To live, sometimes ya gotta die! Daisy Grant is in a heap of trouble. She stumbles into a mob turf war and now somebody wants her dead. Daisy may be small-town to the bone, not at all the kind of woman to deal with the Southern Mafia, but she knows how to get creative fast!

Enters the way-too-attractive Mark Jensen... He didn't mean to rescue anybody, and he certainly didn't mean to go on the run because of a stubborn, sassy woman. Soon they are up to their ears in so many wacky characters they don't know who's on their side.

Daisy and Mark decide that to live, sometimes ya gotta die. And sometimes to die right takes . . . practice.

Whiplash following the crazy action!

Full of intense action and thrilling suspense, this is an "unputdownable" book. Daisy Grant has the misfortune to witness a mob shooting. This makes her the target of not one, but two opposing mob families. Determined not to enter the Federal Witness Protection Program, Daisy decides to take a friend's advice and die on her own. Just as Daisy meets Mark Jensen, who is a chef and everything her brother and friend have been telling her for years, her faked death catches up with her and those around her. Then the action gets hot and heavy. Literally. My head was spinning from all the action by the time I finished the book!
Some of my favorite parts:"...the fact is life's just too hard to face alone without faith.." " We're here to be a bridge for other people." Daisy's character finds that fulfillment in life involves helping other people find wholeness in their own lives. Daisy herself finds that it is ok to rely on more than herself to get through life, letting other people help you and even love you. Ultimately, God Himself loves and helps you. Vicki also has some great one-liners I'll leave for you to discover for yourself; it's more fun that way.
One issue I have, and that was that occasionally that narrator would break from first person and revert to third person for a sentence or two. There would be no explanation and it's something I would correct as an editor.
All in all, a mysterious romantic suspense precariously careening back and forth towards a wonderful finish!
I received this book from bookfun.org in exchange for an honest review.

To live, sometimes you gotta die! is the theme of the first novel in Vicki Hinze’s “Down and Dead, Inc.” series. Down and Dead in Dixie leaves me, as Ms. Hinze’s “Lost, Inc” series had, eagerly looking forward to the next one. It is a fast-paced mystery with a well-planned and executed plot, breathtaking twists and intriguing surprises.
Daisy Grant’s wit is as sharp as Kinsey Milhone’s, yet her thoughts in this first person account show a raw vulnerability that belie the tough exterior she tries to show. Daisy is an orphan, on her own since age 16. When Daisy was only 6, she and her 4-year-old brother Jackson were abandoned by her mother at a Piggly Wiggly. The logic that imprisons her from a close relationship with anyone is that a mother’s love is unconditional, so if her mother abandoned her, the fault had to be hers. If her mother couldn’t love her, nobody else could.
Through Daisy, Vicki creatively brings to light the fears and shame that many of us, myself included, have carried that wrongly deem us to unworthy of love (if they knew what I was really like, if they knew about my family, if they knew about that time that I compromised my integrity, etc). And she demonstrates that if we give up and choose to let go, God loves us enough to bring beauty from the ashes.
Her story starts in Biloxi, Mississippi when she left work one night and witnessed the murder. After the police arrive, she learns that the murdered man was Edward Marcello, who was being groomed to take over the Marcello Family. Based on her witness, it is determined the murder was committed by someone in the competing Adriano mob family. Being the only witness put her in the peculiar position of being wanted by both mob families. Daisy was valuable to the Marcello family want to testify against the killer, but the Adriano family wanted her … dead, so she couldn’t testify. The police wanted to place her in protective custody. Not wanting to cause hurt to her brother, but unable to contact him for his own safety, Daisy resisted police protection.
With the help of Lester, one of her neighbors, Daisy avoided her already-tossed apartment, escaped police protection, and made plans for her future. Lester finally convinced Daisy that to live, her life as Daisy Grant had to be over, and be witnessed as over. He sent her to a friend in another state who could provide a new identity. Lester only asked that one day “Lily”, as she would be known in the future, send him a postcard once in a while.
One of the things I love about Daisy is that, after following part of “the plan”, she pursued “her way” instead. Oopsie. And isn’t that often where we find that the Lord really is with us….and He will see us through the messes we make … bring us friends for the journey … give His life to those willing to die to themselves.
My favorite quotes of Daisy’s are: “life’s just too hard to face alone without faith. So I decided to risk praying”; “want to let God know I’m willing-without making Him mad”. Had this tale not been written from Daisy’s perspective, we would miss the poignancy of her heart cries, her fears, and the things she thought she could never deserve, and ultimately her growing faith.
This book is an outstanding story that honors the Lord without preaching at the reader, and satisfies the mystery lover and romantic as well. I would highly recommend it for teens, young adults, and even their grandmas – and I definitely look forward to the next book in this new series.
I received a copy of this book through the “For Readers Only” group at The Book Club Network, in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own, and no monetary compensation was received for this review.

