My Thoughts:
Fall With Me, by Julie Particka, had an interesting storyline. It was about Jenna, a young college woman, who had been in a serious relationships with Adam for 3 years. Jenna (Jem) is engaged, and looking forward to making the announcement to her family, when she is callously dumped for her best friend, Lacey. The betrayal causes Jenna major heartbreak, and she can't understand how her best friend since childhood could do this to her. To top things off, Lacey doesn't seem to regret what she has done.
Sutton is Lacey's older brother. He has had feelings for Jem since she was in high school. When Jem came on to him, she was drunk and Sutton didn't want to take advantage of her. However, Jem took it as a rejection, and Sutton lost his chance to be with her. Currently, circumstances have Sutton and Jem working together at her father's construction site. Sutton wants a chance with her, and has been in love with Jem for years. Slowly, these two rekindle their friendship, and flirtily banter with one another. Jem is still attracted to Sutton, after all he was her high school crush. These two still share sexual chemistry, and the more time they spend together, the more they start falling for one another. Sutton develops a plan to get his sister Lacey away from the womanizing Adam, and hopes that Jem will realize her feelings for him in the process. The plan is to act like Jem and Sutton are in a relationship, and when Adam gets jealous, and tries to make a move on Jem, Lacey will see his true colors and dump him. Jem agrees to the plan, but not everything goes as expected.
Fall With Me had an entertaining story arc. I enjoyed how Sutton and Jem were as a couple. They had a fun and sexy dynamic together. However, the characters weren't as fleshed out as I would have liked them to be. Also, the "plan" only lasted two days, and I expected it to be a larger part of the story. The beginning of the story went fast, and then the middle slowed down quite a bit. There were a few really steamy, sexy, scenes and loads of chemistry between these two characters. Lacey frustrated me, because she was extremely stubborn and self-centered. I didn't see any regret or remorse for what she had done until the end of the story, and there is no way that I would have wanted to be friends with her again. Jem was a lot more forgiving then I could have been. Also, Sutton made a very bad decision in the story, and I think that Jem forgave him way too quickly and easily. This story was very simple and to the point. Overall, I enjoyed, Fall With You.

Isn’t it amazing that one single incident can have such a far reaching effect on a person. Wiping away their self-esteem and changing the course of their lives to a certain degree. Yet, what if their perspective was biased and all the assumptions they have based themselves on were false. Is it fate that intervenes to show you the other side, altering your perception and therefore, your future *SWOON*.
Jenna had a huge crush on her best friends brother growing up, finding the courage through alcohol at a high school party she finally makes her move only to be rejected. This rejection destroyed Jenna’s self-confidence and resulted in her settling into an emotionally draining relationship, willing to overlook infidelity as a result :( Although Jenna never looses her spark completely, her inner monologues retain humor even in the middle of the situation she finds herself in. Dumped via text from her lying/cheating boyfriend to undertake a relationship with Jenna’s best friend, Lacey.
Returning to her home town to regain her balance following graduation, Jenna finds herself working for her father alongside Sutton, determined to fit the lingering feelings she has for him, Jenna tries to rebuild her life.
The dual narrative gives clarity to the actions of the characters, the insight into the incident at the party alters the way in which we view the situation completely. At times I felt the dual narrative contributed to increase the heartache within the story when witnessing both characters inner turmoil. Unfortunately, Sutton is struggling with his own demons and has the tendency to put other people ahead of Jenna when faced with that decision. Something Jenna understandably is unable to accept after everything she has been through. A lot of misinterpretation of the other person adds to the angst within the narrative.
Jenna is a selfless character, always putting other people first even when she is hurt herself. It is utterly understandable that she would want someone to put her first in a relationship. Trust issues and the fear of abandonment create further barriers of tension between Jenna and Sutton. Secrets fester and cause rifts, increasing the divide in the relationship not only between Jenna and Sutton but also Lacey. I have to be honest and say I found Lacey utterly self-centered and shallow. It annoyed me that she had such a fabulous support system yet didn’t offer that kind of support herself.
While I enjoyed Fall With Me I did feel as if the ending was a little abrupt after everything the characters had to go through to be together. This is one of those books that would greatly benefit from an epilogue set a few years in the future :)

