A compelling account of Canada's most decorated war hero, William Barker, who was an esteemed and gallant fighter pilot in WW1. The warts-and-all honesty of this book takes Barker beyond his hero status to reveal a complex man who is more real and sympathetic because of his failures as well as his achievements. Meticulously researched and intricately detailed, this book is a tribute to Barker and his courageous comrades who should never be forgotten.

A must read about an all too forgotten airman of Canada that has been lost to History.

Very interesting book about a little known and very human First World War hero. Should be much better known in Canada
