Abby Kane FBI Thriller #10

Find Yuri: Fury Trilogy Book 1

Rate this book
Solving a murder is like solving a puzzle, except the missing piece is an eyeball.

SFPD thought they were chasing a burglar until he started taking his victims apart and piecing them back together. When FBI Agent Abby Kane is brought on board to help crack the puzzling murders, she determines the motivation behind the escalation is plain and simple. The killer’s bored.

As Abby digs deeper into the killer’s motivation, she suspects he’s not working alone but as the hired help for someone else. The items he stole aren’t showing up on the black market, which suggests buyers were already secured.

Oh, and one more thing, the missing eyeball belongs to a Russian mobster.

Is Abby chasing a bored burglar, or is she hunting a disgruntled employee for the Russian mob?

Fans of Sei and Mui will be thrilled to see them appear in Abby's world.

Find Yuri,
This is my 9th reading of Ty Hutchinson’s wonderful Books. Abby Kane Suitcase Girl was my first. Here in Find Yuri the entire FAMILY comes together. Yuri is a real bad man an Assassin turned antique stealer! This tomb had Russian Mafia, the FBI and The Wolf’s handy men. This is a fast 2 day read for me. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The Kane family is growing up, Lucy is 11 and Ryan 15. Yuri is on a mission and the FBI can not stop him. Sei returns to the Kane house and sets the action in motion to unclog this stalled investigation.
Yuri is leaving bodies and stealing priceless antiques. The Russians do not want any part of this and send the wrong men to stop him leaving a wider wake that adds to the body count. In life if you go back against your Family you will pay the price.
Find Yuri has this key element in it. Yuri disobeys his Russian orders of no more bodies, then he goes after the Children of both Sei and Abby. This is not going to end well… In finding where Yuri is living, Sei uncovers her worst fear, he is after Mui. Mui and Nanuli are in prep school together and are like peas and carrots. Mui is using her skills in a positive way and her location is found out by Yuri. Sei finds out where Yuri lives and deduces that he is on to Mui. Sei is now going to protect her daughter who is giving Ryan archery lessons. Abby arrives on the scene at Mui’s school and ultimately connects with Nanuli and later finds Ryan with Mui.
Yuri has again made the mistake of trying to hurt a Kane family member. An injury is cause as Ryan tries to help the situation as Sei and Yuri do battle. Abby then commanders Mui so she is protected at the Kane residence. Sei works with Ryan to subdue Yuri and Abby applies the final exclamation point to Yuri.
The bottom line with this exciting book, if you keep messing with the Family and with Single mother’s children you are going to go down!! Enjoy, I did.

I finally found closure – I hope!!! AND Abby made a new friend. When your children get involved, it does tend to muddy the waters a little. I did like this story and totally recommend the book.

Tenth Abby Kane thriller. Without question five stars out of a possible five stars. This entry of this iconic series once again hits on all cylinders. Chock full of action and suspense "Yuri" even features an appearance of Sei the assassin. Abby's son Ryan has now discovered girls when he meets Sei's daughter Mui. I read this one in just two sittings. Evey one of author Ty Hutchinson's Abby Kane thrillers has been outstanding. I can't wait to jump into the next Abby read. A must read in a must must read series. Check it out.

Fun and entertaining. This isn’t great literature... something light but very engaging. This was my first of this series, but #1 in the Fury trilogy so I’m sucked in enough to move on to the next installment.

This was a pretty good thriller, which features a likable protagonist (Abby Kane, FBI) and not one, but two assassins (one very bad, one temporarily good.) The story moved along well and kept me interested, although the plot was simplistic and predictable. One VERY annoying feature this author uses is inserting many unnecessary footnotes (which are difficult to use on an e-book). For example, M.O. = Modus Operandi. Is there anyone in the world who has ever seen a cop show on TV that doesn't already know this? I might read more in this series, but I would prefer something a little more complex.

After a series of burglaries evolve into gruesome murders, the San Francisco police department turn the investigation over to the FBI. Agents Kane and Kang run point and bump into an old adversity who is also interested in the perpetrator.

Ty Hutchinson has the amazing talent of being able to write both really grim scenes and launch light-hearted moments that prompt a genuine laugh. While this series is a little hardcore for my taste, I still really enjoy reading these books. Find Yuri is a thriller that keeps you turning pages well into the early morning hours.

Like many of his books the author starts this one with an extremely sick person. The reader is again subject to the despicable behavior of this horrible person. If you are at all squeamish, the start of the book will stop you.

If you get past that point the story has an interesting storyline. You can relate to the characters. The action is good and eventually the good guys win out. Lots of watching over the shoulder and second guessing what is coming next, some predictable, some not so much.

The first book in the Fury Trilogy starts dramatically. I became increasingly intrigued to discover what had triggered the burglar to act as he did. I followed the many twists and turns eager to find out where the story would lead. I didn’t know much about the Russian Mafia in San Francisco, but felt I had got into their mind-set a little, by the end of this book. I enjoyed it so much, I’m about to start the next in the series!

I've read a few of the other books in the Abby Kane series, but I really could not get into this one. I'm not a big fan of the whole series within a series thing, and then add in the mixing of a whole different series of books with this one and it just gets confusing. I didn't care for the storyline of this one, and I also didn't like the little annotations - it made it seem like I was reading a dictionary or something and took me completely out of the story.

This is the 2nd book by this author and I have enjoyed both of the stories completely. Mr. Huschinson writes with a style that draws the reader into the story and makes you feel that you are a part of the action. I would highly recommend this book and author to anyone who likes books with a ending that he keeps hidden right to the end.

To be honest, I finished this a couple weeks ago and don't remember a lot of details. I do remember I liked how the children were involved and the surprise at the end.
Not sure whether I like Abby better, or Sei. They are both very interesting characters. I guess maybe Abby, because I understand her a bit better.

Good

Good storyline, great characters. I feel a little to much of past history between the main player's was left out. Kind of leaves you in the dark. The book was well written and enjoyable. Great job
