Charlotte Summers is the last virgin in her school; a school where taking virginity is a sport. The sport has five main contenders: Tyler Bradshaw, the mysterious bad boy; Alec Jennings, the all-star athlete; Ian Jameson, the cocky rich guy; Beckett Cartwright, the renowned genius; and Lucas Chandler, her best friend. With all these guys determined to win the title of the Virginator, will Charlotte make it out alive with her virginity?
So my 13yr old niece is reading this book and she begged me to read it also. I don't think she realizes I am a million years older than her.
The main character Charlotte is the last virgin in her school. Now hold up..... What kind of school is this??? Okay back to the book. In this school taking a girls virginity is a sport. Again.... What kind of school is this??? Anywho we have 5 main contenders .... Do we really care who they r.. Not really. Ughhhhhhh So these 5 guys compete for Charlottes virginity. Who's gonna win? Ughhhhh WTFFFF?!!! I don't know if I am just to old to read books like this but I was highly annoyed and now it's my mission to buy some "good" books for my niece. This was free on Wattpad. Thank god I didn't pay for it.
The story's idea is dragged on for way too long, moving from one guy to another. The main character acts rather slutty all throughout, going on dates with five different guys at once but for some reason it's totally okay. I'm struggling to even finish this lol, I can only manage a couple pages before I go read something better. I would give this a one and a half if I could.
This book had some flaws and slut-shaming, however I could relate to the main characters feelings of hopelessness. I was not expecting the ending and am still shocked and reeling. I have to go now and have a crying session for poor Luke....... BTW on wattpad....
I'm pretty ashamed that I read this. Though it was an interesting read, this whole book makes a game of a person's virginity while also over-romanticizing it sometimes. Why can't a person's virginity just be virginity? It can be a big deal to one person, and not mean anything to the next. But to over-generalize virginity to the point where it's a game to be played by guys at a high school can be insensitive and not believable. Plus, this book also enforces plenty of stereotypes. There's literally the rich kid, the all star, the boy next door, the bad boy, etc. Though sometimes the author made sure to show that these boys weren't just their stereotypes, she didn't' do it well enough. I remembered a time while reading this that was along the lines of "I forgot that boys had feelings. I just assumed they were sex-crazed maniacs". Like, what??
Another problem I had with this book was Charlotte's reaction when she found out someone was a dad. Charlotte had a budding relationship with this guy, and she just walks out. Instead of being a good friend, or heck, a good person, she just walked away without the consideration of another person's feelings.
There's tons of other problems I had with this book, but I don't want to rant. I'm still giving this two stars just because it was entertaining. But just because it was entertaining, doesn't mean it is good or that it has good messages.
Overall, this book was really problematic. I was entertained while reading it, but I made sure to not analyze it so much that I wouldn't enjoy it. So even though I had fun, I can't recommend this book. We should be ending stereotypes and enforcing gender roles, not perpetuating them.
Asdfghjkl. What the hell?! I have tortured my eyes by keep reading it since morning just to reach a very childish crap narration with selfish mind and bitchiness. Unbelievable! This Charlie, this main chick, is the last virgin standing. Took the girls virginity is such a sport in this school *gasp* that every boy likes to took the girls virginity as many as possible to win the tittle Virginator *puke*. What the hell right? Well i was telling myself that i will be open my minded and not be so old fashioned. Its just a fiction anyway. Whats the deal?
That plot is not the one who irritates me. The boys are not the one who irritate me either.
This fucking main character does.Charlie is a very stubborn, childish, annoying main character i have ever read in my whole life. Sure i hate Nora in Hush Hush Saga. But its all because she is a hypocrate. This Charlie is not only a hypocrate but also a Fucking BITCH who only cares about herself. Not to mention, she is also so fucking stupid. Its like, some ghosts have stolen her brain. She becomes totally idiot. She seems cant decide what she wants. She dates 5 guys and all like "its okay. Its not like its illegal. Iam just being nice!"
what the fuck?! She is a player. She likes play with others feelings but she hates it and ditch them when its their turned to play with her heart. Not to mention, she is lack in making choices.
Poor Luke, who is in love with her for his entire life. I pity him because he is so blind and also idiot to fall for a slut like Charlie. As if there is none sane chicks out there.