There aren’t many times that I’m at a loss for words, but this is definitely going to be one of those times. How do you write a review about a book that changed every idea that you have ever had about how a mystery book performs? Each time you think you’ve “figured it out”, “knew what would happen next” and “saw where this was going” the book twists and turns you in a different direction.

So you’ve just witnessed a murder and you’ve found out that not only was the victim a member of a notorious mob family, but you’ve also found out that the assassins were members of another notorious mob family. What to do, what to do? Enter witness protection of course! Except their track record for keeping people safe from these mob families isn’t reassuring. The last option, then, is to “kill” yourself. When that doesn’t work to perfection, you run as far away as you can with a newly created identity. Will this help Daisy stay ahead of the mob families and the authorities looking for her? Where can she run and feel like she can ever be safe? Is there anyone that she can trust? It be easier to answer these questions if you would BUY THE BOOK!!

As I mentioned earlier, as I read through this book, I was always priming myself for “what was going to happen next” or “I know where this is heading”. When the going got rough for the main character, I knew the path the author would take her down, already knew what she was going to encounter and knew the outcome. Boy was I wrong. This author does not allow you to take a confident stroll through her book, she wants you right beside her, holding her hand for comfort the whole way. Her characters, while strong and independent in their own ways, form a bond as they learn that they have to rely on one another to make it to the end of the book. The writing is unique and is sure to please even the strongest critics out there with humor thrown in along the way to keep everyone interested.

Is this a "guy's book"? This book takes you from the beginning and never lets you go as it twists and turns down a very intriguing story. Murder, mayhem, mobs and malarkey (it’s the only other “m” word I could think of) will keep you turning page after page in this book.

Daisy Grant was raised a children's home. When she leaves work her heel catches in a crack in the pavement. She tries to wiggle it free and sees a man across the street (under a street light) and as she starts to get up a car pulls up near the man and opens with gun fire. Because she is a normal citizen she calls 911 for help. Arriving at the police station things go from bad to worse. The man shot down was the son of one of the leading crime bosses. The man that did the shooting was the son of a rival crime boss. Plus one of his hit men. Daisy is offered federal protection but the odds aren't too good for witnesses where these families are concerned. No witness ever made it to the witness stand. What's a girl to do? She escapes the police station, with a friend's help she plots her own death. Just that its discovered before she can go back to retrieve her hidden things. She goes a different way than her friends expect. Only she discovers that she just went to the crime bosses starting point of their crimes. Now she is in even more trouble. Think - murder, suspense, who do you trust? Romance, cover-ups and what has that funeral home got to do with all of this? I can't tell you more without giving away the storyline. Vick Hinze is a favorite suspense author. I've read several of her books and have never been disappointed. This is her best one yet.

I received this book through www.bookcub.org to read, review and to leave an honest opinion. I found this to be a page turner and just when you think you know what is going to happen there is a new twist in the story. Did I mention explosions? Hope you enjoy this romantic suspense as much as I did.

When Daisy unwittingly observed a murder caused by a mob turf war, she and those close to her were put in extreme danger. She does what she has done all of her life—rely on herself and hope for the best. She flees for her life, knowing she will never be able to relax until she is either dead or at least assumed to be. Along the way, she is helped by a variety of good souls, and she finds a newly confident faith in the God she has always loved but been afraid to approach in prayer lest she do it wrong.

This was such a tender, intriguing suspense story with likeable characters thrown into a nightmare of danger. Daisy has had to fend for herself and her younger brother since she was six-years-old. She has learned that life is full of loss and injustice, yet she is still compassionate and giving. Mark lost his entire family and home during Hurricane Katrina and has just fulfilled his dream of owning a restaurant and building its great reputation for fine dining. When they are brought together, they find both find the feeling of connectedness and sense of belonging for which they yearned.

