They call me Irreparable.

A feral omega who can't be tamed.

And I've bitten every alpha who's tried.

Before they can either put me down or send me to a breeding facility, fate intervenes in the form of a masked spec-ops team that deals in death and destruction.

The Ghosts.

Valek, the wolfish serial killer plucked from death row.

Plague, the combat medic who deals death with surgical precision.

Whiskey, the big trash-talking himbo with a short fuse.

Wraith, the mute, scarred monster with a fractured mind.

And Thane, the stone-cold leader who rules his pack of rabid attack dogs with an iron fist.

The Council that oversees the last fragments of our society has decided the only thing that can tame these savage alphas is an omega. “Control the omegas, control the alphas,” as their infamous saying goes.

And we're so rare, there's only one omega they're willing to risk.

Only one omega they view as disposable.

---

This dark omegaverse is set in a war-torn dystopian society structured around the alpha/beta/omega dynamic, with alphas holding most positions of power and omegas holding very little. There are no supernatural or paranormal elements in this omegaverse outside of alpha traits such as barks, pack structures, and enhanced physical abilities. Please see inside cover for themes.

It's a shame because this was one of the RH books I was looking forward to. Started off strong with each character intro. Ivy in hell, the Ghosts out of control. Then it got repetitive. Things are said, nothing happens. The alphas go full mine and protect, yet Ivy doesn't want to know. I don't know how to describe this one. Its not enemies to lovers and doesn't feel like there's any chemistry at all. Its a group of damaged individuals forced together and the only sex in the book is Plague getting both Whiskey and Ivy off and the mandatory heat sex which she chose all of them and still planned to escape at the first point. Apart from the Omega/Alpha thing and mine mine mine, I didn't get anything from them. I didn't like the group dynamic. The Plague/Whiskey thing felt a little forced. Wraith was treated like the big bad and Whisky was mocked at almost every opportunity. Not for me. Won't be reading the next one.

I just...don't know what happened with this book.

I was so for it up to the 80% mark. The characters were all unique enough, it was fast-paced and entertaining, things were going well. The big evil men turned out to be all about consent, and plotting to save damsels in distress, and I was having a good time. The FMC is honestly a little devoid of personality, but I'm hoping that is fixed in the next book.

And then the heat happened.

And everything just kinda felt like it got messed up. I started this book thinking it was a standalone, but now that I know that there's at least one more, I wish the author had just eased us into the relationships a bit more vs this rushed final 20% heat-orgy.

I added the second one to my Amazon TBR, I hope it redeems itself from the Wraith perspective.

Pro’s and Cons with this unfortunately. Pro’s and Con’s.

🌈 Pro: The blurb description along with the plot concept as well as the overall, general concept for this novella were solid.

❌ Con: The absolutely CONSISTENT inconsistency’s in this novella literally Everywhere.

🌈 Pro: The ML’s were not the usual Omegaverse Alpha male archetypes rife with overcompensating and allround scumbag-er-y.

❌ Con: They consistently treated the FL as air when they were talking about her… right in front of her… in a “boy’s locker room” jeering sort of way. No, it was not charming. No, there was nothing cute or remotely likable about it.

(For funnsies here’s an example -

“What can I say?" he (Whiskey) drawls, rolling his shoulders in a lazy stretch that has every rope of muscle flexing beneath his tanned skin. "The man speaks the truth. Now it's my turn to have a go at that sweet little cunt."

Thane chuckles darkly, withdrawing from my body … as he watches Whiskey move into position …

"Be my guest," Thane rumbles, ... "Let's see if you can keep up, pup."

Whiskey bares his teeth in a roguish grin, already lining up ... "You just sit back and take notes," he purrs...

- Please keep in mind, she is missionary (🙌🏼) beneath Whisk as he and Thane casually shoot the breeze together. And this is NOT the only time the ML’s do this. Talking between each other as if she’s not there entirely despite being “obsessed” with her. 💀)

🌈 Pro: Fck it. There are no more. This novella had a lot of friggin issues and I feel like a spoil sport for pointing them out but here I go anyways. 🫠💔

❌ All of the Cons! 🎉🎉🎉

✋🏼• I get that this is a two part-er but this first part was Seriously too short to accomplish what it (apparently) set out to accomplish- my own expectations for it (devastated and disappointed 🥲) aside.

