Betrayed by one of her own and turned into a vampire, hunter Eve is consumed by her hunger for vengeance and has spent five years surviving hell, driven to take the life of the man she once loved. But just as she is about to close in on the hunter-turned-vampire, an event is set in motion that threatens to see him slip beyond her grasp forever—the leader of her bloodline has sent an escort to bring her to the family’s mansion. To a nest of the very creatures she once hunted and loathes.

A vampire assassin hardened by centuries of service, Tor is a man of discipline and loyalty, never straying from his mission or the rules set out for him, and has purged all his weaknesses, including his emotions.

But the moment he meets the broken, fiery female he is to escort to Oslo, something dangerous awakens in him, something possessive and powerful, and when he is pulled into a deadly game of cat and mouse with the man who betrayed her, Tor discovers he will do anything to protect the woman slowly claiming his heart and give her the vengeance she desires—even break all the rules.

Can Eve embrace her new vampire nature in order to have her revenge and find a reason to live again in Tor? Can Tor and Eve stop the man who betrayed her and the deaths of thousands of innocents? Or will he succeed in creating a new army of hybrid vampires who will rise up against the purebloods?

Bravo! The highly anticipated 8th book in the Vampires Realm Series continues the tradition of outstanding dark paranormal romances...
They were both products of their training, both changed by it, and he had no doubt that they were now both experiencing a sensation of weakness and vulnerability, uncertainty, because of what they were feeling. Attraction. Desire. Passion. A hunger so deep it consumed them.
Let me start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of the Vampires Realm Series. Each book has a stand-alone quality while seamlessly overlapping and complimenting one another. While reading the series from the beginning is highly recommended, I don't think it is completely necessary. However, I personally enjoy the way stories interconnect. This entire series is an amazing blend of Urban Fantasy / Paranormal Romance / Erotica at its very finest.

Are you a lover of Vampires?
of heart-pounding action?
of sizzling hot chemistry?
of love against all odds?

This series is for you.

In book four of the Vampires Realm Series - Seventh Circle, we learned that Vampire Hunters are being genetically altered in order to create stronger warriors... We learned that Lilith and her twin sister Eve were the first to be introduced to the new genetic material - they were the pilot batch of human-vampire hybrids... And then we learned that the sister that Lilith mourned, Eve, had in fact been turned into a vampire and was in hiding...

In book seven of the series - Masquerade, Lilith had risen to the head of the Vehemens bloodline and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her long lost sister. Her mate Lincoln dropped a hint of what was to come:
“She is in good hands and will be with us soon enough. Tor has promised to bring her here to us before the end of the ball and she will be safe with him. You need not fear.”
This book picks up (and slightly overlaps) the events from Masquerade and tells the story of Eve and Tor...

Tor
Confidence and danger flowed from him, as if those two words were created for him alone. An assassin. A man bred for the purpose of killing.
Tor is a Hunter, a warrior working alone at the task of eliminating enemies of the house of Vehemens. But when he is asked to personally oversee the task of guarding and transporting the Vehemens' new Chosen Daughter, he cannot refuse. Though he is tempted to complete this mission as soon as possible, he finds himself helpless to ignore the beautiful young woman's quest for revenge.

Eve
She was a mission. He had a feeling this was going to be the hardest mission in his long life. It was going to push him to his limit and might just be the death of him.
Eve is the sister of Lilith, she has been named the Chosen Daughter of the Vehemens Bloodline... But she struggles with her transition as only an ex-vampire-hunter can. She refuses to feed, and is slowly wasting away. The only thing keeping her going is the need for revenge against the man who betrayed her in life, turning her into the very thing she loathed.

They will work together to track the man who betrayed Eve...
To unravel a mystery threatening Vampire society...
And they will struggle with the fierce connection drawing them together...

Damn, damn, damn!!! I loved this book! This is book 8 in the Vampires Realm series so now I have yet another series that I want to go back and read. Why oh why can I not just spend my entire life reading all day?

Now the real review:
Felicity Heaton is one of my new favorite authors! My first Heaton books were the Eternal Mates series which I loved and I can't wait for book 3. However, if you haven't read any of her books and would like to try an entertaining vampire series this is a good one to start with. I had not previously read any of the Vampires Realm series and now I HAVE to go back and start from the beginning! This can be read as a stand alone and that is what I did, but it is so good that I can't just read this and walk away.

Tor is an amazing main character who checks all of the boxes for me. He's strong, loyal and not afraid to take things into his own hands. I love a tortured hero who stoically goes through life until he finds that one chosen mate that he wasn't even looking for. Eve is also the type of heroine that I love. She's focused, strong, knows her own mind and does not have a whiny bone in her body. Eve is struggling to come to terms with a destiny that she did not choose and the only balm that will heal her is vengeance. There's adventure, action, passion, and intrigue. This was a home run read for me and I look forward to going to the beginning of the series and getting sucked further into this wonderful world that Heaton has created.

