The search for Honey’s sire has finally heated up again, and Sadie and Honey have a foolproof track that sucker down so Honey can kill him and go back to her normal human life.

Okay read!
This book #3 was between okay and at times bloody entertaining plotline. Don't know if this is the finale for 'Honeybloods' vampire series but felt like there's more to be told. Go Sadie & Honey!

This book was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, and the introduction of new characters was very well done. The road trip was also quite entertaining.

Honey and Sadie receive a tip about the bassist's location and embark on a road trip during spring break. However, their journey is not as straightforward as they had hoped, as they encounter challenges in their quest to restore Honey's humanity.

The road trip is filled with entertaining moments, and I refrain from providing detailed spoilers to preserve the enjoyment for potential readers. Overall, it is a captivating book.

I sincerely hope that there will be a fourth book in this series, as I am deeply invested in the story of Honey and Sadie. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a heartwarming young adult romance with a vampire twist. If you haven't already done so, I kindly recommend that you read Honeyblood's first book.

Firstly, huge thanks to I.S. Belle for giving me an ARC of this book!

Honeycraves is a lovely finale to the Honeybloods trilogy, and I appreciate Belle holding true to her promise of NO DEAD LESBIANS! (Maybe just undead, which, you know, fine by me!) Honey and Sadie are as endearing as they were in the previous two books, and I especially enjoyed Sadie trying to endear herself to their unwelcome tagalong and what felt like a subtle but well done analogy between her vampirism and mental health struggles..."It doesn’t go away. It just gets less," and "it can be a good life...really," were two lines that particularly hit home.

My only nitpick would be that the pacing felt a bit quick, but I think that's par for the course with a novella. Belle wrapped up Honey and Sadie's story nicely, sticking well within the limits she'd set up in this universe and yet still giving our girls a happy (though not overly easy!) ending :)

*This review contains minor spoilers and suggestions* Honeycraves maintains the funky horror vibe that all of I. S. Belle’s Zombverse (Zombabe+Universe, it’s a WIP) books have. However, it does have some drawbacks. For one, the relationship between our lovable protagonists and the “unwelcome tag-along” felt a bit rushed, as the aforementioned tag-along made serious decisions for two gals he barely knew. However, the oddity of this is mentioned in the story itself. For two, the book felt too short, like some descriptions and scenes were in and then immediately out, which was definitely unfortunate and kind of mitigated the potential mark the more emotional scenes could have left. Those scenes still packed a hefty punch though. Now for some positives, which this book has a *lot* of, so I won’t mention all of them. The girls’ relationship and banter was unique and charming, their contrast bringing a chemistry that I’m sure most readers enjoy. The tension between them due to certain secrets was very much present and the discomfort was tangible. The whole bitter situation brought conflict, conflict which strengthened the girls’ bond. The presence of characters from the Zombabe universe feels perfect, not overreliant on fanservice, and not entirely ignorant of the relevant characters, which is something a lot of cinematic universes could learn. I have much more to say but I have definitely talked enough. TL;DR, good sh!t and you should read the entire series.

First review? Cool!

I loved this, just like the previous two novellas. This is a super fun read that goes far too quickly. I love these two characters, their dynamic, the way they support each other, and their banter that makes me easily believe that they have been friends forever. I love how Honey is the only person/thing that can calm down Sadie when she is going on a rampage. The writing is excellent, fun, and the whole package is a thrill ride.

I wish it was longer! Each novella (and the whole series so far) is way too short! I wish there was more detail, more scenes with the characters just interacting and living in their world. I want moooooore! There were a lot of themes introduced that were barely explored on-page, such as how they were hiding their relationship, Sadie's relationship with her dad, their uncertainty regarding their plans after graduation, etc. This is of course, a good complaint to have as it means that I liked what we had and simply want more. If these novellas were re-written into full novels I would devour them.

