Okay... I didn't hate it. It was too little to be enjoyable though. I needed way more than that.

In this book, Ruby, our princess, is 25 and is feeling lonely and imprisoned within the palace walls. Her rebellious nature has her sneaking out the palace at night, to go dancing, the only thing she does that makes her feel alive and like herself. The King pays her little to no mind, but wants her protected and looked after so closely that she becomes the main security job for the palace guards, Roman and Gavin. Both are infatuated with her and deeply turned on by her beauty and innocence. Roman is newly hired help from an outsourced security agency, and Gavin has a long-standing position protecting the royal family. Gavin grew up with the royal family and had hoped to befriend the 6 siblings, Ruby's brothers when he was younger, but his dad always warned him that he was employeed by the royals and should never cross that boundary. And yet Gavin reminds himself of that every day as he guards the princess. Once Roman is hired and has settled into the palace, he learns that Ruby has an arrangement with a friend of the royal family to marry their son Henry. It wasn't until Henry visited the palace that it became evident that they were not at all romantically into each other at all. When Henry and his family arrive at the palace for a visit, that first night, they head to the Lane for dancing and the casino. Henry pays Ruby no attention as she glides across the dance floor. She is then approached by a man who offers her a drink and says that he is watching her and the royal family. His name is Tex, and he is a part of a religious organization, turned cult that wants to bring them down. Once Ruby is aware, she no longer feels rebellious by way of sneaking out the house. Safety is a priority. She then entertains herself with the conquest of Roman. Who, by the way, is a Dom. And so is Gavin. Flirtatious banter leads Roman and Ruby to the cliffs behind the garden of the palace, where he takes Ruby's virginity. She's enraptured by him and he of her, considering Roman doesn't have as much to lose as Gavin. Roman is only Ruby's guard temporarily. He's not a lifelong employee like Gavin. After the cliffs, Ruby realizes that she needs to meet with Henry and the King and call off the arrangement. In no way is she marrying Henry after that experience. An incident at the palace gates that night leaves the King uninterested in whatever conversation Ruby wants to have with him. He needs to get ahead of the press, as Tex's body was found outside. Henry doesn't bode the news well and insists they spend the day together to bond and nurture a relationship that is nonexistent. They leave the palace in Henry's fancy car. Her guards are unaware that she's left, and Henry lies and says that they are following behind. He gives her a flask of her favorite alcohol but he's drugged her somehow, and she's weak and losing consciousness. They drive to the ferry and head to the island where Henry lives until Roman and Gavin learn of this and demand the ferry to turn around despite the inconvenience to the other passengers. Henry has the princess in a chokehold, and Gavin rescues her. He would defend her to his death, although irritated that she got out the palace unbeknownst to him. Henry moves from the ground and gets to the ferry edge and jumps. A search team looks for him for hours. It's foggy and dark, and Henry doesn't resurface. Ruby is gaining full consciousness, and she can't believe what she just witnessed. Not arrogant Henry taking his own life. They head back to the palace. Roman sits in the back with Ruby while Gavin drives. The scene that unfolds on the drive back to the palace is top tier smut. That made me want to fast forward to book 2. Naughty princess. Back at the palace, Ruby learns that the food may be compromised, as they imagine how that was how Ruby was drugged. Ruby assures them that her only friend Gloria, who works in the kitchen, is innocent. It was Henry who kidnapped her and concocted that whole plan. No one listens, and Gloria is escorted out of the palace. Before the investigation of Tex can be resolved, Gavin learns that three of the Kings sons are now missing! Stay tuned......

This book was definitely not a bda book. It was pretty fast paces and I wish it was slower and more drawn out because more could have happened between Gavin and the Princess Ruby.

The book is about this princess names Ruby who is kept in the castle by her father and her two bodyguards Mr. Blackwood and new to the team Roman Kell. Roman has had a thing for the princess since he first laid eyes on her. Mr. Blackwell well he was going to retire until the princess came back from boarding school then he didn’t want to retire. He wants to protect the princess and the princess only though he became head of the security details for the castle. Her father is a deadbeat. He doesn’t care for her at lil actually. She tried to sneak out often and go clubbing and such but she’s busted often.

Roman and her hit it off with the help of Gavin. She’s very very innocent and it shows in the book but it works for her. She’s 25 and never done anything becuase she is kept locked away in the castle by her father’s order. Henry, a prince she is said the be dethroned to, winds up kidnapping her after tell her the next proof that the wedding was off. The wedding and enhancement that was sent in place when they were babies by their fathers was over. When she tried to speak to her father, the king, about it, he brushes her away like she is nothing more than a child throwing a tantrum. Henry takes her on a boat and was on the way back to his Island when Romana and Gavin show up and manage to get her away from him. Henry jumps overboard which ultimately kill shim and the body is never found. Romans tells her they she’s got the both of them in her corner. The books on the cliffhanger that the 3 royal princes have been taken.

It’s important to note this mafia alley the Tarnished Crowne. They have not been a problem in nearly a century but they are becoming an issue again. One of their member approaches Ruby in the club when she was out with others. He bruised up her hand and then disappeared into the night. Some times later in the book his body was found draped over the gates of the palace evident that he was bruise and beaten up. I think they have something to do with her kidnapping but what do I really know, I’ll need to read the next book to find out.