Yet another book from this author whose work I discovered about a year ago and this time it's her vampires who are set to enthral readers. Whilst not the first in this Vampire Realm series ( number 8) I think it's a good book for those readers new to her work . This is a book to tempt the reader to want to try more and as usual it's a thrilling ride.
Eve is a human who through no fault if her own has been turned into a vampire . To say she's not happy about this is putting it mildly and her perpetual hunger drives her on. Everything she believed in has been turned on it's head and all she wants now is vengeance on Adam the one who betrayed her .She's a hunter but it looks as if events are about to conspire to help her target escape, or are they?
Tor is a vampire assassin who is sent to protect Eve and get her back to her family but she's not about to go quietly! There's something about Eve that Tor finds irresistible and it's not just because of her royal antecedents . Eve is everything Tor wants in a female but unfortunately there are those who would consider Tor unworthy. Eve doesn't care what anyone else thinks but she does care that she's not seen as a pushover! Tor and Eve try to fight their attraction but something's are just meant to be but Adam ( the one who turned her) is as cunning as he is deceitful and although Eve was hunting him it's soon apparent that shes becomes the prey!
Whether it's sexy vampires, erotic angels or dangerous elves this talented author knows how to craft a story that takes her readers on a wild and adventurous ride! Hunger is yet another example of Ms Heatons vivid imagination and originality . Eves story has been coming for quite some time with hints In a previous book but happily this works equally well as a standalone but why not read the other books? They like this are full of sexy alpha males who are guaranteed to raise anyone's blood pressure! Tor has been so cold for so long and now he meets the one female who sets him ablaze and it's a wondrous thing!
If you are looking for action then this book delivers as there's never a dull moment. It's not the longest book I've read by the author but it had a fantastic plot and a protagonist that really deserves their comeuppance . These books are quite addictive and can never be written quickly enough for me. Hunger? O yes I'm hungry for more!

This is the third paranormal romance I've read by Felicity Heaton and once again I am completely satisfied! She writes the best male/female characters. I loved Tor and Eve... they were a perfect match.
Eve was a vampire hunter who was murdered and came back as the very creature she hated most. Tor was created and bred to be a hunter as well and is at the bottom of vampire society and looked down upon. With both of them being hunters they immediately felt a connection and understanding of each other. They were able to provide for each other those missing pieces needed to move forward and embrace something neither of them thought they could do. Eve, embracing her new life as an immortal and Tor embracing an opportunity for love.
After Eve changed she spent years living a tortured existence among the weakling vampires. Having suffered at their hands she rejects her existence and refuses to give in to her hunger for human blood. She lives in a constant weakened state.
Tor is sent to bring her home to her sister, who was also turned vampire, to take her rightful place with her bloodline family. Eve does not want to live surrounded by vampires because of her deeply embedded fears.
Tor and his ability to understand her as a hunter and having lived through a tortured past himself was able to provide her a soft place to fall. I simply loved his character! Tor is one of those tortured heroes that has a desire to be loved hidden under all of his hardened layers. Being looked down upon by his own bloodline as unworthy... love was never something he thought to be within his reach. Gosh, these are my favorite kind of characters in PR... I simply love seeing a character who feels unworthy of love... learning to embrace it instead. :)
Felicity has a way of attaching you emotionally to her characters... and I love this about her writing. It was easy for me to relate to the conflicted emotions going on with both Eve and Tor and that is a compliment to the author's writing style. It's not easy to do...
This is very easily read as a stand alone... in fact, this is the first book I've read in this particular series and I had no trouble at all enjoying the story coming in at book 8. But...now I need to go back to book one and start at the beginning cause I liked it that much.
Keep doing what you're doing FH... I am a fan... :)

Recieved book from Author in exchange for a honest review..

Amazing and engaging!! A Vampire that doesn’t like blood, and a Vampire “From the other side of the tracks”, Eve fights hard to deny her immortal side as a hunter she was trained to hunt vampires... to hate, to loathe, the despise them all. On a fateful night while her and her partner was out on a hunt, she was killed and turned to a vampire.
Tor a hunter in a difference sense, he helped make the it safe for the other vampires as a hunter he was deemed as a second class citizen, no more than a servant. His latest mission was to bring back home, the sister of leader of his clan. Eve makes herself drink non human blood, not realizing its barely keeping her alive, not for the want of her father trying to make her take care of herself.
Upon meeting Tor he sees for himself that she isn’t as strong as she should be, after fighting with/for her at their first meeting he doesn’t understand why she was so weak. Then a attempt on her life has them on the run and hiding out. Being in close quarters will play havoc on both Eve's and Tor's ability to stay aloof. They speak of the past and of vengeance, Tor knows he will have his work set out for him as he tries to make Eve see the error of her way of thinking about vampires.
I loved it, the pace moved along a couple of places dragged just a bit for me, but it didn’t take from the story. I loved both the characters Tor and Eve, how they both had a common ground to step on. Between the snobbish family, the ex's and the past with a bit of heat when when they both finally give in to the passion and has each other growling in pleasure. This was part 8, but I didn’t read the ones before and didn’t have a problem following the story line. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone.

