He's the scorching hot naga assassin who needs a fake bride...who am I to argue?
I missed first contact over a century ago, and my guard job on S.C Britannia is no more than pushing buttons. I joined the military for excitement and all I get are drunk idiots and the occasional smuggler to break up the boredom.
Which is why I entered the Starlight Lottery in the first place. A new job and a new life on an alien planet, what more could a girl seeking adventure possibly want?
So I might not have expected an adventure to involve fake marrying a naga assassin who needs me to infiltrate a pleasure planet in order to track down his mark.
And I certainly didn’t expect my new husband to be hotter than hell, with a tail which runs riot in my fantasies. Not that he’s interested in me. It seems his blood is as cold as his reptilian nature might suggest.
Until we have to share one bed and things get heated for the night…
When this is all over, Azul says he’ll pay me well and we can go our separate ways, but after I’ve seen how passionate he can be, I’m not sure it’s going to be possible.
And from what I’ve seen in his mesmerising eyes, I’ve got to hope he feels the same…
Welcome to the Starlight Brides – where luck is optional, but the hot alien is guaranteed!
3.5 stars Very horny, action filled alien romance. Both of the main characters were insecure in a lot of ways, and both had a taste for adventure. I enjoyed the spice. Some of the writing got a little choppy about halfway through.
Seeking a better life, the characters sign up for new jobs. However, what they receive and what they expected are two different things.
This sci-fi paranormal tale follows Earth women as they discover their fated mates in the most unexpected places. It features humor and a longing for love that we can all relate to.
The series is written by different authors, each contributing their own unique spin on the concept of fated mates with unusual alien creatures.
Jenna McMahon has lived on a spaceship her entire life, amongst a group of what was a British group of humans, forced to leave Earth. After her no-nonsense attitude gets her in trouble as a security officer on her ship, she’s offered (read: tricked) into joining the Starlight Lottery program, not realizing it’s actually a mail-order bride program. Azul has agreed to one last bounty. He’s tired of the bounty hunter life, and is ready to do one last big job so that he can retire in peace. In order to maintain his cover, he will need to bring a partner. Enter: the Starlight Brides program.
This was an INCREDIBLE last entry into the Starlight Brides Lottery series! The plot was fascinating, the chemistry between our two MCs was electric and Azul’s naga being was incredibly hot. This was a bit longer than the previous stories, but it was all better for it! There was a fun development of our MCs relationship and a heist-like story in them getting Azul’s bounty! I had a great time, and I’m so sad to see this series come to an end. It was so much fun meeting all of our aliens and their brides!
Tropes in this story: ✨Naga x Human pairing ✨Arranged marriage ✨Heist-like plot line ✨Alien (boy) obsessed! ✨Very delicious… er… “hardware” on our naga 😈
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book via the author, but my review is all my own.
It took me forever to finish. It was fine I guess, grammatical errors and annoying characters aside. I just don’t think it was well written or engaging. And the sex was ho hum.
Alien (naga). Arranged married. Bounty hunter prince MMC. Police/security whatever FMC. No virgins. Double cocks. Knot. Breeding. Biting. Tail play. Tail in ass. Mating. Fated mates. Biting mark. Feeling each others emotions. Pregnancy (triplets).

🔥 “Love is a mate who wants to cause pure havoc with you. And I love Jenna with all my heart.” ~~~ Jenna is awesome! She’s one tough, fierce, no-nonsense and resourceful security officer. Even more, I loved her courage, sass and her adventurous spirit. And I loved that she never backed down and was ready to face any challenges thrown her way. Jenna is an amazing woman and I loved her so, so much!
