****4 DELICIOUSLY WICKED STARS****

I’ve been such a fan of this series from the very start. M. Stratton is a spellbinding storyteller, she sucked me in after I read the first book and I’ve been dying for the conclusion to this thrilling trilogy every since.

After the shocking ending in book #2 with Jeremy’s unbelievable escape (so frustrating) - I knew that we were going to be in for a hell of a ride in the next installment. I’m so happy to say that this book didn’t disappoint! Jeremy Ellison is one hell of a sadistic monster, if you thought you knew all of the despicable, disgusting crimes he committed during his time - boy are you wrong. Caught In The Storm reveals hidden secrets from his past, and gives us the reader a horrifying glimpse into just what it is he is capable of. He is evil incarnate - a mastermind of horror and mayhem.

I love thrillers - they have always been a weakness of mine. This book had just the right amount of terror for me, as well as some serious steamy romance. And the humor! I can’t go any farther without mentioning “the trio”, and how they are absolutely brilliant characters. Evie’s Grandmother and her two elderly friends are adorable, inappropriate, sassy old ladies that are just downright hilarious. M. Stratton was so strategic in their scenes, always weaving them into the story when the main characters needed relief from the stress of fearing for their lives and trying to outsmart Jeremy. I can totally imagine myself and my best girl friends being exactly like them when we get to that age. They are tough ladies - never taking crap from anyone and in this particular book, handing out ass kickings as needed. When the trio speaks, you better listen.

In this book, we get to learn more about Kat. Her past is brought to light, as is all that she has lost. My heart truly broke for her, the more we learned of the horror she endured at the hands of Jeremy. The unthinkable, unimaginable acts she survived speak to her strength of character. I liked that she wasn’t painted as one of those people that just bounced back after suffering a trauma - she suffered, she slipped deep into darkness and it very nearly consumed her. Its revealed that Kat and Jack met months before and spent weeks together - a blissful escape for the both of them. I must say, I do wish there had been a little more backstory on their time together. It would have made their connection not seem so sudden. Don’t get me wrong, they definitely have a chemistry, however for me - it did seem to come out of nowhere. Jack is the perfect lover for Kat - supportive, strong, super sexy (that totally never hurts) and just stubborn enough to break down the walls she has built up.

M. Stratton kept the surprises coming in this last book in the series and thats exactly what I was looking for. The stakes were higher, the fear at an all time high - the danger paramount. The writing was captivating and kept me guessing until the very end - does Jeremy finally meet the end he deserves? Any one of the main characters would be vindicated in delivering him to a torturous, painful death….but - is that the outcome?

What would you say if I told you this book has an ending I NEVER saw coming? Would you be curious if I told you that we are introduced to a new, mysterious character in Caught In The Storm? A character with less than honourable intentions no less…

It happens - and it will definitely blow you away. M. Stratton - if you were going for a shock factor ending, mission a-fucking-complished. If you’re looking for a thrilling, sexy series with an unimaginable villian - this is definitely not one you want to miss.

I’ll leave you with some parting words from a madman:

He brought the picture up to his face and licked them; his eyes closed in pleasure, dreaming of the day when he’d be able to lick their dead bodies from head to toe.

The story is fine and things were going okay ... all seemed to be going along nicely. Then a scene near the end made me think omgwtf???

It is like this... Cooper, my dog, has a trick where I say "kisses" and tap my chin and he mashes his nose into my chin and gives a tiny lick.
Imagine me doing this expecting love from my dog and instead I get a velociraptor attacking my face instead. That is kinda how I see it. (I'm blind so I guess that would mean more to me.)
There should be a trigger warning for this, if there isn't already one. I can imagine someone who is really bothered by that when they get to that scene be surprised and shit kittens.
The previous books in the series were okay, along with Fade to Black which I liked also. There is some violence, talk of violence and twisted stuff. That sort of stuff doesn’t bother me (hi, I love R. Lee Smith and her books get pretty graphic—but are totally awesome) The scene I didn’t like was just a total surprise to me—and despite the fact graphic violence or sex doesn’t bother me that type of violence is something I can’t stand and try to avoid reading about.

The last thing that bothered me was the trio of perverted old ladies. I am far from being a prude, but the way they acted and treated men was aaaaaawkward. It seemed to be an expected thing, kinda like an “aww shucks look what they did, aren’t they funny?”
I suspect that if it were three perverted old men it would be a different story.
Whether the people in question were old or young and female or male I personally think the words and actions weren’t funny or cute. My opinion stems mostly from life experiences so other people’s opinion is bound to be different depending on their own. I just plain think that other people shouldn’t be treated that way and don’t find it amusing.