HUNGER is a very fast paced read, filled with lots of emotions, and details giving the reader great insight into all that is and all that is felt.

Felicity certainly knows how to weave her stories. We are always immersed totally within the world that she creates and her characters always leave a place behind with each install ment. I throughly enjoy her character development, and always walk away with yet another book boyfriend to yearn over.

The character development is never rushed; we see and feel every emotion.

Her descriptions are always so well detailed that we can see as we read and venture on the journey with her characters and the story within..

Loved Tor .....

Why have I not been reading Felicity Heaton books for years and years? I mean really?? Is it lack of proper publicity? Whatever the reason, it has been rectified. I am officially a Heatonite. To date I have read four of her books from three different series and each one is delicious. I do believe this might be my favorite so far. Well, I do love a big blond. So, sue me! In my mind, Tor is a young Dolph Lundgren.

HUNGER is Book 8 in the VAMPIRES REALM series from Felicity Heaton and it takes a little change of direction from the others in the series.

We first read about Eve in her sister Lilith's book SEVENTH CIRCLE (one of my favourite FH books!! <3 )

In this story, we meet Eve a few years after her turning and find out she is struggling with her new 'life'....
Tor is a Hunter for the Bloodline, closed off to others, hard-hearted and a loner.

Tor has been sent by Lincoln to safely escort Eve, the Vehemen's Bloodlines 'Chosen Daughter', home. As a hunter and not a bodyguard, Tor isn't overly keen on his appointed task, but he is loyal and faithful so sets out to collect Eve.

Eve has no wish to go anywhere with Tor especially not to her new 'home' and tries to avoid leaving with him... She wants nothing to do with vampires bar getting revenge on the person who is the reason she is no longer human.

The story starts quickly and, as we have come to expect with this series from Felicity, is action packed, fast paced and gripping.
As a result of an event early in the story Eve manages to get Tor to agree to help her with her mission to extract revenge and fulfil her desire to dole out some justice.

Throughout the story there is a lot of focus on the relationship between the two main characters and we watch this develop and grow, regardless of the battle that they both fight to avoid it!!!

A truly fantastic addition to the series, HUNGER is for me a 5* read and one of my top 3 favourite VR books to date..... Although it is book #8, it could very easily be read as a Standalone.

Felicity Heaton IS paranormal romance. Every single one of her books that I've read just ooze passion!

This is book 8 in the Vampires Realm series but can be read as a standalone.

Eve is a vampire. It's the last thing she wants to be. She's a hunter, not the very thing that she hunts. She still hasn't come to terms with it. She refuses to feed human blood. Without feeding, she will die.

Tor is a hard, play by the rules, do as your told vampire assassin. He's been assigned to escort Eve to home. What he wasn't prepared for , however, was the strange pull her has toward her and the need to protect her.

Like all of Heaton's novels, this one kept me on the edge of my seat. The fighting scenes were so read it was as if I was there fighting along side them! The interaction between Eve and Tor was just perfect. Heaton has a way of creating the PERFECT main characters and somehow, they just have the best chemistry.

Another hit from Felicity Heaton for sure - I give this one 5 stars and will always read anything by Heaton without even having to read the synopsis!

But eve is having trouble with being a vamp. She does not want to drink human blood. So her sister fearing for her life send Tor to bring her to them. But she has other plans for the vamp that cazued all this she wants revenge and Tor may just be the one to give it to her. Now they just need to stop Adam and get eve her revenge before he figures outthe formula for midnight.

Eve is a newly turned vampire who’s more than a little bit pissed at that revelation—given that she’s a former hunter of vampires. Add that with the fact that her old lover is trying to kill her and her newly found father is trying to influence her behavior by getting her to accept that she’s a pureblood vampire now—and then throw in a hulking, dark, vampire guard, and you have Hunger.

Hunger by Felicity Heaton is the eighth in her Vampires Realm series, and I will preface by saying that it is the first that I have read of that series. That being said, I’m a pretty huge fan of vampire fiction, though I generally like it a little closer to horror, a little less closer to romance. I also think that this novel holds up perfectly well on its own, so though I believe it would enhance the immersion to know more about the overall world (or, more importantly, the characters within it) I don’t think you’ll be left behind if you start here.

Because this is so far along in the series, I feel compelled to note that Heaton does a great job at bringing the reader up to speed. There wasn’t ever a point in the novel that I didn’t understand what was going on. Is there much that’s already happened that might have helped out with the story in general? Probably, but a story should be able to work on its own, especially for this genre where readers are very likely to pick up a book in a series (especially a long series) at random and start reading, and I think Hunger does a good job of telling its own story.