And Azul is a spectacular male! This badass bounty hunter is strong, fearsome, dangerous and resourceful. Even more, he’s fiercely protective, fun and so deliciously possessive and naughty. And he’s so charming! Azul is one utterly irresistible male and I couldn’t help but adore everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Jenna and Azul! Jenna is stuck on a dead-end job when she, in search of adventure and a new life, impulsively signs up for Starlight Lottery. And imagine her surprise when she’s shipped as a mail-order bride and matched with Azul - a gorgeous bounty hunter who’s ready to retire and has taken one last job. I absolutely adored Jenna and Azul together! Their chemistry was fantastic and the attraction was strong right from the start. And I loved their banters! Even more, they mate such a badass team, working together on getting his last mark. What started as an arrangement, soon became so much more. And when Jenna and Azul gave into the undeniable need, the passionate moments they shared were so hot! They were truly perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of either of them!
Overall, the story is another fantastic addition to the series! It’s filled with action, adventure, suspense, twists, humor, romance, passion and spectacular characters.
Jenna (h), a tough and resourceful security officer stuck in a dead-end job aboard the decaying S.C. Britannia, a ship plagued by corruption and monotony, dreams of something more. When she impulsively enters the Starlight Lottery, she wins the ultimate ticket out, but it’s not what she expects. Instead of a new job or home, she’s thrust into an alien matchmaking scheme and paired with Azul (H), a formidable alien bounty hunter who also happens to be a Glycon reptilian prince with a shadowy past. Azul has no intention of settling down. His latest mission requires a fake mate to infiltrate a dangerous pleasure planet and capture a notorious narcotics kingpin. But from the moment he meets Jenna, he’s drawn to her fiery spirit and determination. Jenna, equally wary and intrigued, agrees to play along, for now. As they navigate treacherous enemies, tangled politics, and their mutual attraction, Jenna and Azul realize their partnership is more than a facade, as they learn to trust each other before their mission unravels and their enemies close in. With danger around every corner and things heating up, Jenna and Azul’s journey will change both their lives. Hot and steamy alien-human adventure romance, exploring love, loyalty, trust, transformation, and unexpected bonds.
Jenna is a security guard on the S.C. Britannia but only second class. She has just caught a guy with contraband. Then she finds out he's the prime minister's attache. So now she's on unpaid leave. Azul is a naga and a bounty hunter. He is sitting in a bar having a drink when his employer sits next to him. The next day he finds out he's taken a job that will pay him enough to retire and disappear. But the job comes with strings...he has to have a mate to get on the planet. So he signs up for the Starlight Brides program. Meanwhile Jenna gets talked into putting out her last credits on the chance she could win the lottery in the Starlight Lottery. She wins but things are a trifle dodgy. A visit from her boss on the ship has her becoming a sort of spy on a drug dealer. She gets to the Hub where she finds she's been mated to a naga. Wait! WHAT? They come to a meeting of the minds..although his is a bit lost....they team up and take on the drug lord. Only there are surprises that stagger her mind and make her question her choices. Will the two get back on the same page or continue on the path that veers away from each other? A story that will give a few giggles, a few grrrrrrrrrrrrrs and a lot of aaaaaaaaaaaaaaw.
After the backlash from retaining a powerful man smuggling drugs, Jenna chooses to enter the Starlight Lottery. On her way to her new future, she is approached by the government to investigate the lottery, which is suspected to be hiding its actual agenda. Bounty hunter Azul accepts a final job before retirement, but needs a mate to be accepted on the pleasure planet his mark is residing on. He is shocked at how tempting he finds Jenna, but will she be able to handle the charade necessary to bring his target to justice?
Alien Naga’s Prize is a delightful novella with two talented main characters with a passion for justice. Jenna is wonderfully capable, and more than willing to fight to protect those she loves. Azul is ashamed of his past, but knows what he wants and it willing to do whatever it takes to obtain his objectives. The two are a dynamic combination and the sparks fly, leading to a fantastic romance.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Super fun read. Spicy SciFi story with a fierce FMC and a Possessive, Grumpy MMC Alien. Azul had no intentions on accepting a bride but for his plans to come to fruition he went along with his friend's crazy scheme. Jenna was looking for adventure and when approached to join a lottery that would lead to a better life, she figured what did she have to lose. Unfortunately, the scout forgot to mention that Jenna was signing up for a bride lottery and that she has been matched with the fated mate.
