re-read to see if I can find some that do not give away too much. I would give this book a million stars if I could. Yes, this review is all over the place. I told you I was not ok at the end of the book. Go grab your copy today. I’ll wait. We can discuss together in messages on IG.
I am thrilled with this installment. This series has become one of my main source of enjoyments in these uncertain days. As a person who struggles with childhood/religious trauma, I feel seen and heard. The light that Piper shines on these issues makes my heart happy. If even one person reads this and can understand how religion is used as a source of manipulation then maybe they can understand why so many stray from it. I won't hold my breath though. I have fallen in love with these characters. Piper writes a beautiful crescendo of emotional turmoil. A delectable mess of affection, love, heartbreak, betrayals, forgiveness, hatred, and angst. And you will feel ALL of it. You can tell that certain topics within these books have had a big impact on Piper herself and it feels raw, unfiltered, and genuine. Making me have such a profound respect for the author and her life experiences. This series has a huge variety of characters in differing pantheons, and the way Piper blends these interactions is ingenious. I do not want to summarize the book and give away the plot but I will say that there are huge unveilings that will change the world as they know it, a major turning point in this series. As well as a very unexpected companionship and some shocking ends. The ending has me itching for the next book! I can't wait to read more!
Piper CJ does not pull punches in this third installment of the No Other Gods series. The stakes escalate brutally, collapsing relationships and leaving Marlow to carry the fallout of choices she can’t undo. This book is filled with raw, gut-wrenching chaos, where consequences linger and emotional damage is impossible to ignore.
The pacing layers so much into every page that it feels like years have passed while simultaneously keeping readers on the edge of their seat. This propulsion toward the inevitable perfectly captures the intensity of a pantheon-driven world where time, memory, and power operate differently (pantheon time, baby!). Themes of fate versus agency, the danger of buried truths, and the weight of origins are threaded through every chapter. Darker, sharper, and more emotionally intense than what came before, this installment showcases Piper CJ at her strongest and left me eager, and a little wrecked, for what comes next.
For anyone considering the No Other Gods series, it has been captivating from the start, and I continue to refer anyone who will listen.
Huge thanks to Bloom Books, and of course the queen herself, Piper CJ, for the opportunity to read and review this ARC!
A huge thank you is owed to Bloom Books and of course Piper for sending Book three in the No Other Gods series my way.
The stakes were already incredibly high coming into this one and now things are reaching a turning point. The pantheons are expanding and we get more and more gods involved in the end of times. As like the two previous books Piper is insanely detailed on her research and how she includes gods and goddesses is so well done. These books are worth reading just for that element alone.
Book three takes place mostly in the human realm and we got so much more of Silas in this book (yay!). We also got more heartbreak and emotions from Marlow. I really like how Piper has written her to be human, because she is. Sure she can see beyond the veil, but when things go wrong she reacts like any one would. Taking time to show actual reactions is a thing lost in so many fictional FMCs. I swear so many of them act indestructible. To add the the human element I loved that we got more of Marlow's human friends and some new ones too!
I'm curious what will be next as the way things ended really have me curious if the love triangle will stay a triangle. After this book... I might just be a Silas girl...
Okay, I am just a fan of Piper's writing at this point. If she wrote a manual for a kitchen stove I would read it. That being said, this book was so beautiful. Piper doesn't write all powerful FMCs but women who are dealing with the woes of existence plus some preternatural pressures. Marlow is my favorite of Piper's FMCs so far (please don't tell Nyx) because Marlow is just herself no matter what. She is facing pantheons of angry deities and reacts in a reasonable manner; alcohol and slowly spiraling. If you want chaos, some really well researched but humorously written deities, and a main character who has just as many concerns about the way things are going as the reader (arguably more). If you haven't read the first two books in this series, go do that first you slacker or else the emotional, snarky, whirlwind of a third book will not hit right. But, it is a whirlwind, and it is just as good (me and others argue better) book as the first two. And if you get to the ending and need someone to scream about it with, feel free to reach out. I have way too many thoughts and will not hold back!
This truly might be one of my favorite series I’ve ever read.
I am so deeply attached to the characters in this book series. It’s not even funny. Like, not only do I feel personally attacked anytime any of them do something dumb, which they do often, my heart hurts so much anytime anything remotely bad happens to any of them, which is basically the whole book.
I truly think Piper has every intention of seeing how much she can hurt me, because this book hurt me, but it also healed me, and excited me, and gave me everything I wanted.
I love the way this book plays with the pantheons, turns the world as we know it on its head, and looks damn good doing it.
Maybe it’s just because I was a religious studies nerd in college, but I will never cease to find the way this story explores all the different pantheons deeply intriguing.
This book is so fun and I’m so mad. The end of the book. I’m just angry and hurt and scared and excited all at once. As I should be at the end of any good book.
Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC of this audiobook.
I am writing this with chills and a mild emotional hangover. I have been frustrated by book endings before, but this one had me staring at the wall like excuse me… that is how you are going to leave me? I needed more immediately.
From the first chapter it had a complete hold on me. The tension felt urgent and heavy in the best way. Every interaction carried weight and every emotional beat landed. I devoured this audiobook. The narration amplified everything, especially the quieter, more vulnerable moments. You could feel the ache, the anger, the longing.
There are characters who will absolutely test your patience. Some had me fully irritated, others had me fiercely protective. And that emotional chaos is part of what made it so addictive. The stakes feel personal. The relationships are messy, complicated, and charged with that kind of intensity that makes you forget the outside world exists.
This story is emotional, dramatic, and deeply satisfying while somehow still leaving you desperate for the next installment.