2 stars. It started off pretty good, but the main characters ended up being quite annoying. I sympathized with them and wanted them to have their HEA. Goodness though were they so wishy washy. One moment the characters would want one thing and the next they didn't. Later they would go back and want the original thing. That just did not work for me.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy Fall with Me by Julie Particka as much as I hoped I would. I thought it was okay and was able to hope that the main characters would find their happy endings. Ultimately though, I found myself extremely annoyed midway through. The characters were quite wishy washy regarding the revenge plan and their relationship. I also didn’t like the sister/ex-best friend at all regardless of her circumstances. Seriously, I get your situation but the way you were acting about losing your best friend was self centered in my opinion. Anyways the characters fell a bit short for me.
The plot fell short as well, mainly because it was very much dictated by the characters’ wishy washy attitudes. There were some great moments, but I was tired of seeing the characters so indecisive. One minute they’re okay. Then the next minute they’re not. It kind of felt like the problems were on a never ending cycle for much of the story, which is probably why midway through I wasn’t as into the story as I was in the beginning.
All in all, I’d give Fall with Me by Julie Particka 2 stars. I was interested at first, but things went down hill as the plot progressed. I did sympathize with the characters enough to want them to find their happy endings. They were just too immature to make decisions for my tastes. The story wasn’t really for me.
By no means should you take my review at face value though. Just because I didn’t enjoy this read, doesn’t mean you won’t. As of May 1st, Goodreads has an average rating of 3.69. So obviously, most people enjoyed it more than I did. I suggest giving it a try if you’re interested in it, and I’d love to know what you think!

I was really curious as to how the author was going to pull off a story revolving around falling in love with the ex-best friend's brother. But as I read the story, I found myself not wanting that part of the storyline, but rather focusing on the relationship that was building between Sutton and Jenna.
Jenna Brandt, who was patiently waiting for her long term boyfriend to put the promised engagement ring on her finger, finds herself dumped by said boyfriend and him involved with her best friend. She decides to go home to lick her wounds, but doesn't anticipate her ex-best friend's brother, Sutton Bell, to be working with her dad or to propose a partnership that would get is sister away from her ex.
I liked Sutton and Jenna, but I didn't really like the idea of them using each other as a way to: 1. get back at Jenna's ex, Adam and 2. to get Sutton's sister, Lacey, away from Jenna's ex. We discovered that both Sutton and Jenna had liked each other when they were growing up, but Sutton backed away from Jenna because of their age difference. Now that they're adults, I thought the storyline would have been better if they fell in love and left the scheming behind. I say let Lacey have Adam and suffer the consequences later. If you're willing to stab your best friend the back the way she did, let her suffer if it all ends bad.
To me, Sutton and Jenna would have been perfect without the scheme. They could work together, talk, work out what happened when she had tried to profess her love when they were younger and move on from there. Sutton had he own set of issues to work through (mainly his manwhorish ways he used to deal with stress) and they could have done all of that together. We didn't need the added element of trying to break up his sister's relationship.
This was a good read and I did enjoy it. I liked the way Sutton and Jenna were with each other, the banter they had. Their chemistry was kept me reading and the reason I liked the book.

Jenna's best friend and fiancé (secret since he never allowed her to tell anyone) cheat with each other and break Jenna's heart. She hides out at college for a couple of weeks after she graduates 'cos she doesn't want to tell her family about what happened. When she finally goes home, she has to work with the same best friend's brother - who she had the hots for and embarrassed herself over in high school. What she doesn't know is that Sutton also had the hots for her - and still does. When they get together, the sparks are still there and they can't ignore them.
After the fab Pretty Souls, Particka has finally came out with a new book. Don't think that it has anything to do with Pretty souls - it doesn't, I'm still waiting for that one. The characters are fun (if a bit dull - Jenna) and the relationship between Jenna and Sutton is real and well written.