This was a fun an adventurous story of finding love and happiness when you least expect it. Azul was a Bounty Hunter and didn't think Jenna would it into his future plans; until she showed him just what a bada$$ she was, and he was a goner. Hook, Line and Sinker.
Jenna and Azul had a few obstacles to get over; most as a result to their stubbornness but needless to say fate once again intervened and prove to these two that they were meant or each other whether they liked it or not.
Human Jenna has been toiling away on a decaying space station when she receives a notice that she’s won the starlight lottery. She tells her boss to stuff the job where it’ll never see starlight, and is waylaid by some thugs who want her to infiltrate the lottery. The joke’s on them - and Jenna - her lottery winnings are actually a groom!
Naga shifter Azul has only agreed to participate in the starlight brides program to visit a pleasure planet, which he must have a partner to approach. As soon as he senses Jenna’s presence however, his mating instinct is triggered, and the mission changes.
This is a steamy, funny, action-packed read from the always entertaining Hattie Jacks. It’s a great way to spend some time.
I was very lucky to have received an advance reader copy from the author and bookfunnel, and I’m happy to share my honest review.
This is a new adventure in the starlight brides series. Jenna is a human, having grown-up all her life on a space station, called Britannia, find herself as part of the Starlight Brides Lottery when she only thought she was signing up for lottery to win a prize to another planet, where she could experience life like she had never before. Jenna meets her future husband Azul of Gylcon, who is a snake like being and after they are wed, learned that he is a bounty hunter who is after his Mark on a pleasure planet. This is where their adventure starts and there is a lot for her to learn and experience, there is a happily ever after for them. This book was a lot of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story and highly recommended those who enjoy this type of book.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
If I wasn’t sure what love is before, I am sure now. Love is a mate who wants to cause pure havoc with you. And I love Jenna with all my heart.

Rating: 4/5 Spice: 2/5 POV: Dual 1st
Working as a security officer on the S.C. Britannia, Jenna gets tempted into signing up for the Starlight Lottery. New opportunities on a new planet? Why not? What she didn’t expect was to be matched and become a bride to a Glycon, a naga species.
Azul may be the prince of his home planet, but he found his calling as a bounty hunter after running away from an arranged mating. His new mission on a pleasure cruiser requires a mate by his side, and although he is filled with reluctance at being paired with a human female from Starlight Brides, the end reward is too grand to ignore.
This book felt more like an adventure and I appreciated that a lot. I would have loved it even more if certain events and decisions progressed at a better pace. After telling Azul ‘not mates, no pleasure either’, Jenna barely put up any resistance when it came time to it. I know that the fact that they are fated mates pull them together like magnets, but come on, girl!
Besides that, a great read overall. I can’t believe the series is over 🥹
This is the last of the Starlight Brides. I loved that Jenna's mission is to investigate them. I loved her demand for completing the mission. She would be unique in the security guard job on the space station. Jenna was very skilled, smart, (thinking out side of the box smart). Loved the condition she and Azul "worked" with to complete both missions, even though he knew better. The secrets were revealed slowly through out the story. This is a standalone story. The flow was good, you want to know what happens next. Loved the twists. Steam to the eventual romance. Loved the subtle humor splashed here and there. And of course the perfect HEA for the two. I received a free copy of the book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my review.
An absolutely great read! I really enjoyed the set up of this story, and how strong each character was on their own. The MMC is a trained assassin, who needed a 'mate' to go to a pleasure planet. He drunkenly signed up for Starlight Brides to be able to get a quick mate to get his 'mark'. The FMC took an off chance to sign up for the 'Lottery' since she was just put on probation from her job, and the next day she was off to marry her new mate.
One thing I really liked is that the FMC was trained in security and could hold her own on the MMC's mission as a bounty hunter. The characters and plot felt fully developed in this book, and even some comedic relief with the side characters. Definitely one of my favorite of the series!
