The last one to fall…

Sam Reed is the only brother in the Reed family who hasn’t fallen head over heels in love. He has a promising contract to play professional football, but something is missing. Sam likes to watch cooking shows, snuggle on the couch, and he wants someone to do it with him. But with his go-getter lifestyle, it’s almost impossible to find the time to get to know one woman. That is, until he meets the one who makes him want to change his whole life.

A fake name and a world of hurt...

When Peck was twelve, she was called by a different name, lived with a different family, and had no prospects whatsoever. But now she finds herself the drummer in an all-girl band, makes more money than she ever dreamed possible, and she’s content. Until the day her birth mother shows back up.

Fame. Fortune. Stardom. Adolation.

Neither of them wants it.

They both have it. But can they have more?

Tammy Falkner lives on a farm in a lovely, sprawling little town in rural NC with her beekeeper husband and a house full of boys, a few dogs, and a cat or two (or five – who has time to count?). As half of the Lydia Dare team, she has co-written ten books, including the Westfield Wolves series and the Gentlemen Vampyre series. A huge fan of Regency England, she often wonders what other kinds of magical, mythical and strange creatures might live and interact within the ton. Exploring the theory that the fae can walk between Regency England and their own land, Tammy spends as much time as possible with the lords and ladies of society, horse-drawn carriages, and elegant balls. Now add to that some faeries, a little murder, a bit of mayhem, and a troublesome garden gnome, and you have her exciting new series. She hopes you enjoys her world as much as she does.

3 stars

The last of the Reed brothers and I did like it. But I felt like I have too many complaints to rate 4 stars.

1. Even though I read Beautiful Bride I still feel like a large part of Sam&Peck's story was missing.
2. Peck irritated me for half the book.
3. The end .
4. The authors note at the end

I still love all the brothers and Sam was everything I imagined him to be, so hot fun sexy and sweet.

Recommend to readers: Who have read the previous books in the series.

Thanks for the BR ladies x

"The Reeds take people in like they’re family. Anyone. The only requirement is that you have a pulse. And if you don’t have a heart, they’ll give you theirs.”

This statement is pretty freaking accurate for the Reeds. I have read all the Reed Brother’s books and that is the underlining theme. No matter what your situation is they will be there for you, help you, and love you.

Peck grew up in foster care before she was adopted. She knows what it is like be ignored and casted away for not living up to other’s expectations. Peck is also very self conscious of the way she looks, so when she meets a man who wants to give her time and attention, she has problems believing it is genuine.

Sam Reed is a professional football player and despite the fact the Reed Brother’s didn’t have the easiest upbringing they do have a huge support system in each other. It is fair to say that now Sam’s life is going exactly how he wants it to go with the exception of one thing: Peck. From the moment he met Peck he has wanted nothing more than to get to know her. but she is completely ignoring all of his advances.

"She is going to marry me one day. She just doesn’t know it yet.”

When circumstances lead to her staying with Sam temporarily everything changes. I mean how long can she deny a man who loves her for who she is, cooks, has a sexy body, and wants her more than anything else in his life…not very long.

This is story, like the other books in the series is sugary sweet. I like surgery sweet books at times, but didn't love the drama we did have it in this one. It was more frustrating then anything. I hate lack of communication in books and this one felt over the top especially since both of them are used to the celebrity lifestyle and what to expect.

In then end, I did enjoy this one and do recommend this if you have followed the series and enjoyed the other books.

4 Tap Tap Tap Does This Mean Love Stars * * * *

I have been starting the New Year with the Reed Brothers. Gorging on these men who get smacked in the face by love and then pursue their women like it is the Holy Grail. Most of the books have worked out issues of trust, disability, acceptance and just plain needing to allow others to love them. This was no different except this was the last of the official Reed Brothers. This was Sam's story and he was the last of the direct line of Reeds.