✋🏼• Because it was so short things like, the FL’s sudden change of heart was so stupid (*spoiler* she gets saved and basically goes into Heat as gratitude. 😑)

✋🏼• Her wanting to sleep with all of the guys (just the 4 of them- Thane, Whiskey, Plague and V-whatever) after claiming she wanted only Wraith (which legitimately made sense to me because at least HE was the one that saved her before her random a$$ heat) was utterly dumbfounding.

✋🏼• Add on top of the fact that she never explains her reasoning for changing her mind about Wraith or even describing feeling guilty or something after she takes down the rest of the pack. (I get she had a talk with Thane about his (Wraith’s) mask but does she seem like the type to back down from a challenge??? Really?) This just makes her look vain and silly bc she, what? Backs off bc she has no confidence she won’t find him repulsive? Bc of his scary face? Girl, if you don’t saddle up your inner Christine Daaé and get yourself some of that Phantom righ tf now. 😤 This should be a non-issue if her character descriptions from page ONE had stayed true throughout the novel. (#Team-I’mSeverlyBiased #TeamPsycho-AKA-Wraith).

✋🏼• Her randomly being So down to f*ck 4 total strangers out of nowhere (who she has vehemently opposed/ hated AND known for literally less than a month) is such an absolute mind-boggle of a complete 180 from her original character traits she’s so proud of. Girl goes practically the entire novel feeling absolutely no feels for these guys except for ‘unwilling Omega prisoner’, to, ‘Omg! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!’

✋🏼• The ML’s “boyzzzz” trash talking between each other in front of the FL. ✅ Cringe. ✅ Ew. ✅ Gross.

✋🏼• The s€x scenes. My god. What did I read? Pls make it make sense. She literally doesn’t change positions the entire time but somehow there are hands where hands can’t be bc there should be an entire Other human body on top of her at the same time. Her O’s are also really random- *twists n!pp!e once* ✨“AHHHH!!!! 💗💦💦💦”✨ The entire description for beginning to end just read as so childish in a way. 😭🥲

✋🏼• The A, B, O dynamic/ universe in this world setting isn’t well explained either BEFORE the novella starts (as in, any authors notes to start) or DURING the novella, so you have these really freaky, poorly described instances that pop up out of nowhere like: ⬇️

“To my relief, he seems to sense that and doesn't push it in. Even the alphas at the Center knew they'd get in trouble for knotting us, since that can form a mate bond. So I only have my terror-fueled imagination to tell me what that would be like.

❓(What the fuck?????????)❓

(A chapter later, also on knotting:) “My first instinct is to panic, some deeply ingrained survival reflex kicking in. Getting knotted will trap me with him, giving him the chance to bite me—to mark me in a way that would form an unbreakable mate bond—the ultimate claim of ownership over my body and my life.”

(So what is it? Knotting mates you? 😑 Or biting? 🤐)

✋🏼• Also, pls, I’m SOBBING! 😫 Tell me why- (*Spoiler Alert*) -Thane went outside to go grab his bro Wraith for the FL’s Heat and Wraith just looked at Thane like: ❓😗🤨🧐❓ “What is… HeAt??????” And then Thane just looks at him like: 😶😧🫡 AND PEACES OUT ON HIM!!! 🤣💀🛑🥲💔 Bro literally yeeted the Sex Ed. convo responsibility entirely and said to himself, ‘can’t be bothered, maybe later’. (😂) I’m friggin dead. The absolute audacity. (It’s not funny, this part honestly blew my mind, I was seriously like, “wtf?? That’s so shady”, so I’m just laughing at it now. 😂)