⟣Tropes⟢ ✅ Touch her and 💀 vibes ✅ FMC is no wimp, can hold her own ✅ Fated Mates ✅ Dual POV’s ✅ Insta-Love (for him) ✅ MINE ✅ Alien 🍆 ✅ He falls first ✅ Fake Dating (Fake Marriage really) ✅ HEA
loved it !! love this series !! love Jenna and Azul... Prince Azul... this is their story.. a fast paced action packed shorter drama... SC Britannia... Jenna is a security guard , second class, because she's female and life is not fair... she does her job but, the criminal drug mule is a big shot that she doesn't recognize, even if she did , she would still do her job.. she of course gets into trouble.. three weeks off no pay... starlight lottery comes to the rescue.. and off she goes...Azul has one more mission but, he needs a wife.. okay, a pretend wife... to get his mark and retire... what he gets is Jenna... in a tight dress... and he can't keep his eyes off of her... yeah, it's so like that !!! so good !!! so dangerous !!! received this on an ARC, my honest review !!!
I really love Hattie Jacks writing style. Always fun, and exciting characters. Her steamy scenes will peel wallpaper, and the main female leads are shoot first, take names later. Jenna wanted to not be board anymore ,and signing up for a , what she thought was a chance to win a Lottery, was just the beginning. Azul is ready to retire as a bounty hunter, but his Handler has other ideas. He gets Azul drunk, and signed up for Starlight Brides as a means to have a companion / bride to stand as a cover for a couple on a pleasure planet. He'll get this last mark, and then he's done. Or so he thinks. This is a fast paced, fun sexy story. I highly recommend her books. Trish. A.
3.5/4 ⭐️ for my enjoyment but 5 ⭐️ for the overall vibes • ARC
another fun installment in this series! for being a short book, there was a good amount of world-building & culture-building. jenna was a cool FMC with her background as a security officer & azul as a prince-turned-bounty hunter. some of the lines had me on the FLOOR laughing, and i appreciated it didn’t take itself too seriously.
fun tropes in this mail-order bride universe, including: surprise, its marriage not a lottery!, fated mates/true mates, possessive/protective MMC, MMC has ~double~ the fun anatomy, and other naga/snake-adjacent bonuses
This is another wonderful enjoyable story I'd enjoyed reading in this Starlight Brides Lottery series. This story is about Jenna McMahon a security officer on the S.C. Britannia who pulled over a possible drug smuggler who ended up being a high official which she got suspended for. Jenna gets approached by a worker of the lottery which she signs up. Jenna gets matched up to Azul a naga bodyguard and assassin who is assigned a mark on Pleasure Planet. Azul needs a mate so his boss signs him up. What occurs afterwards was an engaging story I'd couldn't put down with likable characters to root for their HEA. I'd volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received.
Jenna was having a rough day at work as a Security Officer. So much so that she is sent home without pay and spends her last on a lottery ticket. When she wins, her prize isn’t cash but a mate! What? Then she is bribed into investing the lottery. On a planet far way, disgraced prince and bounty hunter, Azulejo, is ready to retire but agrees to take one last job on a pleasure planet. But he needs a mate , enter Starlight Brides and Jenna! It was pure adventure and steamy scenes after that with a liberal dose of humor mixed in. It was hilariously hot and I loved it.
Thank you so much to the author for the arc, all options are my own.
Security Jenna is put on unpaid leave after catching an important man with a butt full of drugs. She decides to sign up for the Starlight Lottery after being corned in the hallway and deciding that's what she needs to do to move forward in life. Bounty hunter Azul needs a mate to get on an exclusive pleasure planet to catch a drug dealer.
This was a fun novella that showed more of this shared world with more new locations, the original S.C Britannia human ship, and the new pleasure planet. I hadn't read a Naga romance before and Azul did not disappoint.