Sam was the one who was able to go to college and have a career out side of tattooing... Sam was gifted in sports; his talents brought him to professional football. His heart, though, was cooking. He only did the pursuit of football so he could provide for his brothers; pay them back for all the sacrifices they did on his behalf.

He has experienced the cheerleaders and other women of "status"; none of them have ever connected... he likes a "real women"... ones with curves and valleys... ones with hips and thighs and soft...just calling out to be grabbed and held... His sister in law, Emily, is a gifted musician who sometimes plays with the all-girl band Fallen From Zero; there he sees and falls for the drummer Peck.

Peck is everything he wants; luscious, curvy and wicked smart... she just doesn't want to talk to him. Peck had a traumatic childhood and then was lucky enough to be adopted by amazing, loving people...Her adoptive dad was a musician and he brought out her gifts with the drums... and this drumming also gave her a tool to assist with another issue, stuttering.. she has feeling for Sam... but between her verbal and physical insecurities, she is locked up in her head.

You know from the beginning of the book these two will figure it all out... This is a Reed Brothers tale, right...but even though we know... we go along with it anyway. There are twists and turns in this and new characters introduced along the way. Ms. Falkner knows her fans were not ready to just let this amazing, heartwarming group of hunky loving men just disappear into that dark night...No... she has given this series more characters for us to meet and accept... there are the sisters of Peck and more men who are at the Tattoo shop to latch on... so more of these books are coming...

All you need to do is be prepared to fall all over again for men who love fully and completely...

Well ladies there are no Reed brothers left they have all been taken.

Zip, Zero, Zilch is Sam Reed's story. It was love at first sight for Sam when he saw Peck but Peck does not want to know Sam.

Peck is shy in front of Sam as she has a secret and something happens and Peck goes to stay with Sam. They spend some time together getting to know each other, Sam cooks for her and Peck begins to feel comfortable with Sam, they are a couple but Sam wants to take things slowly with Peck but things soon start to hot up between them.

I found what happens to Logan near the end very emotional and how all the brothers are there to support him and Emily.

As always it was great catching up with all the gang and I am looking forward to getting to know the rest of the Zero girls.

“The Reeds take people in like they’re family. Anyone. The only requirement is that you have a pulse. And if you don’t have a heart, they’ll give you theirs.”

Oh how I love these boys!!!

A bunch of hot, tattooed ex-man-whores, they have the biggest hearts, and amidst their constant teasing and ribbing, they have an unwavering love for each other, and would do anything for those that they care about. And the way they love their women is nothing short of sensational – strong, sexy and confident, they treasure their girls, and they are very firmly family-focussed. I have so enjoyed watching each of the boys fall in love, and now it’s Sam’s turn.

Sam wanted Peck the moment he laid eyes on her earlier in the series. She is the drummer in the band Fallen From Zero (featuring her and her sisters), and they are starting to have some success. But Peck has had a hard life and is somewhat closed off because of it, so even though she is attracted to Sam, she has tried to ignore her feelings for him. This book picks up right where Beautiful Bride finishes off (so make sure you read these books - and the novellas - in order), and the events from the end of that book force Peck to finally face up to how she feels. Then Sam drops a bomb on her.

He squeezes my hand. “I’m pretty sure I’m in love with you, cupcake,” he says. “I just wish you could love me back.”

Peck’s insecurities continue to get in the way, until her nasty past resurfaces and Sam offers her an escape and she moves in with him under the pretence of ‘protection’. What it actually is, is the perfect opportunity for Sam to finally get Peck to himself and to force her to stop running from him.

I freakin’ love Sam. He’s gorgeously sweet, and of course he’s infinitely sexy, and the way he is with Peck is adorable! He trusts his heart completely, and he never gives up on her. And he’s so open about how he feels about her, and he is unapologetically and charmingly honest with his flirting and dirty talk.

“I’m having really inappropriate thoughts about you right now,” I blurt out. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. When I open them, she’s grinning.
“What kind of inappropriate thoughts?”
“The kind where you’re completely naked.”
“And what are you wearing?”
... “You.”

