The Alien's Omega #4

The Alien's Coveted Omega

Rate this book
Addy

For months now, I have watched the humans make a mockery of our culture and society.

It is time for my group of alpha outliers, to make things right again, even if that means starting a society of our own. One where alphas rule the way they are meant to.

The only thing I didn't see coming was Alil, and just how easily my brother's best friend can sway me into a different way of thinking.

It seems I never considered what having an omega's love would actually do to me.

Alil

Addy has always been hard-headed, clumsy and honestly, a little bit slow. And that never stopped me from loving him.

When he and the gang he is part of disrupt our society--and my life--to the core, I fear he may have taken things too far.

But I know Addy. I know he is being influenced by the wrong people and I know that all he needs is an omegas heart--my heart, to make him do what is right.

The Alien's Coveted Omega is a sci-fi m/m romance featuring a unique alien race, a forced mating bond, a hard-headed young alpha who gets himself into trouble and the patient omega who knows just how to handle him.

Note* Although this book has two new main characters, other characters from the series make appearances. This story would be best enjoyed and understood by reading the other books, before this one.

~3.5~

Like the other books in The Alien's Omega series, The Alien's Coveted Omega is highly enjoyable. I was excited to start reading and once I did, I couldn't stop.

Initially, Addy behaves like the Nassa equivalent of an incel. He's sexually frustrated and angry at omegas for demanding equal rights.

Addy agrees to a hare-brained scheme but isn't privy to all the details, which is how he ends up kidnapping Alil, his brother's best friend and the one omega he's always cherished.

Most of the book is just Addy and Alil bonding and mating. Addy is apologetic and changes his mind about omegas quickly - much too quickly.

Alil, who was painted as a traditional omega, isn't at all in this story. He takes charge and pushes Addy to kiss him (which is a hell of a big deal in Nassa culture).

I was hoping for more conflict, but the relationship fell into place easily.

This is not a complex, deep story, but it is fun and fast-paced.

It also has a stronger ending than the three previous books - a true HEA (with mpreg).

I'm rounding down to 3 stars because the editing is complete rubbish. Sienna Sway needs to hire a (better?) editor.

The author should be embarrassed: missing words, wrong words, random punctuation marks. At one point, Nassa is spelled "nasa." Addy's om-father is referred to as his om-mother.

Truly a tragedeigh.

I had no idea this book was coming out today. For anyone who likes alien smut, I definitely recommend this series. It has some unique ideas and the world setting is good, there are more books to come and while objectively this should've been a star lower rating, I really liked this one, the main couple is the best in series for me so far and I'm rounding it up.

🟣 Omegaverse
🔵 Planet Mukhana, city of Diwan, Nassa race that has been visited by humans
🟢 Alien couple
🟣 Mpreg
🟡 A traditional society with very rooted Alpha/Omega roles that is gradually changing
🔵 Best friend's older brother
🟡 Mating outside and against the established or traditional norms (Alpha bottoms), no auction, claiming by choice
🟠 Obligatory read - the previous installment if you don't want to read the whole series but the side characters are always present from other books, so I recommend it
🌶️ Good smut, descriptive; both vers

If you're reading this series you know Addy, Latif's older Alpha brother and Alil, Latif's best Omega friend.
These guys were friends since they were kids but older Omegas are usually very guarded and kept away from everyone, so Alil and Addy haven't really been hanging out, but both had a secret crush for years.

Addy is a complete jerk in the first few chapters because he doesn't like the way the Nassa society is changing with Omegas getting more freedom to choose, so he and his fake friends establish the secret New Order Of Alphas where they want to bring back the old ways by abducting a few Omegas and try to convince them that their way is the right way.

Addy and Alil soon realise they've been duped and find themselves stranded in an oasis in the desert, where they were all supposed to end up. Alil is sick of holding back and others telling him what he can or can't do, so he makes a proposition to Addy and the next thing you know they're having crazy good sex with Addy bottoming for Alil, which isn't really done.

"It was partially curiosity, a touch of desire, but mostly love that made me want this. I had always adored Alil. Quite frankly, I would do anything for him, even let myself be fucked."

"He clung to me, holding me tightly, his hips pushing into me, his cock running deep and even that deepness felt good somehow. “Keep going,” I gasped, and he moaned against me, going faster as our pleasure grew."

The good part in this whole thing was that Alphas can't get hard until they mate and Omegas can - but the Alphas don't know that!
So Omegas are walking around horny all day doing yoga and breathing exercises because they don't have anyone to have sex with, then jerking off like crazy when they really shouldn't. 😄

Addy comes around and they both consciously decide that they want to mate for life, so as much as I disliked Addy's character at first in this book, he really redeemed himself, he became this perfect boyfriend and I Ioved that for Alil.

