This is a young adult, paranormal series. Book 1 is FREE!
Taylor, Jesse, and her best friend, Julie, are on the run from witches, vampires, and werewolves. They secretly pose as vampires and travel to Salem to get clues on how to save all the 'petals' from being sacrificed in an ancient ceremony. With trouble brewing all around them, can they outrun the supernaturals who want to see them dead?
Chrissy Peebles, a practicing nurse, has always loved reading and writing fantasy from the earliest age she can remember. She plotted every single twist she could think of during bedtime stories for her children. When her little ones begged for more adventures, she felt confident enough to let her overeager imagination and sense of humor spill out into her first novel. She lives in Ohio with her husband, two young kids, one hamster, three dwarf hamsters and cat. When she's not taking the kids to Little League soccer, basketball, or baseball, she loves to snap photos as her favorite hobby.
For the most part I liked it more than the second book. It started out better, but the relationship between Taylor and Jesse just doesn't seem to be developing beyond kissing to kiss. I don't see any depth of why they like or love eachother beyond the physical appearance and Jesse wanting to protect Taylor from her "destiny."
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Action-packed and creative, Chosen delivers more complexity with witches and werewolves. Taylor, Jesse, and Julie’s dynamic is fun, and the Salem setting adds intrigue. The plot builds momentum and heightens the sense of danger.
It was ok. Still with Jesse and Taylor hot and heavy kisses get a little boring. He's good looking we get it already, no need to say it on every page. It got a little more interesting with the addition of a few extra people to the "petal gang". And Taylors constant complaint about being a petal but I want to live, I didn't ask for this but I'll avenge all the other petals. How will I do this by breaking the one thing that everyone wants, yeah, that's what I'll do. There will be no repercussions if I do that. No one will want to kill me if I break there artifact. ugh.
This was an action packed installment. It actually captured more of the story than I was expecting. Figured for sure they wouldn't find a way to stop the ceremony until it was closer to January. That said the proofreading was a little lax. Need to pay closet attention to which words are being used, spell check doesn't catch everything. Delay publishing a day and give it another read through.
Taylor is one of the chosen, but she didn't ask for this, she wants to live. Have a life with Jesse, but she is wanted so she can be sacrificed. She is right in the middle of her own horror movie. Yes I enjoyed this book.
What a nail biter third installment of the Crush Saga. This paranormal series just keeps getting better and better. I'm definitely ready for the rest of it.
I can't get enough of this series! Taylor, Jesse and Julie, continue their adventure with more twists and turns! This series gets better and better! I'm ready for book 4!
I'm enjoying these books so far. Love the characters, action, adventure and mystery. Of course the cliff hanger at the end of the book. Good thing I have the next book to read!