What’s fun about this story is how quickly Heaton gets into the action—you feel almost immediately propelled along in this world where everything is dangerous and pretty much everyone is trying to kill someone. Because of this, the pacing was rather great; the story happens rather quickly so there aren’t many opportunities for lagging—time is just moving too quickly for that. I also really enjoyed how conflicted Eve is about her newly found vampire life. It’s great to watch a character struggle through change—especially when it’s in the arms of a sexy man.

I also really enjoyed the class wars that seem to be prevalent throughout this world. Tor, the main love interest, is a hunter, which barely puts him above a servant to the pureblood vampires. And now Eve, the newly appointed “Chosen Daughter,” is of that ilk (she was a hunter as a human); it’s nice to see how things work themselves out between an upper class (no matter how much she might resent that) woman and a lower class man. It’s this kind of story developments that bring the realities of the world that Eve and Tor live in to life and makes for a more compelling read.

Aside from the action, the story is really introspective. I felt like I got to know Eve and Tor separately, rather than being able to watch them develop their relationship naturally through dialogue. Because so much of what happens to them seems to be instinctually driven, the dialogue seems to be placed second to the internal monologues. Overall, I wish there were more opportunities for the main characters to talk with each other—to really work out the how and why together, rather than how everything seems to happen (for the majority) inside of their heads. It would have made the quick development of Eve and Tor’s relationship a lot easier to buy into.

I also wish Adam, the antagonist, was a little more rounded. It was hard to get a sense of his character because he was pretty much portrayed as just being a “bastard.” I am assuming that if you’ve read the previous novels you have a better idea of where he’s come from and why he’s capable of doing what he does, but it would have been nicer to get a better idea of that in this novel.

This was a smartly paced, quick read that fans of vampire romance are sure to enjoy sinking their teeth into. If you’re looking for somewhat brooding, dark, and handsome vampires, mixed with plenty of danger and daring, then this is your book—it’s a little mystery, a little action, and a little romance all rolled into one.

REVIEW: HUNGER is the eighth full length novel in Felicity Heaton’s contemporary, adult Vampires Realm paranormal romance series. Told from close third person POV this is vampires Tor and Eve’s storyline. Although HUNGER is a part of a continuing series, it can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any information required from previous storylines is imparted to the reader where necessary.

Tor is a vampire assassin and hunter-a part of the Vehemens clan; Eve is also a hunter but one who hunted the very thing she has become. As a member of the royal family-a Chosen Daughter and a constituent of the same Vehemens clan as Tor- it is time Eve must take her place as part of the ruling family. Tor is sent as her guardian and escort from Paris to Amsterdam not knowing that Eve has been targeted by someone she once trusted and loved.

The attraction between Tor and Eve is immediate but Tor has learned to keep his emotions and feelings to himself. A hunter since his transition Tor has seen murder, torture and abuse first hand and hopes to keep that part of his life secreted away from the woman with whom he is falling in love. The relationship between our leading couple is necessary, protective, seductive and provocative. Tor has experienced the rejection and the disdain of vampire hierarchy, and knows that his presence in Eve’s life will not be accepted or condoned.

The secondary characters include Eve’s father, sister and extended family; the Three Law Keepers (akin to vampire royalty special forces); and the one man Eve has targeted for destruction. The supernatural world building continues with each storyline and HUNGER follows Lilith’s (Eve’s sister) story –Seventh Circle (book four).

Felicity Heaton writes an emotional and moving storyline of betrayal and hope; love and acceptance; family and fitting in. HUNGER is a story of adventure and action that will captivate and fascinate; her leading characters are quick to accept all that life has to offer-there is no overreaching fear of rejection or the constant push and pull of a love/hate relationship. Heaton’s characters are adults who know what they want, and Tor and Eve have found a bond in one another.

I am a major fan of Felicity Heaton's books and have read pretty much all her different series. I also enjoyed the first couple of books in her Vampire Realm and am now absolutely hooked. I will be spending the next few weeks filling in the rest of this series. This is book 8 in the Vampire Realm and I had no trouble following and enjoying this exciting romantic thrill ride. It was a great read as a stand alone but don't deprive yourself of the rest of this series.

The heroine, Eve, is the first vampire I have read about that has shunned human blood. Eve is a Hunter who finds her life turned upside down when she is betrayed by her ex, and turned into the very beings she hunts.
After being turned Eve endured several long years of torture during which she was further weakened by her refusal to drink human blood (perpetual hunger). She is mortified by what she has become and vows revenge.
Once Eve escapes to find sanctuary with her father Oneiric. He realizes she is under great danger and must flee to safety in Oslo. Her crazy ex, Adam, is following through on devious evil plan that puts many in peril. Despite wanting revenge, Adam is deadly and needs to be stopped.

Eve is a pure blood, considered high royalty in the Vehemens bloodline. Her sister is Lilith (from Seventh Circle) and awaits her in Oslo. Not a weakling turned heroine, from the beginning Eve is a determined force to be reckoned with with a temper to match. She has a good, pure heart that finds room for one who is not considered worthy and of lower status within the bloodline.

