Brooklyn #1

Wasted Love

Rate this book
My life is far from the norm. First off, I’m not your average girl. I’m wild, crazy, and everyone who knows me say’s I’m a free spirit. I guess I am, because I don’t sweat the little things.

Life is too short.
I love hard and live harder. My dream is to become a star and that dream comes first and foremost before anything and anyone...except for my best friend Savannah, who I'd go to hell and back for. At 24 years old, I’m not looking for love. I’m just looking for a good time and a nice distraction after busting my butt on a movie set all week. The thought of falling in love has never crossed my mind. I’m too driven for love and everything that comes with it.

Meet Dixon Beaumont.
That is until I meet a certain Southern hottie by the name of Dixon Beaumont, who just so happens to be the cousin of Kayden Knox. He flips my world upside down the moment we meet.

My Dilemma...
The only problem is he’s the male version of me: Career driven and enjoys having a good time with no plans on settling down.

Throw in a bad boy rocker and a sweet Aussie and I find myself going from a simple, carefree life to a full-blown love square. It’s going to be dramatic. But hey, what’s life without a little drama?

Warning: Prepare to laugh your butt off and become extremely hot & bothered! Brooklyn Bennett breaks the mold when it comes to female heroines, she is not your average chick! She loves sex, hot guys, and her best friend Savannah fiercely and has a slight obsession with Jared Leto.

You got to know me in my best friend Savannah’s series. Now it’s my turn to tell you my story and for you to see my best friend's journey to her happily ever after through my eyes.

OK so Danielle Jamie has done it again!!!!!! Absolutely loved this book, I got lucky enough to be one of the first to read it. You get to know Brooklyn and Dixon a lot better in this series, which is awesome because as soon as you meet both of them in The Savannah Series you wanted more. Love Brooklyn and her no nonsense ways, she just puts it all out and doesn't care what anyone thinks. She has the missing filer from brain to mouth which makes for some serious laughter. And love how you hear from Dixon in this book his own thoughts and feelings. I knew I would love this book because I absolutely loved Brooklyn in The Savannah Series. And then there's Dixon, who doesn't love a sexy cowboy and he can call me darlin' anytime and let me ride his #DixieStick lol.. And we can't forget the hot Aussie or the sexy bad boy rocker Xander!!! If you have read and loved The Savannah Series you will not be disappointed in Wasted Love. I like to call it The Savannah Series with a twist. Highly recommend this book!!!!!

I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of this amazing book in exchange for review.
i'd give this a million stars if i could. Brooklyn is awesome !!!! And that says a lot for me considering i really hate the women in books. Im usually all about the guys. This is a complete role reversal for me. I love love love Brooklyn. Shes gorgeous, funny, awesome, a great bestie and girl who knows what she wants and isnt afraid to sample the goods until she finds it....she is just an all around awesome chick.
I love how the book blends with the Savannah Series and you get the awesome friendship between Brooklyn and Savannah from Brooklyn's POV. You also get so much more of Dixon because to be honest, i couldnt stand him until i read this book. He annoyed the crap out of me in the Savannah Series. I do love Jax though ... i want that man for my very own. And Xander .... damn, he is off the charts!!!! The Multiple POV's is amazing. I just love it. I dont want to say too much and give you some spoilers but i am positive, you wont be disappointed.
The story is amazing and i really cant wait for the next book (hurry up Danielle, get to writing it woman....and im not opposed to begging her for a Jax book as well)
The book is well written the sex is off the charts and the spelling and grammar are good.
I havent read anything by Danielle that i havent loved and this is no exception
I cant WAIT to get this in Paperback because my bookshelves are begging for a copy.
I absolutely recommend this book to everyone and anyone who like to have a smile on their face, and a laugh on their tongue, and sometimes even an ache in their heart as you follow the antics of Brooklyn.
DO NOT MISS THIS ONE !!!

** JODIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW **

“I don’t know how I’m going to deal with all this man candy everywhere, every time I come to Texas. Between Xander, Jax, and Dixon, my brain is on overload as it tries to process all the feelings these men are inflicting in me.”

Danielle Jamie never disappoints with her men!! I loved the chance to get my hands on this book since I wanted Brooklyn’s story since I finished the Savannah’s series. Brooklyn is this character that you want to be best friends with! She literally had me almost peeing pants while I was reading, I had true tears from her one liners. If you read the Savannah Series you know Brooklyn has no filter.

