Trey Miller is a good guy, the best. He has a successful company and simply needs to meet the right person to share his life with; he needs to get lucky in love. Maybe he's been looking in the wrong places?
Trey finds himself going head to head to win an important account for his company.
Enter Faith Young, the rising star of his opposition. She's smart, attractive and quite familiar? She has a boyfriend but it soon becomes clear that he's NOT nice!
Trey and Faith have an intense attraction to one another, but there are obstacles in their path. Obstacles that hinder their possible union.
Will Trey finally be a winner in LOVE?
This is a sweet story written from a male point of view, always a huge positive for me.
Mine to Steal could have been oh so sexy, but for me it always faded to black a little too soon. I’d have loved the sensuality of the various scenes to be explored as I really think this would have been revealing, in terms of character, and warmed me to Trey and Faith a whole lot more.
The first half of the story is surrounded by a lot of detail, sometimes a little too much, for my personal taste. I like a slow build but the pace needs to be a little quicker and maintained at a level with additional drops of interaction between the hero and heroine. Around the halfway mark, the pace began to pick up immensely and this carried the book to the 3 I-like-it stars.
I really liked Faith's life history and the connections from their past. There are some really lovely moments between the hero and heroine and I enjoyed all their banter and the will-they-won't-they?
To sum up a sweet love story with a lovely hero.
Mine To Steal is the second book in the Mine to Love series, but can be read as a stand-alone

Review I fell in love with Ms. Rapp’s characters in the first book of this series and was so happy to find out that Trey got his own story. I was a bit disappointed in the beginning that Emogen didn’t change her mind and it wasn’t going to be a re-kindling of their past relationship advancing to what Trey originally wanted.
But I have to say that this was 100% better than my fantasy….Faith was the bomb and I had a blast reading about their banter, her snarky attitude and so much more.
Re-Cap Trey is done with giving in to Emogen and her desire to continue to be friends so he decides to move on. That is move on with his career and say “goodbye” to romance.
Well, that is until he tries to land a sporting goods account and finds he has some competition with a pretty, little lady by the name of Faith. Something about Faith is familiar to Trey but the sass and attitude coming off her spells disaster.
They are both competing to win this account and the lengths they go in order to come up on top is sometimes hilarious but somewhere during all this, they end up developing feelings for each other.
There are some secrets revealed, some hearts broken, some past experiences exposed….and along the way we meet Jet – Trey’s hysterical brother!!
Wrap-Up This is a feel good – LOL book and is perfect to bring to the beach, the pool or just lounging in your backyard – you will come away from it with a smile and a “feel good” vibe!
Trey Miller is a nice guy in his personal and professional life and although his professional life seems to be picking up speed his personal kind of sucks. He thought he found what he wanted in Emogen but she was already taken and he wasn't the guy to try and ruin a good relationship.
At least everything is going smoothly with his company and now he is ready to close a good deal. Only he has to compete with Faith Young for the job. She works for the company he left and is known to get every job she sets her eyes on. The fact that she is beautiful and determined only makes her more dangerous. But she is taken and Trey isn't going to go down that road again. At least he wasn't until he realised that Faith's relationship is anything but good for her.
Now Trey is determined to fight for her more than he's ever fought for anything in his life.
The book has a really slow start. About 30% in I though I would hate it but luckily it picked up later. The sad thing is that because of the slow part I never really felt any connection to the characters.
The book is a male POV which is nice since they are rare. At least "only male POV" books are rare but Trey is actually too good a guy if there is such a thing. At some points I wanted to shout at him that being a little bad would serve him better. Take his brother Jett for example... I liked the hell out of him. If he gets a book I'll definitely read it.
I also kind of liked Faith but she really was nothing special. She lied to herself way too much to be the kind of heroine I enjoy. But I liked her determination in the professional department. I love it when heroines go after what they want with a take no prisoners attitude.
The fact that the sex scenes were cut short wasn't unpleasant to me. Would I have liked at least one good, full sex scene? Well yes. But it wasn't something that made me like the book less.

3.5 angst filled stars.. Mine to Steal was a very cute read of a sweet guy never seeming to get the girl he is after. Trey seems to have the worst timing there is for love. He has given up on the woman that was not meant for him only to have someone else fall into his lap, Faith Young.
Faith is a go getter, out for her career and involved. She is in a complicated relationship but ends up being Trey's competition for a big marketing/advertising campaign. Faith and Trey have an intense interaction and this could have been a really intense book sexly, but it was cut very clean :(
Their constant back and forth made me ache for some intense sexual moments with them that just faded to the next seen. While not bad and didn't ruin the book for me, I think it would have made it that much more explosive between Faith and Trey.
Throughout the storyline we also get a great glimpse of Trey's brother Jett, who by far needs his own story line. He has some serious hunk factor and has me dying to see his story in print - hint- hint T.K. Rapp.
Trey is truly a loveable guy who you can see yourself with and can see getting friendzoned alot because he is just so easy to love and to watch him find his other half is a great journey throughout the story.

Competitors. Opponents. The attraction is undeniable.
Trey and Faith are rivals, both vying for the same job. When circumstances force them to work together, the snark becomes foreplay… and eventually I just wanted to lock these two in a room and watch them go at it!!
