His father has asked him to try to join one of the Crews of Damon’s Mountains. When the new Fastlander Crew starts accepting applicants, Ace puts his name in the hat on a whim. Will the new Alpha ever allow him to be a part of his Crew? Not if he finds out who he really is. Ace has been hiding a secret about his lineage since he was a child, and now the Fastlanders are getting way too close for comfort. And to add to the pressure, there’s a human coordinating the Crew’s interview process that has his animal’s attention. At first he thinks his animal is hunting her, but the more he gets to know her, the more he realizes she is important. Corey Gable just might be the glue of the Fastlanders, and she doesn’t even realize her part in the destiny of this Crew. The problem? It’s twofold. One, he cannot under any circumstances bond to a human, and two? His life is in a free fall, and he cannot drag her into what is about to happen. If she wants to live, she’s got to stay human, and stay away from the Fastlanders. And most importantly? She has to stay away from Ace.
Corey Gable has lost someone she loves.
Corey’s cousin, Hallie, has been consumed by her new life with the shifters of Damon’s Mountains, and she’s left Corey behind. The only way to maintain her relationship with her cousin is to get involved in her new life—the ups, the downs, all of it. When Corey is roped into helping with the interview process of creating the new Fastlanders Crew, there are definitely some interesting characters who want the invite. One of them is tall, dark, and mysterious, and there’s something about him that keeps drawing her in—but he has big warnings for her. She’s messing with a destiny that could be the end of her life as she knows it. She wants to heed his advice, truly she does, but there’s just something about the mysterious stranger. And the more she finds out about who he is, the more she thinks she couldn’t leave him alone if she tried.
Don’t miss this illuminating next installment of T. S. Joyce’s brand-new Fastlanders series. Damon is expanding his mountains, and this will be the Crew to change it all.
****Content Explicit spicy love scenes, naughty language, and piles of sexy shifter secrets. Shifter animal battles and wars for territory lines show up in most of these books, which includes action adventure and some violence. Intended for mature audiences.
T.S. Joyce is devoted to bringing hot shifter romances to readers. Hungry alpha males are her calling card, and the wilder the men, the more she'll make them pour their hearts out. She werebear swears there'll be no swooning heroines in her books. It takes tough-as-nails women to handle the shifters of Bear Valley.
She lives in a tiny town, outside of a tiny city, and devotes her life to writing big stories. Foodie, bear whisperer, ninja, thief of tiny bottles of awesome smelling hotel shampoo, nap connoisseur, movie fanatic, and zombie slayer, and most of this bio is true.
Bear Shifters? Check Smoldering Alpha Hotness? Double Check Sexy Scenes? Fasten up your girdles, ladies and gents, it's gonna to be a wild ride.
Wow! I just have fallen deeper for the Fastlander crew.
I waited so long for Gunner's story and boy did it not deliver? I knew then that this series was going to be special. Joyce hits us with Fallen and let me say she is at the top of her game in this story. Ace and Corey's story brings us to the turning point of the Fastlander crew. Hell, Damon even makes his appearance. This has it all laughter, action and a beautiful love story or should I say stories. Who could ask for more, I can because I can't wait to read what happens next. These stories have hooked me into a world that I feel is so real and genuine that I have fallen deeply for Damon's Mountain. Joyce your writing has become a beautiful art work from which your canvas continues to inspire your readers.
This one was so chaotic at the start and I felt bad for Corey for getting shoved to the side. When she went to see Hallie the chaos was crazy! It was fun to see Corey be herself, which normally would turn people off, yet the shifters, especially Ace, seemed to find her funny.
It was fun to see Corey and Ace dance around each other and try the friendzone, even though you knew that was the last thing that was going to happen.
Things go very crazy at the end when a Novak showed up and did the unthinkable, yet it was better than what the other option that could happen.
It will be interesting to see what happens now with this crazy crew and if the thing that was "seen" actually happens.
Corey is Hallie’s cousin, whom we meet in the previous Fastlander book. Ace is a shifter who is looking to join Gunner’s Crew but what his animal is, is unknown to the others - even though Owen is trying desperately figure it out as they proceed through the process of getting in🧐
Suffice to say I loved this new chapter in the Fastlanders and I’m excited to see where we go❣️I will say there were a couple of surprises - the first one being exactly what Ace is and the others….you’ll have to find out by reading😉
I am glad we're back in Damon's mountains and the crew camaraderie. Ace has a very interesting and sad past but it made for quite the reveal when his shifter came out. 4 stars
We finally get to meet the Fastlanders in this book. Corey's mate is Ace. He's a lion, and the messed up pride want him to come back and be king, or kill him. One of those. But that isn't the only reason he's been hiding.