“Those d*** romance novels blow smoke up your a** with all their virgins finally having sex and wanting to pass out from an orgasm.”

Brooklyn is a girl that honestly could be a guy. She is not one to settle down, she is more where’s the party and who can be my friend for the night type of girl. But when her and her BFF, Savannah decide to move to Texas things change for her pretty quick!! She not only meets one boy that turns her head, she meets three: Alexander, Jax and Dixon. She then decides she wants to do the whole friends with benefits with them instead of going out and trying to find a new flavor every night. But does that ever turn out the way you think?!

So the boys go something like this…

Jax is Knox’s security guard and he is everything you think of when thinking of security. Hot, professional and let’s mix in that he has an Australian accent. PERFECTION in a package and he is all for being a bed buddy.

“My mind is racing with thoughts of the things I’d love to hear this man say to me with that accent.”

“That man’s accent is like a freaking aphrodisiac; I could listen to him tell me about the damn weather and find myself getting wet.”

Next up is Xander. Xander is the rockstar, with the tats, piercings and everything else that makes you wonder how your clothes fell off. Of course with this lifestyle he is all about a friends with benefits relationship.

“Every girl dreams of spending a night with a tatted-up bad boy, and this man screams trouble.”

Finally there is Dixon, the cowboy who stole my heart almost as much as his cousin Knox. Dixon sees Brooklyn as hands off even though there is definitely a attraction. He has that “Bros before Hoes” relationship with his cousin. But there is something with Brooklyn and he can’t seem to get her out of his head. And she can’t seem to forget him. Dixon is actually very similar to Brooklyn in his lifestyle, he is a love’em and leave them guy. He is one that sneaks out before you are awake so he doesn’t have to do the whole so when will I see you again.

“There’s something different about Dixon…I just can’t put my finger on it.”

I actually loved the banter between Brooklyn and Dixon the most. I am not going to get into much more because you have to meet the characters and draw your own conclusions and fall for them the way I did. For me this was definitely a 4 star read, it kept me laughing almost the entire time and it is super fast paced. This is the first book in the series so prepare yourself for the cliffhanger that leaves you hitting your kindle thinking WTF I am missing a chapter or something!! But even with that I would still recommend it if you are looking for a book with a lot of heat and more than a few giggles.

Danielle Jamie does it again!!!!

I was lucky enough to get to beta read this book! I absolutely loved it and can't wait for more. This series is sure to get you heated up! You will be sure to laugh alot as well get completely hot and bothered! If you loved The Savannah Series as much as I did you are sure to love this one as well. This has started out as one hot steamy series!

Brooklyn is that fun loving crazy BFF that everyone wants! She is alwaus making sure to live life to the fullest the way she wants. Brooklyn is the party girl that is just looking to have fun and lots of hot and steamy sex.

While out living life she meets the sexy rocker Xander. The heat between these two is bound to get your blood flowing. Then there is the thunder from down under Jax. Just his aussie accent alone will have you completely turned on! Brooklyn is more then happy to make these two her go to guys. Well that is until she gets a taste of the Dixie Stick!

Brooklyn is just looking to have fun until Dixon decides to turn her world completely unside down. They plan to make the sex just a one time thing. The sex between these two is so hot you will need a cold shower. After they get a taste of each other they find themselves wanting more!

Can I just say WOW?!? I had the pleasure of getting a sneak peek of Wasted Love...
Danielle Jamie has not only done an amazing job with Brooklyn in this story she did an unbelievably good job letting us into the world of Brooklyn Bennet and you will laugh your butt off!!!

We fell in love with Brooklyn in the Savannah series (and if you didn't read the Savannah Series which I strongly recommend) you already know somethings about Brooklyn but in her story now we get the whole picture... feelings, thoughts and a love triangle that is hot enough to melt your kindle!!!

With Wasted Love you will get to know Dixon a little better because you will know what was going through that head of his... and Brooklyn with her unfiltered mouth... Omg too funny!!! Brooklyn is the perfect woman because she thinks and does what she wants and honestly does what most women want do but won't admit to it...
oh and don't forget about the hot Aussie Jax with his Thunder from down under or the Bad boy rocker (sex on a stick) Xander... Lord help us because this is going to be one bumpy ride!!! This is a must read!!!