When Addy and Alil finally get back after days of being stranded, there's some angst, but in general nothing much, exactly what I expected. Alil and Addy mend relationships, live together and become parents, but what I didn't appreciate was the last chapters when the story was closing down - it almost felt like someone was reading it to me like a fairytale, it didn't feel like I was experiencing it first hand with the main characters, it became too cheesy at times nearing the end and didn't provide a strong finish. Main characters were somehow lost in all that was happening and didn't have that intense contact anymore. Addy and Alil should've had more alone time and dialogues near the end and really finish off the story with a bang.

Combine that with quite a few grammatical mistakes and you have a story that could've been absolutely fantastic, but failed a little bit - the author should've taken a few weeks more to really work on that resolve and ending and edit the book one last time.

That being said, I've already stated in one of my previous reviews that I liked Ossad, didn't I? If I remember correctly I was immediately interested in the Alpha with the pink hair.

"Ossad, a pale alpha with soft pink hair, eyes and scales, was a beast. A specimen that would give the famed Saar and Eisa both a hard time if they ever came face to face with him—"

He's the good guy here, even though he also kidnapped someone. I can't wait for his book.

Lovely!

Proof that even incels can change. I didn’t know how I’d like Addy, but his arc was so sweet and endearing. He becomes such a sweetheart! Another good addition to the series, nice enough that you don’t mind that it’s not alien/human this time.

This one just wasn't enjoyable to me. There were some sweet and romantic moments, but throughout the first half of the book Addy frustrated me both with his choices or lack thereof (the guys I trusted who turned out to lie to me are now drugging my crush, should I do something like maybe stop him from being kidnapped? Nah, let's just see what happens).

The description of this book isn't really accurate either, there is no forced mating bond (the word "forced" is not on Amazon, only on GR). There is also a pregnancy that lasts throughout most of the book, which as a reader who doesn't want to read about pregnancy or birth, I would really have appreciated a heads up on (I know previous books haven't been good at warning about this either, but 1. It was long enough since I read them that I forgot 2. I still think it's nice with a heads up). There are also a handful of typos throughout the book.

The overall plot of this book, and what seems to be the next two books, deal with a conservative movement of alphas (calling themselves the New Order of Alphas...) and seems to be a pretty hamfisted metaphor for a certain social/political discourse in parts of the western world, including an (actual quote) "epidemic of loneliness" among alphas. It's very unsubtle and on the nose, and in my eyes the author just doesn't do a good job of actually exploring these topics in a meaningful way, especially in a sci fi/alien context.

The romance was nice, I appreciated the balance in the relationship, both the discussions about whether or not to bond and the switching during sex. It also had that nice "pining after my best friend's brother" tension, and there was some nice care-taking too. Unfortunately the rest of the book was a miss for me.

I've really been enjoying this series and the world building that is emerging. In this book, we get the story of Alil and Addy. These two have been friends since childhood, but have been kept mostly separate since Alil matured as an omega and Addy as an alpha. Addy is dissatisfied with how society is changing rapidly, forgetting the old traditions of how omegas and alphas should relate to each other. Although he has always been interested in Alil, he feels he stands no chance of winning in the auction competition.

Alil doesn't think he will ever want to go to auction and mate. He's only interested in Addy, but unless he can guarantee that Addy is the one who will win, Alil doesn't want to take the chance. Perhaps, he will just become a priest.

When Addy becomes radicalized by his "friends", he is unwittingly drawn into the kidnapping of Alil and several other omegas. How can this be made right and can Alil ever forgive him? Love finds a way in this book that is full of tension, passion, an evolving society, and the love of dreams. Addy and Alil's story is complete, but a few loose ends tantalize the reader to look forward to the next book in the series.

I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I did. We needed a redemption arc for Addy and we got one. I really liked the dynamic between Addy and Alil; they balanced each other out I think. I was really confused towards the end when we got no update on where the other members of the alpha group went, along with one other omega. I'm assuming that the omega and Ossad will be one book, since they were last seen running off into the jungle together, but I could honestly care less about the other two alpha ass hats.

Blurring the lines between alpha and omega!

Alil and Addy! These two were foreshadowed in the earlier books in the series. Overall, they are my favorite couple in the series so far! Alil comes across as shy and reserved but when he is around Addy he reads more like an alpha than an omega. Addy is strong but with Alil he becomes more omega than alpha. I loved that they got to choose to be bonded and that they were accepted without Alil having to go to auction. Their HEA was super sweet and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

“All I have to give you is my heart and my kiss, with the desert sun and stars as our witness.”

