Holy crap this series!

I’m honestly not sure what to say other than this series needs to be read. Ana is such a great main character and so much happens in each one of the books. The author has a great gift of lulling the reader into thinking they know what’s happening and then surprise, plot twist. She also does a fantastic job of having numerous characters, but they're all unique enough that they're memorable. I didn't have to struggle to keep any of them straight and that is a huge plus for a book that has so many personalities. Really, there's not much more I can say other than great world-building, great characters, great writing. I am so excited for the conclusion to this series!

Thank you EV Everest for my copy of Rule of Shadows. I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All above thoughts and opinions are my own.

I keep coming back to this series and keep leaving happy. Ana's determination and grit makes her an insanely likable character, and her going up against the Council is such a blast to read. There's action, drama, and tons of turns along the way. It's fast-paced and a fairly short read too, I think just over 300 pages, which for fantasy can feel pretty quick, and maybe just a tad wanting. But in a series with quick-released books, it makes sense that each book goes a little quicker too. Or maybe it was just my love for Ana that made me want to keep reading after I'd finished. I'm hyping this series up to everyone I know.

I really like this series, Ana is so relatable and the story is so compelling. I think I even like this book the best of all three. Ana's character undergoes a huge transformation through this book. Ana is growing into an adult worthy of her seat on the council but she's also getting a bit more dark. Even so, I was a little surprised with the ending. I'm eagerly awaiting the conclusion to this series. Would very highly recommend.

Rule of Shadows (Shadows & Starlight Book 3), my third read from author E.V. Everest. Enjoyable, well-written fantasy with enjoyable twists. Fans of The Hunger Games would enjoy this book. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I can't wait to read Fallen Kingdom (Shadows & Starlight Book 4), the next book in the series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Once again, EV Everest has done it. Another excellent book that delves deeper into the political intrigue Ana must sort out in order to figure out who has been killing her family members all these years. What I love is the great character development and the world building. That has always been one of the great hallmarks of Miss Everest’s novels. I look forward to the fourth book and to see what Ana can do to reclaim her family’s former glory.

Wow, this is such a good series with plenty of elements to keep you interested. I enjoy Ana’s character and liked the addition of her brothers more involved in the story.

Ana is fighting for her council seat and trying to learn the names of who participated in her parent’s deaths, while surviving attempts in her death with only a few trusted friends to rely on. A story full of intrigue, treachery and deceit with some surprises.

Ana is looking for the six names of those responsible for her fate and tried to kill her. Who will win this game of shadows and crowns? This book is available on Amazon

I received this book as ARC in exchange for honest review.

This review has one spoiler.

I enjoyed this book so much more than the second one. This time the action took place since page one.

Ana has to be super careful to not loose her position AND life, even though she has proven that she is actually heir she claims to be, the council cause her more trouble than necessary.

So Samuel was pretty cute here. I am still weirded out by the age gap but i try to ignore it bc his behavior towards Ana is actually great and he is best choice for her out of all the guys she dated.

I'd love to see more of Island because it has lore of it's own and i love each time author takes us there with her writing.
If you enjoyed first two books you gonna love this one even better ❤️
Definitely recommend!

The tension escalates! Lots of political intrigue and mystery, chilling revelations, and dark truths uncovered. Ana is a likable character, and I love that we got to know so many other important characters as well. This is a page-turning adventure with great sci-fi elements plus a sweet romance.

The best

So I wasn't initially taken with the series however this one has been my favourite so far. It is nice reading a proper book. By which a book that isn't 200 pages long it's a proper book that allows you to sink your teeth into the storyline.

Political intrigue and suspense. Ana needs more names to complete her mission. Unfortunately she has to give something to get them. Fast paced, well written, characters that draw you in.

Ok, just wow

Ana has grown so much. My only real question is about her tight group of friends. I had thought it was a power play on their part, and maybe it will be....

Thank you to E.V for the ARC of this book! All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed book three! It picks up right where book two left off. The world expanded, revelations were made and you see a bit of growth from each of our main characters. I love that Ana is really coming into her own and I loved watching her relationships blossom.

I think, for me, personally that this one has a few spots that the book lulled a bit. Nothing bad about those sections, we got some cute scenes and learned valuable information. They just were a little bland and hard to get through. BUT! I will say it was all worth it for that ending! I can not wait for book four!

Anna's sttory is fascinating.. I found the story to be well written & the plot makes my mind spin.
Anna first had to prove her healing ability and her lineage. Every time she gave the council what they asked for, they came up with another reason to prevent her from taking her birthright. They killed her parents, tried to poison her & went agter her brothers. She survived a bloody jungle battle and now after all that it still continues. Her choice of Samuel as acting regent until she turns 18 has created a stir with the Council and they are fighting back. Anna needs the 6 names of the members that still dispisebher. When she recieves a chance to acquire them she is still unsure.
A great read and hopefully book 4 will provide answers.