And for Tyler? Man. i liked you at first but your broken character was kinda missing in the middle. Its like you are not Tyler i used to like anymore.
and for another three boys? i really dont give a shit.
WARNING. SPOILERS AHEAD. READ AT OWN RISK. Oh. My. Gosh. I don't think love is a strong enough word to describe how I felt about this book. It was an insane read! When a friend first recommended it to me, I was a bit concerned that the concept of the book would kill the read, but boy was I wrong! Five boys all dying to get poor Charlie's attention and virginity only to uphold themselves as 'The Virgininator' is pure genius! Alec was such a sweetheart, he was my favourite player out of the four (not including Luke), but it's a shame he had Maddy. I mean, it added well to the story, but I would've loved it if she ended up with him and NOT Tyler. Tyler killed me. He was so antisocial and rude and blunt that I wanted to threw my phone at the wall (and believe me, this story makes you want to do just that!). I can't believe Charlotte chose Tyler over Luke, like seriously! Oh, and don't even get me started on Luke! He was my favourite character in the whole thing from the word go (except when he was snogging Laurel)! He was so sweet and considerate and everything a girl could want. But no. All Charlie wanted to do was to keep getting mad at him and not forgiving him. Heck, he even told her he loved her after I don't know how many years she's been wanting to tell him the same thing, and what does she do? Get angry with him, forgive him, find out what happened between him and Emma, get mad again, forgive him, be his girlfriend for two days I think, basically dump him on Valentine's Day, and hit him with Tyler's car, which ends up getting him killed!!!! Ugh. Still love this book though. Best Wattpad book I've ever read. -A PS: I would've given the book 5 stars is Luke lived and ended up with Charlotte, just saying.

This book was an AMAZING book. I loved it! But I was pretty disappointed with the ending. The author could have done a better job ending it and making a decision. I will not release any spoilers, but I personally think the author couldn't pick, so she made this poor decision. I do,however, still recommend it to readers who love romance. The Last Virgin Standing is about a girl named Charlotte Summers, who just so happens to be the last virgin at her school. And at her school, virginity is all just a game to the guys. Whoever sleeps with the most gitls, wins. Charlotte is the tie-breaker, and so therefore, the results of the game, lie in her hands. She has 5 different options. One just so happens to be her best friend. This book uses plenty of imagery and makes sure to give a clear image of what's going on, which is another reason why I liked it so much. Who will Charlotte choose? Read to find out.
My students got me into this book. I have to say it didn't flow that well and you can tell there were a lot of plot issues.. But it kept my interest long enough to finish it. It did start off very cliche, but then the ending was surprising. The characters were all very shallow, but then you started to see some depth. The idea itself was repulsive. Let's hope that there are no high school guys that actually do that. As the contest was quite sleezy.. I did get aggravated early on because she acted like almost being raped was no big deal.. Seriously did the guy ever go to jail. She didn't even file a report. I almost put the book down because of the scene.
But then the ending floored me. So did not see that coming at all.. And it was the ending that changed the book for me. And then of course Luke's point of view.. just killed me inside.

Oh my god, do I have a lot to say about this book.
I hate it, but I LOVE it.
Hate because of you know who, doing you know what, aka LUKE DYING. Just whyyy? If it's a fun, teen romance book, why kill off a MAIN CHARACTER? I'm not sure if the author is trying to be dramatic, for the end or whatever, but the fans are just dissapointed. Other than that, the book was filled with fun, hilariously adorable moments. I adore this book and would highly recommend it (except the last few chapters).

Oh, my God! The main character is so f**king annoying! The story is so unrealistic it seems like a 12 year old wrote it and that would be inappropriate for a child to write if that was the case. I only read halfway through the book and I got bored. I just couldn't finish this it was that bad! 1.5 stars
Okay so I recently kick started my Wattpad account and this was a reccomended thingy so I checked it out. Typical love... its not really a triangle, more of a hexagon... yeah its a typical love hexagon. Girl loves boy bestfriend, he loves her but shes too scared to tell him blah blah blah... I loved the whole concept of the "Virginator" and the fact they were competing... but it got boring at times...
