But it isn’t just that she wants Damon, he gets under skin, his arrogance is too much, but something continues to draw her in. By trade Alayna is romance writer, but a “vanilla” writer as Damon calls her. Damon owns his own company and writes Erotica novels, far from Alayna’s “vanilla”. Damon attempts to seduce Alayna and fails after the wedding and she returns back to St. Louis. Three months later, Alayna is snowed in at the New York airport trying to head home. With an incoming snow storm she has no one to go to, until Damon comes to her rescue. OMG, is there a fan in here? Turn up the air conditioning, holy hell. If you enjoyed 50 Shades of Grey, or Sylvia Day’s Crossfire series then you will love this novella. This book is hot, and just the right amount of Damon being super Alpha Male, but not too controlling. It’s a fantasy and should be read for just that. Locked up in a penthouse in New York, with a super hot guy during a snowstorm? Yes please! Geared toward anyone 18 and over only due to strong sexual content, remember folks, Erotica is just that. Grab this book, you won’t be disappointed! One warning, this novella will end with a cliffhanger, but I have good news, the next book in the series is already out!

This is part 1 of 3 parts and part 1 ends in a cliffhanger. It's fairly obvious from the book description but thought I'd point that out anyway.
There was a lot I didn't like about this book. Way more than I liked.
-- First this is a book that tells but doesn't show. And it doesn't tell you enough to connect with the characters to make me even care to learn what happens in the next two installments.
-- I just couldn't get into these characters. We learn a little about Alayna, but not enough to understand why she feels the way she does or makes decisions the way she does.
-- I hate the idea of yet another "dominant" who doesn't like to be touched. It's now unoriginal in this genre. and he's like the worst dom ever -- he's self absorbed and doesn't really care about her lack of experience or that she may get physically hurt... let alone the emotional .... hmm sounds like 50SOG again.
-- There were 2 POVs here, but this didn't really serve a constructive purpose to move the plot along. Frankly it made things a bit more confusing and we really don't learn that much about Damon from his POV except that he's confused.... well, heck so are we. This might have been more intriguing in only one POV.
If you want a shallow read, with no character development and some kinda steamy sex scenes then pick this up.

I am in love with this series!!! This is seriously one of the best books I have read in a long time.
This is book 1 of 3, and I can't think of a better way to start a trilogy!
Alayna is perfect: she had been damaged in the past, and she fought hard to recover and ensure that hurt never happened again. She is sassy and doesn't take nonsense from anyone, even in the heat of the moment.
Damon is loaded with mystery and a need to dominate, and yet he feels that maybe Alayna is someone special to him. She makes him want to go against everything he had always thought was in his nature, and it frustrates him to no end.
The writing in this book is fantastic. I would read anything Scarlet writes. The narrative voice of the characters is so REAL. These could easily be real people going through this. The drama and conflicts aren't over-the-top situations that could only happen in fiction. There is juuuust enough sarcasm to keep it interesting, and I am THRILLED that I have book 2 to start right now!

Damon and Alayna meet at a friends wedding and share an intense attraction. Alayna is a sweet woman with beautiful red curly hair. Damon is dominating and likes things kinky so decides to keep his distance, until they meet a few months later...
I really liked Alayna a very real woman, I was a bit peeved she caved so quickly and said I'd do whatever you like, but after lots of sex you could see Damon softening on his side, but still dominant, so that works for me. I don't like it when give is all one sided.
Can two people with different ideas on life be together long term who knows! I do know It's a shame the airport reopened lol.
I can't wait to start next book.

Quick, fast and oh so hot!!! Alyana innocent sexually and made to feel like she is less by her ex, Damon totally not an innocent introduces Alyana to some not so vanilla sex. Damon has issues and something in his past holds him back from truly having feelings for anyone. Story to be continued in book two. 3.5 sexy short stars

Short, Hot, and Steamy Read
Ok guys, if you want a quick read that gets straight to darn point while making you hot and bothered then you’re going to love this book.
It begins with Alayna who is a twenty seven year old romance writer traveling to NY for her close friend’s wedding.
Alayna, who is very much single after her boyfriend of seven years broke up with her two years ago, telling her that he was not only with someone else but also didn’t find her sexy anymore. Needless to say, being in her friend’s wedding isn’t going to be easy for her.
Her friend Felicia is seems to be trying to set her up with Martin, in hopes that she gets out of her funk but Martin doesn’t interest her. She continues their polite conversation a strong presence is behind her, invading her personal space. Turning around she is met with a towering figure with a broad chest. Her senses are filtrated with the beautiful smell of ocean breeze and crisp clean sheets.
Damon Lear is a well known erotic author. He notices the nervousness his presence causes Alayna and he is drawn to her.
Now I don’t know about you but a man who smells like fresh clean laundry is dangerous in my book. lol I would be helpless against him… And so is Alayna. She of course tries to avoid the sexy god like creature but he has already set his sights on her.
She find him to be presumptuous ass when he corners her, assuming that she wants him. But her body betrays her, with trembling lips as her breath often hitches in her throat. She wants him…
“You’ll forget any man who touched you before me,” he tells her, causing her to pull away angry that he can see through her.
Damon has never been rejected before and though he should probably be upset, he is even more turned on by her.
When he finds her again, he manages to kiss her till libido is fully charges and craving him but then he leaves her.
“Until we meet again, which we will, remember how wet you are at this precise moment… remember what I do to you, Alayna.”
Three months goes by and Alayna is back in New York. She hasn’t slept much since that night with Damon and he hasn’t as well…
Fate of course intervenes by way of a snow storm and they find themselves alone and only his last parting words playing in their minds…
I really enjoyed this novella and I CAN NOT wait for the rest.