Trey is sexy as hell and never without class. Faith is a beautiful woman from his past, and soon he realizes that she is everything that he’s ever wanted.
But she belongs to someone else.
“I was looking forward to shooting you,” she smiles and bats her eyes, feigning innocence.
“Me, too,” I say with a straight face.
LOVE IT!
And I’m going to need Trey’s brother, Jett’s, story ASAP!! His witty sarcasm and hilarious immaturity had me laughing out loud throughout the entire story!!
“The idea of you always made me excited, but the reality of you in my life and in my heart is better than anything I could imagine.”
This for me was one of those books that when I started it, I had a completely different idea in my head of what it was about than it what it turned out to be. In the very beginning, I have to be honest and say that I had a difficult time connecting with Trey’s character. This isn’t unusual for me - it typically takes me a few chapters to really get invested in a book. However, it did take a few extra chapters for this story to really grab hold of me. But once it did, I couldn’t put it down - it was a late night wee hours of the morning read for me, and a surprising ending that had me in tears.
Mine to Steal is told through Trey Miller’s eyes - he’s in his late twenties, hot, sexy and CEO of his own company. I know, you’re probably thinking that I was crazy to not love the book right away with a lead character like that! At the very beginning, we are introduced to Trey and Emogen - they are having a “fling” so to speak and we the reader learn that Trey is well on his way to falling head over heels for her. The part that tripped me up was that I loved Emogen’s character right away, we sort of started to see them develop something - and then they were finished. She returned to her ex and Trey did the right thing by letting her go. The storyline played out this way to give us a glimpse into who Trey really was - it showcased his traits and strengths and I all the things I came to fall in love with about him as the book unfolded.
Chapter by chapter, we began to see this as a love story that has been years in the making. When we first meet Faith, she is like a little firecracker. Her interactions with Trey had me laughing out loud one second, and ready to grab her by the arms and shake her the next second. Faith is a girl with many layers, I thought that T.K Rapp did a wonderful job of unveiling those layers the farther we got into the book. Her story was heartbreaking, but the memories it left her with warmed my soul. I enjoyed her stubborn nature - she is a quick witted girl with a sharp mind and I love that in a heroine. She was definitely full of surprises that Faith! There was twists in her plotline that I never saw coming, and did have me wondering what the outcome would be.
A simple twist of fate, a camping trip and a drunken night in a bar all result in Faith and Trey not only competing for accounts for their companies, but also working together. This was something I loved about this book - their interactions were hilarious and the flirting was sexy and shameless. The late nights at the office, the emails back and forth...that dialogue was beautifully written and shaped their story from rivalry to potential love.
I have to talk about Jett. For me, Jett stole the show...he is Trey’s little brother and I LOVED him. He was absolutely hilarious, and his character was so original! I loved his quirk with nicknames, such a great trait. The way he made Faith steaming mad when he called her “Doubt,” just brilliant. I definitely hope to see more of him in upcoming books.
This book truly is a love story. Love is never easy and Faith and Trey definitely face their challenges in this book. Just when we think its all coming together for them, it all falls apart...Will they fight for what they could have? Pick up a copy and find out their ending.
I was given an ARC for a honest review. Two words: LOVED IT!
I remember reading Mine to Lose where we were introduced to Trey. After everything that happened, I was hoping that he had his own story. This did not disappoint!
Trey is hurting because the girl he wanted belonged to someone else. He throws all his attention into his work. His younger brother Jett is back and is working with him. He and Trey go to a bar and Trey ends up drinking (which he doesnt do) and spends an amazing night with a stranger. Fast forward later and Trey is trying to get this account for his company, so he has to spend a few days with the owner and basically has to prove why his company is better that the company he previously worked for. That company sends a person to represent them and come to find out, its the girl Trey had that night with, Faith. From there sparks fly and the back and forth between them as they are trying to win the account is so good! They have a love/hate relationship but the attraction is there. talk about hot!
As you get more into the story, we learn more about Faith and who she is. You just want to take the two of them and lock them up so they can get their stuff together, but there are things that prevent it. you will enjoy this story and root for Trey and Faith all the way! Do they get together after everything that's happened? You have to read it to find out.Let me just say that Trey's brother Jett, was hilarious throughout this whole book. I can't wait for him to get his story :)
TK is an amazing author and I look forward to more from her. Do yourself a favor and add this to your tbr list today! You will love it without a "doubt" ;)
Mine to Steal is the second book in the Mine to Love series by T.K. Rapp. Again, another solid storyline that had me hooked from beginning to end. Loved the twists and turns that made this book truly amazing. The characters were well thought out and had great chemistry. I have really enjoyed this series and look forward to more by this author.