Week 6 of Shameless takes me out of my usual genre. So take my rating with a grain of salt. I rarely read new adult or young adult for a reason. It is because I don't like it. Still, I plowed forward with this book as I committed to read all the books I received at Shameless.
This story is about revenge, redemption and regret. I definitely can get behind these three themes. It is the execution of this story which dragged it a bit down for me. I am not fond of contrived conflict through willful miscommunication. The start of the story is straight forward with Jenna Brandt falling into the age old trap of best friend makes off with her boyfriend/fiance. Her self esteem already suffering, going home w/o a job and seeing a past crush who rejected her just piles on more self esteem issues.
Ms. Particka creates a very realistic response from Jenna. At that age still, the needs of trying to please a selfish boyfriend by sacrificing her own future is unfortunately valid and all too realistic. In my jaded old self, I wanted to yell at her... DON'T DO IT! And yet, in this book Jenna's journey ends with her still defining herself by the man she found and sacrificing her career. This is what doesn't work for me. Although to be fair, Ms. Particka ends the story before we learn what Jenna does with her career. Maybe she does find something in her podunk town that justifies the expensive college tuition she paid. (See my jaded sarcasm?)
Usually, a second chance romance is up my alley. This one was so-so for me. Sutton is the stereotypical out of control guy who went wild when he made some money. Being in the financial district, one's compass tends to get skewed. Whilst it isn't a complete hedonistic full on den of iniquity, the temptations to do drugs, drink and screw excessively and indiscriminately is high. Coming from a similar industry, I can relate. I get Sutton and I like that he's trying to change. His youth shows through in his irrational behaviours when he makes a promise to his sister that conflict with what he promised Jenna. I have one thing to say. "USE YOUR WORDS". Seriously, most of this conflict is a train wreck I can see miles away. For me, this is not enjoyable, even if I did end up liking the characters. Jenna is a bit naive and sweet. Sutton is a confused male who will one day learn the mysteries of a female. This sweet romance is recommended to readers who enjoy new adult with second change themes.

Fall With Me is a book with a lot of promise, but unfortunately it failed to live up to that. Overall, I had a problem with… well, most of the book. First of all, the things that you think from the beginning aren’t really true, especially regarding Jenna’s best friend, Lacey. However, I don’t think this secrecy strengthened the book. I had a big problem with Lacey’s character (as you’ll see), but the fact that we don’t know the truth for most of the book doesn't make anything better.
First of all, I had a hard time rooting for the Jenna/Sutton romance. Jenna starts the book completely broken up about her fiancé dumping her for her BFF, but then in the next scene, basically, she’s thinking about Sutton romantically. It seemed way too quick, even if there was a past attraction there. I found Sutton to be a weak character. He allowed people around him to make decisions for him all the time. I really didn't understand why his parents were all up in his business. I do understand that Sutton wanted to make a lifestyle change compared to what he was like in Chicago, but why did his parents even know about his sex life? The whole thing is a bit odd. With the whole secrecy surrounding him, I kept waiting for some huge secret to come out, but nothing ever happened.
So, Lacey. I disliked her character incredibly, and I was also bitter about the fact that Jenna wasn’t more angry at her BFF for “stealing” her fiance. So much of Jenna’s internal dialogue was all about how Adam snowballed Lacey just like he fooled Jenna into thinking they were serious and that things were good. But Jenna didn’t think things were good, did she? She tells the reader that she knew Adam cheated on her in the past and she didn't do a thing about it. Beyond that, no matter how slick Adam is, Lacey still made a firm choice to be with a guy who had a girlfriend, to be with her best friend's boyfriend, and then get engaged to him. All of this is bad enough, but Lacey goes on planning the wedding and acting as if she did nothing wrong. She had the gall to be mad that Jenna wouldn’t forgive her at first.
Overall I clearly wasn't a fan of this one. The premise seemed great, but the book itself just didn’t work for me. I didn’t at all buy into the decisions of the characters or the way things played out.

But Jenna didn’t think things were good, did she? She tells the reader that she knew Adam cheated on her in the past and she didn't do a thing about it. Beyond that, no matter how slick Adam is, Lacey still made a firm choice to be with a guy who had a girlfriend, to be with her best friend's boyfriend, and then get engaged to him. All of this is bad enough, but Lacey goes on planning the wedding and acting as if she did nothing wrong. She had the gall to be mad that Jenna wouldn’t forgive her at first.
Overall I clearly wasn't a fan of this one. The premise seemed great, but the book itself just didn’t work for me. I didn’t at all buy into the decisions of the characters or the way things played out.