This is the 1st book in the Their Rebellious Princess series featuring the steamy, forbidden attraction, dominant bodyguards, menage, royal romance between Princess Ruby,Gavin and Roman. Gavin is tasked with protecting Princess Ruby who is desperate for some freedom and she's looking to escape her father's cruelty. Especially now that her father has chosen the man she's supposed to marry. Roman is headed to the palace in order to check for issues in security since the family coming to visit their son is betrothed to Princess Ruby. While Ruby is out she's approached by a member of a terror group who hurts her hand and leaves. Gavin and Roman talk about the situation while Ruby is hurting and scared so she goes for a walk. Roman finds Ruby splashing in the pool with Gavin watching her he tells Gavin how he she sent him on a wild goose chase. That's when they realize that they're both in the same lifestyle and they agree that Ruby has earned a punishment. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this steamy, forbidden attraction, dominant bodyguards, menage, royal romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Ruby seems like a generally nice princess. But she is so under her father's uncaring thumb that she is wilting as a person and desperate for a break. Gavin has been the security head for years. And is clearly torn between his personal feelings and his duty. I love how Roman (the second bodyguard) has come in and thrown a huge wrench into things. He and Gavin seem to clock each other immediately.

The romances are definitely separate but related as Roman and Gavin have their own personalities and concerns in addressing Ruby. But each is wholly aware and supportive of the other. And Ruby is into both her men. I knew the book was just part of a series but I was still bummed when it ended. Things were just getting crazy and I cannot wait for more.

The Princess and the Bodyguards

We finally get Roman's story in Their Rebellious Princess.
In true Calista Jayne fashion, we get a steamy story with just the right amount of suspense and action, along with plenty of heat.
I just love all the Easter eggs incorporated in from previous series.
Forbidden attraction, kidnapping, an uncaring parent, and two Daddy Doms. That is the life Princess Ruby finds in her life.
Their Rebellious Princess is book one of the new series, it does end on a cliffhanger, so be prepared.

Worth the read!

I got this book free from a Stuff Your Kindle on a whim because the cover was cute and discreet. I wasn’t expecting much.

But this story is genuinely so much fun?

I generally prefer MMF over MFM, but this one is written well enough that it feels natural and I’m finding that I really enjoy that.

The intrigue is picking up and I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book (which I bought immediately after finishing this one, because how could I now?). Hopefully someone clobbers that jackass king.

This is my favorite Calista Jayne book yet. I LOVE the characters. Love and feel sorry for and feel excited for Princess Ruby. This book is the first of a series and the HOT in this book probably leads to a lot of HOT in the next book. Book starts with Ruby seeing a scene in action and falling from an upper floor. To a scene she is in and calls Gavin and Roman daddy. This is a FABULOUS beginning to this series. Can hardly wait for the next book!

Ruby has never been allowed the freedoms that her brothers have enjoyed. She is always guarded by Gavin Blackwood, whose family has always worked for the monarchy. Then he brings in Roman Kell to help protect Ruby. Ruby is attracted to both Roman and Gavin but she has been promised from birth to someone else.

This book does have a cliffhanger.

This is a hot and steamy series opener and I have to say that I loved Princess Ruby ;) She's finally hit her max on all the rules her father has her under and boy does she get quite the adventure. Gavin and Roman are her guards and these two are quite dominant....and she has no problem calling them daddy ;P Lol! I enjoyed all the action, suspense, and spice in this first installment. I really can't wait for the next!

Seducing Her Bodyguards

Protecting the princess has never been so frustrating for Gavin until he asks his friend Roman to join him. However, they get more than they bargained for as Ruby wants to seduce them so she can be free to live her own life. This threesome will come together in ways that will define the course of their lives, except the cliffhanger at the end has me wanting to know more.

Book one in Their Rebellious Princess series. I was hooked from the first page and couldn't put it down. It's a quick and exciting read. The suspense and steamy scenes kept me intrigued and on the edge of my seat. Ruby, Gavin and Roman are wonderful characters with an intense and undeniable chemistry. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and definitely recommend reading this book.

not my cup of tea

A friend of mine raved about this book, highlighting its unique elements and engaging storytelling. I was really excited to dive in, but as I started reading, I found myself feeling a bit disconnected. Some of the tropes just didn’t click with my tastes. That said, there were definitely some moments in the plot that caught my attention and kept me intrigued! Overall, I really admire the creativity and effort that went into the writing, but it didn’t quite match my literary preferences, leaving me feeling a bit unsatisfied in the end.

the politics in this was mildly interesting (and i’m talking more milder than milk) and the plot had potential but i’m giving up on this mini-series because the effort is no where to be found!!

as far as smut goes this was easy with an interesting enough plot line that made it better than the average short smut. hoping for more.

Dnf at 30%. Spoiled immature fmcs aren’t my thing. Our princess acts about 10 years younger than she is and I can’t take it anymore. Add on bland mmcs and it’s not worth the time.

at first I was intrigued and excited for a fun, short read and then he started calling her “little girl” and himself daddydom and infantilising her and it gave me the biggest ick
I would like to know how the story continues since this one ended on a cliffhanger but I don’t think I’ll read the rest