This series has got better with every book for me, I'm in lov with the world building of Mukhana and Nassa. Starting to make progress to support omegas in being able to make more of their own choices and creating more understanding with the alphas.

Better for all as start to see each others perspective, face their fears and move towards future together. While every pairing in this series went against tradition, they're all so different and have their own reasons behind. Yet in the end working towards the same goal and desire.

I wasn't sure at the start with Addy, but it's obvious rather quickly his simply been swept up in ideals and not actually explained his feelings. His not had the opportunity to share with anyone and his confused over the sudden changes which is understandable with how quickly things developing.

Along with how he feels responsible and upset, after what his brother did in the previous book. I couldn't help but adore him, as get to see him through Alils eyes and his own heartache over what his caused. His simply too charming without trying which is very much obvious with how Alil adores him.

I enjoyed Alil & Addy together forms tart to finish, their initial spark and their feelings both been hiding since they were young. They're so sweet together and of course plenty of heat, the spice is stunning and I love how they break away from the norm.

Their sanctuary by the oasis, how they create a home for themselves while waiting - the little details were lovely. The blankets, den, lake, food and chairs - how Addy tries to build this comfortable place for Alil.

So much softness and hurt/comfort feels, as eventually they must return home. There's some heartache here among families and society, after what happened & I enjoyed how resolved. Addy is 'punished' in a way and it makes sense, for him to support after having grown himself.

Overall this book captured my heart and I enjoyed the relationship focus, their feels and character growth too. I'm excited for more in this series and of course Alil & Addy have their happy ending, while still leaving areas open with other characters due to events in this book 💛

This installment was a significant letdown compared to the first two books in the series. The numerous errors throughout the text clearly indicate a need for more thorough editing. Beyond that, I was frustrated by inconsistencies and contradictions that emerged regarding established world-building and physiological elements. While authors certainly have the prerogative to evolve their worlds, such changes require proper integration within the narrative. These alterations felt abrupt and poorly explained, which unfortunately came across as lazy writing. A simple paragraph could have provided a plausible explanation for the discrepancies, but the author neglected to do so. This makes me wonder if the author simply forgot the rules they had established or hoped readers wouldn't notice. Overall, the third and fourth books were epically disappointing, especially given the strength of the series' beginning

The downfall of this series/author needs to be studied.
It managed to be homophobic, sexist, and racist all at the same time.
I really dislike when you can tell that an MM author hates men, yet insists on writing drivel. Just go into saphicc stories, please. Your male MLs are always disgusting people, and your MCs are caricatures of what straight women think gay men are. All you've managed to do is invalidate gay people. Good job.
I could write an entire essay on how horrible this book is, but I can't be bothered. So lastly, the author blatantly says that Western human culture (i.e white) is better than indigenous culture...please think about that for a second. And that's not even going into how much this book is purely just badly written.
I'm putting her on the DNR now because I just can't with all of the bigotry anymore.

Mixed feelings about this book. It starts out very strongly mirroring some of the right wing hate groups we're seeing, but the author makes the group "too extreme" for the character, causing the character to quickly back down and realize they were wrong. It "solves" the problem too quickly. And I get that this is important for a romance book, but the tonal change and smoothing over is really disappointing. That said, I do like the characters and their story.

The Alien’s Coveted Omega closes in on more turbulent ground. Addy and Alil’s love story is a bit messier, built on loyalty and long-standing affection rather than immediate chemistry. The political overtones are heavier, and Addy’s bad decisions create genuine tension. Alil’s patience is a standout—he brings calm to the storm. Though this entry doesn’t shine as brightly as the rest, it still delivers the heart and alien charm that defines the series.

obsessed!!

I love this series so much, I cant even describe it. So unique but also holding all the qualities I love about omegaverse. I know these books are MM but I just need to say…FEMALE ALPHAS!!! I don’t see enough proper female alphas outside of fanfic so this little tidbit always makes me so happy when reading these books. Anyways, I love this book, love this series.

Such a cute story. This one was a little different than the others in the series since both MCs are aliens, but not was still great. I am interested to see if any of the other alphas in Addy’s group are also redeemable.

La portada no le hace justicia al libro! Hasta ahora es el que más me gustó de la serie, le tenía fe a Addy y no me decepcionó ❤️

I appreciated this random alien romance bringing up how easily young men are radicalized into saying and doing terrible things. Very relevant and unexpected.