Eve is summoned to Oslo so she can reunite with her sister as well as find protection in the Vehemens family mansion. There she will take her place among the royal family. They send Tor, a hardened Hunter, sworn to protect and escort her to Oslo. Within her bloodline, men in Tor's position are considered lower than the servants and others that he must protect. It is quite disheartening to see such terrible treatment of those that should be honored .
Tor is all hot alpha male, very swoon worthy. After years if being regarded as unworthy by his own bloodline, Tor has turned off his emotions and does not even dare to dream he could be worthy of love. Here is where Ms. Heaton's characters are so awesome as we watch the melting of Tor's icy exterior and the blossoming of Eve's character.
Their instant chemistry draws us in, their love growing at an even and rewarding pace. I loved Eve's devotion to Tor and how she stands up to those that snub him. Tor is the perfect hero who is not just there to protect her but it is within his strength she is able to come into her own.

Together they encounter a roller coaster of danger, adventure, yummy hot smexy romance and we get to go along for the thrilling ride. Definitely a page turner.

The world or the Vampire Realm is mesmerizing and enticing. As with all her astounding world building, Felicity Heaton vividly hypnotizes her readers imaginations and keeps you wanting to revisit. You will be so glad there are a good number of books in this series and hopefully many more.

This is the eighth book in the Vampire Realm Series. I loved it!

Eve is a fantastic character. She is Lilith's sister (from Seventh Circle, 4th book) and a vampire. She is strongly driven by revenge, but she also is determined to a fault and has a fiery temper. I loved this character. I can understand her desire for revenge, but I do not condone this type of violence. Nothing good ever really comes out of acting on it.

Tor is a powerful guard in the Vehemens household. He is rather taciturn and brooding, but I loved his intensity. He is a follow the rules kind of guy, but is willing to break them on occasion. Sent to deliver Eve to her sister, Tor finds himself conflicted between his obligation and his emotions.

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book, as I love the series so far. Hunger didn't disappoint! I started to read this book and struggled to put it down; I was hooked from the first page! The story is told from both Eve and Tor's point of view, which gives the reader an insight into their thoughts and feelings. It was nice to meet Oneiric (Eve and Lilith's father) again, but I would love to visit with him a bit longer. He intrigues me, so I hope that the author would consider writing his story one day, even if it is not part of the series. This story was an exciting roller coaster ride of danger, adventure and romance. The story also brings together a few vampires from the other bloodlines, and it was interesting to see how they worked together as a team of Law Keepers. They are Vincent (Caelestis), Serge (Validus) and Daemon (Aurorea). They are all dangerous in their own way. Vincent is more relaxed and is younger than his work mates. I really liked him. Daemon, on the other hand, is more intense and deadly. He scared me! However, these guys are saints when compared to Adam and his madman attempt to create human/vampire hybrids turned vampire hunters. He is evil personified!
There are some amazingly described scenes that made me feel like I was really there. The rescue scene in the warehouse was exciting, and it certainly got my heart racing! There are also some scenes of a sensual nature that definitely got my heart pounding! The intense attraction between Eve and Tor just about scorched the pages! *Fans face* The end of the book does not end in a cliffhanger (most of the series doesn't either), but this does not mean that there will not be any more books in the series (I hope!). This book can be read as a stand alone, but it would be better to read the other books in the series first, to get a fuller feel of the characters and the world they live in.

Felicity Heaton has written another fantastic erotic paranormal romance. I love her writing style, which is fast paced, exciting and believable. She is number one on my Favourite Authors List.

As this is an erotic paranormal romance with explicit scenes, I do not recommend this book to younger readers. However, I highly recommend this book (and series) if you love erotic paranormal romances full of action, adventure, sexy vampires and werewolves. - Lynn Worton

I will start with I received a copy of this book for an HONEST and FAIR review, as an ARC. I would have bought it though to because I love everything that this author puts out. I am pretty sure there are only a few books of her that I don’t own but no worries there I will soon enough. Anyway, on to my review…
So this book takes place shortly after Masquerade, honestly Masquerade had me thinking the series was over because I felt like things were resolved, I was happy to see a HEA but sad to think it ended. Well let me tell you this much aside from the first three books this series could easily pass as stand alone series (I am pretty sure she has even said that somewhere). However each book leads nicely into the next book, it is stunning how easily things flowed from one book to the next and yet you would finish it felling good but wanting so much more.
I personally love this series because of the fact that isn’t just about a sexual relationship it’s about chemistry and bonding not only between the (and the reader) characters but with the book as a reader. I think that Felicity Heaton nails each and every book she writes with her readers and die hard fans, which I will add that I am one of many.
She knows how to drag you into a book with great well developed action scenes and the back in forth drama between all the good and bad characters. She is never predictable in my eyes and is a force to be recon with.
I will not give spoilers about this book but I would like to share one small quote that stood out for me, “He couldn’t remember a woman looking at him the way Eve did, as if she wanted to memories everything about his body, but not just so she could call up a static image of him. No, she studied him in depth, as if she wanted to be able to construct him in detail in her mind, to make him move, every part of him responding as it would in real life.” Felicity Heaton, Hunger. I Hunger for more I absolutely loved these characters and I can’t wait to see who is up next.
I highly recommend that you pick up this series, if you enjoy excellent storylines, dramatic foreplay between characters and fascinating plot twists. She weave a marvelous web which you cant help but be her spider and devour all its contents. Yes I received this book as an ARC but I would have bought this book and read it regardless because I am a fan of everything Paranormal this woman writes.
The sex is very hot in this book so get your cold showers at the ready and Thank you letters started. I need a smoke!!!!