Fall With Me by Julie Particka was a quick read that pulls the reader right into Jenna’s story and the heartbreak she is going through. Her boyfriend, Adam, of three years (and secret fiancé) has decided to leave her…for her best friend, Lacey. Not only has she lost her relationship but now her best friend is lost to her as well.
Jenna has decided that she is going to go home for the summer and figure out what she will do as everything she had planned, revolved around Adam. The thing she didn’t plan on was that Lacey’s brother, Sutton, would be working for her dad and someone she would have to see every day.
Sutton is back in Michigan and trying to turn his life around. When he finds out that Jenna will be working with him, he knows that he will have to fight the attraction he has always had for her. He quickly realizes he can’t but he also realizes that he needs Jenna’s help to get Adam away from Lacey.
As Sutton and Jenna come up with a plan to break up Adam and Lacey, they realize they really care about each other. Unfortunately, things come up and Sutton ends up sacrificing their relationship for the sake of his sister but doesn’t tell Jenna what the reason is and she is definitely not satisfied with the way things ended. As she makes a final effort to find out what really is going on, Jenna finds out what really happened with Lacey and Adam. In addition, she finds out why Sutton decided to let her go.
This was a quick read and I enjoyed the story as well as the characters Particka developed. If you are looking for a quick, new adult romance definitely check this one out.

I loved Sutton, and his smarta** comments, "sure I can. I always blame girls for hitting on me when they think I'm someone else. It's rude as hell." I loved Jenna, "she snatched them from my fingers and disappeared around the side of the car. "Glad you think the only parts of me that need protection are below the waist. Very male of you." Sutton his a hands on type of guy, "he spun on me and pressed me against the wall, his body angled against mine so I felt every hard inch of him. "That's the thing, Jem, I want to hear it all. I want to understand you and be there for you." Jenna is also the type to do things and not realize she's doing them, "because we're at work and you've got a look about you that says my clothes may end up in pieces if I let you keep going. Besides the inconvenience of driving home naked, and your dad could pop in here any second." I really did enjoy reading this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book and found that the characters had captured me from the every begining, yes there were little niggles that annoyed me but nothing major.
I will be sure to check out more books from this author in the near future.

Jenna's boyfriend, Adam, dumps her only to quickly become engaged to her best friend Lila. Lila's brother Sutton has secretly been into Jenna for years. Now he offers to play her boyfriend to make her ex jealous. Plus, he doesn't like the looks of his sister's fiance and hopes to break them up.
I enjoyed the first half of the book and then I got confused and didn't understand the characters' motivations.

Jenna's life was demolished when she was informed that her fiance, Adam, and get best friend, Lacey, were together. Not only did she lose the man she was about to marry, but she couldn't even get consoled by her best friend since she was the one who ripped them apart!
Now she is just trying to survive the summer at her parents until she can get a job far away from the two backstabbers.
Sadly she is reminded of Lacey everyday because she is working with her older brother, Sutton. Who Jenna has a crush on, but was rejected by him so many years ago that left her humiliated.
Sutton comes up with a plan to break his sister and Adam up, and he needs Jenna for it. But he's also hoping that his plan will end with him and Jenna together...
This was an okay novel. It was a bit hard connecting with Jenna and Sutton for the majority of the book. And they would go from being friends to lovers within seconds which kinda gave me whiplash. Jenna is full of a lot of hate and self doubt for obvious reasons but then she would do a 360 and be happy go lucky.
I figured out Lacey's secret very early on and I think Jenna might have too if she wasnt trying to avoid them. I would have wanted to know why right away so the secret could have been uncovered so much earlier.

Spoilers: The main heroine was annoying and a pushover. The brother kept trying to get her to make-up with his sister because everyone wants a best friend that betrays their trust and sleeps with their boyfriend. And the crazy part is, she goes for it. And then the main heroine actually insinuates that she wants her lover to choose between her and his family (mind you, nothing happened where it needed to be like that except for “their parents have too much control over them and they say “sir” and “ma’am””) it’s called respecting your elders. I still say sir or ma’am and I’m 22. I would maybe get it if his parents were absolutely horrible to her but they’re not. I stopped reading after that because it was just so stupid.

After being with a guy for 3 years, you would think a breakup would be in person and not a text? Sadly for Jenna it was and he left her for her best friend. Ugh so what does she do? Jenna goes home to start working for her father. Only to have her ex best friend brother Sutton pick you up and work with you. Sutton has fallen for Jenna since she was 16. The night she offered herself to him, she was drunk. He declined. Now that she's back he wants a second chance. Plus he needs her to help him break up his sister with jenna's ex. Can he prove to Jenna that he's better than her ex and try a true relationship? Or will she think he's a player? Great read.