Sam’s love of curvy women is common knowledge, and Peck is pretty much perfect for him. She has some body issues, but he loves her shape, and his blatant worship of her body combined with his utter confusion about what she thinks is wrong with it is absolutely gorgeous.

“She’s worried about a pudgy spot? Seriously? I live for pudge. Bring it on.”

Peck is terrified of being hurt, so keeps herself guarded – for a little while at least. But no woman can resist a Reed brother set in seduction mode!

“You can try out my piercing after you fall in love with me, okay?”
“What?”
“I kind of need for you to love me, Peck.” He’s quiet but fierce. “You’re not in love with me yet, are you?”
“Um…” I don’t know how to answer him.
“It’s okay. Don’t rush it. I can wait.”

See! He’s perfect! And yep, he even has a piercing! And he also apparently has mad skills in the sack – must be a family trait ;)

The progression of Sam and Peck’s relationship is gorgeous, although once they finally got themselves sorted out, I was surprised at the speed with which things progressed. I also wasn’t happy with the added drama at the end. I thought it was a little unrealistic , and it felt like it was written in just for the sake of adding drama. But it’s resolved well (although a little overly-dramatic for my tastes) and the ending is, of course, a happy one (with epilogue), but again, parts of it felt a little rushed for me. But let’s face it, it’s a Reed Brothers book, so even though there were things about it that weren’t perfect, the rest of the book was pure awesome, and I still absolutely loved it!

“Tell me what you want.”
“You,” I say. “Just you.”
“You got me,” he whispers against my lips.

The connection between the brothers is beautiful, and the way that they are unquestionably there for each other is reinforced multiple times throughout the story. And there is a scene at the end of this book that had me tearing up. I love them so much!

“So, you’re the last one to fall,” he says. He’s serious all of a sudden. “I never really worried about you. I worried more about Pete, because I knew you had more ability to love than any of the rest of us.”
“What makes you say that?”
“I don’t know,” he hedges. “You just wore your heart on your sleeve. You love, and you love well and true. That’s one of your strengths.”

And even though the boys have all now had their stories told, the series will continue with Peck’s four sisters, and then Seth will get his book – YES! I loved the inclusion of Peck’s Dad in the story, and am looking forward to seeing more of him. And if the glimpse we’ve gotten of the girls is anything to go by, their books are going to be fan-freaking-tastic!

“I don’t know.” I flop back on the bed with a groan. “What do I do?”
“Him,” Fin calls. “Do him. Then let him do you. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.”

Tammy Falkner has given us another wonderful story full of everything that I love about this series – her characters are fantastic and the dynamics between the individuals and the group as a whole is fantastic, and the banter and teasing, and the love and respect that they have for each other is something very special. I love these characters, I love these books, and I love this series! It’s definitely one that will be on the reread pile, and I look forward to continuing to catch up with them all again in the next books.

I loved it – 4 stars.

3 Stars! Zip, Zero, Zilch...that's how I felt about the chemistry between Sam and Peck!

I love this series, just adore it, but Sam and Peck did not work for me at all! I was not convinced, and hoped for so much more for Sam. Not that Peck was a bad person, she just wasn't right for him. I tried to feel a connection, but I came up empty...nothing...in other words...zip, zero, zilch! The only thing that saved this read...was the Reeds!! The author does an amazing job of bringing the entire family; brothers, spouses, friends...all the characters we love...into the fold. That family element and their presence is what bumped this up a star, that's always 5 star worthy! If I had to base it solely on Sam and Peck, it would have been a 2 star read, but because this book encompasses the entire Reed community, I tacked on one more.

As a whole, this series is fabulous, but this book didn't grab me a much as all the rest. I'm sure many fans of this series loved Sam and Peck's story, just not this fan. None the less, I'm looking forward reading more in this series, there's a lot of life left, and Tammy Falkner will no doubt wow me again!

