Sorpresas, dramones, amorcito y risas. Me encanta.

Even though I more or less knew what the truth between the brothers was, seeing it laid out on the page was somehow more shocking. The levels of drama in this series are off the charts, but somehow still not ludicrously melodramatic.
"All I am saying is, when a couple decides to face each other they need to strip down completely and show they have nothing to hide. . . . In short, take the underwear off your heart."
Wow! This was a slightly triggering volume compared to the previous volumes!
While the beginning had me squealing because ROMANTIC DEVELOPMENT, the last half/quarter had me on the edge of my seat and my heart breaking in two! Not only that though, I feel SO much anger towards the parents because while I get being a parent is hard (I'm one too), why in the world would they think the aftermath of how everything was "okay"?! To let it go on because it was "easy" and maybe less painful?? So many lies told or encouraged that resulted in more heartache!
I can honestly say I am shocked that Youngjun doesn't have resentment towards his parents for everything he went through. The things they ALLOWED to happen simply because they didn't want things to get worse, but in turn, made it seem like his REAL story didn't matter. He truly raised himself up by becoming the strongest man he could be, which is incredible…but it's that very thought that carried him since he was nine years old that also makes me incredibly sad.
The ending was definitely a cliffhanger and I wonder what is going to happen next! EVERYTHING is out in the open, with the truth FINALLY being revealed and/or realized. I would say because of that, Mr. Park's conversation with Youngjun about "taking the underwear off your heart" was especially meaningful. I hope Youngjun realizes how amazing of a friend he has and that genuine healing can take place in his heart AND Miso's heart too.
"It takes different forms, but everyone struggles. You're not the only one who has it hard."
Trigger Warning: Kidnapping and Suicide What's Wrong with Secretary Kim follows Kim Miso who is the secretary to Lee Youngjun, the CEO of a company. When Miso decides to quit to start living her life, Youngjun ends up in a spiral and will do anything to keep Miso with him as his secretary. Please make sure to be aware of the triggers in this manhwa as this was a rougher volume to read as there is a lot that happens. I love this series so much and the way this handles all of the difficult topics it talks about is so interesting. We finally find out more about what happened to Miso and hte mysterious boy when she was a child along with her fear of spiders. I feel like this volume really demonstrates Miso growing closer to Youngjun as they start to open up to each other. I do need Youngjun's brother to step off though because he's becoming a nuisance. The way this volume needed has me so ready for the next volume because I need to know what's going to happen next. I would highly recommend this manhwa as I love the story and the art in this manhwa is just gorgeous.
I thought I couldn’t hate his brother even more but that man has an uncanny ability to be completely and utterly detestable. So good for him I guess.
This was definitely the darkest installment so far and although I have already seen the drama so I knew the full story it still was so horrifying to read. I’m glad there were some good romantic scenes to balance it out.
I can’t wait for the next installment so that I can add more reasons to fuel my hatred for the brother.
The big reveal about the childhood kidnapping of the protagonist plays out in its oh-so-predictable and very cheesy manner.
I'm not sure how it's going to take two more volumes to wrap up this very obvious tale, but I'm enjoying my time with the lead characters so I'm not going to complain. And I have them on hand from the library right now, so I'll be finishing this weekend.
Well, that got dark fast. At the beginning of this series, I wanted to strangle Youngjun and then I get to this part, and holyyy crap…let me hug him!!!! Let him cry on my shoulder!!!! He was that brave at just 9 years old. My heart hurts so much for him.
103/2022 ¿Qué le pasa a la secretaria Kim? Volumen 4. Kim Myeongmi y Jeong Gyeong Yum. Traducido por Marta Sánchez. Kitsune Manga.
4.5 💫 We got a good background information on what happened. Love this. Still holding tight on trying to read them before I watch it. ( I feel myself slipping. )
In Summary Even though YoungJun’s hot brother has his sights on Miso, things haven’t headed into love triangle territory. Rather, Miso grows closer to YoungJun – to the point where things start getting steamy between the two. Then everything slams to a halt when the truth behind the kidnapping is revealed. Pretty much all the mysteries get resolved, but our characters’ responses to these revelations remain to be shown.
The Review Miso has reunited with the boy from her past. Or has she? She and SungYeon meet up to piece the details of the kidnapping incident. However, the more they talk, the more SungYeon’s account doesn’t add up. He’s also strangely fixated on making Miso his, though she’s not the least interested. On the contrary, her relationship with YoungJun only progresses further and faster.
Despite the darker issues surrounding the kidnapping incident, this is a romcom, and those passionate moments get tripped up by bouts of sleepiness and misplaced tablets. Even so, their romance gets to a point that those around them take notice. It’s impossible for Mr. Park to know the exact details of what’s happening between the couple, but his “underwear” heart-to-heart with YoungJun is well-timed advice, plus it’s hilarious.
Then the truth spews out in the second half of the volume. Mrs. Lee finally tells SungYeon what actually happened in the past. Shortly afterward, a triggering incident unlocks Miso’s memories. We see the kidnapping as it unfolds from Miso’s then YoungJun’s perspectives. These chapters clarify it all – everyone’s various phobias, the conflict between the Lee brothers, the gaps in SungYeon’s recollections, YoungJun’s scars.
But while the kidnapping and its aftermath do provide a rationale for the current state of events, certain elements may have you raising your eyebrows. When I watched the What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? TV adaption, I found the explanation of SungYeon’s guilty conscience rewriting events difficult to swallow; having read the manhwa, I still feel the same about that aspect of the story. The manhwa does do a better job of portraying the family instability that leads to YoungJun “losing” his own memories and the decades-long farce that follows. However, the part where YoungJun gets his original name changed because it sounded too much like his brother’s doesn’t make much sense to me.
Anyway, now that the past has been clarified, we can look forward to seeing how it affects everyone’s present!

Volume moooolto interessante.