Will he be able to convince Jenna to get revenge on her ex? Will he be able to convince her to make their pretend relationship a real relationship? Will his past catch up with him?
The surprise for me with this story was Jenna. This horrible situation happened to her, but she didn't let it define her. She could have been one of those weak, sad, vulnerable heroines, but she was stronger than that. She just wanted to get over the situation with Adam and be happy. She realizes how wrong things were with Adam, but it stings that she was a fool. Sutton was adorable and sweet. He is just one of those guys that is loyal to those he loves. He wants to be with Jenna, but he also wants to make sure his sister doesn't make a huge mistake. When you add in that Sutton and Jenna are coming together after having feelings for each other in high school, you just want to let out a satisfied sigh. The tough part for me was watching Sutton's loyalties divide and seeing how he responded. I have no idea how he made the leap from being the cake-rescuing guy to the same guy he was in Chicago. This part felt like the author was just trying to add another element to pull the couple apart. Lacey's story was interesting. At the beginning, you peg her to be a man-stealing slut. As the story progresses, you can tell there is more to this story than appears. It will be interesting if a follow-up ended up written with her story.

Falling for her best friend Lacey’s older brother was a slippery slope, but Jenna had it bad for the deliciously handsome Sutton Bell even in their teen years. That is, until Sutton turned her down flat and then years later Jenna’s fiancé Adam left her for none other than Lacey. Seemed like the Bell siblings were out to make her life a living hell, but things weren’t quite as they seemed in this strange and tangled web!
I wasn’t sure what to make of this situation when it started to play out, because normally I would automatically be a BFF hater after what Lacey did. Jenna had been tossed aside like yesterday’s garbage, and Lacey wasn’t behaving like a woman who felt terrible for ripping her friend’s heart out. So, I was pretty certain Lacey and Adam deserved each other and neither was good enough to be in Jenna’s life! In waltzes Sutton, smooth and ready to finally act out the fantasies he’s had of getting up close and personal to the beautiful girl he’d had to turn down all those years ago. He was the good guy, the protective brother and the man who would do anything to not hurt Jenna again. But he was stuck in a lose-lose situation, with Lacey completely in the wrong but still the sister he loved. I felt for the guy, but ugh it was hard to support anything pro-Lacey for most of this story!!
Jenna, now she was a tough cookie. She had rightfully written Lacey off and certainly wasn’t in favor of starting up something with Sutton given the familial ties. Sure, she wanted him and had dreamt of being his since she was in high school, but talk about awkward! She tried to fight the attraction and the already present chemistry, and there was plenty of sexy/funny banter between these two as they did their song and dance. They were cute together and had me smiling as they tossed clever remarks back and forth while trying not to cave from all the lusty thoughts. And when they did give in, it was definitely a fiery combination!
As Sutton and Jenna worked together to prove just what a piece of work the cheating ass Adam is, they butted heads as much as they kissed and made up. Sutton walked a very fine line, and every move he made was potential to blow up either his relationship with his sister or his chances with Jenna. There was the usual hemming and hawing about whether or not to make their relationship something more permanent, and of course there was a bit of heartache tossed in for good measure. Overall, I really enjoyed these characters even though their story wasn’t something entirely new and different. Fall With Me is a quick, fun, and sexy read, and it gets a thumbs up from me!

This book was... Um. I can't even really explain how I feel about it. The one thing I was afraid of, happened in this book. The plot was everything I try to stay away from: disloyalty, infidelity, and second choices. The actions of the characters really made me want to go but Shit crazy. And this book was strangely.... Maternal. Not really anticipated.
The plot was interesting, and I only finished it because I can't not finish a book. But everything that happened in this book was honestly my worst nightmare. I wanted to beat up a lot of the characters, girl or not, for the God damn idiotic and horrible choices they made. Lacey and Adam just made my blood boil and make me cringe. Sutton was mush at his sisters, the cheater, feet. And Jenna was just so damn easy. She forgives and forgets. Which I guess is good, but considering the circumstances, it made me keep my mouth open for a good five minutes.
The only. Person I did end up liking and wanting to high five was Sutton and Lacey's mother. She was straight up and she gave the advice and pep talk I have been screaming at Everyone in this book.