The storyline was full of peril and adventure and love. I don’t want to give away too much of the plot; so I’ll just say the reader in taken on a wild ride that has a very satisfactory ending.

Down and Dead in Dixie is a fun, suspenseful read that will have you laughing and biting your nails all the way through the story. I loved the main character Daisy Grant, and the everyday candidness in the way she talks. The story begins “if I’d known I was going to die today, I’d have worn more comfortable shoes” and it’s a delightful tale all the way through.
As Daisy is told “sometimes you have to die to live” she is forced to leave behind a world she’s known for a whole lot of unknown. With the suspense of a great Alfred Hitchcock mystery, the intensity of a “Godfather” movie and the budding romance of a Nicholas Spark’s novel, Ms. Hinze weaves a complicated tale of consequences born from simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The story includes the importance of realizing every person plays a significant role in all of humanity and that when that role is taken seriously, “we all become another’s bridge”. In a place where technology and busyness are left behind, Daisy and Mark enter into a sanctuary that teaches them “pasts may be horrific. Trials may be incredibly risky and dangerous and outcomes riddled with uncertainties, but with faith all things are possible, and with God no one is ever truly lost, without hope or help, or forgotten.”
Down and Dead in Dixie is definitely worth the time to read. I received a copy of this book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.

Down and Dead in Dixie
By Vicki Hinze

Down and Dead in Dixie is the first book in the Down and Dead, Inc. series. And this is quite the series debut.

Daisy Grant's life has been anything but easy and it just got a whole lot more complicated. After witnessing a murder Daisy needs to die fast or she will be murdered. So what's a girl to do? Well, in Daisy's case botching up your own death is a good place to start.

With the police, FBI, and the mafia all looking for her Daisy needs to disappear fast and protect those she most cares about. Daisy's not use to dying so she may take a couple times to get it right. But when you're being hunted you don't get second chances to die right.

Daisy's neighbor Lester is just too much and the more he's in the book the wackier and more endearing he becomes. Though Daisy has been alone all her life, she surprisingly finds herself not so alone as she thought herself.

If this book is any indication of this series and its direction it should be a very entertaining diversion for a long weekend or a warm summer afternoon. I really hope to read more Down and Dead stories with Daisy/Lily/Rose and Mark/Matthew. Read the book and you'll get it.

After witnessing a mob hit, Daisy Grant finds herself on a race for her life. She quickly determines that the police are not able to protect her, so with both sides of a Mafia rivalry after her, Daisy knows she is on her own. With advice from a friend, Daisy attempts to evade her pursuers by faking her own death and ignoring her friend’s instructions makes her way to New Orleans where she encounters more bad luck. Surely the new job and immediate connection she feels with handsome Mark Jensen is a sign that her luck is beginning to change…or is it?

“Down and Dead in Dixie” is a story that hits the ground running and doesn’t stop for more than a quick breath or two until the very end. Filled with action, danger, suspense, and romance, a huge dose of humor adds a welcome sense of relief at frequent intervals. I loved Daisy and Mark as well as their sometimes quirky cast of supporting characters. Although the story is likely improbably, it had me hooked for its entire length and rooting for Daisy and Mark’s successful “deaths”.

“Down and Dead in Dixie” is highly entertaining and I look forward to reading its sequels. Hope I can manage the wait!

This story started out with a bang, literally. When Daisy witnesses a murder of a mob son from a rival mob family, she does the only thing she thought she should do. She calls the police. Daisy was only trying to get by in her life, being an orphan and trying to care of her brother, and taking care of her elderly neighbors. She never dreamed big and she really didn’t understand love. Now she is up to her eyeballs in trouble with the local authority after her, the FBI, and two mob families. She does the only thing she thinks will save her. She fakes her own death. Really, how hard could that be? However, Daisy is going to find out that dying sometimes takes practice and a whole lot of help. This story had it all, from nonstop action the first page all the way to the last including serious moments, laughter (her escape), family, friends, danger, romance (a very understanding chef/boss), and very eccentric characters. I was turning pages late into the night especially with all the twists and turns that I was not expecting. Thank you, Vicki Hinze, for a delightful read. This book has made my favorites list this year and I am looking forward to the second in the series. I was provided the book from The Book Club Network, Inc. and the opinions are my own.