5 Stars!

Ah! I have been impatiently waiting for Brooklyn's story. Yes, if you read the Savannah series then you know how her story ends but to watch the love story of Brooklyn and Dixon happen from their eyes in an amazing thing. I have to admit I was not a fan of Dixon for most of the Savannah series but this book helped me understand him and in turn fall in love with him.

This is Brooklyn's story. She is the best friend of Savannah. She is a girl who is loose between the sheets but wants to fall in love, even if she can't admit it to herself. Between a sexy rocker, an Australian bodyguard, and a country boy/CEO, things are about to get crazy in Brooklyn's world. Going from no man to three, it can be a challenge. Get ready for a crazy ride as Brooklyn finds her way to her happy ending.

I loved this story. This book had so many laugh out loud moments, quirky comebacks, and seriously sexy steam. I loved Brooklyn in the Savannah series but wow... she is an awesome chick who is tough on the outside, but still so soft and sweet on the inside.

I highly recommend this book!

Brooklyn is a carefree 24 year old whose main focus is on her career as a stunt double in the film industry. She is not looking for love but loves to have a good time. She likes to party, drink and generally have a good time but doesn't believe in permanent relationships. She is very loyal to her best friend Savannah and is happy to see her settling down.

Dixon is a 24 year old billionnaire who is career focused too and avoids the complications of having a permanent girlfriend, until he sets eyes on Brooklyn. He does his best to avoid her to the point of being rude to her at times. When he finally gives in, he tells himself that he can now forget about her since he has got her out of his system. The thing is that Brooklyn thinks the same but it doesn't seem to work quite as they had planned.

The book ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, leaving us guessing as to what happens next. The next instalment is due to be released in 2015. This book would appeal to those who like a good romance with suspense, steamy and explicit sex scenes.

Holy Hell!! Can I just say reading this book I absolutely love Brooklyn even more(if that's possible) than I already did from The Savannah Series!!! We finally get to get inside her head and everything that's gone on and get her view on things. And then there's also the HOT guys! First there's Jax the aussie hottie, then Xander the sexy rocker who rocks Brooklyn's world. Then of course there's the baddest boy of them all that completely took over her world Dixon Beaumont! With Dixon fighting his attraction to Brooklyn and constantly brushing her off, she finds herself attempting to do the same. But the connection they have just won't let that happen. Once again Danielle has made us fall in love with her characters even more than we already were!! I freakin' LOVED this book and I can't wait for the others to come out! I'd definitely reccomend this book to EVERYONE!!

5 stars!!! Brooklyn rocks!!!

I was lucky enough to get an early read of this book. Loved it! Loved Brooklyn in the Savannah series and love her even more now. This book has it ALL a hot rocker with a bike, a hot Australian with sexy accent, a hot country boy with a big truck, and a heroine that is kick ass! And steamy sex that leaves you all hot and bothered!

Brooklyn loves her bestfriend! She is all about having a good time and no guy is going to tie her down. Then there's playboy Dixon who she can't get out of her head and might just be sneaking into her heart.

Awesome book! It made me laugh more times than I can count but had touching moments that brought tears.

I can't wait for the rest of Brooklyn's story!

I received this for an honest review. I am not sure I can even express to you how much I loved this book. Danielle is most definitely my go to author. Every time I pick up a book of hers I am instantly in love with the story she weaves for us. I fell in love with Brooklyn in the Savannah series where we met her. I was so stoked to hear that she was getting her own book and let me tell you this book FREAKING ROCKS!!! I love Brooklyn's views and attitude it is so much fun reading this story. This book can be read without reading the Savannah series but I think it is better with it. This story makes you laugh and say OMG she did not just say that. This is one book where once I picked it up I could NOT put it down!!!

Danielle Jamie has out done herself once AGAIN!!!

I was lucky enough to get to beta read this book! I absolutely loved it and can't wait for more. I loved Brooklyn in The Savannah Series but you really get in touch with her and the few men in her life in Wasted Love. What can you say when you get a sexy rocker, Aussie, and a cowboy... the total package right? Brooklyn is a strong woman that don't put up with any shit!! (Love her). In this book I really enjoyed that you get a insight of why Dixon acts the way he does. And Brooklyn with her take no shit attitude is A-MAZING puts that boy in his place.

I highly recommend this book!!!