If I'm complaining, I didn't need another plotline based around a vampire hunter; we did that in the previous novel. It was still good, I liked the dynamic between the three of them, but it wouldn't be my first choice. There are SO many elements to this story that could be explored and so many sources of internal conflict that could be developed, that we didn't need the external element of a vampire hunter. I love the protagonists, and wish we had more time with them without the roller-coaster of a plotline. Still loved it though!

Thank you to the author for providing a free ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Murder Road Trip 101:
Thermoses of blood ✅
Trusty sharp ax ✅
Magic guitar ✅

📖 Dual POV, third limited, past tense

✨ Synopsis:
Sadie and Honey, secret vampires and secret girlfriends, flee their small town and embark on another murder road trip to track down Honey’s sire. Unfortunately, danger comes along for the ride.

✨ Review:
I thoroughly enjoyed Honeycraves, the third book in the Honeybloods series. This series is giving me life. (If you haven’t read the first two, you’ll want to read those first).

It feels fitting that Sadie and Honey finish the trilogy off with another murder road trip. I love the complications brought up by Alexander White (a baby vampire hunter who’s determined to prove himself).

Sadie and Honey get up to their usual shenanigans, and I just can’t get enough of them. Every Gilmore Girls reference brings joy.

I loved the way things wrapped up. It was different than I was expecting but feels right.

This is the end of the trilogy, but I hope HOPE Hope we get more (even just a short story) because I’d love to check in with these babes a few years down the line.

Can’t wait to read more from I.S. Belle (I’m currently eyeing her Zombabe and Babylove series.

this book is fun and fast paced, which i enjoy, but i do wish it was a tad bit longer. unlike the other two novellas i feel like this one might be the shortest? and it probably should’ve been the longest, or close to it. i wish we had spent more time with alexander and rosaline, getting to know them a little more, or just having longer scenes in general. it felt a little rushed throughout but still enjoyable. sadie and honey are extremely fun to read about, and i would gladly read several more books about them. i look forward to her next m/m vampire series!

thank you to i.s. belle for sending me an arc to review

3.5

Of the three in this series, Honeycraves is definitely the weakest. The plot had potential but it felt way too rushed, especially the climax point. And because it was so rushed, it wasn't memorable for me at all. We also had two new, important, characters introduced, only for them to fade into the background and we don't learn much about them, either. It's left fairly open-ended so it feels as if there's potential for more, but it also leaves me with too many questions, especially regarding those two characters.

~~ buddy read review (with Bri 🩵) ~~

We really enjoyed this series and are a little sad that it is over. We wish there was more to it because the ending is a bit ambiguous and isn't a clear happy ever after.

We love Sadie and Honey. The banter and snark in their relationship was really cute. We appreciated the opposite ends of the spectrum that Sadie and Honey represented, the misfit and the golden girl. Sadie struggled quite a bit more with the transition from human to vampire. We loved how supportive Honey is during the rough spots for Sadie.

We loved the Roadtrip and the mayhem that ensued, as expected from two teenage vampires on the hunt for a sire with their unexpected bestie tagging along. We had a lot of really funny moments between the girls and Alex. It brought a little levity to an otherwise dark book.

did this book feel both rushed and drawn out with a completely absurd road trip aspect that seemed to make little sense in the universe? yes.

did i still shed a tear at the heartfelt ending? also yes.

". . .looking at Honey always brought her back to herself." - Sadie

One more road trip. Just one more road trip needed to catch Honey's sire and end the vampirism! But what does this mean for Sadie? Since Honey was the one who changed her.

The HUNGER has not calmed down like it did for Honey! Sadie's trying not to just eat her entire senior class, even if some individuals would deserve it. Honey has future plans, and Sadie fears she may not be able to stand next to her girlfriend. The two will have to make some compromises and have serious talks. All while trying to have a fun spring-break-murder-road-trip, find Honey's sire and end him, and deal with an unwanted tag along!

"“This is the most important week of your lives, and you want to go see gay magnets,” Alexander said slowly."

Sometimes you put off reading and reviewing because you just don't want a series to end. This is that series! I love my girls and how the author took a couple looks at "Jennifer's Body" and was like hold my drink! Creating the gay ending we all wanted!