One other thing, it moved way too quickly. For someone who was cheated on, Jenna moved awfully fast and it didn't take long. Nome of the characters well developed in this book and it was all moving in fast paced.

After dating for 3 years, Adam asks Jenna to marry him and she accepts even with no ring and a plan to keep the engagement a secret. Shortly after, Adam breaks up with Jenna for her best friend, Lacey. Now a college graduate with her future plans down the drain, she heads home to work with her dad's construction company until she finds a job. What she doesn't expect is that Lacey's brother, Sutton, is also back in town and working for her father. Jenna had a crush on Sutton when she was in high school, but he rejected her when he didn't reject anybody else and it became clear that he didn't feel the same. Now that she has found out how big of a backstabber Lacey is, she is done with that whole family. Sutton has a plan, though, and needs Jenna's help. Sutton knows that Adam is not the guy for Lacey. He's figured out how possessive and secretive the guy is and he can tell that Lacey doesn't really love him. If he can convince Jenna to pretend they are in a relationship, he knows Adam will lose it. Men like Adam don't let other people play with their toys and he definitely looks at both of these girls as his. He just wants to catch Adam in the act and convince his sister to leave him. He's also hoping that while they are pretending to be a couple, he can convince Jenna that they should be a real couple. He's had a thing for her since they were younger and it was very hard for him to push her away when came on to him when she was a teenager, but she was drunk and underage. Sutton hasn't been a saint since then. While living in Chicago after graduation, he used sex as a coping mechanism....and he needed to cope a lot. Will he be able to convince Jenna to get revenge on her ex? Will he be able to convince her to make their pretend relationship a real relationship? Will his past catch up with him?
The surprise for me with this story was Jenna. This horrible situation happened to her, but she didn't let it define her. She could have been one of those weak, sad, vulnerable heroines, but she was stronger than that. She just wanted to get over the situation with Adam and be happy. She realizes how wrong things were with Adam, but it stings that she was a fool. Sutton was adorable and sweet. He is just one of those guys that is loyal to those he loves. He wants to be with Jenna, but he also wants to make sure his sister doesn't make a huge mistake. When you add in that Sutton and Jenna are coming together after having feelings for each other in high school, you just want to let out a satisfied sigh. The tough part for me was watching Sutton's loyalties divide and seeing how he responded. I have no idea how he made the leap from being the cake-rescuing guy to the same guy he was in Chicago. This part felt like the author was just trying to add another element to pull the couple apart. Lacey's story was interesting. At the beginning, you peg her to be a man-stealing slut. As the story progresses, you can tell there is more to this story than appears. It will be interesting if a follow-up ended up written with her story.

This is definitely a story of betrayal and forgiveness, a whirlwind of emotions between friends who have known each other since they were young. I was intrigued to see the fallout and hopefully someone was going to make the right decision.
Fall with Me follows Jenna who was once engaged with her boyfriend of three years. But after a sudden break up and discovering that her best friend Lacey had been cheating with Jenna boyfriend, she couldn’t trust anyone. She wanted nothing to do with them and sadly her best friend seems to think everything is okay. Luckily Jenna has an ally in Lacey’s older brother Sutton who hates Jenna’s ex Adam with his sister. Together Jenna and Sutton make a plan to see why Lacey is really with Adam and if Adam even wants to be with Lacey.
Jenna is one tough cookie; I think she actually handled everything really well. Yes, she is angry and I too would not even care to talk to Lacey after what she did. Jenna goes through a lot of ups and downs throughout the book, not sure if she can handle the fact her best friend is now going to marry her ex so suddenly, and that her best friends brother is showing interest in a relationship with her. But I liked the pace of Sutton and Jenna learning about one and other, even though they have known each other as kids they didn’t have the closeness they are learning now. In the end Jenna was more forgiving then I felt she should be with both Sutton and Lacey.
Sutton is the boy that was Jenna’s crush, she once shared a moment with him but he turned her away. However he was being a gentleman because she was drunk, Jenna thought differently. Now he’s faced with coming out and telling Jenna how he feels while also trying to get his sister to not make the biggest mistake of her life. Sutton is also dealing with his troubled past and recklessness that he isn’t sure if Jenna can handle.
In the end I enjoyed the pace, romance and dynamic between the two fenemies Jenna and Lacey. Frankly so many things could have been handled better by Lacey if she had just told Jenna everything from the beginning. But obviously Lacey isn’t mature enough to come out and tell anyone anything. I actually was hoping Jenna never forgave Lacey, even though some “things” were revealed, I wasn’t liking her character. The strongest part of this story was the romance and friendship between Sutton and Jenna. I adored these two together and was so happy both of them found some happiness after going through so much. Overall this was a nice quick read with some steamy romance and forgiveness.
RECOMMENDATION:
This is a young adult novel with some sexual content suited for a mature reader of 18 and over. Fans of Wait for You by J. Lynn and Easy by Tammara Webber will enjoy Fall with Me by Julie Particka.

