War of Contractia #2

Peter and the Elven Songs

Rate this book
Please note that this is the SECOND book in the War of Contractia.

This story is mostly told from the perspective of Peter as he begins Year 2 at the (magic) Academy of Contractia. As the cast expands though, you will walk into the lives of some of his friends, both new and old. His goals are ambitious and he cannot achieve them alone but, both for his own sake and for the sake of his friends, failure is not an option. You will meet powerful and sometimes truly evil new enemies. Should he be more concerned about an old foe though?

Please note that this book is unsuitable for young children mostly due to violent content and occasional (non explicit) references to matters of a romantic nature. There are also very rare innocent but compromising situations.

I am an independent author in my thirties. I generally write at the same time as cycling... on my exercise bike. I don't recommend writing and cycling on the road though! I write as a hobby in my spare time, though I wrote my latest book (The Consequences of Trolling God) between jobs. It is a magic fantasy comedy with elements of litRPG. The main character is an internet troll who has to face life as a real flesh and blood troll in a world where monsters are hunted.

I am a supporter of the Open Rights Group in the UK, which campaigns against internet censorship and mass surveillance among other digital rights issues. As I am committed to digital rights I believe it would be hypocritical to use DRM so I have no intention of doing so.

Shows Clear Promise of a Harem

The author has clearly read manga/Japanese light novels and/or watched anime. Some of the names are clearly Japanese and so are sounds like nya used in this book. It also has all the classic signs of a Harem light novel. I love manga etc so this really appeals to me, but even if you haven't read manga etc this would still really appeal to a young male adult/older teen audience.

I am glad book 3 is out, because it more or less ends in a cliff hanger.

Another exciting, funny and interesting book. I've read all four now and I enjoyed them all but this is probably my favorite. I'm looking forward to reading book five when it comes out.

Enjoyable but not for the prices

I found these books enjoyable. However I bought 3 of them and Won't be buying the next few. While there decent books, they're not worth the prices being charged for each. Feels as though the author is dragging out the story simply to get more sales.