Vicki Hinze pens a humorous and yet suspenseful novel in Down and Dead in Dixie. Daisy is your average girl who became an orphan when her mother left her and her brother in a Piggly Wiggly parking lot. So Daisy has definitely not had an easy life. But one day it becomes even worse. She sees a hit on the son of a mob family. And now, not only is one mob family after her, but two! She just got involved in a mob turf war:)

The characters are well written, though a bit kooky. Between Lester the boxer wearing jail breaker, Emily who can't see very well but sees more than she lets on, Keller the detective and even the funeral director you will get pulled in by them all. There is some action, some romance and even a little bit of humor. I would more call this a clean read or maybe slightly Christian. There is one scene that involves a marriage night that is a little more explicit in what is said but overall clean. If you enjoy a good funny suspense, this is a great one to pick up!! And I CANNOT wait for the next one in the series!!

Make sure to connect with Vicki at her website.

Romance and Intrigue to keep you guessing
The story line flows quickly with many different characters that keep you guessing as to how the story will come out. Some of the elements are a little hard to believe – the main character seems to always be running into complications – but it is a very enjoyable story and kept me reading until the end. The ending leaves a good opening for continued stories with these characters, but a satisfying end to this segment. The story reminded me of an old fashioned detective story. The plot and characters are visually developed so you can picture the setting and the characters come alive. It is fun to think about whether the setting in this story could really exist in our world. The best part of this story was that it is appropriate for any age and proves that you can write a successful story without adding graphic details. This is a very enjoyable book that I would recommend to anyone.

5 star novel, as it is well written.Vickie Hinze is well known for her suspense novels, with edge of the seat action. Told exclusively from the viewpoint of Daisy Grant, there is nothing to distract the reader from what is happening to her. Just as you can not know exactly what another person is thinking or feeling, so you see and know only what Daisy does. In this case, it means that you know every thought she thinks and dreams she has, which comes out in a lot of internalization. This did seem to me to slow down the action dramatically, but also allowed the author to introduce twists and turns that I as the reader never saw coming! This story explores the issues of mob turf war between two powerful families and of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and becoming involved in something completely outside of you comfort zone, as well as how sometimes you need someone else's help.

Vicki Hinze has done it again with an action packed, suspenseful thriller. One that I did not want to put down.
Full of danger, intrigue, suspense, action, twists and turns, humor and romance.
Daisy Grant witnesses a mob killing and is caught between two rival mob families. Not trusting the local police or the FBI to protect her she fakes her death with the help of her neighbor Lester. Daisy ends up in New Orleans and seeks employment from Mark Jensen a friend of her brother's. Going to New Orleans was a mistake as the mob tracks her there and causes more danger for herself and now Mark.
See what Daisy and Mark encounter as they flee to Dixie Florida. The help they receive from the most unlikely people. Will Daisy have to die again? What will happen to Mark? How will their relationship develop?
Love the ending. Love the characters. A must read. I recommend this book.
I like the phrase included: Yep, to live, sometimes ya gotta die. And sometimes to get death right, it takes practice.

Loved, loved, loved this story!! What a great plot, wonderful action, suspense and romance. Everything a person needs from a romantic suspense.

Daisy is in trouble, because she doesn't watch the news or keep up on what is happening around her she doesn't realize that the murder she witnessed was a mob hit, so she goes to the police as the only witness to what happened. Now they want her dead and she is on the run. Now she has to die!!

I love the characters in this story, Lester a senior citizen determined to help her like she has helped him, Emily his friend and helper, Ruth and Jason and of course Mark.

I loved the ending, especially the pay it forward concept!!!

Fast paced, will keep you on your toes, a must read!!!!

"Down and Dead in Dixie" is a fast paced, fun story! Daisy, the main character, has the kind of luck no one deserves or wants. She seems to, more often than not, be in the wrong place at the wrong time! Daisy is not a very trusting gal, and neither are her friends! She isn't sure if she is dead or alive some days...and if you think that is confusing you need to read the book!!

Vicki Hinze is a great author. She writes good mysteries with faith and a bit of romance tossed in. Her sense of humor shines in "Down and Dead in Dixie." The varied personalities of her characters are always a surprise. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good mystery that is filled with surprises!

