Christians need to develop a biblical theology of interpersonal communication . This book discusses the various traumas of being transparent with God , others and ourselves . The bottom line problem given is we are self-centered sinners . We hide from others and hurl negatives at them . The second half of the book delves into the Master Communicator Jesus Himself . It goes into great detail about how we listen and talk to God and then applies those things to how we communicate with others .

The author does a great job of connecting his thoughts to scripture, and I was encouraged by his balanced perspective on a several points, but I felt like he tried to cover too much material under the heading of transparency, forcing himself to remain pretty simplistic and superficial with much of the material. A good basic read about interpersonal communication.