✋🏼• However, my biggest issue is actually the lack of communication before they all start having s€x. 😑 Except for Thane asking her to choose who she wanted to spend her Heat with (nice job Thane ✨👍🏼✨) none of the involved parties have any sort of discussion before going into her estrus period. Protection or no protection? Kinky stuff or Vanilla? Knots or no knots? She- (FL) -LITERALLY describes herself as being petrified of Knots. She insists that she’s not ready for them both mentally or physically and continues to think this to herself for the whole first half of her pound town arch. Despite this burning grievance inside herself tho, never ONCE does she VERBALLY COMMUNICATE this fear/ discomfort/ anxiety of hers to her male partners at ANY point. She just lies there, (Quit? Don’t quit?? No~odle~s!) and plays the utterly enticing and provocative role of a dead fish. 😭🐟💀😫

Yeah, so no. This was not a good read. Especially not if you’re the type of reader who can smell BS a mile away. To me this whole thing reads like this author was happy that she got to a certain point in Part One only to happen to look up at the date/ time and suddenly remember how she needed to submit this assignment for full credit by 11:59. Wherein she just flat out panic’s, write’s a total crock of sht, but submits it anyways at 11:59:58 before calling it a day. ✨👍🏼✨

I’m so happy I found this! I love omegaverse in all its forms but rejected mated or “damaged” omega tops the list every single time.

Set in a post apocalyptic world this book has everything I love about damaged omegaverse. An omega who has seen and been through too much. Alphas who banded together out of want but also necessity. Confusing relationships and so much banter and violence.

Ivy is my kind of omega. She’s tough as nails and has been through so much that even if her instincts tell her she’s safe she questions it. She is sent to a facility that’s basically for “re training” as a “irreparable” and is put through trauma after trauma for years until finally some higher ups decide to hand her over to a groups called “Ghosts”. Scary for her but the best decision someone ever made for her.

They consist of five alphas who are given missions to accomplish and all known for the ruthlessness and violence.

Thane, who is for all intents and purposes the leader. He is the son of a pretty important man who sends them on missions. Thane seems the most level headed almost by the book. After getting Ivy though he questions and he watches more.

Plague, who is their doctor or medic. He’s a bit of a Germaphobe but he seems to understand what Ivy may need much quicker than the others. He moves very methodically but has a dry wit that I adore.

Whiskey is a bit of a jokester. Quick to anger and quick to laughter. He ended up being my second favorite of all the boys. Who doesn’t love a silly giant?

Vakel was a mixed bag for me. He’s a serial killer and seems to have the most blood lust out of the group. Volatile and possessive but always teetering on the line of can and will fuck you right up.

Wraith. Should he be my favorite? Possibly not. But I love a tortured soul too much to care about “shoulds”. He’s by far the most unhinged but because of his past that makes so much sense to me. I’m hoping we get more of him in the next book.

I’m so grateful the cliffhanger wasn’t too rough. I was DREADING the end of this so badly because I’m obsessed with it already. I wanna know how their relationships evolve and if Ivy can accept the feelings they’ve unlocked in her. I wanna see Plague and Whiskey and if they explore anymore. I want Wraith to get more screen time and see him interact more with Ivy. I want Thane to see more from his dad and pull back the curtain of corruption. I want to see how Vakel reacts the more Ivy and the alphas get close.

All in all such a fantastic book! The world building, the gentle explanations of a new term or topic without yanking you from the story. All of it was so good. It was a bit slow burn, she’s traumatized and needs to literally rebuild her strength but the spice we got was hot. HOT. I genuinely didn’t stop reading them except to sleep one night and then couldn’t stop picking it back up during work. 10/10 can’t wait for the next one!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

I was excited to give this omegaverse a try, especially when I saw the audio was on hoopla!

From the beginning, I was so hooked on this story and how the heroine was basically taken and the men were forced to take her as their Omega. And these guys are pretty ruthless and unhinged. About 70% of the story was a four star for me, but the rest of the book was just basically spice and I really wanted more from the plot. The heroine didn't seem super like herself anymore from how she acted in the rest of the book? I was a bit confused by the world they're living in, what's going on with the war, and the setting overall. did enjoy these characters, I'm just not sure I'll continue on with the seres.

The world building and rules of the world were not developed or defined well. It's post nuclear war, there's still a war going on - I think. No idea what the war is about, who's fighting it, or why. Is this set in a different universe? It's post nuclear war but there is no food scarcity and people use modern vernacular? How would they even know what half those words mean if they were born after the fall out?