Daisy Grant witnesses a mob murder. It turns out to be a turf war fight. However, what is she to do to stay safe. Well, the police do not have a good track record for keeping their witnesses safe from the mob. So what to do what to do??? Well, how about you die except that you can't even do that right. So now you must disappear and hide the best that you can.

This story had me from the beginning. I love mystery stories however, most turn out to be pretty predictable. Well, Down and Dead in Dixie does not. Each new twist and turn has you cheering on Daisy ad her cohorts. With action, suspense, danger, romance and humor mixed in, this book is sure to please many types of readers.

Not to go all "squee" on my review - but this was a great, fast-paced, suspense romance! I can't imagine what I would do in this situation - hounded by death. Great characters and I love how she ties them all together. The story is full of action and emotion to keep you reading until all hours of the night. I kept wondering what more could go wrong and where would the next problem come up? I highly recommend this story of two people who have lost everything learn to trust God, each other and some strangers along the way. The ending is a great finish to it! Another review said it perfectly - it's a "pay it forward" ending that I love.

Dixie is one of the best romantic suspense books that I have ever read! The author pulls you into the story from the beginning with a believable story plot and characters so real that you want to keep reading to find out what happens. This is the first book in a new series by Vicki Hinze and once you read this one, it will be hard for you to wait for the next great read from this author. This book has it all: murder, romance and rollicking humor. Move over Stephanie Plum! Dixie has arrived and is staying around...maybe even alive.

This is a fun romantic suspense novel. Daisy has seen a mob hit and they know who she is. When she finds out that previous witnesses have ended up dead, faking her own death is the only answer. But she's not so good at it and ends up in more trouble.
There are lots of quirky characters, the plot runs well, and the action kept my interest. I think Daisy made some not so smart choices but she had a good support group, friends who helped her out. I like the subtle idea of dying before you can have new life.
An enjoyable novel, see my complete review at http://bit.ly/1ieErTQ.

Wow! What a great book! I have loved every book that I read by Vicki Hinze and this one is no different. Daisy sees something she is not supposed to see. Therefore, she is trying to run and hide from the “bad guys”. During her adventure encounters obstacles and romance. This book has it all…suspense, adventure, and romance. I really enjoyed this book. There were some twists that had me wondering "what next?" The characters of the book were so real that I felt like I could know them. I laughed, felt sad, got angry, empathized and gave some sighs here and there. I cannot imagine a person reading this book and not enjoying it. It will be great to see what Vicki Hinze had in store next for her readers.

It’s the first book in the series, so I’m trying to cut the author some slack. There wasn’t a whole lot of mystery, in my opinion, and the main characters fell for each other way too fast, and the bad guys were overblown mafia types who didn’t scare me all that much, but the overall premise of the story has some potential, so I’ll probably read the second book ... just out of curiosity.

Actually, this one has been sitting in my to-read stack for almost a year. I wasn't sure about the blurb on the back. But I read it in one day. What a great book and what an interesting premise! The characters were well-developed and there are lots of little teasers that will have me finishing the series as soon as possible.

I read 'Down and Dead in Dixie' by Vicki Hinze. Plan on reading it in one sitting, because it picks up the pace quickly and holds it throughout the story. I couldn't put it down until I found out what happened. Would they be successful? would they get away safely? how were they going to get out the pickle they were in? This story can stand alone, but it's the start of a terrific series. I can't wait to read more of the series. In the mean time, I'll read more stories in this anthology-'Smart Women, Dangerous Men'.

I’m thankful for the review copy of the first book in the Down & Dead, Inc. series. It’s a delightful, suspenseful drama that introduced me to Vicki Hinze’s humorous side. Love that! I also enjoyed her cast of characters that brought me through a full range of emotion that started off with laughter, empathy, anger and a few more as I instantly related to Daisy Grant. She is having a string of unfortunate events. The first of these events that starts the unfortunate events is the fact that she catches her hem on her shoe, it brakes and makes her fall. While down for the count she witnesses Edward Marcello’s murder. If that wasn’t bad enough she discovers this was a mob hit on another mob family!

“…If I’d known I was going to die today, I’d have worn more comfortable shoes…I’m not fond of heels…As it as, catching my hem was catching a break-odd for me, because my standard requirement to catch a break is to need both hands and a net to just miss out on any luck at all. I guess I was saving it all up for one night.”