This is the final installment in the Storm series and in my eyes this is the best of the series. All our fav characters are back (love me some troublesome trio) and the introduction of a new character whom is semi bat-shit crazy and I absolutely love her. The story is wrapped up nicely with a few little twists and turns along the way with an ending that will stay with me forever.
After reading this series, I will never look at forks the same way again

This is the third and final book in the Storm series, and as an ending, this book is dynamite! I have loved every book in this series, each one has given the story a new twist. As for retribution, this one takes the cake. I felt like the fear that the other books instilled was amped up in this one. This bad guy, Jeremy, is the creepiest bad guy ever. He could not have been more sadistic if he tried. That helps you feel for the good guys. Noah and Lexi, Evie and Anthony, and Jackson and Kat, are all working hard to find him, and are thwarted at each turn. We are introduced to a new "victim" who is also hunting Jeremy. The longer she works to understand him and plot her revenge, the more her morality is blurred from good to bad. I loved this. To me, this showed how anger and hatred can eat at someone until getting even takes on a new meaning and it corrupts her. I loved that she isn't portrayed as a perfect good guy. This book had everything. A love story, a revenge story, plenty of fear, and a satisfying ending to the saga. This is a great series, and I can't wait to see what new tales will come from this amazing author!

M. Stratton is an amazing writer! This last book of The Storm series is amazing! All of our favorites are back and we finally find out who Dana Marshall is and she is quite inventive! I loved finding out the history with Kat and Jackson! I could not put it down when I started had to keep going to see what happened next and there was alot of suspense and "Oh My" moments!! This book was extremely predicable, but was good for some light reading.
I have to say, the series got more and more predictable as it went on... but I liked how all three books had the same characters, with each book told in someone else's POV.

I just finished Caught in the Storm and I just loved it. I was so hoping for justice and I think I actually got more than what I have intended but hey, no worries! This is intended to be read in order with After the Storm (Noah and Lexie) being first and then Eye of the Storm (Anthony and Evie) and then Caught in the Storm (Jackson and Kat). Lexie and Evie are best friends. In AtS Lexie falls in love with Noah. In EoTS Evie meets Anthony and falls in love with him. Anthony is trying to get his life back but didn’t intend on falling for Evie. Evie’s brother Jackson came back into town and was trying to keep his family and friends safe. What we find out in EoTS is that Kat, Lexie’s bodyguard was the only victim to get away from Jeremy. This causes tension because no one knew and now they feel betrayed by Kat since she kept it to herself. She was trying to extract revenge but she didn’t expect to get close to people let alone, all of them. Including Jackson. Jackson and Kat AKA Chelle met a long time ago. She meant for that to happen but because of the things that Jeremy had did to her would never make her a whole girl, she leaves Jackson. Jackson has never stopped loving her and seeing her in EoTS has brought back so many memories for him. He is never letting her go. But Jeremy is still on the loose and he wants his own brand of justice. He is normally ahead of the game, but now with no money, and no momentum he has to use everything at his disposal to kill Kat, Lexie and Evie. Will Jeremy finally be stopped? You will have to read and see…

I really loved this story. It flowed really well and it was just an amazing series that I was very fortunate to get to read. It’s got everything you can ask for. Love, danger, mystery and justice. The best kind of things that make a story awesome. The plot, the characters, the imagery and the killer!!! I like how it has so many point of views that at times I had to stop and just be like wait…who am I reading now??!! One minute you are in the mind of the couple and then a mystery guest and then the killer…Talk about a mind warp! The very best kind!!!! And who doesn’t love a reunited love story?!!! I sure as hell do.

Jackson is super sweet and loving and so forgiving. He just loves Kat and wants to finally have her. I love how he just tries to help her through everything and I love how he is honest with her. For Kat, she has to let everything that has affected her go or she will not be able to have a future with Jackson. It would be a very hard decision. For so long she was on the run, hiding in the shadows, seeking her justice and this is all she has ever known but with Jackson being so sweet and persisting it would be very hard to not want to be with him. I loved them together and just wanted them all to have their happy ending. It took at turn that I was not expecting but damn it was all worth it.

Seriously, I know it seems at the very beginning probably confusing but its not. You just have to read the first one and trust me, you will not want to put it down. You will be seeking your vengeance too!