This book was like one big country music video, (when Brooklyn was in Galveston) and I kind of liked it. Well, more than kind of, actually. It had a lot of things going for it, in my opinion. Such as mentioning a '69 Mustang (my favorite car), 30 Seconds to Mars (love me some Jared Leto, just like Brooklyn), and some good old country mud bogging. (That should actually be boggin', but you know...)

Danielle Jamie has done it with Wasted Love! Brooklyn is one bad chick! You meet her first in the Savannah series, but you learn so much more about her in Wasted Love! Then of course, there is Jax, Xander, and Dixon. Can we say hotness overload? If you love crazy and funny, then you will love Wasted Love! Of course, now I need the next book since I am kinda hanging on here...but it will be worth the wait!

You need to read this book and the others that go with it.

At first I was not the keen on wanting to continue past chapter one. Now I know most people will stop and pick up a different book when this happens. But I like to get a little further into a book before I make that decision and quit.
I’m not saying this story is bad, I just had a little harder time warming up to Brooklyn.
I first felt like this book did not match my interest because Brooklyn was being obnoxious wild. I did catch myself rolling my eyes and saying to myself really? I get that Brooklyn is carefree and doesn’t care what people think of her. I get it she likes sex. The author did a great job showing how some women can handle casual sex without being attached and having safe sex. But really when you have a friend that sleeps around as much a Brooklyn your other half is most likely going to think she is a slut and not be that comfortable with you hanging out with them.
Trust me I use to know a Brooklyn and have been a Brooklyn myself. Maybe that is why I didn’t want to like this character at first.
Once the plot started moving I was able to except the character and fall into it.
The plot is wonderful and easy to follow. There was one song that stuck out to me and I felt it really did not match a club scene (Calvin Harris feat. Ne-Yo - Let's Go) and techno did not seem to match these country boys. So having them at techno club was a bit weird.
There was another part in the book that kind of through me off, horses. Now I have horses, so therefore, to have horses just casually running with a stud (stallion) is a little off key. There is a huge pecking order and you mostly don’t release mares out with a stud unless you want them bred. And I am kind of assuming the other horses were mares, if not then the geldings and stud would be fighting.
One more thing that stuck out to me while reading was “Wiggling eyebrows at him”? I can’t even imagine how that can look flirty, goofy, but not cute/sexy/flirty.
Will I buy any more books from this author? YES! I have to now, I am addicted and I need to read all them. I need to know what has been going and what else will be going on. Plus Brooklyn did grow on me, darn that girl. (Yes, I know not a real person)
Is the cost of the book worth the price it is selling? Ugh… this is kind of hard for me. I don’t want to up-set the author on her decision of price. But I do feel the book should sell on kindle or other digital for $2.99 and not a penny more.
Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Wasted-Love-Bro...
Does this book deliver on hot romantic sex scenes? YES! The author does a wonderful job making almost each sex scene different from each male character introduced.

Like I said, over all I will be buying more books and wanting to know how this whole series goes.

Thank you very much for your time.

☆ I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. ☆

Wasted Love is another knockout book by Danielle Jamie!! I’m entirely sure there isn’t a book she could write that I wouldn’t love. Whenever she releases a book, I am quick to grab it. Needless to say, she has quickly become one of my top favorite authors that I fan girl over.

Finally, we get Brooklyn’s story. It feels like I have been waiting forever for this book to be released. If you haven’t read the Savannah Series yet, you definitely should before picking up this book. Wasted Love can be read as a standalone but I feel like you can get a better glimpse of her awesomeness with the Savannah Series and then you dive right into her head with Wasted Love. It’s the perfect combination.

I will admit I was excited but yet nervous to read this book. I loved Brooklyn before but I was really unsure about going into her head. We find out what makes Brooklyn who she is. I really don’t know why I was so nervous. I love Brooklyn even more now and its official I have a major girl crush on Brooklyn Bennett.

Brooklyn is one of those characters that you immediately wish you could be. Heck, I wish she could be my best friend. Imagine the fun you could have with her. She lives a no strings attached lifestyle. She’s not into relationships. It’s strictly all things sexual. She’s living every girls dream because she has three guys. First, there’s Jax, the Aussie hottie. Then, there’s Xander, the rock god. Finally, there’s Dixon, the playboy heartbreaker. Could it get any better than that? The only problem is there is something about Dixon and he is getting under her skin.

