Such a heart breaking story. How could somebody especially a teacher do this to children. Felt for all the little boys in this story kept liked caged animals and made to fight just to survive. It was a very good written book though.

I enjoyed it, now I am moving onto the next book in the series. I love the characters, especially the relationship, or lack thereof, between Finn and Kat. The ending was quite a surprise. The story ends a few chapters before the book actually ends, or does it? Don't quit reading just because all of the bad guys have been caught. The subject is heartbreaking, kids being kidnapped and forced to fight each other for the benefit of someone else's "entertainment." It is full of action from beginning to end.

Excellent storyline! Terrific read.

It is always great when the sequel superbly follows the prequel. This book keeps you on the edge so its interactions between all of the parties remains intense throughout the book. I look forward to reading the third sequel in this wonderful series.

This series definitely needs to be a movie. I pray to God This is not bases on a true story. But mostly likely so.
Can't imagine this happening to little children. In all it's still a good read. Mysteries and crimes.

This series is so engrossing it has me captivated this is the second book in the series and l didn't put it down till I finished

I just love a good mystery and these two books did not disappoint me. They drew me in at the very beginning and kept me engaged until the very end. I really liked Jamie and her brother Jake as well as their aunt Kat and Officer Finn. They were all very likable, drawn out characters that you can relate too.

In To Kill For, greed and jealousy lead to a bad decisions that could ruin one of the character's life.

In Blood Sport, children are at risk and need to be found before the villains get away for good.

There were just enough twists and turns to keep me guessing about what would happen next. A few hints are scattered throughout each one with a bit of a cliff hanger at the ends to lead to the next book in the series. I can’t wait to read the book three, Hard Time, and I purchased a copy today.

I really enjoyed both books and highly recommend them.

A super quick read. I'm back to yelling at a book! I like that the 'secret' from book 1 was revealed, I would have thought it was cheesy if it had dragged on, so kudos it didnt!

The theme with this one involved children, so that was rough, but the author is not gruesome in details, so you get the idea without gore.

Another book I couldn't put down. I finished it in a day!

A couple of typos, and character mix up - just enough to notice and do a double take or reread, but nothing major and not many of them. I read this book as part of the bulk series, so I had the 5 books as 1.

This second book in the McKay Series is much better than the first book. The story was centered on Kat and indirectly Finn, with minor appearances from Jamie. The character of Kat was increasingly developed, as was Finn in many ways. There was better continuity of the story, as opposed to To Kill For which was just to many stories that were not well developed. No character development of Jamie and don't know if that will get better with the next book or not. I do intend to read the next book since this one was more character centered and I like Kat and think I like Finn.

Good fast read when you don't have a lot of time but you want a good fast paced book. Again it ended with another cliffhanger so I have to read the next one now. I will probably pick it up on the Kindle in a little while and read it tonight. The characters are pretty interesting and I would like to see where it goes from here. I did kind of have the twist figured out early on but that was okay too. It was still a good book and again, very clean and good for anyone.

The second in the series and it was just as difficult to put down as the first. Quite short so the story moves at a speedy pace. An unusual case finds Kat and Finn working together again and I had to keep reading as much to see what happens next in their lives as much as where the upsetting and detailed case took them. An excellent read and I'M now starting the next instalment.

Proofreading needed

The poor editing (omitted, repeated, or just plain wrong words) was a recurring annoyance . Please give your readers enough respect to proofread the book before publishing. That, combined with the, in my view, unbelievability of the story, had me annoyed that I had taken the time to read it.

This is 4 and a half. Enjoyed this more than the first. A gritty storyline and fast moving. I have now bought the third. They do leave you wanting more.
