Bethany Aodhán is not only a reluctant relic hunter for Deva’s Fae Council, but also a major “chess piece” in the latest round of godly games. When a fallen storm goddess tasks her with finding Bia’s Blade—a godly weapon capable of bringing anyone under the control of its wielder—she knows danger will once again stalk her.
As if that was not enough to deal with, the council hands her a second mission—find the person who, with the help of another godly relic, broke into one of the most secure banks in all of England to steal a handful of documents.
It soon becomes clear that the person behind the break-in is after the same thing Beth is—the location of Carla Wilson, the second-in-command of the Ninkilim.
But things become more complicated when she receives confirmation that someone close to her works for the enemy. What she doesn’t know is how far they will go to fulfill their contract.
And whether it really even matters.
Because Carla Wilson has finally had enough of Bethany’s interference, and is now determined to bring her under total control… with the help of Bia’s Blade.

I love this series, I’m just getting a little impatient for the Cynwrig storyline to resolve itself. This happened to me with Lizzie Grace as well. The two relationships are annoyingly similar, and it’s starting to affect my enjoyment of this series. (I already paused Lizzie Grace at Sorrow’s Song waiting for the completion of the series so I could just marathon it, but I haven’t gone back to do so…yet.). The cast of secondary characters in this series are amazing though, and the adventures are always fun, even if the gods are completely aggravating.
Another action-packed adventure for pixie/godling Bethany Aodhan, with help from her good friend and ex-lover, Mathi. They are trying to recover several godly relics, and find the woman who has been behind the theft and use of relics, Carla Wilson. Relationships are very complicated for Bethany right now, but her friendship with Mathi is something she can count on - as well as help from her brother Lugh and her best friend Darby. The conclusion of this book did wrap up some of the questions about some characters, so I think we may be getting close to the conclusion of the Relic Hunters series but there is still the mystery of who is pulling the strings and directing the activities of Carla Wilson, so there’s more story to tell. Of course, I look forward to what comes next for Bethany.
I’m at the point where this series needs to come to a close. We’re at book 6 and Bethany and Cynwrig still aren’t where they need to be? Nah sis, please help us! Bring them together or leave her with Mathi, but please do something!