I’ll admit I kind of didn’t like Dixon while reading the Savannah series. He seemed like a giant entitled jerk who would sleep with anyone at all. Now, being in his head he definitely redeemed himself in my eyes. Move over Kayden, Dixon may even be my new favorite but only time will truly tell if he holds that position.

I can’t believe that the book ended like that. I can’t wait for the next book!! I will possibly sell my soul or my first born to get that book like fast. Excellent job Danielle!!

4 Stars!

" A life without love is not a life at all. What good is it to have all the things you do and not have some to share it all with?

One thing I loved about this story....was all the little one liners that made me laugh out loud throughout the book. In the beginning of the blub, it says..Prepare to laugh your butt of, and that's exactly what I did. The things that Brooklyn would think to her self in that head of hers was hilarious. My favorites were....

"Those damn romance novels blow smoke up your ass with all their virgins finally having sex and wanting to pass out from an orgasm."

"That man was like the freaking Energizer bunny! He just kept going and going-and I just kept cumming and cumming!"

"I so want his thunder in my down under while he says my name with that hot ass Aussie accent!"

There are so many more comments, but you will have to read the book to find the rest!

Brooklyn is one crazy girl! This is not a story of the girl meeting a guy and falling in love. This is about Brooklyn and finding friends with benefits. And to be honest, I'm not sure which one I liked more! All 3 guys that she meets are all different. Their looks, their personalities are totally opposite from each other. There's the band/bad boy, the clean cut/boy next door, then there is the rugged cowboy! Now that I think about it, I can see why she doesn't just want to be with one guy!

I did enjoy this story, but at first I did have a hard time getting use to Brooklyn's ways. Being with more then one guy, with such a short time between, kind of threw me off. But after reading and getting to know Brooklyn as a character, you kind of get used to it. So, as a warning, if you don't like when the heroin sleeps around this may not be the book for you. As for the ending, it does leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. This was a great first book in this Series!

From fun and flirty to hot and steamy in no time ;)

I've missed Brooklyn, she is fun, sassy, and knows what she wants. At least she has known for the last 5 years. Dixon has her wanting and feeling things she's not sure she wants to feel... Brooklyn's series starts about the same time as Savannah's story does and I love re-reading bits of the story from Brooklyn and Dixon's POV. I'd even forgotten some parts so I was surprised when they happened! The only bad park is now I have to wait until early next year for book #2... I read all of the Savannah books back to back. And now a bit about the story...

Brooklyn is an up and coming actress and Savannah is her best friend. When Savannah moves to Galveston, Texas to be near her boyfriend Kayden Knox, Brooklyn decides to move with her and just fly in for her movie shoots as needed. Next Brooklyn wants to snag herself a Texas cowboy! After hooking up with Xander, the lead singer of Slither Tongue, and Jax, Knox's Australian bodyguard and friend, she still wants Dixon, Knox's cousin. She is thinking he should be off limits, but that only makes the attraction stronger. Will she waste this opportunity to love?

Favorite passages:
- I take in the five guys at the table; four of them attractive. I definitely wouldn't turn them away if I accidentally discovered one of the naked in a guest room while roaming around this place.
- And this feeling of jealousy? I hate it. I don't do jealous. I'm not a fucking chick, for Christ's sake.
- "You can touch me, you know. I don't bite...well, not unless you ask me to first."
- 'Not all who wander are lost.'
- What the hell is wrong with me? Did I go to sleep with a dick and wake up with a fricking vagina? I don't feel shit. Girls feel; I just fuck.
- I can't wait to see which Dixon is at this party: fun and flirty Dixon, or dickhead Dixon.
- I reach up and cup my balls through my jeans...still got 'em. For a moment there, I thought I lost my balls when the idea crossed my mind to put my controller down and see if Brooklyn had texted me back.

Brooklyn Bennett is all about having a good time and experiencing all of life’s sensual pleasures with no holds barred fun. She’s every bit a player and proud of it, and she definitely knows how to play the game: no feelings, no emotional connection, nothing more than uninhibited sex, and this plan works for her – no fuss, no drama, no relationship. She tells it like it is and has no reservation about offering her body to more than one man in a short amount of time. I mean what’s a girl to do when she has a hot rocker, a body guard with a sexy accent, and one smokin’ country boy vying for her attention? She lives loud; she lives free, and she takes what she wants, but when what she wants starts to go against her rules of easy living, can the self professed player change her game and not waste the chance she’s been given, or is it best to cut her losses before she gets in too deep and loses what she was all about to begin with?