I have want to read this book the first time that I’ve seen the cover. It was like love at first sight. Me and pretty covers. God, I’m like a kid that like’s and wants to much chocolate.
I kinda read the description too because I was so intrigue about the cover and I want it a sneak peak about the book. And that was it. I knew that I have to read this book pronto.
But I have to say that I was a little disappointed. Not much. Just a little. I did want something different and new and funny and humor and love. And it has it all. But the action was a little boring and lame.
Anyway let’s talk about the things that I’ve liked this book. Well, it has pretty, handsome boy. Sutton it is like the perfect damaged guy. He was that guy who switch girl like socks and never care about them. But know he is that guy who grow up and he’s thinking seriously about his life. He’s so great and kind, and handsome, sweet and funny. He’s like the perfect guy.
And then he meets Jenna. Or Jem. I like more Jem. :) She has been always in love with him, or have a crush, but nothing happened between them. Now she is back in town, but she is hurt and with all her barriers and walls up. She that kind of girl that never in her life demand something or fight for it. Until Sutton. And I’m glad that she finally takes that chance.
The chemistry between them it’s so lovely, and puts a big smile on your face. I like that first of all they are friends and the lovers. It’s making this all relationship more great and true. I is like the author tells about two people that actually exists.
So like I sad, the only thing that bothered me in this book was that slowly and boring action. In rest, everything was perfect for a quick reading summer. :) So you guys, have to try this. And maybe you will love it more then I do.

Fall With Me was a book that I was extremely excited to hear about. I was in the mood for a fun, romantic read and this sounded like a perfect fit. While it is both fun and romantic, it is not exactly what I had been expecting. After reading the blurb, I was looking forward to watching Sutton and Jenna work the plan they made together. However, there was less of that and more unnecessary drama between Sutton and Jenna.
First off, I really liked the relationship between Sutton and Jenna at the start of the book. They were cute and funny and I enjoyed the banter between them. I liked seeing the way they began to work together and trust each other. However, I often felt like they were the causes of all of their problems. I didn't understand the logic they used when making decisions. I could see so obviously that the choices they were making would not lead to good things but they were blind to it. They made more drama than was believable. Also, I felt like we didn't get to know them all that well because they had previously known each other before getting together so there was no period of time where they were discovering each other so we never were able to discover them, either.
The plot was fun and pretty fast but it wasn't what I had been expecting. I was really looking forward to watching the plan Sutton and Jenna had devised unfold throughout the novel. However, the execution lasted only two days and there was hardly anything involved with it. Rather than being the driving force of the plot, it was just a tool used to bring Jenna and Sutton together. The rest was just sort of them muddling through their relationship and making problems that were easily avoidable.
Toward the end, I really didn't even know what was going on. Sutton's logic for the things he did was absolutely horrible and so completely unbelievable that I couldn't even pretend that I understood them. Again, just the conflicts and the logic they used to progress the plot were unbelievable and hard to follow.
Despite my obvious problems with Fall With Me, I did actually enjoy reading it quite a lot. I began reading and absolutely could not put it down. This is a novel that, while I probably won't go back to it, I was happy I had the chance to read.