I was always Team Luke, the entire way, boy bestfriend is always the way to go but she went with a guy she barely KNEW? Yeah no thank you. A lot of the characters werent properly well written and I guessed like 90% of the stuff that was coming next. This meant is had no shock value which really really really really bored me at times... i accidently read a spoiler review and saw what happened at the end, so i stuck it out to see what happened and that bit actually made me cry... seriously, a tear actually ran down my face.
It wasn't gripping, the concept was awesome, and the thing at the end shouldntve happened...
Fuh seharian selesai bacanyaa, waw. Awalnya nge-ship Charlotte dan Luke. Tapi setelah Tyler datang dengan gaya bad boy nya yang seakan-akan menghindari Charlotte, ga kuat buat ngga ketawa disetip percakapannya. Tyler had to be the one. Awalnya bacanya senyum-senyum, tapi karna jalan cerita yang cukup panjang (memang harus krna adanya 5 cowok) dan membosankan jadi serasa lama banget nyelesainnya. terus banyak adegan2 ataupun situasi ga terlalu penting. setiap percakapan Charlotte dan Ian selalu di skip. bc I don't like Ian. jadi yaah bacanya sedikit setengah hati krna ada bagian yg di skip hihi. tapi overall menghibur kok.
untuk castingnya ntah kenapa ngebayangin susah ngebayangin Lucas Till as Lucas dan Sean O'py sbgai Tyler. In my imagination Tyler way more taller than Sean and more bad boy style than him.
I absolutely LOVED this book! I don’t normally stay up on a night where I have to be at work in the morning, but I stayed up until almost 5am to finish this book. I COULD NOT put it down. I am OBSESSED with these characters - they almost felt real! Yeah, the plot and storyline need some work, but it was so good! The ending made me start crying. I had so many emotions while reading this book!
Well, this was ridiculous. Sorry but it totally was. And the characters... I don't want to bash the story or the author but it needs so much more editing and re-writing. The only good thing is the premise of the book. The execution is, well, very bad.
so bad and things happened that made zero sense and/or ruined storyline. The writing was terrible and the story locked any real plot. The ending was terrible and whole book seemed to drag on unnecessarily.
In my opinion, the storyline is dragged out for way too long, and the concept of the story itself was just absurd to me. Overall, it was difficult to get through and I would not read it again.
Okay, prepare for a huge - and I actually mean huge - rant. Plus a few (Okay, a lot) spoilers.
At the start, I actually liked the story, and though some things didn't make sense, I pushed the matter to the back of my mind.
Basically, there's a school where taking virginity is sort of like a game, and Charlotte is the main character and the last virgin left. There are five main contenders - Tyler Bradshaw, the mysterious 'bad boy', Alec Jennings, an athlete, Ian Jameson, a spoilt rich guy, Beckett Cartwright, this brainy guy and Lucas Chandler, her best friend.
I've only just started my rant, and there's already loads of things wrong with this story.
First of all, where on earth will you find a school where boys take people's virginity?! The answer is actually pretty simple. Nowhere! Second of all, these boys have slept with every single girl in the school except Charlotte? I mean, that's pretty hectic if you ask me. Continuing on though.
The ending. It kills me. I honestly wish I hadn't read it, and if I could un-read it, I would. Luke dies. How exciting. To be honest, I don't even think he deserves Charlotte. He was always there for her ever since they were in kindergarten, and she started to develop feelings for him. When he finally told her he liked her, she just straight up turned him down, like "Nope, you're a player!" and chose this guy whose father is a drug dealer over him.
Yes, I understand. Luke did have flaws, but compared to the rest of the boys, in my eyes, he was an angel. At the start of the story, I absolutely loved Luke, except for the fact that he'd - eugh - slept with many, many girls. If he hadn't done that, I bet half the dissapointed readers would be like "Yep! Best book ever!"
I won't start on the other contenders, but truth behold, I hate them all equally. They all pretty much wanted Charlotte for her virginity, and she's just like "Yeah, no problem!"
The one genuine person who actually wanted her because he cared just had to die. It's the most annoying thing. How can you possibly just kill one of the main freaking characters, and make the other characters act as if nothing happened? I swear one minute Charlotte loved him and everything, the next she hated him, and then he died. She felt sad for like two seconds, and then like a week later she just acted as if nothing happened?!