Corey has been feeling left out of Hallie's new life, and lonely, but she's not sure she wants to join the chaos and danger of a shifter crew.
I like Corey, Ace and Owen. Wreck seems okay, too. Captain is a mess. I felt like Corey's backstory is a bit sparse. She seems weirdly alone in the world. Also, most of the shifters who interview for the crew disappear without so much as a line of dialogue.
The romance was fun. I'll probably read the next one.
‘Ace was making his move. Some people stayed in the same place their whole lives, scared of change, but he was really doing this. He was changing his stars, and fly or fail, he was going to own his destiny. H€ll yeah. It was inspiring watching him be so in charge and in control, so well-spoken and strong. And he’d kissed her. Kissed her until she forgot where she was. Until nothing in the world existed but the two of them. Okay. This man sure had her attention.’
TS Joyce writes romance that leaves a reader’s heart pumping and their soul immersed in love.
As Corey attempts to find where she fits in now that her cousin is engaged to the Fastlander Crew’s shifter leader, she is feeling left out and empty. Confronting Hallie about her feelings, she ends up meeting Ace, a shifter who has a huge secret.
Now, it is very important to note there is a bagel involved and its symbolism is a turning point for this whole crew, but especially quirky Corey.
There is such fun reading Joyce’s books, as the C-Team comes out strong and we learn about some old friends and new ones.
Both main characters were lots of fun here. I kind of liked that the author incorporated a different paranormal than most of the rest of the Damon's mountains characters. The MFC is hilarious - both confident and vulnerable at this moment in her life. A couple of her unique oddnesses,
“Admission: sometimes she grated a pile of sharp cheddar and ate it for dinner, and so far, she had no regrets.”
And
“Yet another sign she could never live with shifters, because Ace had been all like ‘I want a sandwich’ after he had nearly gotten clawed to death, and her eyes were watering from dropping a damn cell phone onto her face.”
The banter between characters is direct, and awkward, and honest all at once which I always enjoy in this author's work,
“You’re going to dance with gas-station boy over me?” Owen scoffed. “Do you know who I am?” “Currently you’re a douchebag,” Hallie pointed out. “And a fun-squasher.”
I found the uncertainty of the MMC frustrating, just like the MFC did. But she handled it really well, not letting him off the hook for what he said and making him be clear when he finally made up his mind. She was delightful.
Gunner needs to build a crew, so he’s set out a call for members. As you can imagine, it’s a veritable storm of amusement for us. This was even more insta love than usual. I think the entire courtship was… two days. Corey is Hallie’s cousin whom she stayed with why hiding from her ex. They used to do everything together, and now Corey is feeling left out since Hallie shacked up with Gunner. She races off to confront her after a missed breakfast date, and due to an unfortunate event with a bagel attracts the attention of Ace’s animal. Just a little bit. The crew building is what made this so much fun. As we’re accustomed, they’re all a bunch of weirdos with problems and lacking boundaries and they just make everything in here work. The group dynamics are what bring me back to these books time and time again. It drops hints about bigger things happening in the world, but I’m happy with firepits and barbeques.
This is book two in the Fastlanders series. I am a huge Ace fan and it’s fantastic. I wish this book was longer because it was so entertaining. The secret that Ace is protecting combined with Corey trying to stay in her cousin Hallie’s life now that she is Gunner’s mate. Corey is the best and her honest words and phrases had me. You will enjoy this story just on the dialogue. I was hurt for Corey that Hallie kind of forgot her after she put Corey in danger from Hallie’s evil ex-boyfriend. Corey is one of those true BFF and protector. Hallie felt not as invested in their relationship. Honestly somehow I missed reading this book in order, but pro tip both Captains’s and Wreck’s books are so good too. I enjoyed this book and all the familiar characters. Looking forward to more with this family. 1010 Read On!
Vampire Lion King?!?! ❤️ I did NOT see that coming!
Ace and Corey's story seemed short and a bit anticlimactic, I guess, after everything that led to this new crew.