I love the Reed Brothers and I’ve been looking forward to Sam’s book for a long time. It was cute, but dang… that miscommunication at the end was so frustrating. Overall, I liked it and I have such a soft spot for this series!

The last Reed Brother is live!
http://amzn.to/11gIUT2

This book will pull at your heart strings in many wonderful ways. It’s a deliciously emotional story, perfectly balanced between sexy, swoony, funny and earnest with a handsome football star that will have you eating out of his hand, or at least his kitchen.
“You like the chicken?”
“It was like having sex.”
“Beg your pardon?”
“Awesome. Breathtaking. Surprising. Comforting.”
“You’re comparing my food to sex?”
“Yep.”
“Cupcake, I can guarantee you sex with me will be a lot better than some chicken dinner.”

I’ve been in love with these men since I first met them. From their absolute support for one another and their close knit bonds, how the find one another to ask and give advice, to their wonderful sense of humor and just general goodness.
“The Reeds take people in like they’re family. Anyone. The only requirement is that you have a pulse. And if you don’t have a heart, they’ll give you theirs.”

Tammy writes the best kind of heroes. Rough and tough alpha males on the outside, complete sweethearts on the inside. But it’s not just the hero or main couple that give these books so much depth and character, it’s all the connections they’ve made. Tammy makes you care about the wives, kids, brothers, sisters and even the loveable elderly door man.
Pete takes Reagan’s hand and drags her down the hallway. “Only one!” the doctor calls. “We are only one.”

But I’m getting ahead of myself. We first learned that Sam was interested in Peck in Proving Paul’s Promise
Peck, I’d like for you to meet my stupid brother, the dumbest man on the planet. He waves at Sam, and Sam’s mouth falls open.
“Oh, fuck,” Sam says. “She’s deaf.”
Not deaf, she signs back. I can hear.
And you can sign.
Apparently.
She grins at him.
I’m Sam. I’m an idiot. And I like your ass. And your thighs. He jerks a thumb behind him. Do you want a cupcake? ~ Excerpt from Proving Paul’s Promise

Zip, Zero Zilch starts where Beautiful Bride left of, right after Sam is taken to the hospital after a car accident pushing Peck to face her feelings towards Sam. But after overhearing a conversation between him and his ex-girlfriend, together with her insecurities, Peck is certain that Sam is just not the man for her. Circumstances though, force them together allowing their attraction to grow into more.
“I really, really like you and I want to see where this thing is going… And I know that once I get to be inside you, I’m never going to want to let you go, so I want to be sure this is permanent.”

It was so sexy, charming and sweet watching these two get to know and trust each other. I loved how Sam once he realized she was the girl for him, never gave up on her, not even after months of her giving him the brush off. He’s persistent and flirty, but also very understanding and patient.
“Do you think you could fall in love with me, cupcake? …You’re not easy to love, because you can’t love me back. But you might one day. I’ll wait. But you got to start taking my calls.”

I loved that he wanted Peck to trust him above all else, to feel for him what he did for her which made it impossible not to fall for him. It was so endearing how he was so respectful of Peck’s parents. Just about everything he did made my heart flutter and the things that come out of his mouth were enough to warm me all over. He’s a gentleman with a dirty mouth…
“That’s just my dick. I told you he likes you. He’ll give up in a minute. Go to sleep.”

And a dirty mind…
“What kind of inappropriate thoughts?”
“The kind where you’re completely naked.”
“And what are you wearing?”
“You.”

And Peck was pretty great herself. She’s successful, strong and perseverant, finding a way to surpass not only her stutter, but her sad childhood which was saved by the very loving and caring hearts of her adoptive parents, who opened their home and soul to Peck and four other young ladies, the Fallen from Zero crew, which I can’t wait to get to know. Marta and Emilio are one awesome couple, especially Emilio’s don’t-make-my-daughter-cry protectiveness.
“Emilio was being a dad, and he tracked Sam to the stadium. Don’t worry. He came out of it with nothing more than a black eye.”