Gleeful Goblin Review: This story is a little bit of a departure from the previous ones in that it feels a little more action adventure/spy style than others in the series. But I really loved it! In this case our FMC Jenna is basically part of the military and doesn't do great with authority. That struggle under authority is part of what puts her in the path of Starlight Brides and our MMC, Azul. Now, Azul has his own reasons for ordering a fake bride which is where the action adventure/spy games bit comes into play for sure. But since this is a romance, nothing stays fake for very long! Hunting bounties, faking marriages, and finding love makes for a rip roaring good time. 5/5 Stars
Another fun book in this series. The Starlight Lottery/Brides appears to have the secret to matching fated mates which means they are not just doing mail order brides and human trafficking.
I liked this response to the usual trope about carrying her,
“I can walk,” I protest.
“I am aware of your ability to walk,” he responds. “But I wish to carry you.”
“I’m aware you can carry me, but I wish to use my legs.” I glare at him.
I like her sass and fearlessness. It serves her well falling for a guy who is half snake and a bounty hunter.
One's more The Starlight lottery brings together two fated mates under false pretenses. Jenna wants a better life that the one aboard Britannia,Azul is a bounty hunter needing a female to pose as his mate, but they get much more that they thought. Hattie Jacks done an amazing work, the perfect balance between sweet and spicy, with a dash of humor and a lot of action. I devoured this book in one sitting because got me so hooked I couldn't put it down!
🔥🔥🔥🔥💜 What is not to like about this amazing read by Hattie.
This is such an awesome quirky fun read with a female lead who steals the show.
Jenna and Azul meet under unusual circumstances per the Starlight Brides/ lottery program. Their adventure takes us on a colorful journey to say the least.
The characters and world building is quite the eye opener. The antics and role playing is bar to none.
Both have different agendas but together they find a common ground that leads to the most profound love story ever 💜💜🔥
Jenna needs change, her job is stagnant despite her stellar performance and she winds up on leave for essentially doing her job correctly. In a mood she signs up for the starlight program thinking that it’ll lead to adventure, not marriage. Azul needs a female for his latest bounty hunting mission, he does not expect Jenna, his mate. There’s an instant attraction but there’s still a job to be done, bad guys to be outwitted and love to be found along the way. All in all a good story between a prickly human and growly male naga told from dual POV.
“I will always destroy anyone who tries to hurt you, my little sunray."
Azul is a bounty hunter who needs a bride to get into the planet his next job is on. Jenna wants a better life fire herself while spying for her own government. What they find instead is that they are fated mates and they fall in love 💕
I love Jenna. She is feisty and a fighter. She takes all that comes at her. Azul doesn’t want a bride really, but changes his mind the minute he smells her.
The spice is really good, and he is a naga so there is a special surprise waiting for you 😉
While neither were wanting to be mates, that changed shortly after meeting. Jenna had a lot of self confidence, fought way better than most (especially males) expected of her and was also very strong willed. Azul, a bounty hunter knew what he was getting into with the starlight lottery, but Jenna had no idea. It was a big wake up call for her, but it promised excitement, excitement she craved. She may be getting way more than she wished for. The danger was exciting and tense. There are some twists I wasn’t expecting.
Jenna is a likable FMC- she’s smart, capable and up for any challenge thrown her way. Azul is an intimidating bounty hunter who has one last big job to pull off so he can retire. Neither get what they expect when they sign up for Starlight Brides (or Starlight Lottery). This quick and easy to read story has no angst, a fated mate romance, some good spice and a little bounty hunter action thrown in that makes it an entertaining read.
Hattie Jacks has done it again! Action packed along with sizzling romance…yes this read has it all. Thankfully, Jacks has continued her Starlight Brides Series. I love the creativity in each of her reads. Her characters are well developed…Azul, a prince/bounty hunter is all alpha. Yum. Jenna is a strong heroine who is perfect for him. Can’t wait for the next in the series! Download and enjoy❤️❤️❤️