She goes to the police and tells them what she’s seen. They want to have her testify against the mob. FBI Detective Keller tells her how the witness protection works. She learns their success rate of keeping people alive isn’t so great. Two mob families wanted her dead. She feels she’d take matters into her own hands. It was her life after all.

“Daisy quickly discovers that to live, sometimes Ya gotta die. But when you’re not a pro at dying, you can mess up…and sometimes to get death right, it takes. Practice.” Her friend Lester tells her to find his friend Paul in Dixie, Florida. He’s help her. Daisy feels lead to go to New Orleans to work for her brothers friend Mark Jensen. They’d never met but his brother trusted Mark and so would she. She didn’t’ want to involve Mark in her troubles. So she called herself Lily, then the fun and inner turmoil begins.

Daisy/Lily ends up in a place called Sampson Park. It’s a quiet place where no phones, computers, modern conveniences it’s a special place you’ll be safe. No cameras, recorded other communication equipment or devices.

Lesters friend tells Dixie, “Wounds made simple things complex, but not hopeless.” Daisy was learning a new way to live that wasn’t comfortable. She says, “Every single atom. Never, not once in my whole life, had I dared to want it all..to rely on someone else for anything…! I’m definitely out of my mind!”

Daisy learns that she’s not the only one running for her life. In the author notes Vicki says that Sampson Park is fictional but Shelter House, which is locate in the central area of Sampson Park is real and it’s services include a 24 hour hotline, crisis counseling, outreach, primary prevention and confidential housing in Okaloosa and Walton counties in FL.

This is a fun clean story with some drinking references that has no graphic killing scenes in it. I enjoyed Daisy and Mark adventure to save their lives and their touching sweet moments together too. I loved how he treated Daisy given all they went through in such a short time.

It’s a book I recommend for a laugh and some food for thought. I was thrilled to see another side of this authors writing style. It was so much fun to read and laugh!

One of the most enjoyable suspense books I have read!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this story, it was the cover and wacky title that caught my attention in the first place, but what I got was one humdinger of a story! I loved it!

Seriously, Down And Dead In Dixie would make a great movie. My little movie-in-my-mind was running a mile a minute with this book! Having never been to any of the places in the story I felt transported by Vicki Hinze's simple and yet thorough descriptions.

While not very long, Down And Dead In Dixie is jam-packed with comedy, romance, suspense, and quirky characters. Really, you can't get much quirkier than a guy who can't remember to wear his pants in public who also has a few surprises up his sleeve.

The story is told in the first person and I just loved getting inside Daisy's head, seeing the story unfold from her viewpoint, and flat out the hilarious way Vicki Hinze has her word things. Daisy is quite a girl! Handed a raw deal after her mother abandoned her and her brother when they were children, sent through the foster care system, having to make a life for herself and her brother, surviving Hurricane Katrina, and all of this is BEFORE the book even starts! Daisy is amazingly not bitter about her past and she even uses those lessons once her wild adventure starts.

This is the fourth book I have read of Vicki's and I really feel that it is her best so far. It was like her creativity was allowed to flow in Down And Dead In Dixie and it all came together in an excellent story. This is not a strictly Christian book but is more of a clean-read which I honestly felt was one of the top things going for it. This reader is anxiously awaiting the release of the next book in the series!

(I received a copy of this book from the author through The Book Club Network in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Vicki Hinze knows her way around a cozy mystery! Her new novel "Down and Dead in Dixie" brings delightful characters to life in a story that has more twists and turns than the infamous Winchester Mystery House.

Daisy lost more than the heel of her shoe behind that dumpster. In fact, she's pretty much lost everything, including her name, once she witnesses a mob hit of epic proportions. Now she's forced to relocate, change her identity, and find a new job...all without a clue to guide her. Maybe if she was to find a clue or two, she could get her life back?

Not if handsome hero Mark Jensen has any say in the matter. He didn't know when he rescued this particular damsel in distress how distressing his own life would become! Daisy/Lily doesn't have the hidden in plain sight thing down, which works out well. Seems Mark doesn't have the whole handsome stranger to the rescue part figured out either. But he does have her best interest in mind...question is can he capture her heart along the way?

Now he and Daisy...I mean...Lily Nichols, are deep under cover and trying to avoid detection by the multitude wanting them found. Or even better...dead.

Mayhem, hilarity and a good clean story: that's what you'll find between the covers of "Down and Dead in Dixie." I'm giving this one five out of five stars.