There were so many inconsistencies that it made my brain hurt. Does knotting start the mate bond or biting? Both are mentioned as the trigger at different times?

I didn't hate this, so I will give the second book a try and hope that everything ties together in a way that makes sense of it all.

Feral omega

I enjoyed this book until about the end. We have an omega who has been seriously hurt in so many ways, and a pack of alphas who seem to understand this. Yet make questionable decisions on how to go about taking care of her. The alphas are definitely jerks. And our omega has just had it with everyone. And its understandable. We get a lot of mistrust the entire book, and it seems both sides have to honestly build trust. That is until the end and a sudden heat. Then its, lets forget what we just read for an entirety of 95 pages of this book to all the sudden have sex. That one event totally killed the entire book to me. Because I honestly don't see that happening. Not with this omega. And yet it does, and it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.

I enjoyed this one much more than I thought I would. The universe the author slowly built in this book is very harsh and dangerous. I'd like to get even more detail about it and possibly how it will effect the guys and Ivy (their omega). The guys are feral beasts that grow to care for the poor violated omega. I liked their dynamic and the evolution of it throughout this book. One thing I would have liked to have seen put into this book/series is a paranormal element (like the guys shifting into wolves or something) but that's purely because I prefer to read PNR. Overall, I'm very much entrgued and hope to enjoy the next book. I can't wait to see where the next book will lead us!

Idk what it is about a good omegaverse book, but it does it for me.
Feral Omega is based in a post-apocalyptic time period. Ghost is a special ops team filled with morally grey alphas. Ivy is a "defected" omega who refuses to break under the councils mismanaged boarding home for omega training.
The action and political aspects of this plot were fantastic, along with the banter between the team. I will be impatiently waiting for book two!

Wraith was done dirty and it hurts me bad. Wraith the disfigured is probably the most likable character out of the bunch. All the other guys’ internal dialog is either about putting him down (like permanently) or banging Ivy. So we read a lot about both of those possible scenarios.

Feral Omega is a one star reverse harem romance that is a solid three or four stars until about half way through. Our FMC is tough as nails, guarded and an aggressive opportunist. Her whole personality will however dissipate once she has her first heat. Shifter romance readers are picking up what I’m putting down. A second act personality switch is unfortunate in the best of books, a hulk smash destroyer in the worst case. You FO lovers can play pretend like this was some super fast character development between various dudes pounding her all you want. I however will say the author is a coward for not Because that’s the book I wish I read.

I recommend this one to frenemies. You know who you are. People that think they’re super tough but can’t do camping. The super duper stubborn ones; even to their own detriment. Perhaps, especially so.

It was a book and I read it. I didn't believe in the apparently deep and brotherly connections between the MMCs and I feel like we didn't get to know the FMC whatsoever. I don't regret reading it, but I also won't continue on with the series. That said, I understand how people love the book. It is a darker twist on non-shifter why-choose omegaverse.

Just unfortunately wasn't my favorite. It was, in my opinion, a bit over the top in a few places just for the sake of being dramatic. It felt like a lot of different thrown in to be more dark than was really warranted.

2.5* I find I'm often hit and miss with omegaverse, they can often feel a bit too repetitive. But I liked that this was a bit different, and had a more dystopian feel to it.
Some parts did feel a bit too fluffed up with thoughts and words, I wanted a bit more action or speech rather than it being a lot of character internal monologue. Then it would just jump timeline, when I would rather there be less thoughts and more character interaction and plot.
I think having so much time hopping meant that I didn't really feel any connection between the characters, I need to be present to feel and see the development...not just have it summarised. From not having any connection to the characters, and having zero romance, meant that when it got to the heat scene at the end it just felt disjoined. The FMC has gone years with rebelling against her omega nature and instincts, to resisting alphas and being determined to have freedom...then her heat starts and she ignores all that and instantly wants them.
Personally it didn't feel like this was any sort of romance genre, there just weren't any romantic relationships so I couldn't get attached to either the story or the characters. I do think it had potential, as the plot and the world created were interesting...I just needed more to be able to continue the series.