Audience: 16 & over. There is talk of sex but the actual scenes are closed door. Characters: Trey: Hard-working, sweet, honest and all around good guy. He's been unlucky in love and stuck in the friend-zone one too many times. Faith: Trey's business rival and blast from the past. She was teased by Trey's brother and ignored by Trey as a kid. All grown-up she's the quickly working her way to the top of her career. She's in an "open" relationship and trying to avoid Trey at all costs. Secondary: Jett, Trey's laid back, teenage-like brother who also has a serious and sweet side. Kayla, Trey's friend and self-nominated match maker. Cal, owner of Cave's Camo & Outdoor and possible client for Trey's PR Company. Hattie, Trey's long-time assistant and friend. The Plot: Trey's struggling to get over losing Emogen, even though he knew that he never really had her. Along comes Faith and sparks fly between them almost immediately. The problem is, she also happens to be his business rival and just like Em, she's already taken. Forced to work together for a new client, Cal, Trey does his best to guard his heart from being broken.. He won't give in to the temptation of Faith as long as she belongs to someone else. They say nice guys finish last but could Trey be the exception and will he just might be able to steal Faith's heart after all? The Feels: I thought that I loved Ryan from book #1 but Trey is pretty perfect and really gave Ryan a run for his money. I love that Trey has worked hard to get where he is, owning his own company and even attracting big name clients. I love that he isn't all alpha and that his success comes from hard work not from sheer power or influence from family. I love that he's sweet and honest and that he knows what he's looking for and isn't willing to compromise. He's a ladies man but not a man whore, which seems to be hard to come by in fictional hero's lately. I love that he learned from Em and Ryan was real true love is and that he's not willing to be with someone who cannot give all of themselves to him. I love that Faith was strong, yet vulnerable and insecure. She may come off as a pushover, but aren't we all at times while we're trying to navigate through life. I love Jett and his laid back, teenage-like attitude but that you can see he has a serious and loving side. We get more of him later, right? I love Hattie and her loyalty to Trey and her belief in Jett, even when his own brother isn't sure of him. I love Cal and his old school attitude and the camping, seriously, I loved the camping. I think that Cal knew exactly what he was doing when he forced Faith and Trey to work together. I love that the focus on this story was love and not sex. Sometimes sex can over run a good story and I think that it takes a talented author to not rely on steam to make a book work. This story was an honest, real representation of love, friendship, family and loyalty at its best. I loved every second of it. In case I didn't mention this enough, I had a lot of LOVE for this story. Haha. The Writing: Told in first person from Trey's POV. Perfection. I was drawn in and fell in love with each person in this story, except Brad! Notice I didn't say character, because this is one of those stories where fictional people became real friends in my mind. T.K. Rapp did an excellent job keeping me engrossed in the story and I actually really, really enjoyed the closed door love. Sometimes sex in books its too "in your face" and I have found myself skipping scenes. No skipping in this book but somehow I still know that behind closed doors, Trey has it going on! Sidenote: the names of the places they visited...AWESOME. Bean There for a coffee shop is brilliant. Is this a real place? What about Ale's Well for a tavern/bar? These names had me smiling every time they were mentioned. Quotes: "You deserve more than an open relationship, Faith. You deserve someone who's going to treat you like a queen. Someone who wants to spend as much time with you as possible and has no desire to be with anyone else, no matter how far apart you are."
"Faith Young, you drive me insane. You push every button, pick fights, make me laugh, and impress me with your talent. Somewhere along the way, I fell for you."
"The idea of you always made me excited, but the reality of you in my life and in my heart is better than anything I could imagine."
*I received an ARC from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review
Half of this book I felt bad for Trey. Half of it I felt bad for Faith. I couldn’t decide who deserved the great love more. Trey is very career driven and he knows what he wants. His only issue is his attraction to unavailable women. He just can’t seem to get that right.
He lost Em, who he never really had, but he walked away from her without a fight. Maybe he wasn’t ready, maybe she wasn’t really the one. Maybe he just didn’t have the fight in him. He never really had a chance in that one, but this time around, he wants to play to win.
Only problem with playing to win is that Faith is holding on to some old scars. She has wounds from her youth that she has never let heal. And because Trey is where those scars started, she hasn’t been able to get beyond that. But now it’s more than that. They are competitors for the same business. She works for the enemy but she doesn’t even know the half of it.
But there is something about her. Trey may not know who she is or have any memories of her, there is something about her that just caught his attention and he doesn’t want to let go of this one. But it’s one thing to have the passion and the determination, it’s another to have TWO willing participants. But Trey knows one thing, the man she calls her boyfriend is anything but.
There is no way a man like him could respect her, she is doing better in the business world than he did. He will do anything to get ahead. Even if it means cheating her out of everything that she has worked so hard for and making her believe his lies.
Faith is going to have to give a little of herself to find the true rewards of what love is. She is going to have to take a chance and a risk on the enemy in the business world. But when Trey and Faith are forced to work together, things shift, things change. Suddenly it feels like a lot more than friendship. But Trey is not going to make that mistake again.
He would rather walk away than fight for her. She already has a boyfriend despite the pseudo title of “open relationship” that Faith and her boyfriend have. He is not going to love another unavailable woman again. With everything stacked against these two and their incredible attraction, something is going to have to give. But what will it be?
I loved Trey. Like I said at the beginning, I thought for half the book that he deserved his happily ever after. He fell for Em, but she ways already taken. But there was no way he was going to let that happen again. But something about Faith was just so much more. He knew. But he was also aware of her circumstances and her boyfriend. When push comes to shove, he has the choice to walk away from her or fight for what he wants.
I liked Faith’s character a lot, but I felt she had a lot of misguided faith in the wrong man, so as much as I wanted her to have her HEA as well, I struggled because she just couldn’t seem to get past something that Trey’s brother did when she was 11 that just destroyed her. She is an adult now, but the scars from the past still seem to haunt her.