But if you want the full story you’ll need to read it yourself. I can tell you though that when I least expected I was already at the 90% mark. And even though Sam was the last Reed brother left, I wasn’t feeling all that nostalgic, because we have The Zeros’ books and like I mentioned above, Tammy makes her stories not just about the main characters, but includes all the beautiful connections they’ve made along the way. So I know we’ll be visiting with these amazing characters later on.

There are so many elements besides the romance that make this story golden. From the family values, to the openness to lend a helping hand, to characters who are perfectly imperfect just as they are and don’t need fixing, but sometimes they want a change.

This stunning story packed in a big emotional punch that kept me smiling, fanning myself or crying from start to finish with its charming, sweet and swoony characters. If you like a heartfelt a story, with “a buffet of testosterone and hotness, wrapped in pretty ink”, this is a book for you.

Zip, Zero, Zilch is full length novel and book #6 in the Reed Brothers series. If you aren’t up to date with the series, I suggest you at least read Beautiful Bride first or better yet, read the entire series. There’s no cheating, with a beautiful HEA.

* I feel so honored and privileged to have been given a sneak peak at this book about the last of the Reed brothers and the first in the Zero clan by the author. Thank you Tammy! The excerpts are from that copy. *

A freaking million stars ? I don’t even know why I bothered rating this, everyone knows it’s phenomenal.

The book is part of the Reed Brothers series. I’ve been waiting all my life for it. It’s a love story between a Reed brother and a kickass stuttering heroine. And it was written by Tammy Falker. Need I say more ? I think not… This woman deserves a medal or something. She writes like she was born to do so. She makes you fall in love with EVERY ONE of her characters. She's a genious.

I actually enjoyed this one! So much better than Paul's book.

As the mom of a son who has a cochlear implant, I'm always happy when that's written into books.

Looking forward to the Zero books!

A disappointing 3.5 stars!

I am having a 'what the chuff was that all about?' moment, and why the hell do I not have that lovely warm, contented feeling that ive come to expect when Ive just finished with one of the Reed brothers stories!!!!!

In brief, i would say i the 1st half of the book was ok, and then it wasn't!

Everthing was there for a great story, but it never got going, it just plodded and plodded on.

There were a couple of new characters introduced in this book, but instead of being done gradually or in keeping with the storyline I felt like they were just thrown in
And a story made up on the page they landed on!

I didnt remember much about the H and h from the previous book, apart from Sam liked to cook, and normally this wouldnt be a problem as its pretty standard to have a few refreshers from the previous book about characters and certain events, but that didnt happen, and I was left wondering what the hell hapoened between these two to make Peck feel the way she did in the beginning of the story.

It was just an okay read for me.

I hope this makes sense

4-4.5 I AM GOING TO MISS THE REED"S SO MUCH! stars....

song: Ed Sheeran "Firefly"

This was a really good conclusion to the Reed brothers series. At times it felt rushed but from half way on it was just as great as all of the others. I am really impressed w how well TF was able to make each bro's story unique but yet they all still had similarities.
I power read this whole series- I feel like I want to start over again immediately...I am just not ready to be over the Reed boys! They stole my heart!
Sam's story- like his bro's- was immediate, heart stopping, cannot be wo you love...He knew immediately that Peck was the girl for him. She was damaged and he was just the man to open her heart to happiness and love and of course FAMILY.
The extra snippets of the other family members are always wonderful, I LOVED knowing what was happening w everyone BUT what Logan goes through in this book made me cry big ugly HAPPY tears.
Thank you TF for bringing these boys into my world! This has been an amazing journey and I cannot wait to read about the Zeroes and Seth and Henry and whoever else you will give me!

I love this series. These books are easy to read and just make me feel good. There is something about a bunch of burly brothers that love and take care of each other, but still give each other shit like brothers do.