“I was spellbound the moment I saw you. There couldn’t be any other but you. I spent days, weeks even years, looking for you. Everywhere we used to go, I’d go. I’d think I saw you only to be disappointed when it wasn’t you. Even when I was traveling through Europe six months ago, I was still looking for you. I never gave up.” - Jackson

Caught in the Storm is the third book in the Storm series. It was a nice continuation of the story line that connects the three books and couples. If you haven't read the first two books, After the Storm and Eye of the Storm, you will be pretty much lost because it just won't make sense to you without the back story.

In book two we learned that Lexi's body guard Kat, was actually a victim and had her own agenda and reasons for being on Lexi's security detail. It also hinted at a past relationship with Evie's brother, Jackson. Thankfully, all of the questions were answered that left the reader hanging in the previous books.

The story is told from the POV of Kat, Jackson, Jeremy and a mystery women named Dana. I had assumed that this would be the last book in the series, but now I am not so sure. Although, everything pertaining to Lexi and Noah, Evie and Anthony, and Kat and Jackson, was resolved, this mystery women throws a wrench in that because she, herself, is a mystery.
Kat is still very traumatized by what Jeremy did to her, and she is understandably determined to destroy him. As the story unfolds, bridges are mended, friendships are forged and love is in the air.

"... you matter more to me than any kind of revenge. Because I know killing, him won’t change anything. Because I’m not that person. I couldn’t kill anyone. It wasn’t who I used to be. Jackson, I want to be her again. I want you to know the carefree girl I used to be. I want us to have a future together. I was so caught up I couldn’t see anything else but ending what mattered most to him, his life.” - Kat

This book was good but I didn't feel the same intensity as I did with the first two books and I feel as though the ending was kind-of anti-climatic. It also seemed a bit shorter than its predecessors but it was enjoyable and I am glad that I was given a chance to read and review.

We have finally made it to the point in this series that now the criminal is being hunted by his victims. For so long we have watched Jeremy victimize Lexi, Noah, Evie, Anthony, Jackson and Kat, it was finally time they took a stand to regain their life.

With more crimes and broken hearts and lives left behind by Jeremy, it ends up that the above six aren’t the only ones determined to stop this monster. The six have decided that the only way to flush him out is for them to be in public and allow him to see the ladies that have escaped his torture. With police and security heavily involved, their plan can’t fail right?
Kat is having a hard time not only dealing with what Jeremy did to her but the choices she made in the past. Jackson is so sweet to her but as we find out the secrets between them, it begins to all make sense why this relationship is so bumpy.

The twist in this story blew me away. I had spent many hours imagining how I would want Jeremy to suffer while reading the first two books, but the author did better than I could even imagine. With his demons on over drive, he was a sitting target for someone, but would they have enough anger and hatred to finish the job once and for all.

Caught in the Storm not only closes the story of Jeremy and what his future is going to hold, it gives us some closure on the story of Lexi and Noah and the birth of their child. We find out what is going to happen to Evie and Anthony while we finally get to see how Kat and Jackson are going to deal with what happen to her. Of course we had a healthy dose of the threesome of hilarious old women who crack me up but what I loved and hope is a sign of what to come is the new female that was introduced to the story. I would love to see what happens with her.

If you have been waiting for the final piece to this story, the author did not disappoint. If you are new to this series then what are you waiting for, go get the books, enjoy and be prepared to have your mind twisted and worn out but it is worth it.

I am sad this is the last book in the Storm series but it’s also a thrilling end to one of my favorite series! M Stratton does a phenomenal job on things that should be creeping me the fuck out but I’m turning the pages like a mad woman to see what happens next! If you have not read the first two books, they are serious MUST READS!

From the previous books, we now Jeremy is on the run. He’s been hiding out and keeping a low profile but keeping always one step ahead of everyone else. In the third book we are have Kat and Jackson. Kat is the lone victim that was able to escape from Jeremy many years ago. Jackson is the kind and loving guy that we all just love to love. He and Kat have been previously in a relationship years ago… until the day she just up and left. Fate has brought them back together in the hunt for Jeremy. The old feelings are there but will they act on them or will Kat fight to keep her priorities in order, which do not include falling for Jackson again. All the usual characters make appearances and I gotta love the troublesome trio, they are still up to no good!

In the hunt for Jeremy also introduces a new player to the game. She also has her own agenda and she will stop at nothing to seek the revenge she has been searching for. I don’t know why, but this series has me wanting more for the deep disturbed thoughts. M Stratton gets you inside of their heads and leaves me speechless! I seriously hope we get more from this character because I’m so intrigued by her. I want to know everything about her and what has led her to the point when we met her in this novel.