The Serpent and the Siren is the third book in the No Other Gods series. Marlow is still realling from the fact that she , a whore will birh the Anti-Christ and that now she is being hunted by Heaven and its angels. Marlow is now gathering allies from other relems to help her bring down Heaven once and for all. Caliban is always on Marlow's side and he is heartbroken that Marlow trusts Silas more then he should be. When Marlow is transported back "home" after revealing the fallen angel Silas and a demon Ramis for the whole world to see, she didn't realize that she would be transproted back to her Mother's house. Like with the other two books in this series this one leaves off with yet another cliffhanger so we will just have to wait until book four to see who won the battle. I would like to thank both NetGalley and Tantor Media for letting me listen to an advance copy of this audiobook.
I was lucky enough to recieve the audio ARC of this book, thanks Tantor Media, Netgally & Piper!
Looooved our Narrator, Luna Rey. The consistency across the series is obviously very welcome, but Luna has a voice that is incredibly easy to listen to - even at a higher speed. And her effort on pronunciation is noteworthy.
I did find some of the scene changes between chapters quite abrupt, though.
While I loved this third installment to the series, I did struggle to see the relevance to some of the memories we were gifted this time around - and how easily our FMCs priorities switched up was jarring at times. I also found myself disliking Caliban - which was super unexpected!
That said, this was fast paced, punchy, and thoroughly enjoyable all the same! I am a sucker for books where different belief systems collide, and this was just that!
Now if you'll excuse me, I require at least 12 business months to recover from that ending. Can we please have book 4 now? 😀
Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC of this audiobook.

I genuinely need time to process because I am in shock.
The premise of this series is what hooked me.. the layered theology, Heaven vs. Hell, pantheons colliding. But what made it for me was the “every lifetime” devotion. The unwavering, cosmic, across-millennia loyalty. That was the emotional backbone.
And whatever just happened with the angel? It completely obliterated that premise.
You’re telling me the one person who has followed you faithfully for thousands of years, who has given you choice, space, freedom, every single lifetime… gets betrayed like that? For what??
And then FAUNA!!!! I cannot imagine Az’s grief.. But I’m confused?? Like her coffee order? Dumbass?!
I wanted to love this so badly. I expected to love it. And instead I’m sitting here upset and confused.
Three stars because I’m still invested in the world… but emotionally? I’m spiraling.
For all you saying you love complex FMC you better love Marlow as much as I do. Girly has ISSUES but she's working through them honestly better than I would. Marlow and crew are in the thick of overthrowing heaven and we meet some badass female entities that help her along the way. I feel like Marlow is truly tested in this book and needs to make a few very uncomfortable decisions and put her big girl pants on for once. The last 100 pages really sold me on rating this 5 stars because it was PACKED. And the 5 stages of grief I went through to only be utterly befuddled by the last two pages while my tears were still drying is insane work by Piper. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment. I loved The Fox and the Falcon but this one might push it out for my favorite of the series so far.
Thank you Piper and Bloom for letting me read this early
This was chaos as expected. I desperately wish the author would add a recap at the beginning of each book because there is sooo much info you need to retain from the previous books and it’s almost impossible to follow along without reading them perfectly sequentially or without a re-read.
Aside from that, I enjoyed this book. Mar is still working to be the harbringer of the end, but alliances are questioned and her own trauma may sever the connections she needs to her nearest and dearest. Her history and its effect on her current situation is quite blatant in a way that makes her real.
The book ends with a cliffhanger after some major strife and I’m interested to see where book 4 takes us
I loved this so much and was lucky enough to receive a physical ARC from Bloom.
Marlow is figuring out how to deal after being lied to by one close to her as she navigates the end of times. New and old enemies collide as she is now the biggest enemy to heaven itself, but it's all in a day's work as an antichrist. She must now deal with conflicting feelings of both love and hate for all involved. Once again Piper does an amazing job at painting a real badass of a character who takes no shit. I love her writing also as a fellow autistic because her writing style and thinking are similar to mine. I can't wait for the fourth one!!
This book was such a wonderful mishmash of theological principles. I loved the way Marlow navigated the world of the Antichrist with help from every pantheon while still being anchored (mostly) in the real world. The characters have to deal with trust, family, relationships, and all of the things that plague humanity but also make it worth while and everyone fails at something at some point which makes these characters relatable. Overall, this was just really enjoyable because it challenged so many stereotypes and expectations. The narrator did a wonderful job with the story and voice acting.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity of receiving the audio arc version in return for an honest review! I really enjoy fantasy and romance together so this book was literally perfect. it is a 3rd installment in the series so to be honest I think I may go back and read the first 2 in the series. Piper did SOOOOO amazing showing Marlow's true self as a mortal and with her truly not knowing wtf is going on at all RELATABLE!. The ending leaves you needing more that was the perfect ending I was waiting for the next chapter but then heard the audio end and was immediately sad.
This third book from the No Other Gods was exactly what I was hoping it would be and So So much more. Exceeded all of my expectations, left me screaming, crying, LAUGHING OUT LOUD ALL THE TIME, and at a certain spicy scene i literally had my jaw dropped mouth gaping in shock. I was not surprised by the ending, because Marlow is the most relatable character i’ve ever read. Frustratingly so even. She makes mistakes, and that’s kind of the whole point. There are consequences to every decision, even if it really felt like the right thing. Seriously such a real, raw, genuine, emotional story.
Wow! This series just keeps getting better and better. I was lucky enough to receive this book in audio from netgalley. The narrator did not disappoint!! It is sometimes hard to listen to different POVs without having dual narration, but the narrator did an amazing job.
The author made the FMC a real flawed person. This book brought out some many emotions throughout her campaign against the gods.
The way this book ended!! I was in tears. Definitely will be waiting for the next one to come out!!