I loved their story. I loved the push and pull they felt for each other. They pushed buttons and made sparks fly. The heart knows what it wants though so no matter how crazy they may drive one another, there is something there and you just cannot wait for it finally to explode into the great passion that his hidden beneath the surface.
This book is a great read and all of the characters just had a fun banter between themselves. I loved the tension and the competition. I loved the camping and the cuddling. T.K. Rapp has written a fabulous story here and I will be reading it again when I have a chance!
Ok so first I will admit that I did NOT read Mine To Lose , not sure why , these books have been on my TBR since I did this cover reveal , and I LOVE this cover , and OMG after reading this story it is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. This troubled guy represents everything you would have learned about Trey in book 1 and everything we go through with him in book 2. Will Trey finally get the girl or better yet find THE ONE ??
I am intrigued to go back and read Mine To Lose because after the little bit of Trey and Em we get at the start here I NEED to read the story of Trey/Em/Ryan. I was so happy Trey could take a stand. He really is a stand up guy. Not the typical bad boy alpha we read about , more of a genuine sweet patient man.
Trey runs his own Marketing & PR firm. We learn a lot about what he does for work and the people he works closely with. Trey's brother has just moved to town to work for him and I cannot say enough about Jett !! He is hysterical and I swear I laugh anytime he opens his mouth !! I want a ride on Jett for sure !! Hattie , or as Jett refers to her as Hottie , is a great assistant and her loyalty to Trey comes out towards the end making her a key part in the underlying storyline. Trey's long time friend Kayla is fun as well , always trying to set Trey up and let's just say her "marathon" is hysterical !! Not sure where she finds these people but OMG too funny. The characters really make the story flow I love when there are strong supporting characters.
What I can say without spoiling.....
Trey is unlucky in love , one night while out with his brother he has an encounter with a girl and in a weird turn of events he ends up forced into a situation with this girl. For some reason , maybe the alcohol or maybe embarrassment, they both choose to pretend nothing ever happened and they do not know each other. Trey is hell bent on getting to the bottom of Faith's behavior and her one clue is to ask his brother about "Doubt". Oddly enough there is a past connection going on and it is a bit of a mystery. Between trying to land accounts for their competing companies and becoming fast friends Trey and Faith take a wild journey and we get dragged with them , it is a rollercoaster of back and forth and I seriously wanted to smash them together , or tie them up and make them get real !! In the midst of all their journey drama there is an underlying story developing and at a crucial point in their business venture Faith is betrayed by someone and all hell breaks lose. Will Faith listen to Trey ?? Will she let certain people turn her against Trey ?? Will Trey get to the bottom of this before it is too late ?? Damn , will Trey get the freakin girl or not !!??
I am such a fan of the male POV so I was pleased that we had that in this book. I loved that we got a little bit of Faith's POV at the right time !! The epilogue~ 3 months later ~ was fabulous !! Do we have an HEA or a cliffhanger ???? Find out for yourselves !!
"Mine to Steal (Mine to Love #2)" by T.K. Rapp 5 out of 5 stars
Fun, intense, and witty are all words I would use to describe the second book in the Mine to Love series by T. K. Rapp. I want to start off with a little advice. This book can technically be read as a standalone in the series. I would urge you to read "Mine to Love" first. I was only given this one to read and review but I don't like to start in the middle of a series so I purchased and read "Mine to Love" before I started this one. While not necessary, I think you get to know the main character so much better since he plays a dominant role in that book as well. OK, now that that's out of the way...
I really like Trey. I really liked him in the previous book as well...in fact I had a hard time not rooting for him to get the girl (Emogen). But, I'm glad he didn't because his sparks with Faith are so much better than any he had with Em. Trey is an all around amazing guy! He's intelligent, a savvy businessman, determined, sexy, and just plain fun. He has a quiet command of every scene he is in and I love that his "alphaness" is not in your face but subtle. He knows he is good at his job but he's still open to compromise and new ideas. I love that he's not afraid to tell Faith what he wants and is willing to stand his ground on it even if that means losing her. I was seriously sad to end the book just because I had so much fun hanging out in his head.
Faith is complex. While she's not a damsel in distress, she's still holding on to painful memories of her past. Faith has a wall erected and it firmly says to stay away from all things involving Trey and his family. Fortunately for her Trey doesn't pay attention and blazes through her walls intent on making her get to know the real man, not the one she has made up in her mind. It's definitely not smooth sailing but it's oh so worth the journey.
Rapp's style is very fluid. Chapter flowed into chapter and I was loathe to put the book down. She does a great job of developing her characters and really bringing the reader into the story. I was already very invested in Trey from the first book and I loved being inside his head and learning more about him in this installment. Rapp did a great job of setting him up for his own story in the first book and seeing it through to fruition here. Likewise she has set up a couple of different characters for the next one in the series and I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve next! I can definitely recommend this one as well as the first one in the series. You won't go wrong with this author.
*I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*
Mine to Steal by T.K. Rapp was a story that I didn't expect but thouroughly enjoyed! As I began the prologue, I was expecting a book about a athletic good-looking guy who was madly in love with a girl, Emogen, who was in love with someone else, and their struggle to finally come together. Boy was I wrong! Even though I was wrong about the path the plot was going to take, I really enjoyed where the story went and I would rate it 3.5 stars and recommend it to others!!!