Novacs attack again, and so another Novak Bear is born! Love me some Lucia. I like how the damage seemed to have gone 360, and the Warlanders were on the offensive this time around, hoping their actions were understood. Gunner was banished. That understanding was nowhere to be found. But I digress cause I'm team Gunner!
Fastlander Crew is complete! I think 🤔 I know what Wreck is, but then.... Vampire Lion King 🤷🏾♀️. Anything goes this go around!
Can't wait to see what is next! Note to self: by more bagels 🥯 😘
Ace and Corey's story was going along pretty good until it didn't at the end. For me as the reader, I needed a little bit more towards the end to make it complete. Other than that everything went well, just a little disappointed at the end. I've read all these stories by this author. I own every one of them. I needed more dialogue with Beaston. I can't say this was a cliffhanger but it just needed more. I don't like cliffhangers anyways. I'm hoping this author realizes that sometimes we need just a little bit more to make things complete.
I can say that aces backstory is very intriguing and even sad. Corey is definitely the missing piece to him. They are definitely well matched. The secondary characters are cool. They all bring something great to the table.
Alright, it's been a while since I left a written review of one of Ts books but here we are.
This story hit so hard with me, traumatised cousin ✅️ receptionist at a dentist ✅️ the place holder girl until the guy finds someone better ✅️ Queen of Friend zone ✅️ I cried, hard, full on body wrecking sobs, as Corey went through the bs of the friendzone, there was something so deep and resonating with this that I felt like I was being cracked open and for all my disasters to be displayed.
The character growth and development of all characters is exceptional as always and the plot twist at the end made me so mad I wanted to channel my inner Captain, throw Owen off a building and pout, alot.
This is such a great book. I was chuckling inside from the start of this book til the end. Corey is such a quirky woman. She just lays it out there and is confident and funny as heck. She and Ace have such fun banters that it made this a super fun book. Ace is calm and dominant with a ton of power who’s good at holding it in. He’s logical and voice of reason most of the time. He’s the best Hero that’s a great match for our heroine. There’s lots of sweet moments that gives all the feels. The plot was also interesting with good amount of activities/action. This was a great book and I can totally see me reading this again for the laugh and feel good and tender moments. I highly recommend this book and series.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND FINDING THE SERIES THAT COMES BEFORE THIS ONE
I've read the second book and this series gets so much better the overall story continues. This series isn't really a standalone
The author has a 1000 other shifter books so it's hard to know what one your supposed to read first but this book completely spoils that series without giving enough information to make sense. This should have just been an additional boom to original series.
There is something to be said for an author recommending a previous series at the start of books.
That being said I adore the second book and would give a way higher rating if I wasn't so irritated about being mislead that this was its own series
Fastlanders book 2. An unbelievable fascinating read. Ace and Corey are a match made for the gods. The back and forth between the two is simply fanfreakingtastic. Ace came to apply to Gunner's new crew. He meets Corey and the rest is a crazy, twisty, nail biting, funny as hell story. Corey is everything good. She is confident, funny, smart, direct and a kind soul. Ace is total alpha badass. They enjoy each other as the crew is being put together. Ace has some serious secrets that can upend everything. This book is dramatic, gritty, twisty, hilarious, angsty and oh so tingle worthy. BTW, I adore Owen and Captain and I can't wait to see Wreck.
Corey is feeling , lonely and forgotten by her cousin since she found her mate Gunner. She feels like being a biatch to her since she has forgoten so many of their regular meal dates. She decides she's going to show up at her place and throw a bagel at her, her aim is all wrong though. Has she made a friend for life with a bagel?
Ace is a mystery to all, nobody knows what his inner animal is. Gunner is forming the Fastlanders Crew and he promised his dying father he would join a crew, so here he is. This crazy girl shows up and throws a bagel at him, huh? That is a sign for sure!
Read what Corey's anger gets her, you will laugh a bunch while you do.
4.25 stars I’m ecstatic when a book exceeds my expectations. I waded into the world of animal shifters not expecting a lot, to be perfectly honest. T.S. Joyce is a new-to-me author, and I had relatively low expectations.
We met Hallie's cousin Corey in book one, and I loved her character from the moment she opened her mouth. Corey is hilarious, smart, and a great best friend. I was thrilled to find out she was the heroine of book two. For a character so awesome, she had to be paired with the perfect hero—and Ace did not disappoint. I couldn’t have loved him more.
I’m so glad I found this series, and I plan to go back and read some of Joyce's other works.