I love a novel that takes you through every emotion and M Stratton does just that! She can make you laugh and then she can make your skin crawl but then she adds the cherry to the top and gives us also a steamy romance. This series has made me a huge fan of the authors and I cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us now this series is complete.

I have been patiently waiting to get my hands on this book and read the conclusion to this amazing story. If you haven't read After the Storm and Eye of the Storm, you must read those first. This book continues right where those left off. Writing this review will be difficult for two reasons. One, I don't want to provide too many spoilers from the other books. Secondly, this book is so intense, it's going to be difficult for me to organize my thoughts about it.

Jeremy is still out there and he is plotting how he will finally get rid of the three women that got away from him. But now he has nothing and must start from scratch. Jeremy is one sick man. He is totally obsessed with reaching his goal and spends all his time thinking about it. We find out what events in his life brought him to do this and in a way I kind of feel sorry for him. His life hasn't been an easy one.

I love Jackson in this story. He's Evie's older brother. It turns out he and Kat had met before, years ago. They had one night together but she left in the morning before he was awake. He has been looking for her ever since. Now that he's found her, he doesn't want to let her go. He's joined Anthony and Noah as part of the over the top protective alphas in this story.

Then there was an added character. Someone else intent on getting Jeremy that the other characters know nothing about. I liked her. If I say much about this character, there'll have to be spoilers and I don't want to do that.

Kat just wants revenge. She wants Jeremy dead and she wants to be the one to do it. Being locked down at the farm surrounded by security makes that difficult, but she's doing everything she can. Being locked down has other benefits, she's forced to spend time with Jackson. Unfortunately, not everyone is as happy about the two of them being together as I was.

I loved this fast paced, intense series. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time.

This was a fantastic ending to the Storm series. It had the romance, some steamy scenes, some drama, suspense, and that bit of that CSI/Detective type action. I have a degree in Criminal Justice and really enjoy these kinds of crime solving suspense stories. This story (and the whole series for that matter) has that rare attribute of a suspense that threw a little twist in right when you think you’ve figured it out. It was intriguing and exciting to follow along and try to figure it out while also rooting for the main couple to make it work.

Jackson and Kat have a bit of history but Kat has fought their connection for years. Now that Jackson has decided that he’s going to fight for her, things get steamy and the protectiveness and stubbornness that is so predominant in the Alpha Male is rearing its hot and sexy head. Kat is dealing with a LOT of demons and insecurities that really pulled at my heart. These two easily pulled me into their world and I was on pins and needles the whole time they were on their adventure. Even though this was mainly Jackson and Kat’s story it also included the previous 2 couples so it was great to see how they had all progressed.

I really liked how the group of characters expanded over the series and there was a lot of interaction with the ones from the previous 2 books yet it still felt like Jackson and Kat’s story in a lot of ways. The story line had me glued to my chair into the wee hours of the morning. In fact, I read this ENTIRE series on ONE day. Yeah, it was that addicting. The protagonists had great personalities and I instantly took a liking to them. The antagonist was creepy and gross and was the perfect villain. I highly recommend this book and if you haven’t read any of the books in the Storm series, you HAVE to read all 3 books in order for it to make sense. Go get them all today! 5 out of 5 stars!!!

This is the final book in the Storm Series by M. Stratton and in the dark, suspense romance category… she delivered big time. This book is a continuation of books one and two, so you will need to read them to understand what is happening. This story is centered on Jackson Taylor (Evie’s brother) and Kat Snyder (Lexi’s bodyguard).

Things are not always what they seem, Jeremy has once again gotten away after he tried to attack Evie in Eye of the Storm. Everyone is on pins and needles wondering what he is going to do next. When everyone finds out that Kat is really one of the girls that Jeremy attacked and left for dead, they are shocked, but don’t worry, M. makes sure the hits keep coming.

Jackson knew it was Kat right away when he seen her with Lexi – the one that got away. He didn’t tell anyone because she acted as if she didn’t know him. They have a history and he is ready to make her see that he is not going anywhere and he wants to be in her life. Kat thinks she is too broken to love and isn’t worthy of Jackson. Will time heal pain and can they make a life together with a psycho after all three of the girls?

There were so many twists and turns in this book, it definitely kept me on my toes and kept me reading all night long! I couldn’t wait to see how it all played out to the very last sentence, and boy was I shocked. This is a great dark suspense romance series. I highly recommend if you are into suspense, thriller type books.

COMPLIMENTARY COPY PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.