Slipping back into this series is, for me, like settling into a comfy chair, I love this series!

It still amazes me how Felicity Heaton can write these books that are part of a series but can also be read as stand alone (except the first 3 they must be read together) and still make sense, if that makes any sense! Each book is part of the bigger story and they all go together to give you the bigger picture.

Her world building in these books (and all of her others) is second to none, she writes about the struggles between love and duty very well and her descriptions of how the characters are feeling throughout the story really make you feel like you are going through the emotions with them.

This story follows more along the story line of the enhanced hunters and the midnight plot. Our main female is Eve, she has some real issues that need to be addressed, like the fact she spent her human life hunting vampires only to be betrayed by someone she trusted and loved which resulted in her death and now she has become the one thing she hated about all else, a vampire. But not just any old weakling vampire, she is a pureblood of the Vehemens bloodline, which came about due to some genetic manipulation carried out by her mother.

Enter our fabulous lead male Tor (sorry I need a moment..... its difficult to mention his name without going weak at the knees and dribbling like a fool) he is yet another fantastic lead male (Felicity writes strong lead men that you never fail to fall for). Tor has been tasked with the job of escorting Eve to her new home, being the mansion of the Vehemens bloodline. Her sister Lilith is mated to the head of the Vehemens bloodline, Lincoln (oh dear the weak knee problem has just cropped up again) and he has sent Tor to bring her home safely and protect her against everything, including herself.

Soon after their journey starts, it becomes apparent that this mission isn't going to be easy, someone is trying to kill Eve, Tor learns that she has revenge on her mind and when he hears why he swears to assist her in getting her revenge, cue some rather steamy scenes, and then the plot thickens, not only is the person she is hunting for revenge still trying to kill her, but he is also a large part of the midnight plan, can Tor help Eve get her revenge, can they and the Law Keepers prevent the next step of the Midnight plot coming to fruition, will Eve and Tor have their happily ever after?

You will have to pick up the book to find out!

Enjoy!!!! (I certainly did - cannot wait for the next instalment)

First of all I must say that the number one reason for reading this book is the author. Yes, I am a big fan of Felicity Heaton and I am not afraid to admit it. The number two reason for wanting to read this book is the cover. With a cover this hot the content must be just as hot. The third and final reason for wanting to read this book is that it’s a paranormal romance, which I am not ashamed to admit I am a die hearted fan of this genre.
Hunger is the eighth book in the Vampire Realm series and can be read as a standalone. I am new to the series, however, after reading Hunger I am eager to read the previous books in the series. Ms. Heaton did not disappoint, when the story ended, I was indeed satisfied that the time spent glued to the pages of this book was time well spent.
Hunger tells the story of Eve a vampire hunter who was turned into the very creature she once hunted. Her turning came as a result of treachery from her hunting partner Adam. Being a vampire did not sit well with Eve. She refused to feed from humans, even though it was weakening her abilities. She had no interest in getting together with her vampire family in Oslo. Her sole focus at the time was getting revenge on Adam and nothing was going to get in her way. Not even a sexy vampire assassin name Tor.
Tor was sent to safely escort Eve to her new home in Oslo. The tor is lethal, cold, confident and disciplined. He is the type of person who never bend the rules and never deviates from his mission. However, this was all about to change when an attempt was made on Eve’s life. He made the decision to assist her in her quest for revenge.
What follows is an emotional and gripping story that is filled with action and some steamy love scenes. I loved the interaction between Eve and Tor. Relating to the characters was easy as they were portrayed as real people with real emotions. Ms. Heaton knows just how to grab her reader’s attention and hold it to the very end and leave them wanting more.
Hunger is a story of hope, acceptance, love and betrayal that will engage all your emotions and have you rooting for Eve and Tor.
If you have never read any of Ms. Heaton’s books and you love paranormal romance then I suggest you start with this series and work your way up. You will certainly not regret it.

DISCLOSURE: I received a complimentary copy in exchange for a honest review.

Eve is out for vengeance. Betrayed and turned into the very thing she hunts, she wants revenge. Tor has one simple task, retrieve Eve and bring her back to Oslo to be with her family. Not so simple when Eve has an agenda…and so do the people out to kill her. Tor is a man of discipline and never strays from his mission. However, all the rules are suddenly thrown out the window when he must protect Eve from the man who betrayed her. As they fight for their lives, something begins to grow between them. Now the question is, can they survive and be together or will the man who betrayed her succeed building a new army of hybrid vampires and destroy them all.