"Then what was it like? One minute you're looking at me like you want me, and the next you're raking me across the coals because I'm Jett's brother; I'm starting to get whiplash, and it's only been a day."
Trey's primary focus is on growing the business that he started four-years ago and dating comes last, after he walked away from the girl he thought he loved because she didn't feel the same. With his brother Jett joining his business, he is focusing on gaining the marketing and PR contract of a big sporting goods store. The night before he flies to Chicago to give his big pitch, he has a one night stand that he can't stop thinking about, and when that one night stand turns out to be his competition for the contract things get interesting.
Faith Young is an up and coming PR Manager for Rock Solid, the company that Trey used to work for before going out on his own and she is in an "open" relationship with his nemesis Brad. She has been in love with Trey Miller since she was a little girl, and when she saw him across the room in the bar that night, the feelings that she had almost a decade before resurfaced and resulted in a night of mind blowing sex. She wants to be with Trey but something that happened when they were children holds her back.
"As if she can sense my eyes on her, she turns and our eyes meet, and I know something has changed. But I'm not sure what it is yet."
Trey is honest with Faith and tells her that he wants to be with her, and he also wants to give her a job at his firm because they make a great team. But Brad gets in the way of her career and her love for Trey by twisting a situation so that Trey looks bad and he looks good. You will have to read to see what I am talking about!
One of the things that I really enjoyed about this book was the fact that the first-person narrator was the hero, which is uncommon in romance novels. At the beginning of the novel (which is the second in the series), Trey Miller has just told the woman he loves, his long-time friend Emogen, that he can't keep loving her from afar, and that she should go and be happy with her fiance. Telling her to leave causes Trey to find himself in a bar, where he has a hot one-night stand with a beautiful stranger. He finds himself thinking about that stranger constantly until he realizes that stranger isn't really a stranger, but rather someone he grew up with. The plot continues to thicken when Trey finds himself going head to head with Faith Young, the not-really-a-stranger, as they fight for a public relations account. He also finds out that Faith has a boyfriend, so Trey is once again faced with the decision to pursue a woman whose heart is already engaged or decide that Faith is his to steal.
As previously mentioned, I really enjoyed the book. Enough that I want to go back and read the first book in the Mine to Love series. I like the fact that the narrator is the hero, as it gives interesting insight into how a man falls in love and how he reacts to being the one left out in the cold, as it were. There are a few sex scenes, but they are not truly explicit, and are, in fact, largely off-stage. The fact that the sex scenes fit well within the context of the novel, and are not thrown in gratuitously, is another point in the novel's favor. The characters are flawed and authentic and for much of the last third of the book, I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. There isn't a cliff-hanger ending, which is another good thing the book has going for it. There is a happily ever after ending, but the road to happiness sure is bumpy. As I have also already mentioned, this is not the first book in the series, but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I do want to read the first book, but only because the author has lured me in with excellent characters, engaging dialogue and a well-written story.
No Doubt this book is a winner! Trey is a good guy that gets the wrong end of the stick when it comes to women. I loved Trey. His character is hard working and not afraid to get his hands in the kool-aid kind of guy. Faith is a go-getter and the best in her field of work. She has had a crush on Trey since high school. Faith lost her big brother and has baggage about this. She does not trust the Miller boys what so ever. A one-night stand with her crush changes the dynamic of their relationship forever.
I was drawn into the story immediately and could not put it down until the last word. The story is witty, emotional and angsty. Jett, Trey’s brother is a great secondary character and I hope he gets his own book.
This book is told from Trey’s POV. I loved that best about this book. We do not get to see the man’s POV very often and it works great or this book. I was also pleased that the sex in this book left everything to your imagination. Very PG-13 due to cussing.
Ms. Rapp’s writing flows beautiful to the last page. I hope to see more of Trey and Faith through Jett’s book. I would highly recommend this book to all. I did not read the first book in the series and felt as though I missed nothing. Can be read as a stand-alone. I will be picking up Mine To Lose (book 1) just because I enjoyed the writing and story in Mine to Steal.

The few times we’ve kissed have left me torn between shoving her out the door and dragging her to my room to see where it might lead. But this kiss is goodbye.
And for the record, in case you didn’t know, I do love you, Faith. I love every infuriating, beautiful, and untouchable part of you.
“The idea of you always made me excited, but the reality of you in my life and in my heart is better than anything I could imagine.”
The way that he looks at me, like I’m the most special person in the world, makes my heart tighten, He has o way of knowing the extent of my love for him.
Okay, so a review without rehashing the plot and giving away any plot details...let's do this.
Having never read the first book in the series, I was really surprised how well this read as a standalone book. Anything from the previous book was told in as much detail as needed and then the reader is brilliantly transported into the new story without feeling lost or confused.
So this story, aah, so good. Contemporary romance with a twist, it's from a male perspective, and it's awesome. Trey Miller isn't your typical bad boy that graces every book I've read recently. He doesn't have some deep dark secret just waiting to get out and shock the reader with his dark and twisted past. He's just an awesome, sexy, CEO, gorgeous business man, did I mention how hot he was? So HOT!