Fall with Me was an enjoyable read. It is a fairly short book, at around 200 pages so you can easily read it in one sitting. There were many cute scenes. I loved the dates that Jenna and Sutton went on. The paint-balling date was great. I loved the dynamic between the two of them. Even when they were "pretending" for the sake of their revenge it seemed so real to me.
I felt so bad for Jenna. I can't imagine having a friend or a boyfriend that would do that to me. For me, the whole story was about the romance between Jenna and Sutton. To be honest, I didn't care much about jerk ex-bf or jerk bff. Anyone that would treat me that way is not cool in my book. So I was fine with whatever revenge they wanted to get. And watching them fall for each other along the way was just icing on the cake.
I will admit that I did see the Lacey thing coming a mile away, but even with her explanation, I found it hard to forgive her. And her ex boyfriend is the biggest jerk-wad on the planet. Holy cow. I wanted to punch him so bad. Pretty much any time he was in a scene. Sutton is so different than him. I thought it was crazy that he was even considering that they were similar. At All! Yes, ok Sutton slept with a bunch of girls in Chicago and had more than a few one night stands, but that is completely different than constantly cheating on your girlfriends. Sutton is adorable and loyal and so thoughtful. I felt bad that he was so down on himself. It was clear that he is smitten with Jenna, and I was a bit smitten with him too. I loved that his mom was the one to set him straight at one point as well. It was great.
Fall With Me is not only a lovely romance, but it is also a sort of liberation of Jenna. It was great to see her become herself again throughout the course of the story. She was so upset at the start, but throughout the book she was described as spunky and strong in her past, and by the end of the book I was really happy to say that I saw her become that strong young woman again. Her character development was just as much of a star of the story as was the romance between Jenna and Sutton. While I could have done without the focus on the jerky ex, I did really love Jenna and Sutton.

Fall With Me is a book which story has been turned into a dozen movies already. Girl's boyfriend cheats with the girl's best friend, girl hates both, girl flls for ex-best friend's brother, he convinces the girl to forgive. In order to be different from those movies, your book has to be something special.
At first I thought Julie created something awesome here. I'm not saying she didn't. She can be proud of her work. It just didn't do it for me. Onc Jenna and Sutton figured there was chemistry between them (happen pretty fast), the book lost its appeal.
Taking revenge on your ex seems childish. Wanting to protect your sister isn't, but Sutton did this the wrong way.
I'm keeping the review short. I'm sorry it didn't blow me away like I hoped it would. This has absolutely nothing to do with the author or her writing. The writing was pretty good actually. I also don't regret reading it or thnk of it as a waste of time. No. Maybe if there was a prequel to it, I would have enjoyed it more. I don't know.
Recommending this to New Adult readers, wanting to try some New Adult meets Adult fiction.

4.5 Stars for Fall with Me!
Jenna has the heart of gold that every girl envies, wants to say they have, but could never bring themselves to actually be that saintly. At least, that's how it is for me. If my fiance dumped me through a text to go be with my best friend AND MARRY HER, I wouldn't be trying to save my once best friend from making the mistake of her life.
But I also probably wouldn't have the dreamy hunk, the best friend's brother, Sutton, trying to convince me to be the better person. That might help turn my heart more toward good.
Jenna thought she had her life planned out with Adam, but then he smashes all of those fantasies with one simple text; he loves her, but not enough. Then Lacey follows that up with an apology. Yes, like this whole incident can be cured with an apologize text and all is forgiven. Nope. Not happening.
Jenna has to return home from college to work for her father and along side Sutton. Little does she know, what she thought was the end of the world is actually the beginning of a life-altering revenge scheme.
Sutton always loved Jenna, but the mistakes from his past have her not reciprocating the way he wants her to. Sutton being a past playboy with everyone except for Jenna when they were in high school. She doesn't believe that he finds her attractive and he must find a way to prove that otherwise.
Lacey is making a huge mistake in agreeing to marry Adam and Sutton makes it his mission to break up their engagement in order to save his sister, but his plan involves putting Jenna back in the realm of Adam and his conniving ways.
Can Sutton go through with their plan of revenge on Adam and salvation of Lacey? Does Jenna have enough in her heart to be close to Adam again for the sake of Lacey? Will Sutton and Jenna survive or will Sutton pick his sister over the love of his life?
I truly enjoyed the sass and spunk of Jenna as well as her good-nature and desire for Sutton. You don't usually see the playboy no longer the playboy before the girl comes back into the picture, but it was refreshing to see that Sutton had made the change on his own and just needed to prove it.
Well written with twists I never saw coming. This book deserves to be read again!