I simple LOVE Ms. Heaton’s books. She has never disappointed me and Hunger is absolutely no exception. LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this book!!! The main characters, Eve and Tor, are totally kick ass. Both hunters and they are nothing to screw around with. As the story progresses, there is the perfect softening of them as their love develops without turning them into wimpy characters. (I hate when they happens) The bad guys are wicked bad and truly get what they deserve. No I won’t tell you what happens however I will say it hand-pumping perfect. On a side note…Eve’s ex is Adam. Yup, that had me giggling on how messed that up that is. There’s so much action with the perfect build up to the epic ending that I was hard pressed to put it down. Ms. Heaton even managed to find a way to inject a new spin on vampires and their creation that I hadn’t encountered before. That pretty rare considering how much PNR I read.

How did I miss Ms. Heaton released a series! I am kicking myself right now because Hunger totally rocks! I have got to go back and start the Vampires Realm series from the beginning. Okay yes, Hunger works well as a stand-alone but why read this by itself when I’m sure the rest of the series will make this book so much better. As for you the reader and my opinion of what you should do…READ. THIS. NOW.

I received this book from JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions stated are my own.
This is book eight in Ms Heaton's Vampires Realm Series. I have read all of the series and enjoyed them greatly. I have been looking forward to this because Eve, the heroine of Hunger is the twin of Lilith, the Herione of book four in the series, Seventh Circle. That book ended with Lilith discovering that her twin sister Eve, whom she thought was dead, was in fact still alive and now a vampire.
The story begins with Eve. She has been found and taken in by her and Lilith's vampire father. She is struggling to come to terms with what she has become. She has gone from being a human vampire hunter to becoming the very creature she was brought up to despise. She is struggling to cope and it's only her need for revenge on those that betrayed her that keeps her going.
Tor, our hero, has been sent by Lilith to bring Eve home to her to take her rightful place in the vampire bloodline. She is not very enthusiastic about this at all. Tor is a hunter for the bloodline and has an immediate affinity with Eve. He sees her need for revenge and agrees to help her.
Then we are pulled along into the story. There is plenty of action and emotion and even some humour.
I really liked Eve. She is strong and smart and not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. Tor is an equally good character with hidden depths and his own insecurities. I really enjoyed their journey together and how they taught each other to accept what they were. They are believable characters who you can connect with. Lots of strong supporting characters to to make a really good story.
All in all an excellent edition to a great series. The story flowed really well and I enjoyed it from start to finish. I look forward to more stories in this series.
Highly recommended :0)

I don't know who I felt more for in this book. Eve wasn't dealing well with being a vampire and the social maneuverings of her fellow vampires when she finally started mingling with them didn't sit well with her. Throw in a few rounds of torture in her early vampire days and an aversion to blood and she's as far from comfortable in her new role as you could imagine.

On the other hand, Tor's been an outcast his entire vampiric existence because of what he is. Which sucks. Seriously, the guy who keeps everyone else safe, shouldn't be treated like dirt. Eve's acceptance of who he is and what he's capable of goes a long way toward thawing him. Frankly, given what Tor's been through, he deserves all the love and friendship he can get his hands on.

I'm honestly digging this world. The bloodlines and the backstabbing and the rigid social structures within the society all combine to make an intriguing backdrop. It's been a while since I last read one of these books and I'm kind of itching to go back and embark on a reread. I have to admit, the Law Keepers and their killing (and sometimes completely destructive) ways keep things interesting. It's hard to dislike men who throw homemade explosives with such fervor. Or maybe that's just me.

Steamy scenes, blood, and vengeance. Oh, and fire. And more blood. Yep, pretty much all the things that make my heart beat faster!

Felicty Heaton has been teasing me for weeks with these chapter excerpts. I was anxious to get my hands on this book. I have to admit it was worth the wait. Fantastic! I was engaged from the very beginning and couldn't put it down until the very end.

Eve was a hunter for the Section Seven during her human years. Betrayed by the man she cared about she was turned vampire against her will. Now she lives solely for the chance at revenge. But she never forgot where she came from. She struggles on a daily basis with what she has become and refuses human blood, no matter how weak it makes her.

Fearing for her health Eve has been called home to Oslo where the vampire family mansion is by a sister she has not seen in over 5 years. Despite her refusal they have sent a powerful hunter to escort her there.

Tor is an ancient hunter. Despised by his own people he is considered lower than a servant by those he protects on a daily basis. He expects Eve to be a simple assignment. His only concern is getting the job done. And then he sees her.

There is an instantaneous attraction between these two from the very beginning. They both strive to deny it. Eve because of the betrayal and Tor because he was a loner. Why would she want someone like him?

I loved that they fought their attraction and it wasn't an instant we're in love situation. The challenges that both of them had to overcome throughout the book kept me on the edge of my seat.

Favorite Lines “It must get tiring. You think they would get bored of killing themselves.”