I admired the fact that Sadie and Honey are both vampires but with major differences! Sadie has that HUNGER that just isn't going away or easing up. Something Sadie says later in the book about how her hunger relates to other things in her life broke my heart and made a lot of sense. You worry about her throughout the book and if Sadie will have a good ending. Ugh, the emotions! The two struggling with future plans after HS graduation and if they will be together.

Honey is still my favorite Queen Bee FMC! Her humor and contagious energy are fantastic, and I love how the sourpuss MMC can't help but get dragged in. Honey showing just how big of a heart she has and the love she feels toward Sadie is so nice. Honey's lines made me laugh a lot:

“I gotta go. I have to rip out a deer’s throat and bleed it into a Hello Kitty thermos.” - Honey

The mixture of violence and romance all in one and it works for Honey. She's just trying to take care of her bloodthirsty bestie/lover!

This series is YA horror, and it deals with baby vampires who've had no mentors or guides. Stupid Google for not helping to provide all the tutorials on how to be a proper vamp! There's violence, gore, and a lot of blood. Feeding from humans and animals to maintain the hunger and helping to heal after some intense events. Language is present in the book along with feelings of overwhelming dread and that this will be it for a certain FMC. Check CWs.

YA genre so romance and intimate moments stayed within that bracket. The two are opposites of one another helping to balance each other. I enjoyed the banter between them and the development of their relationship. I laughed at a certain line beginning a chapter toward the end of the book, the line having been used frequently, with minor changes, throughout the series! Dual POVs showing just how the other felt about things. The final scene in the park was so good and I laughed hard at the dialogue exchanged between the two!

HEA for our girls! I will miss them, but I think they will be showing up in future series to come! Along with a couple other characters that were introduced in this final installment. Alexander being one I loved a lot and enjoyed watching his heavily guarded walls get broken down by sunshine Honey. I really hope to see him in a future series or maybe staring in his own! Either way I cannot wait for more!

Enjoy the murder road trip with ex-best-friends turned baby vamps! And don't forget to give the author some stars!

Honeycraves is the third and final(?) book in the Honeybloods series, a trilogy of YA vampire novellas that follows Honey Williams after she is accidentally turned into a vampire following a bad interaction with a rock band.

I have had a really good time reading this series and there is something really bittersweet to know that my time with these books has come to an end. The first book in the series, Honeybloods, was a beautiful friends-to-lovers story as we followed Honey and her childhood best friend, Sadie, on a road trip across America as Honey tried to reverse her vampirism. There was something so wholesome about these two characters who had been so close as friends mending the rifts caused by time and discovering that there was more than just friendship between them. They were also very comfortable in their queer identities which is something that I find I am increasingly more drawn to as opposed to stories where characters are coming out; don't get me wrong, there is a place and a need for both kinds of stories but I find that I am a lot more looking for queer joy in my reading.

By the point that we arrived at Honeycraves, Sadie is also a vampire and both of the girls are having to try to avoid the attentions of vampire hunters whilst they search for a way to reverse their vampirism. Here is the conundrum that they are faced with: the only known way for a vampire to regain their humanity is for them to kill their sire however Sadie was sired by Honey so how can she possibly regain her humanity? To add to the complexity of the situation, Sadie is racked with an insatiable bloodlust that makes trying to blend into human society a challenge.

The intrigue whilst reading Honeycraves was very high because there was no apparent solution to what they were facing. In addition to this, Honey and Sadie meet a few new faces which creates further points of intrigue throughout the story. I do wish that we had gotten a little bit more of an ending, perhaps an epilogue because this is a series that delivers an HFN as opposed to a clean HEA. There is a very definite sense that the character are happy at the end but I felt as though I was left with slightly more questions than I normally would at the end of a series.

Based on the amount of trailing threads in this story, I think this isn't the last that we will see of all of the characters in this book even if Honey and Sadie's story is over. Personally, I am very happy with the prospects of more vampire stories from Belle and wonder if her teased upcoming MM series is set in the same universe...