The story has a cool little twist between the characters, that the reader sees way before the characters do. I loved the interactions between the main characters Faith and Trey. It was playful, sexy, flirting at its best and made me smirk and chuckle along with them.
My favorite character by far though had to be Jett--Treys younger brother. He's so cocky and un-charming, yet totally made me grin like a school girl every time he graced the pages, and thankfully TK makes sure he graces them a lot. Yay!
The ending had me sniffling, and smiling all at the same time, and when I finally closed the book...I went and bought book one so I could get more of my fill of Trey, and find out how this gorgeous, sexy male became the loving man he is.
With so many books that portray the main male character as dominant and alpha, it’s refreshing to find one that portraits the guy in touch with his feelings and vulnerable. Don’t get me wrong, Trey is not a wimp by any means, but it shows a different side of a man fighting for what he wants.
Trey thinks he's in "love" with his friend Em and is brokenhearted when she chooses another guy over him. He throws himself at work and becomes a workaholic with no time for a social life. But then his brother Jett comes to work for his company and to live with him, convincing Trey to live it up a bit. He takes him out to a club one night where he sees himself attracted to a beautiful girl across the room, they take the plunge and have a wild night that neither of them is soon to forget. What started as a chance encounter becomes a business relationship and then a heartfelt friendship between Trey and Faith.
One little detail though, Faith already has a boyfriend, and even though they have an "open policy" when it come to the relationship, her boyfriend is not going to make it easy for either of them to move forward.
I truly loved this story, it had a few unexpected turns that added a bit more to the storyline and made it more interesting that it already was. I loved the secondary characters! Jett was a hoot and he sure deserves his own book (hint, hint.) Hattie is sweet and loyal to her boss and a great addition to the team. I adore the relationship Trey has with Kay-la and the joking between them.
This is not an erotic story, it is a heartfelt, sweet and romantic story that will make you rooting for the guy to get the girl of his dreams.
Well written, lovely characters, that will keep your interest from beginning to end.
I found this book to be an excellent light read and I think it would make a wonderful romantic comedy movie. A lot of books these days are just page after page of gut wrenching drama and angst and while I appreciate that sometimes I long for a lighter read. Mine to Steal manages to straddle that line between drama and humor in an ingenious way. T.K. Rapp has a very quick and genuine sense of humor that had me in fits of giggles. Pretty much the whole book is told from Trey’s point of view which refreshing, because Trey’s character is so loveable. He’s sentimental, caring, and has a very sarcastic personality. He’s also a hard worker and I think men who are good at their jobs are sexy!! The book starts off rather unfortunate for Trey; he gets friendzoned (hardcore!) by a girl named Emogen. Still licking his wounds he runs into a smokin’ hottie at a club and they share a night of anonymous monkey business….but it turns out not to be as anonymous as he thinks. Faith (the one-nighter in question) grew up in the same neighborhood as Trey and has always had a thing for him. She’s had a lot of hardship in her life and has turned into a bit of ballbuster….not the sweet girl that Trey sort of remembers. Faith, I liked quite a bit, because I’m a bit of a ballbuster myself. Although I really can’t understand her attachment to her craphead of a boyfriend, Brad. And there were parts of the book that I was annoyed with Faith but I think the author wanted that emotion because it injected some tension into the story. Poor Trey thinks he’s about to get friendzoned again which makes for some really interesting scenes between him and Faith. I think this book was conceptualized well and the author managed to evoke emotion but also keep a light tone to the book.
This was a cute read and very funny at times, I found myself laughing out loud. I thought it was a good read but was way to long at times. I felt it would have been a better read if a few things had been left out. I am giving this a 3.5 and rounding it up to a 4 star. I did find my mind wondering at times. I just felt like more was written then need to be which made the story move slow. The book did have some twist and turns which made it more interesting. I do have to say I like the first book in this series better not saying this was bad just the other one held my attention better. This does have a wonderful story line, I just wish the words flow would have been easier.
Trey has wants his friend but she picked someone else. He doesn’t want to get married just wants to be more than friends. When she goes back to her ex he decided he must move on. He has a one nightstand but can’t get the women out of his mind. He sure wishes he wasn’t so drunk that he could remember more of that night. He goes away on business and sees a woman that he is sure he knows. They talk and he remembers where he saw her in his bed last night.
Sparks fly when these two are together, it is really very amusing. It seems Faith had a crush on him in school everyone knew but him. They find they are both after the same contact, and end up working together. She is one spit fire as well as a woman he wants and will not let the other man win this time. He goes after what he wants and this time he will win.
I found the characters to be wonderful I totally adore them. The twist the author gives you keeps you interested enough to want to finish the book. I thought it was to long but worth the read.

Although I wasn't expecting an epic duel or battle to death in this book, I was a bit disappointed in the whole idea of "winning her". I suppose my idea of what the book may be about according to the synopsis was in another direction than the author had intended. It was not what I expected but in a "meh" way not a jaw dropping "OMG" kind of way. I didn't feel the leading female was in a relationship nor was in a place to be "stolen" so felt that the title didn't quite fit.