What a lovely little trashy romance novel! There was not a lot of depth or story, but that was exactly what I expected/needed from this book!

We get the storyline of Ivy being a feral alpha and being ‘gifted’ to the ruthless Ghosts-pack. She does not want to be there and is a full on menace (if she is not unconscious) for the entire book. At the same time the Ghosts are being alphas en trying to protect her but also love her (failing at that).

But in the end, without much of a meaning or reason everything is semi fine and she sleeps with all of them? I mean… why not. Sign me up I guess!

The plot and characters genuinely had my interest throughout the book bumping up my rating due to personal interest and the lack of I’ve found in other books recently.
Insta connection, obsessive and possessive men and a bit of a “stronger” damsel in distress with some push and pull (I liked). The book had little development (plot, character and relationship) overall lacking some direction storyline wise and was a dragging right at the end. Longer read for not much outcome lots of fluff/filler.
An okay read but I enjoyed it.
*I understand lower ratings
Going to continue on with series. (Thought it was a duet found out after finishing second book it is not)

🎧 Narrated by Maeve York & Benjamin Sands

I really thought I was going to like this one. The setup is fantastic: Ivy, a feral omega who’s survived horrible trauma in a training facility (and likely had a traumatic life beforehand), is thrown into the most dangerous alpha pack around. The Ghosts are unhinged, lethal, and exactly the kind of characters I usually love sinking my teeth into. On paper, this should’ve been my thing.

But the execution just didn’t work for me. Instead of being dark, tense, and layered, the story often felt like a group of frat bros circling Ivy. Sometimes protective, sometimes dismissive, but mostly just trying to get in her pants. For someone who has endured the trauma Ivy has, her mental state is brushed aside far too easily. The Ghosts claim to care about her wellbeing and hate what she’s endured, yet they talk about her like she’s a wild animal and rarely stop to consider how their actions will actually affect her. The story wanted them to be both tender protectors and lust-driven assholes, and in trying to balance the two, it ended up not committing to either.

The only Ghost who showed any real depth was Wraith, and I thought his dynamic with Ivy had potential… right up until the ending, which completely unraveled everything. Without getting into spoilers, Ivy makes a major decision that felt wildly out of character and completely unearned, especially given the fragile trust the story had been building.

Plot-wise, there’s hardly anything here. One mission, and that’s about it. Everything else is filler. With a world as rich as a dystopian Omegaverse, that felt like a missed opportunity.

As for the audiobook: Maeve York was good, if not particularly memorable. Benjamin Sands was solid too, but there was one accent (Russian or something close) that he just could not keep consistent, and it ended up distracting me more than anything.

Overall, this had a lot of potential, but it didn’t land. Between the lack of plot, shallow character work, and that ending, I don’t think I’ll be continuing with book two.

I really enjoyed the first 80% of this book. I found my love for omegaverse books two months ago and have been devouring them ever since. I loved that this was a dark omegaverse romance.

I went into this thinking it was a interconnected standalone (totally my fault for not checking), so when I got to about 80% I was crushed when I realized it was in fact book 1 of a series and I have to wait till October for the next one. But with that, I am happy that this did not end on a major cliffhanger.

Masked men. Why choose. Dystopian world. Yes to all of it. I gave this 5 stars for the vibes. Was it a literary masterpiece? No. Did I eat it up and leave zero crumbs? Absolutely I did. It’s dark and gritty and such an interesting spin on an OV romance. I couldn’t put it down.

Seriously hooked and I’m going to keep bingeing this series.

finally a different and well written OV 😭

this story had my attention from the start and although i was expecting to be more dark romance, it didn’t bother me as much ‘cause reading how they’ll make their pack work with ivy was *chef’s kiss*

i really like how feral and non compliant Ivy was… like she didn’t change her mind quickly and stayed true to her trauma and “beliefs”

the guys are unhinged but they’re more of the “touch her and die” and “grumpy and shitty to everyone but her”

overall i’m very happy with what i found!
can’t wait for october
