Love this book and all by the same authors. They write in an interesting and detailed way, and you can tell a lot of work has been put into it (typical of the 80s and 90s books on this subject). I find that modern books of the same genre are superficial in comparison.

This was a very inspiring and intriguing book from the 80s on all kind of things that interest me since childhood days: eerie hauntings, Bigfoot, UFOs, spontaneous human combustion, ghosts, monsters in rivers, lakes, seas, spook lights, winged people and other non-humans, USOs, ghostly voices, objects falling from the sky, religious phenomena. The author also provides you with many photos and illustrations on her topics. At the end you'll find an overview on the locations worldwide. Love books like that and this was a very good one. Those mysteries are still as present as they were back then. Really recommended!

I was hoping for short anecdotes on strange events (UFO sitings, Bigfoot, whatever). What I found was brief parts of anecdotes strung together in a weak narrative that often promised more in further chapters. Ummmm...no.

I did give one star for the photo of Dr. John Irving's right leg, which is all that was left after he spontaneously combusted. That was entertaining.