Some of the characters I loved. Trey was pretty awesome and had charm, looks, and wit. I loved his digs every now and then and his old fling who kept trying to hook him up...HILARIOUS! I did like the humor in it all. But then there were the usual annoying characters. I DID NOT care for Cal, Trey's womanizing little brother. I just didn't feel him nor his importance to the book. Yea he played a major role but if I was Trey and found out about what Cal had done I don't think I would have been so cool about it and if I was Cal I would have more of a guilty conscious. It just didn't add up.
Then there is Faith *sigh and hangs head*. I am all for an independent and fierce woman, but all that act was a façade of a sly and manipulative person. Reading past her smarts and intellect she uses her body to get what she wants, takes digs when needed, plays people and most of all I feel she was not good enough for Trey. He deserved better.
The ending saved it a bit for me. And you will have to read it all the way through to get there and know what I am talking about *wink*
Loved this. The writing style lends itself to suck you in and not let you go. Drew is a great guy. He tries sometimes to come off as a momo but he is really a great guy. He is fair and honest in life and business. Em really did a number though and it pushed him into work mode. That is until he saw her.
Faith fixated him from the moment he saw her. But alas she walked away. Or so we thought. Turns out they are vying for the same contract. Competition does get the heart and juices flowing. And here is no exception. There barbs at each other are so much fun to read. So light and had so many double entendre that is is entertaining and has you waiting anxiously for more. These two fall hard for each other but deny it. what was confusing was Faith's distrust of all things that have to do with Drew and his brother. That is until it's explained to him. Drew has a dislike for Faith's boyfriend Brad. With good reason. These two go barb for barb and it will put a smile to your face.
They end up having to work together and some things happen that aren't good. She lets her past feelings about him and his brother take over and doesn't trust him. Drew lets go he doesn't feel that he needs to justify himself. But he doesn't really let go he decides to prove himself to her and that was a blast to see him set up Brad.
In the end, love does rule out and the heart wins. What I loved though was all the banter between Faith and Drew and Drew and his brother. Oh and his friend Kayla with her "friends" those were hysterical.
A great fun book of romance and laughter. One to enjoy on a rainy day, at the beach or just when you want to curl up with a light read.
I don't think that I have read a book in a long time that I actually felt bad for the male lead in the story, but in this book I couldn't help it. I loved Trey in the first book in the series Mine to Lose. Even though I was not suppose to want Try and Emogen together in that book, I did, and in the end when she went back to her old boyfriend Ryan I was heartbroken for him. Although I knew that he would have his HEA, although I didn't realize what a roller coaster ride it was going to be.
I was not sure if I was going to like Faith at first. She seemed kinda wishy washy and back a forth with her boyfriend. At one point she uses him to push Trey away and the next she is telling us that her boyfriend actually lives in Chicago and that they have an open relationship. I have to say though by the end of the book I was pretty much in love with her and hoping for the best for this happy couple.
The chemistry between these 2 is excellent. We find out in the book that Trey and Faith actually have a history together. They grew up in the same town and Faith had a school girl crush on Trey. When Trey's brother plays a cruel trick on her, she is pretty much thrown threw a tailspin to hate the brothers. I love some of the interaction with Trey and his brother and Faith and Trey's brother. It is pretty funny and at times brought a much needed form of laughter to balance out the craziness of the book.
There is plenty of drama and laughs in this book to make it a fun read.
I rated Mine to steal with four and one half leaves. If you are like me and have read Mine to Lose, then you have wanted to know for a while now what happened to Trey. TK Rapp knows what her readers want and Mine to Steal is just that. Mine to Steal starts off with Trey trying to get over Emogen, the girl he thought was the one. He throws himself into his work, which is easy because he owns his own company. He is so busy with work that his brother, Jett, is coming to stay to stay with him and help out around the office. Jett likes to party and when he gets to town wants to take Trey out for a night full of drinking and dancing. Being that Trey doesn't drink very often, the drinks that he does have with Jett really effect him and he has a night he can barely remember with a girl he will never forget. Faith has moved on from her hard past. She's had to suffer a loss that no one at her age should go through and on top of that, she was teased about the boy she had a crush on. Faith has grown up and is very successful in her career. That's why when she sees the boy she grew up pining for at the local bar, she couldn't resist herself. I would hate to giveaway any spoilers because this book is well worth the read. This book felt very realistic and keep me reading from beginning to end. I love reading anything by TK Rapp and Mine to Steal definitely didn't disappoint!
A gifted copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review by Lo.
OMG I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I love Trey! He is the sweetest guy ever! The BIGGEST sweetheart! He is the most understand guy ever in a book. Not that he approves of everything Faith does or get mad, but he seems to get it and is patient. He doesn’t push her. He waits.
We first met Trey in Mine to Lose. He was the “other” guy. The stand in while Emogen was to figure out what she wanted. He must have learned a thing or two from that experience because he didn’t have as much patience with her. I liked Trey in Mine to Lose, but I fell totally in love with him in Mine to Steal. TK Rapp did an amazing job doing a compete book in a guy’s POV.
Faith, what can I say about Faith. Hmmm…I loved her. She is the perfect book chick. She makes Trey a better person. And she gets him. Yes, they have a past. A way back in their childhood past that he doesn’t ever really know about. But she does. And she was able to look past that. She knew he was a better person then what she perceived as a kid.