I think Sam might by my favorite....he's really close with Logan. He was so sweet and caring with Peck and he would make me laugh with some of the stuff that would come out of his mouth.

Peck didn't understand why someone like Sam would want to be with her so it was up to him to make her believe it...and he was pretty darn good at that!

I'm excited that there is another novella as well as another book in the works! Great series!

Oh, and I really loved that part with Logan at the end. It was perfect!

This was a bittersweet read...only because it was the last Reed Brother to get his girl. I am so glad that this series will continue though...I need more. I loved this book, Sam was so sweet. It was also amazing to see Logan get to hear, although I liked him the way he was too! Still lots of characters to go. I need Fin, Lark, Star, Wren, Seth's book. It also left Malone and Jack's story with a lot of questions...I would love to read their story! Keep writing Tammy Falkner!!!

Ok this one was another tricky rating for me.

I L O V E all things Reed Brothers and honestly would buy just about anything based on them but this book just wasn't quite there for me.

I actually feel like the 4 stars are more for the background characters and the fact that even thought I didn't love their story I still had to read it and I walked away in a Reed family fog so I was happy but there was just too much brushed over or left unfinished.

It felt rushed and it definitely missed the depth of the other books, even the novellas felt like they had more story and substance imo.

That said I absolutely adore the fact that every story, book, novella, couple, background character or random passer by has the real life factor. It would be easy to say there's an "issue" in ever book cause yeah there is but it works so well at no point does it feel over done or preachy. It just fits with the fact these are amazing men who live a life where they surround themselves with good people doing great things. And the fact that life is different for everyone and everyone has an issue or has a connection to an issue and I adore it. It makes these characters so human for me.

But sadly Sam and Peck's issues and stories were just flat and the whole book was kinda a meh it was a Saturday and I got to lie round and read about my favourite fictional family so I can't complain but I really hope the next one is back up to the bar Tammy set for all the others.

Should you read it?

I love this series and always look forward to the next one. what happened with Logan in this book made me so happy for him. If there is one thing I love about the Reed brothers, its how passionate they are about their women. :) They also have a an amazing relationship with eachother and are always there when they need them, no matter what.

Sam is very persistent and I loved him for it. Peck is so insecure with her body and stutter, but it takes Sam to get her to accept it. He's loved her from when he first met her but she wasn't having any of it. He kept at her and I am glad he did. Peck has had a rough life and it was heartbreaking knowing the kind of person her mother was. She got the support systen she needed and ended up with sisters in the process. Those girls are awesome together and I cant wait to see whats up with Star and Josh :)...and of course the rest of her friends.

The ending, had me shed a few tears for Logan and his brothers, but they were happy tears :) Well done Tammy! Can't wait for Good Girl Gone :)

Ok so if you have been following the Reeds then you will totally love Sam's story. I mean was there anyone more perfect for him then Peck really! They were made to be together. I loveeeeed we get to see more Logan and Em and Kit I mean Swooooooning over here. And wow the last chapter does it get any better then that. Totally made me cry. I hate finishing the book cause I always want more of these Reeds. Sigh guess I will have to start from the beginning again. ;)

Second listen:

I second what I said finally Sam's Story.

I loved Peck and Sam and together awesome. Other than that part where he doesn't let her explain!! MEN I swear sometimes they just want to see what they want and that is that.

Also that last chapter my gosh, and I think it was setting up for the next book. I bet it will be Star.

The narration for this book was good because there was more Peck's POV than Sam's so it made sense for it to be a female narrator.

Loved it.

Tammy Falkner never fails me in crash an enjoyable story with likeable and relatable characters. I adored Sam and Peck and the band on many Reeds and others. I love how this series is made up of atypical people blending together to form a uniquely beautiful family -- and that includes the new addition of Josh who totally saved the day at a critical point. This is a series that only gets better and better and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to read about the other Zeroes and Seth.