Honeycraves is the third and possibly final instalment of the Honeyblood series and it was an okay read. There isn’t anything particularly special about it but it is fun and I do like the characters.

I did enjoy the entire Honeybites series, but the three novellas should have been just one book. The first instalment stands well on its own and I do think Honeycraves was almost on that level, but the whole story felt extremely rushed. I would have loved more of what happens after the road trip and just more of the road trip in general. There was a lot more to be explored in Honeycraves that would have made this a real solid read. Unfortunately, this was the shortest of the series so it left a lot to be desired.

This really did feel like I took a short break from reading the second book and then jumped back into it again. Does that make sense? Obviously this is a continuation, but I mean it felt like the exact same book. Sadie is still struggling with her hunger and this is something that doesn’t change throughout both books. I almost forgot that Sadie became a vampire at the end of book one.

The abilities of the vampires also got a little boring. I found them really fun at first as it was a mix of modern day media and old folklore. But it felt like they were just going through the motions rather than taking advantage of their cool powers.

I think if you’re reading books purely for enjoyment, not to analyse them, you’ll really enjoy the entire Honeybloods series. They’re highly entertaining and the characters are fairly interesting. The dialogue can be a little cringeworthy at times though.

Honeycraves is a YA Paranormal novella, book three in a series, and it is absolutely amazing.

{Honey and Sadie are spending spring break on another murder road trip as they hunt down Honey’s sire.}

Ugh I read this book soooo slowly because I didn’t want it to end. I love Sadie and Honey so much. I adore them as individuals and as a couple. It’s clear how deeply they care for one another. How well they know each other. And how they only want the best for one another.

I didn’t expect to grow attached to the new character that tagged along on this murder road trip (I’ll never get tired of reading about murder road trips 😅) but I did. It can be hard to introduce new characters into a series, but the author does it flawlessly.

I loved the humor mixed in with the heavier emotional struggles and gore (this is a vampire book after all). Honey and Sadie’s banter is my favorite.

And I will admit, I was worried about how this book would end. Without spoiling anything, I didn’t think it was possible to have a happy ending that I’d find satisfying, but boy was I wrong. I loved this whole series and I wish I could have a hundred more books with these two as main characters.

That’s not too much to ask for is it I.S. Belle?? Because this is me officially begging for a new follow up trilogy that will show us what Honey and Sadie are up to a couple years from now. I’ll even love if our new tag along had their own book (but please let Honey and Sadie make a cameo 😅).

That’s it. Please read this series. It’s absolute perfection!

Thank you to I.S Belle for sending me my review copy!

2.75 stars

I was very excited to see what would happen next to Sadie and Honey. However, I think that this one may be my least favourite out of the whole trilogy. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed this.

By now, I am very familiar with how Belle writes these girls and in this world. I adore how camp I find them and their shenanigans.

I just found myself coming away from this wishing there was more to this. I felt like it could have been longer given how most of the plot was a roadtrip and that there could have been more time with the girls given how it ended as I love seeing them interact with each other so much.

(I think really what I want is more from the girls and their relationship and I felt like there could have been so much more and the ending felt to me that it was slightly rushed and not as satisfying as it could be.)

This took me forever to finish cause I just wasn’t in the mood to pick it back up between other reads and the introduction of a certain third wheel. I’m not a big fan of that new character but also everything about them makes sense based on what we’re given so it completely makes sense.. if that makes sense?

Anyway, I will say that this one felt a little rushed in the middle. Like.. we didn’t get a lot of time from point A to B like we did in the first two books. I wanted more development of some things but I think it’s mostly because I’m so invested with these characters.

I really want one more book but I don’t think we’ll get that probably. Maybe Honey or Sadie might get a camo in something else though like how others have been brought in from other stories! That would be cool. Always love multiple stories in the same universe. 8/10 only cause the rush and wanting more but still recommend.

