I received this book for Christmas. It is a compilation of brief bios of many people who had a big impact on Colorado history. This isn't exactly a page-turner because it's so diverse. However, I learned many interesting things about people whose names we see every day, whether their names live on in memory alone or linked to the buildings and institutions who bear their names. This book is a keeper as a good resource and I will add it to my other Colorado history and characters books.

I picked this up at the library on a whim and really enjoyed it. Lots of quick stories about names and places you've heard of.