T s Joyce is amazeing, how she builds a family of characters you love, makes you want the next book as soon as you finish the one you’ve read, how my life is, I just disappear into Damon’s mountains and read the characters that are so endearing , the fights they have to deal with things we can understand in our lives, she writes magic, liturally magic, I pick up a book of hers and my worlds right and ok, her books are a must, it’s more than sexy bits, it’s the full beautifull picture
I love that we are staying back in Damon's Mountains, this book is filled with so much funny banter and joy, but there is an amazing over attaching plot that drags you under and takes over this story. Corey is funny and sweet and strong, and Ace is steady and very dominant and has quite a few secrets. Honestly I really adore this one, I connected with the characters so much, Corey felt like she had lost her friend, and was on the outside, it was really emotional at points. Can't wait for June, I just devour these books.
Keeping his last promise to his dead dad, Ace was in line waiting for his interview for Gunner’s crew when an angry human female tosses a bag with a fresh bagel to him Ace keeps telling her to take it back because it means something to his animal and Corey Gable unloads her troubles du jour on him, Gunner’s mate is her cousin, they were close now she’s all about shifters and leaving Cory behind, blah, blah, blah. The start of a fun meet as they exchange numbers and Ace advises being human among shifters and especially around him, isn’t a good look for long. Rating: 4stars
Ace is vying for a place in the Fastlander crew to honor his father's last request. Corey is around because her cousin, Hallie is mate to Gunner. No one knows what Ace is as Damon has protected him for some time. Ace tries to avoid attachment to Corey fearing harm would be the result of a shifter attaching to a human. This is a moving story with ample humor and the T. S. Joyce magic touches. Thanks for returning to Damon's Mountain.
What an amazing new CTeam crew this is turning out to be. I loved Damon’s mountains 10years ago I started this journey reading through these amazing characters and it’s fantastic to be brought back to this place I really do wish was real. I love TS Joyce’s writing style. You can’t help but wish the books were longer and longer as you get so invested in knowing more about them. Like they’re real! I love it.
As someone who appreciates a great story with memorable characters... I own almost all of T. S. Joyce books. You can't go wrong with this author and you definitely need to read all of the books centered on Damon's Mountains. Each of the characters touches a piece of your heart. Don't just take my word for it... Read the first book and you will see for yourself!
Oh wow my girls are now shifter, not the way they wanted, but as Lucia said "it had to be done." Loved how Ace came around before Corey was turned and so happy he's on the Fastlanders team. Damon Daye is growing his family because something big is coming, and I think it has to do with Ace. Can't wait to read Owen's story and even Captain too, although gawd help the woman that comes his way..big fan as always Winzie19🤗💞.
I am in love with the new crews of Damon's Mountains! The Fastlanders are awesome! It's great to see Gunnar growing into his position and himself. Ace is so cool! I liked him from the first time he appeared in The Warlanders series. I'm so glad he teams up with Corey. Her character was too good to disappear. She belongs in the Fastlanders. I am liking the twists and turns this series is taking. Can't wait to see what happens next!
I liked book one, and book two takes the next level up because it's Corey's turn to be bamboozled by a man amidst feeling left out and sorry for herself because Hallie is busy, but it turns out well for her and she bags her man, the sexy lion shifter whose got manners and is everything a girl could wish for. He is respectful and kind to her, but rough and struggling with his own woes. The two make dynamite and by the end of course they are together full time. A cracking story.
Corey is upset her cousin Hallie is hanging out with her new friends and not Corey. When Hallie stands her up again she drives over to Hallie and Gunners house to yell at her when she sees a yard full of Shifters. Still angry at Hallie she gives a bagel to A shifter named Ace. She doesn't know it yet but giving him that bagel meant something. Could they be more than just Friends? Great read
Fate has a funny way of paring people together when no one is expecting it. The cousin gets her story and a happy ending but there are obstacles she has to overcome. The non- registered shifter is hiding more than his animal. We get a sneak glimpse of what is to come in the near future. Great characters continue as a new crew is established. Looking forward to learning more details about the new members. Enjoy
I'm loving this return to Damon's Mountains and the new characters and their stories. Corey and Ace are perfect. The way they bantor back and forth is highly entertaining but it's the fact they get each other that makes them so special. If you've never read a TS Joyce book you don't know what you're missing. You will fall in love with her stories every time.