In the Savannah series, Brooklyn is ever the reliable best friend who knows how to both protect and help heal her best friend, Savannah. It’s always interesting to get a new perspective on a relationship that readers have followed, and Brooklyn definitely tells it like it is when it comes to Savannah and Kayden, but Wasted Love is Brooklyn’s story, so while we gain some insight into the “It Couple” of Texas, this book has a much different feel to it because Brooklyn is a bit like Savannah’s antithesis, which works well for them both and offers readers a wild and crazy ride not only into Brooklyn’s head of randomness and one liners but also into her free spirited way of living. But I definitely think she’s met her match with Kayden’s cousin, Dixon, and as the series continues, it will be interesting to see how the two players play this game with each other, or if it becomes more than a game and what that means for both of them. The only thing I know for sure is that anything’s possible with these two, and I can’t wait to see what hijinks and chaos ensues.

Sqeeeee.....I'm so honoured and glad to of gotten the chance to have a sneaky read before this is release to the public....fan girling for Jamie once again...<3

Another out-frickin'-standing kick off to a series yet again by the lovely Danielle Jamie...

I had high hopes for Brooklyn's own set...and Jamie DOES NOT disappoint.

I fell in love with Brooklyn and her sassy and fierce antics in Jamie's Savannah Series , and I couldn't wait for her stoy to unfold before our eyes.....and finally the wait is over...

I love that we still get to see the lovely likes of, Kayden & Savannah...we follow their story again, but in much more detail and in a different perspective, through Brooklyn and her antics as an up and coming actress...

She's certainly not someone to be messed with, and I love her quirkiness and her wit, especially her potty mouth...

"What?! You should know me by now; I need the dirty details Savannah! Plus I had the worst lay of my life last night... I swear that man couldn't find my G-spot if I drew the idiot a freakin' map!" I seriously need a good lay. I'm still bumming over that last hook-up."

Brooklyn is a strong woman that don't put up with any shit!!

We finally get inside her head and everything that's gone on, we see her view on things. And then there's also the HOT guys...

1) A Bad-ass rocker..... Xander ...

2) A feller from Down-Under-packing-one-hell-of-a-thunder.... Jax ...

and last but not least....

3) A Dixie-Stick.... Dixon Beaumont .....

"She has dangerous written all over her in a good and bad kind of way"

Dixon fighting his attraction to Brooklyn and constantly brushing her off, she finds herself attempting to do the same. But the connection they have just won't let that happen, after they get a taste of each other they find themselves wanting more!

If you have read and loved The Savannah Series you will not be disappointed in Wasted Love....

If you haven’t read Danielle Jamie’s “Savannah” series yet that’s alright. You can always begin with Brooklyn’s. However, I do suggest reading them to understand the overall dynamic of these characters. There is a lot of background information in them that you’ll need to understand the entirety of this plot line. Her Savannah series will always be in my top twenty favorite series of all time. But, Brooklyn’s story has completely captivated me as well with this first installment.

Brooklyn is that wild and crazy friend we have all had at some point in our lives. While she loves her free spirit and freedom; she also loves her career. She just knows how short life can be and always wants to live it to the fullest that she can. Enjoy the splendors of her life. With a revolving door of men in her life there would be one that would eventually knock her on her ass.

Dixon is Brooklyn to a “T”...except with a dick. The attraction to her is almost instantaneous but being Knox’s cousin, he had to tread carefully. He fights that attraction, tooth and nail, but when the last strike of the hammer falls, something snaps. One taste of her will never be enough.

With all of these hot men flitting about in this book I almost swooned! Xander, Dixon, Jax….dear lord almighty someone get me some ice! While I’m fully in love with all of them, Dixon was my favorite. He matches her so well, their personalities mesh perfectly. But, they’re both so stupidly stubborn I almost strangled them. It’s a battle of wills and who will give in first. Wasted Love is filled with tension, sex and hot men, bounds of them. But, Danielle is not only known for a great sex scene, but also throwing readers for a loop. There are a couple twists in here that you won’t expect, and will leave you gaping. I absolutely loved this newest book in Danielle Jamie’s highly anticipated Brooklyn Series. I can’t wait to read the next one.