Listen, I LOVE Honey and Sadie. I have been following I.S Belle's work since her debut, and the stories are always a fun time. I am not going to give an in-depth critical analysis of these books because they are exactly what they are supposed to be: fun, campy, and gay. I clearly had a great time because I read it in one sitting.

I don't think the vampire slayer storyline was a bad thing - I think it left a lot of room for more potential stories. This book did, however, feel more rushed than the others.

If there was one thing I could have from this book, it would be more Rosaline. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the ending... but mostly, I enjoyed not knowing HOW it would end. I liked being worried for the girls and not knowing if they would succeed.

All in all great job. I can't wait to see what happens next.

And just like that, Sadie and Honey rediscover the joys of roadtrips.

The 3rd book in the series really lived up to the rest of the series for me. I think there's such a good balance of gore and just unfiltered teenage love here, that just makes everything about the humor of these books a 10/10 experience for me. Bring on the horror and the laughs.

I'm also just in general a big, big fan of lgbtqia+ rep, even more so when the representation is so obviously done well.

I just cannot get enough of Sadie and Honey, I find them so cute and relatable. And they just get better as the series progresses.

Will recommend this series to anyone who's intrigued by the idea of really cute sapphic high school relationship and the occasional murderous rampage.

It can be hard to stick the ending, but the conclusion to the Honeybites series was satisfying and kept me guessing until the end. Hands down my favorite vampire series (which is saying a lot because I’m a vampire enthusiast). I love fun horror! I especially enjoyed Sadie’s struggles with her blood lust and Honey and Sadie’s devotion to one another. Alexander was an interesting addition and complication.

Keeping my fingers crossed that at some point we get a follow up short story about Honey and Sadie.

I received this Ebook as an ARC from the author.

Honeycraves is the third and final novella in the Honeybloods series and follows Honey and Sadie on one last adventure during spring break of their senior year.

I absolutely loved this final installment of Honey and Sadie’s lives. Once again, this book is filled with references to Jennifer’s Body and the story is as original as it is heartfelt! The end was bittersweet, mostly because I’m sad that Sadie and Honey’s story has come to a close, but the whole trilogy is worth the read, and Honey and Sadie’s relationship feels real and authentic, with love and banter that is to die for!

The final installment of this teenage vampire story is all kinds of angst and uwu.
IS Belle moves from zombies to vampires with an ease and surety that is absolutely delightful. Now that her world has expanded beyond Bulldeen, we see so much of what a warm, paranormal horror can be like. There's an ease with which this novel addresses some very serious concerns of growing up as a teenager. Belle is a lovely mentor to have, whether you're a teenager, identify as outside the heteronormative, or just looking for life to feel better!!
Honeycraves picks up with Sadie and Honey finally coming to terms with what growing up means. And how to come to terms with growing apart, becoming your own person and needing to find your space in the world.

HAPPY PUB DAY!!!
It was an honour and a privilege to read an ARC for "Honeycraves". The third book in I.S. Belles Honeybloods series.

Y'all know I love I.S. Belles writing and I've read pretty much all her works. I always wish her Novellas were longer and it was the same with this one. The characters and their dynamic are just such a fun read and I'm always sad when it's over. I also love a good roadtrip and this book absolutely nailed their field trip. I just want more and more of the girls just living their lives and seeing them interact.

I really loved this series and I am sad to say goodbye to Honey and Sadie. I love the murder and mayhem in this book. The snark that honey has and how relatable Sadie is. I was really hoping for a more clear and happy ending but I'm just sad. Too many sad possible endings in my brain. But I loved this story. ♥️

I just love them so much

The heart wrenches in this one were deep! I want them to do a clinical "k1ll" of Honey and see if it fixes Sadie. Humans die all the time for a few minutes and then come back!! I can't stand the idea of Sadie watching Honey grow old. I can't do it! Ugh! But I'm so glad they found Rosaline!

I got an ARC and am leaving a review voluntarily.

I enjoy the new characters as they make the supernatural underworld seem a lot bigger more organized than in past books. The majority of the conflict boils down to is nature vs nurture. I personally found that fascinating.