Well here we are, the last book of one of my favorite series from an amazing author!!!!!!!!!!! I was hooked into this series from the epilogue of After the Storm (book 1) and never looked back!!! I was excited and nervous to get this final installment.
What was the "CREEPER/STALKER/BSC" individual going to do in this book? Even though Caught in the Storm is Jackson, Evie's brother & Kat's story, it's also about all 3 ladies- Lexi, Evie & Kat and their connection to said creeper. BUT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!! Who is Dana Marshall????? Why is she in this story and why does she hate our creeper? Nobody knows. But why doesn't anyone know?

We also get our fix of the Troublesome Trio , and I wasn't disappointed. Let's just say there is a scene with the trio, a poster of a well endowed naked man & a delivery room! Just thinking about it makes me laugh!!

Well, since I don't like to give spoilers…..Go.GET.THIS.BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will forever be a faithful fan/reader of M. Stratton's stories!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see what comes from her next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before I go in to my review I'm going to say you HAVE to read the previous two books in the series before reading this book. Also, this review WILL contain spoilers to the first two books.

If you'll recall, Jeremy has gotten away and is now being hunted by the gang: Noah, Lexi, Anthony, Evie, Jackson, and Kat. They are constantly looking over their shoulders where ever they go. The are checking every possible lead. You'll also remember that Kat turned out to be one of Jeremy's victims and she is out for revenge.

Jackson and Kat have a pull towards each other that she tries to deny fiercely. She thinks she is too damaged and broken and doesn't want his to be touched by what has happened to her. He is stubborn and persistent, and thinks she is perfect just the way she is.

This book is by far the most twisted of the three. M. Stratton can deliver creepy, cringe worthy scenes like nobody's business. I definitely had trouble sleeping after I finished this book. Romantic suspense is one of my favorite genres and this whole series definitely satisfied me.

M. Stratton gave me a series that kept me clued to my reader! I did a full 2 day marathon of ready the whole series and fell in love. Now lets talk about Caught In The Storm!!! This book was a total nail bitter from beginning to end. More secrets and identities reveal then in the Eye Of The Storm, which made this book even better!
Now I warn you ladies that you need to make sure you read the first 2 books first before you pick this one up, but I promise you that once you have started reading The Storm Series you will be hooked and thrilled with the ending that we got in this book. loved hooked and now addicted to her writing!

If you like your romance with a little suspense and mystery on the side, you definitely want to read this series but remember to start with After The Storm and Eye of The Storm before you read this one. M. Stratton has quickly become one of my favorite authors with her Storm series. Her writing style is magnificent. You can't help but to be engulfed by the story. I'm insanely sad that this is the last book but can't wait to read anything she writes in the future. She did a fabulous job with this book and I'm highly pleased with how she ended the series. I strongly recommend this series.

A fantastic conclusion to this romantic but extremely creepy trilogy! Once again we have a couple being terrorized by a psychopathic serial killer, but this time he's the one being hunted. The romance between Jackson and Kat has been a long time coming. It takes a while for him to get through the woman intent on revenge to get to the woman he fell in love with years ago. This story has romance, suspense, humor from the crazy grandmothers and the total creep factor from the serial killer and the person after him. It's a must read for romance and mystery/thriller lovers alike!

Oh my goodness I still can't get my mouth off the floor. Caught in the Storm is the third and final book in the Storm series by M. Stratton and has to be officially one of my favorites. Make sure you read the first two books in the series first to know what is going on but I can guarantee you this book will not disappoint. I was blown away. Final book of the series. Wished there were more coming! But like the old saying goes, " All good things must come to an end." Event though this is the last it still has a twist in it that will make you say "WTH!" Whatever you do, do NOT read this book as a stand alone, you will not understand the story. Please read the first two book of this series before attempting to read this one!

this is the third and final installment of the Storm series. In this book, the hunter becomes the hunted. It moved along as I expected but then we were introduced to a new "stalker" for Jeremy. The ending was a little more brutal and graphic that I thought it was needed but I was pleased overall with the series.

What an amazing ending to the series! It was so fantastic! You get a little more insight into the stalker/killer while watching the relationships build within the group! I read it in one sitting so obviously it was attention grabbing and sustaining! Amazing writing! I am so glad I read this!

Amazing series!!! Not for the faint of heart at all. The villain is a sick and twisted psychopath that perpetrates some heinous things. The writing is Colleen Hoover meets James Patterson, great love stories with insane criminal suspense and plot twists. So worth the read!

loved it! I didn't put it down once I started it. I hope we get another book on Dana, she sounds just as crazy as Jeremy.

Not the ending that I was hoping for, but it's more than awesome! I waited a year before I could read this one, but now that I have finished reading it, I can say, I regret nothing.