OMG does Brooklyn come alive in this book I am so happy that Danielle Jamie decided to do a spinoff of the Savannah series starring savanna's best friend Brooklyn because everything that comes out of that girls mouth and out of her mind will crack you up she is so realistic and reminds me of one of my best friends it is like a personality you won't forget fit filling out the character of Dixon is definitely an intriguing and keeps you interested in the story more and more because in the Savannah series you didn't get to know him that well but in the series you get to know him and his point of view and you get to see how Dixon and Brooklyn are just meant to be I recommend that you read the Savannah series before you read wasted love that way you'll get an idea of where they picking up from but wasted love is definitely worth the read whether you read the Savannah series or not you're going to love the characters and the true life scenarios that only we dream of Dixon and Brooklyn truly come alive in this book and I can't wait to read the next one in the series I am so hooked Danielle has a true talent to bringing her books to life not just to where you can picture them or feel them but where they're actually come to life as you read them and her wasted love is no less than any of her other novels or novel ways that are out already and I recommend that you read this book from start to finish I personally could not put it down until I finished it out of every book Danielle has written novel your novel I've read the mall and I have to say Wastant love is number three and that's high praise coming from me that's number three out of Danielle's book the number three out of my entire best reading list so go out and get then yell Jamie's book wasted love and let Brooklyn in Dickson come alive and read their story and I swear you will not regret it

Danielle Jamie has done it again with the first book in her new series Brooklyn Series; Wasted Love! After reading the Savannah Series where the reader has a glimpse at Savannah's best friend Brooklyn and her fiesty, sometimes crazy antics, I was thrilled to be able to read a story from her point of view. The reader was able to see some of the other side of Savannah and Kayden's romance and to also see how Brooklyn and Dixon's relationship began from her perspective. I can't wait to read more from this series and I know that you will love it too! This was a 3.5 star read for me and I highly recommend both series to everyone!

Brooklyn, an aspiring actress who is in the very beginning of her career agrees to move to Texas with her best friend Savannah, who wants to get away from the microscope that her life seems to be under in LA and also to be closer to her boyfriend Kayden. It is there that Savannah meets his sexy, brooding, womanizer cousin Dixon; one of the only men that seems to be able to resist the charms that usually have guys falling at her feet.

Brooklyn is drawn to Dixon like a moth to a flame, wondering why he is so resistant to her. Trying to wear him down being nothing other than her charming, blunt self, she does little to succeed and instead starts to try the jealous tactic by fllirting with Kayden's main security man Jax. The man with the panty-dropping Austrailian accent can warm her bed anytime, even though it is Dixon that she really wants.

The reader becomes almost entranced with the push and pull between Brooklyn and Dixon throughout the remainder of this first book. I laughed out loud one more than one occasion at some of the words that fly from Brooklyn's mouth, especially before she thinks. I cannot wait to read more of Brooklyn and Dixon's story in the next book in the series.

I have mad love for cowboys - I've made no secret of that fact - and one of my favorites is Danielle Jamie's Kayden Knox. But it wasn't just Kayden from The Savannah Series that I enjoyed. The craziness antics of Brooklyn and Dixon had me intrigued and amused, so reading their story seemed a no-brainer....

Brooklyn Bennett isn't looking for anything more than a good time. But when she meets Dixon Beaumont through her best friend, Savannah, what she wants, what she desires, starts to change.

Dixon is a billionaire bad-boy, in love with the freedom his lifestyle affords. Brooklyn is a distraction he doesn't want...and doesn't want to ignore.

With more than just the cowboy billionaire interested in showing her a good time, Brooklyn is about to find drama on her doorstep.

I loved the playfulness of Wasted Love. Sure, there was a little angsty drama and a love triangle with more sides than a Cracker Barrel menu, but in the end, it was funny, sexy and left a smile on my face.

Having already read (and loved) Savannah and Kayden's story, I knew a little of what was to come for Brooklyn and Dixon, and while you don't have to read those earlier books to enjoy this one, there's something to be said for knowing the role that each character plays.

However, there was more going on "behind the scenes" that readers of The Savannah Series didn't know about, and that made Wasted Love as surprising and engaging as it was comforting to be back with characters that felt more like old friends.

I truly enjoy the conversational style that Danielle Jamie employs, and I'm excited to see what comes next for Brooklyn and her boys - I mean, I know but I don't know, you know??

Wasted Love is the first book in The Brooklyn Series and can be read standalone. ~ Beth, 4.5 stars
