Dave has made the most perfect plans for his first Valentine’s Day with Nicholas … but of course that’s when Sod’s Law kicks in, and everything that can go wrong does go wrong.

Notes

With gratitude to the friend who edited, to Manifold Press who believed, and of course to the wonderful folk at Sinfully Sexy Book Reviews who kindly supported.

With apologies to dear Keats, from whom I borrowed the title (adapting the idea behind it).

Ordinary people are extraordinary. We can all aspire to decency, generosity, respect, honesty – and the power of love (all kinds of love!) can help us grow into our best selves.

I write stories about ‘ordinary’ people finding their answers in themselves and each other. I write about friends and lovers, and the families we create for ourselves. I explore the depth and the meaning, the fun and the possibilities, in ‘everyday’ experiences and relationships. I believe that embodying these things is how we can live our lives more fully.

Creative works help us each find our own clarity and our own joy. Readers bring their hearts and souls to reading, just as authors bring their hearts and souls to writing – and together we make a whole.

Julie Bozza. Quirky. Queer. Sincere.

Julie has written a great little Valentine's short story. Valentine's Day Nicholas and Dave style. Loved the way that when things don't go according to plan, then things can still turn out to be wonderful. This will keep all the Butterfly Hunter fans going with a little morsel while we're waiting for the third book in the trilogy.

Short story about Dave and Nicholas' first Valentine's day together as husbands. Kind of a comedy of errors but the characterization stays true although the situation is a bit downer there's a lovely end to it all.

Oh you lovely pair! And all the Qld references. I could see those places in my head (because I have lived in them!!)

Dave's ernestness, Nicholas' devotion. It's all there. It's wonderful.

Happy valentine's day, and thanks Mz Bozza.

Even knowing that it was very short, I was kind of surprised by the sudden ending. I guess I expected them to reach their travel destination afterall. Anyways, very short but sweet.

This is a lovely Valentine treat -- a short featuring Dave and Nicholas (from Butterfly Hunter series).

It is their first Valentine's day celebration as husbands. Nicholas is as endearing as ever and Dave is adorable too. It's too bad that they don't really get the Valentine's that Dave has planned. Still, it's a nice read about the two of them.

Cannot give this 4-stars though -- it's just too short to make an impact for me. Plus there is a 'glimpse' of issue there (). Not saying that it is a huge problem for the two of them, but it IS a good story line ( and I wish being further explored.

Completing my days read of The Butterfly Hunter stories so far!
A great little valentines snippet - showing that even the great planner Dave can't control the weather.

18.12.19 reread : great snippet which has whetted my appetite for these two again.