Holy batcave batman I want me a Damon. That broody mysterious man just gets under your skin and doesn't leave. He is intense, sexy as sin and just makes you get all flustered from the authority and confidence he exudes.
Damon is a self made man with a past that haunts him. What that past is no idea but it does. It has made him a man that doesn't do relationships and like to be touched. Only his friend Seth knows about his ways with woman and he keeps it tight lipped.
Alayna is a sweet romance writer whose past has put her in a emotional writer's block. No longer believing in love she is dreading the wedding of her best friend. That is until Damon.
When these two see each other wowza the tension is thicker than fog. They are drawn and magnetized to one another but neither wants to do anything about that. No let me rephrase Damon wants to relieve it but Alayna fights it.
Seth is Alayna's friend's Felicias soon to be husband. Sweet guy but a wee bit wishy washy. Felicia is fiesty and fiery. She does get too much in Alayna's business though.

It drives them batty but Alayna is fighting it. why? Great Novella Series!
If you are looking for a fast and sexy read then this series is for you.
I loved the fact that Damon is a dominate and controlling man by nature, but his passion for Alayna has him breaking some of his rules and thawing his heart.
Book One will ignite the spark for you as the reader and give you a glimpse into what may be if Alayna returns to the city
Book Two will fan the flame of the passion and intense feelings that Damon and Alayna have for each other if they can only overcome both their stubborn personalities.
Book Three will ignite you as their relationship progresses and you learn the past that Damon and his family have fought so hard to hide.
The story unfolds over these three books and had me flipping the pages and reading each in one sitting.
I loved the fact that even though Damon is a Dom my nature in his past experiences that we see a vulnerable side of him. He and Alayna both discover the kind of kink that works best for their relationship and her limited experience in the BDSM world.
The story line is very well developed throughout all the books and leaves you clicking for the next book to find out how this relationship continues to develop!

From the very beginning I was completely intertwined me into the story. Alayna, a women who has had her heart broken and makes an appearance at her best friends wedding!! She meets Damon, his dark sexy presence draws her to him. He is the type of man that commands your attention. You can tell the instant they meet they are drawn to one and another. With Alayna getting stranded in NYC, Damon comes to her rescue. She stays with him while she is stranded in NY, with undeniable chemistry and constant fighting of each others sexual tension, I couldn’t help but to holler at the book and tell them to just give in!! The end of course left me unresolved!! I can’t wait to read the next!

This book gets right to the point; once I started reading it I didn't put it down until I was finished. I really enjoyed getting to know Alayna and Damon.
Alayna first encounters Damon at their friends wedding. Damon is very much an alpha male personality and Alayna is just coming out of a bad relationship and not looking for a new one.
You can see from their first encounter that they have undeniable chemistry. That they both are trying to deny. That being said there were times during the book that they were utterly frustrating. Alayna is nervous and afraid of what she is feeling around Damon. Damon is taken back by not having the ability to completely control Alayna from their first meeting. He is not used to being told no, but Alayna does just that.

Okay so I can't lie to you guys, this book took me till almost 70% before I got into it.. I love the story line the whole time but for some reason the book wasn't grabbing me. Alayna is a 27yr old single Romance Writer who is in NYC for her best friends wedding, when she meets the Damon. He is raw hotness, who makes Alayna not want to give up on sex and men for the first time in 2 yrs then he talks, his voice makes her hot but his words of only wanting to fuck her makes her run for the hills or in her case her best friends condo till she can leave. The book does jump a few months here and there to keep it moving Damon isn't ready to give up on Alayna and she isn't sure if she can give herself to him without any emotional connection. I loved this book. Alayna and Damon met are their friends' wedding. Damon is instantly attracted to Alayna. Alayna is attracted to him to but she doesn't give into him. But three months later, she is stuck at the airport and Damon comes to save her. They end up spending days snowed in together in Damon's penthouse. Their days in the penthouse are hot and steamy.
One Urge is told in the dual POVs of Damon and Alayna. I love books that are written in dual POVs. One Urge made it more enjoyable to read with the two POVs.
Damon is still a mystery. He doesn't like Alayna touching him. We don't get to find out all his deep dark secrets and the book but you know he has some.
I loved the ending. It was the perfect way to end part one of Alayna and Damon's story. Have One plea ready to read when you finish this one.

I couldn't put it down!! I have not read anything from Ms. Wolfe before, so this was an awesome surprise how quickly I fell in love with Alayna and Damon.

Yeah.. that right there is was made me fall head over heels for him. He can be a pompous ass but my good god is he something else.
Alayna reminded me a lot of myself. So I was drawn to her... I was excited to see how she would handle a strong personality like Damon, but to my surprise, she herself had a strong personality.. it just wasn't upfront at first.
Great easy read, that made me laugh and giggle like as school girl.

I am in love with this series and I couldn't put it down! This is seriously one of the best books I have read in a long time.

Loved Loved Loved this Book! From the very beginning I was completely hooked into this book! This was one hot and sexy story about Alayna Wynn and Damon Lear! The chemistry and sexual tension between these two are off the charts. I loved the POV changes in this book, you where never left wondering who's chapter you were on! Oh and there is a cliffy, but the good thing is book 2 is already out!!!

I received this as an arc from this amazing author and fell even farther in love with her writing! So to say that this is hot and steamy is an understatement! Scarlet outdid herself with this erotic trilogy and I know I am not the only one sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the rest!!
