Marcus Alexander is Puffin's author of the Keeper of the Realms fantasy series. He's an action and adrenaline junkie with a background in gymnastics, parkour, pro-fighting, snowboarding and sandboarding. Marcus is also a champion of literacy and has built a strong reputation for inspiring today's youth to put aside their smart devices and pick up a book. “If anyone can make reading exciting for youngsters, it’s writer Marcus Alexander.” The Star
“I have never had such a successful author visit and the kids absolutely loved him…” Perins School “I was blown away by the focus he was able to inspire in a group of reluctant writers - to such a degree that their eyes followed his every move and their lips and bodies were stilled!” Kingsnorth Church of England School
"He was so enthusiastic – he was a performer as well as an author." St Albans School "A fabulous day discussing books with a free-running ‘cool dude’." Chancellors School "Please say a huge thank you to Marcus for his visit. He was excellent – even coping with our reluctant Y9 boys in the afternoon. The students loved his presentation…and thanks once again to Marcus for starting Library Fortnight off so brilliantly for us." Suffolk New Academy "Marcus delighted the children with his tales of travel around the world and with him being an extreme sports enthusiast, he enthralled and inspired with his photos of sand boarding in the Sahara and stories of climbing ice flows in the Khumbu Glacier. His animated presentation included action-packed video clips, travel photos, competitions, prizes and a Question and Answer session. Because of his adventurer life-style, Marcus was enthusiastically welcomed by all the children and even now, a few weeks after his visit, the children are still discussing his book and desperately keen to get hold of the second instalment!" Sherborne, Qatar “Marcus engaged and ignited the children’s imaginations with tales of his own adventures…he truly inspired every child and they certainly had an unforgettable day!” St George’s College Weybridge "I hope Marcus enjoyed himself - the children and schools loved him and the whole day was a great success." Hay Festival “…such a cool ‘dude’ that the books have been flying off the shelves in the library ever since!” Worthing High School "We've loved having Marcus with us on the Scribblers Tour for the last 2 years. His events are feel good and fun, encouraging creativity and positivity above all. We always have fantastic feedback from teachers and students alike who come away from his events inspired, excited and itching to get stuck into the books. For many young people Marcus overturns all expectations of writer; he's into extreme sports, travels the world and knows martial arts- he's cool." Scribblers Tour
this was a really good book, written by a really good author. i would definitely recommend this book to any teenagers, particularly those who think reading is dull. i enjoyed how every time the book seemed to be heading in one direction, it went off in a surprising new twist.
loved it and and wonder if any more will be written as one of them did get away so wonder if they could be another book or if there will be one about the one who did get away i loved all the books of this series good read even though they are for young adults i still think they were a great read for adults as well
Keeper of the Realms is a good middle grade fantasy that will work as a gateway for many young readers wanting to get into the fantasy genre. The book does suffer from notable issues, including awkward dialogue, leaps of logic, annoying characters, repetition and a lot of telling rather than showing. However, it will draw in younger readers and leave them hungry for more.
Captivating all the way through. Vivid details of the action and thoughts that put you into the landscape. New dilemmas and characters more massive than imagined riddled the world of Bellania. Everything became more and more tense and it keeps you reading. Recommended.
This is an amazing book series, however it lacks finality. I whish we got to meet her parents and i think there should be a bit about them training nibler to be a keeper, it isn’t a whole books worth but I’m not an author I’m sure he could come up with some evil to defeat so we can see niblers power.

I love the cover of this book 'cause I love dragons. About the novel, it was epic. I love how the story progresses and how Marcus tied it together. It's so vivid that I feel like the world really is existing. I hope there is more to it 'cause I will read it for sure.
So thrilled to finish an epic trilogy. Charlie is magnificent and I thought that everyone especially the kids should read this. Now, I wonder if Bellania is real or what? I need to know. Lol! I hope, I'll have Charlie's courage. This story will live with me forever.
Loved how unique Bellania is compared to other fantasy books. Marcus gave such twists to the 'standard' characters that made it more interesting. I had a new insight to such like Nibbler and the whole gang. You, yes you. Read this awesome book!
A fitting conclusion to the ending, but it took a while for me to get into book as for me the interesting were more towards the middle and the plot started quickening towards the end at the last 10 chapters.
This was a good conclusion to a very good trilogy. I loved how things ended up with a great deal of catharsis when all the bad guys were taken out with things that were introduced well and yet the battles were gripping. Yet I do like the conclusion of the book itself as well.
I love how the third book unravels Charlie's character. The character development is great but, I feel like, there is more to the story that must be told. I still enjoyed it.
I know it's a YA book, but I really enjoyed it. The action is fast-paced, the story is gripping, and the dragons finally show up! And there's lots of 'em.
The only thing that I would doubt about this book is the slightly disturbing hinted relationship at the end. If you know what I mean you know what I mean.
I didnt want this to end. I hope marcus writes some more stories about charlie keeper and the windged ones soon. I still think the idea of treesinging, stonesinging and keepers magic is good because it doesnt copy all the other normal fantasy ideas of magic. Even the dragons are different in these books.
Okay so this is now my best fantasy series ever. Charlie Keeper, Nibbler, the Tremen, the Winged Ones and even the baddies are amazing. This is an explosive finale to the trilogy and please please puhleeze turn this into an anime!
Marcus Alexander did it again! The book once again naturally forces you to continue reading it because of its journeys of ups and downs, as well as the plot twists. When you finished the book, you couldn't believe that the book have ended right at the part where you want to know more. Marcus had left you grasping for more information as well as leaving you hanging in dire need of more information.