Charlotte; the main character. I absolutely hate her character. She's this snobby girl who dates like five people at once, and then when one of them do something that upsets her, or they freaking look at another girl, she gets all sad and just- Ugh!
That's exactly what she did to Luke! Yes, he slept with her best friend Emma, who I believe was Charlotte's other best friend, and I actually hate the author for that. He said that he loved Charlotte, if he did, then WHY did he sleep with like half the school?! It just doesn't make sense, you know?
Emma. She knew Charlotte loved Luke, and that they were best friends. WHY. DID. SHE. DO. IT. If you ask me, she's just a lowkey terrible friend.
Also, the length of the story is crazy. There's over 40 chapter, and most of them are just about her going on dates.
I'm gonna end my rant here, and rate this book 1/5. I didn't read all of it, and skimmed some parts, but there is so much wrong with this book. If I had time, I could write a 6 page essay, but I'm actually tired, unlike some other readers here, and I do mind wasting 8 hours on a book that wasn't even well developed.

Okay, I've seen a lot of mixed reviews and a lot of people are giving this book a hard time, but it's a book! A fictional one at that and it's not entirely bad!
I read this when I was a bit younger, too, so I can't completely attest because my memory is hazy but here we go. So, to begin, the "game" is over exaggerated a bit but that's not necessarily a bad thing! Though I warn that anyone reading this who has read this around my age when I did, (Around 13-14) know that this is not an accurate representation of real life high school or relationships. It's a plot tool that gives a substance to the story so I wouldn't take it too seriously. Plus, an entire high schools student body all lost their virginity and there's only one person left? In its defense, it wouldn't be too far off if they went to a small high school, so don't give it too much crap, alright?
Second, going on dates with all of the boys was just a plot tool to get to know the character, plot conflict and progress the story. (Someone said it was bad, but like it... wasn't??? slut-shame much??) You get to explore different character and concepts in this story and I genuinely like this story. It progressed the character of her best friend, the boys directly involved with the "game". Clowning the dates? Ya'll really thought you were doing something there? And sure, maybe there was a bit of slut-shaming in the book but... They are fictional teenagers with grungy minds! I'm stunned it wasn't worse. The only thing this book is really missing is a never ending stream of self deprecating jokes made by the main character. Ya' know, to make it more accurate to the population of Gen-Z girls it originally peaked with.
Be that as it may, the ending was sad as hell, but do I agree it was the best rout to end it? Hmmmm, not really but this was a Wattpad story and I've read m u c h O_O worse.
So this is from 2020. This book is old news on wattpad but i decided to give it a reread. Lowkey the book itself is addicting, i stayed up all night rereading it but only for the plot. People might not understand the part where virginity is just a game but in reality there are a lot of high schools like this. Sadly, the author could have done so much better with the characters. The only character I really liked was Bennet because he didn't fit a single stereotype and sometimes Emma because she knew how to deal with problems herself. But Charlotte omg my god fricking Charlotte. She was annoying. She slutshamed everyone but she was the worst because you can't just play with multiple guy's feelings. The plot in itself is interesting and unique but it was too overplayed with cliches.
I would have given it a one if it wasnt for the fact that you could tell the author was good enough at writing to make the book addicting enough.
Just wanted to say that this was the first wattpad story i've read when i downloaded it like 3 years ago and I think it's biggest regret of my entire life. It's so bad it's not even funny. Like why the hell is this still on wattpad? Taking virginity as a sport? Like the author wrote this plot, this whole book even, about that? Like for real? Not a satire? I am scared. I don't even why I finished it. Like huh? What was going through my head? Zero stars.
Also I didn't give a shit about anything in this story but anyways team Luke or whatever his name was.

The target audience of this one are teenagers—hormonal, impressionable people who thinks its cool for guys to go after you to wreck your hymen. and the lead female protagonist has the personality of a cardboard. this one is the proof that the world is unfair: stories like this that are great for escapism and cliché as fuck blows up and gets famous.
I hope goodreads put a zero star. a one star is not even deserving for this story at all.
I felt the emotions weren't given enough importance. The book just seemed to rush through them.
Also, I felt all the characters were not given as much importance as Charlotte, the protagonist. So I really didn't feel any connection with any character.
But overall, the book was entertaining and I liked it.