“You get your revenge.”

“All of a sudden, she didn’t want to die. She wanted to live.”

“I don’t care. I’ve done things too. We’ve both done what we’ve needed to in order to survive, Tor. We’re hunters. We’re given missions and we carry them out. We see them through and do all in our power to live to fight another day. So when I say you’re beautiful, I mean it. I know the darkness in you because it’s in me too, and it doesn’t frighten me. It makes us who we are.”

“She was a star beyond his reach, but he couldn’t stop himself from wishing for her.”

I am cursing myself for not reading this series sooner. This is the first book in this series I have read and loved it!
How can I not love it? Betrayal, love, action, VAMPIRES, kick butt heroine, GORGEOUS ALPHA VAMPIRE!
Eve is a hunter who was betrayed, Tor is a hunter who knows what it mean to need revenge. Oh and did I mention Eve doesn't like blood and refuses to hunt? How can they not be perfect for each other? Felicity Heaton does an amazing job and bring you into her world and wrapping you in it. I love the world in his series. I look fwd to catching up and reading the previous books in this series! PARANORMAL LOVERS WILL DEVOUR THIS!!

I have read and reread every book in this series so many times, I feel like I know these characters. This latest installment in the series is just as amazing as the others. Every book I have read by this author has been a 5 star read. We were made aware of Eve in Lillith's book, and I was so glad to see she got her own story.
Eve was a section 7 vampire hunter, who had been made "better" than her peers by some DNA manipulation that gave her enhanced senses. This made her faster and tougher than the others. Her sister had the same thing done to her. When Eve was betrayed by her partner Adam, she died and awoke as a pureblood vampire. Adam tortured her for years, and when she escaped, she went to her "father" Oneiric. He got in touch with her sister, Lilith, who now leads one of the 7 pureblood families, and they sent Tor. Tor is a hunter for the bloodline, and he is one of the best. No emotions left to slow him down, he is prepared to return her to her sister. Eve wants revenge on Adam, but she denies her vampire side by not feeding, and that makes her weak. After an attempt on her life, Tor decides to break his rule, and help her. Their adventure and budding feelings make this a gripping tale of need, love, and duty. If you love sexy vampire stories, this is one series that should not be missed! I hope there are more to come!

This book was another scorcher and it can be read as a standalone but to be honest you should really read the previous books in this series because they are totally awesome and really bring you into this Fabulous Paranormal World.

I've been a Fan of Felicity Heaton's books for a while now and she never disappoints, she draws you into her Fantastic World where there's always a super plot, plenty of action and lots and lots of smouldering Romance, I don't like to give too much away about the book because I don't want to spoil your read and the product description gives you enough insight to get a feel for the book but what I will say is the characters are so believable and you can really connect with them in this story, this is a wicked Hot scorcher of a Romance so if you love Strong Sexy Vampires, (who have usually been through the mill and have some broken story to tell) Lots of Sizzling Steamy Romance and a HEA then you will definitely love this book!

For more from this Author why not check out her other books... If you love Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Elves, Dragons and many more Species, you will definitely fall in love with not one or two of these Species but a whole host of them!

Congratulations Felicity another Stunning book in the Vampire Realm Series.

When you connect with characters and feel for them your know your reading a winning book. Felicity Heaton has got this book spot on with the mix of relationship building and vampire world.

Eve is vamp but doesn't want to be, all she wants is to kill the one who 'killed' her - Adam.

Tor is a Hunter sent to accompany eve to her new calling in the vampire royalty, she so doesn't fit in with royalty, especially when she gets involved with Tor- the may be trouble ahead...that's not her only problem she refuses to drink blood, maybe Tor can convince her.

There is plenty of action, characther building and sensual and sexy scenes In this book and an entertaining story which as usual flows easily.

This is a great read and I would have read in one sitting if I had the chance.

Five vampy and racey stars.

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

wow another fabulous book to an amazing series, I have read every book of felicity's so not read one for a while but was yet again submerged into the fabulous dark and dangerous vampire world where they fight to remain hidden and stop erratic and psychotic plots to make a hybrid breed of vampires to rule the world. As always amazing details, beautiful background worlds and smouldering hot passion igniting between two very love able and stubborn vampires on their journey of action, love, emotions and discovering that it is the person you fall in love with and not their rank.

absolute must read and I hope this series continues , just a hint felicity but I certainly need a Hyperion fix again sometime soon :-) xxx

What can I say? This is another 5 star book from the Amazing Mind of Ms Heaton..
When we first meet Eve she she so bitter had having being turned and tricked by someone she loved that she is a very angry closed off woman who refuses to feed. Then she meets Tor an even more tightly closed off man living just to do his job and nothing else,to protect and serve, and he will protect her with everything he has.. even if he has to force her to feed.
the 2 together become stronger and bring out the light in each other.I love how they need each other but refuse to admit it in the beginning...
I Loved this book and cant wait to read more from not only Tor and Eve but from Ms. Heaton.