This book has a bit of a love triangle (even if you don’t like love triangle book, read this, it’s not bad), it has a bit of deceit, it has love, it has people growing to be better people. It has everything you want in a book. And it’s done so so so well. There is angst, but just enough. Nothing is pushed for the sake of it just being there. Everything that happens, works. Go read it to find out exactly what I’m saying, you won’t regret it.
Trey Miller is a successful CEO of his own advertising agency but lacks success in his own love life. The closest thing for falling in love was being infatuated with a female friend. When the opportunity strike to woo her, he ends up being the good guy and threw her back to her ex boyfriend who she ends up marrying.
Work is what he keeps him going as he tries to land a large account but he has a rival in Faith Young an promising promoter who works in the same company that he used to work before he set up his company. He has his work cut out since she is known for her successful landing of jobs.
Before they actually meet up, they had a one night stand while he was drunk and did not even know her name before she left in the middle of the night. Then they meet up vying for the same account was it fate as they keep running into each other. As they end up both splitting the job, they paths are further connected.
Are they destined for each other as they attracted to each other but Faith has a boyfriend? Can Trey fight this time for his happiness or will he let go? How far will you go for the one you love and clear their name and your own?
It is a tale of fighting for what is right even when it is easier to let go. And sometimes you can actually obtain your first love in the future.
I got this as an ARC for my honest review. I gave it 4.5 stars. I enjoyed this book. Instead of the main character being a female, it was male which was different. It was all about the good guy.
Trey is the good guy and always has been. Instead of fighting for a girl he likes, he's the good guy and let's her go to the guy who loves her more. When his boss' won't listen to him about how things go wrong, Trey doesn't fight, instead, he starts up his own company. He's the good guy but instead of finishing last, it gets him to where he needs to be. The only thing Trey is missing though, is someone in his life.
Trey thought he may have fallen in love with Emogen, but she was never really his. He know she's not his. He then throws himself into work. His brother comes into town to help him at work, which I thought would be a disaster, but it wasn't. He gets Trey to go out and have some fun where he meets a girl at a bar and some fun!
Then it's off to catch a new client. However, it's not exactly as he thought. Trey actually has to spend time with his competition and it just so happens, it's someone he knows. Faith works for the competition that Trey left to begin his own company. It's a fight to the finish and he finally realizes, some things are worth fighting for.
This book was given to me for an honest review 3 stars
This is my first time reading this author and I have to say it was a cute book. I enjoyed trey very much. I actually thought he was a standup guy that had some bad luck with woman.
that had quirks of her own. Loved how the author used a lot of sceneries to give you more of a understanding of the surroundings. Also the author did a good job in switching up a typical book and gave it some twists. Now what I was frustrating was how it began. It starts with one situation but is not dealt with and then trey jumps into another situation that I think only made things worse. although the book was good, there were some things like how they kept bumping into each other all of a sudden was weird. Faith new treys friends cousin an noone knew, its just a little a typical for me.
Trey is in love with a girl that is in love with someone else. So trey tries to let go. That night he sleps with a girl that he doesn't even know. Coincidently, he now know she is his competition for a job. Faith has known trey forever and now she has to compete for a job. What happens when you want each other, but need to win a job. Well of course fight dirty.
This book was good. I enjoyed this author and hopefully I'll be able to read more from this author. Sent from my NOOK
Trey Miller wasn't able to be with the woman he wanted because she wanted someone else. Em and Ryan are happy and he has walked away. He is a good guy in business and in life and his business is becoming successful. He is up against Faith Young for an important account and while he is quickly attracted to her, he starts to del more as he spends time with her laughing and arguing. She is in another relationship, but her boyfriend is not what he seems and for the first time Trey realizes that he is going to have to fight for what he wants rather than just walk away broken hearted.
Trey is very easy to like. He is smart, sexy, and ethical. Faith is easy connect to as well. It is obvious that she is talented at what she does and is trying to make a name for herself. Watching them work together and both become greater at the work they were doing was rewarding. It was hard to see them both be so obviously attracted to one another, but having outside interference come between them. Learning about their childhood connection was endearing and it was great to see Faith find what she was looking for after experiencing a lot of hurt and betrayal in her life. This was a good story and I would read more by this author in the future.

Trey Miller is the ultimate good guy. He is always willing to sacrifice his needs and wants for the benefit of others except in the workplace. Trey is the CEO of his own advertising agency and is determined to obtain the contract of a lucrative client. Trey is invited to spend the weekend with the client for a little camping, kayaking and fishing. Upon arrival Trey meets his competition Faith Young. She is smart and savvy and also determined to win the contract. Unfortunately, Faith is also the woman that Trey had a drunken, one night stand with. Both are determined to ignore the chemistry between them and concentrate on business. The contract is granted but to both of them. Forced to work together Trey and Faith grow closer but as always there are obstacles. Faith has a boyfriend. Is Trey willing to do the right thing and walk away or fight for what he wants? I enjoyed this book. It was well written and the progress of the love story was well paced. I also liked that it was told from Trey’s point of view. That’s kind of rare in romance books. I think Trey’s brother is really the stand out character in this story. He is unashamed to voice his inappropriate opinion and I hope he finds his way into a story of his own.
