Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, or that’s what they say. That’s why I love my job as an escort with Monstrous Deals. When the billionaire property mogul who’s just opened a new casino in Heartstone tracks me down and demands to be my next client, I’m thrilled. He is far more handsome than my regular clients and dangerously charming.
The catch: Erserro is an ancient, deadly basilisk who can kill with a single look.
There are rules. I have to be blindfolded and I can never look at him when he touches me. That seems OK at first, but when feelings start to grow, I can’t help but long for a closer look at this creature who gives me more pleasure than anyone has ever done. He claims he’s a monster. That he’s cursed. But the more I get to know him, the more I’d risk everything to uncover a treasure that might be worth more than any diamond.

3.5 stars I was a bit on the fence with this book. I liked the sex positivity and the kinda psychotic stalker vibes from the MMC. I didn’t like how quickly Tamsin seemed to move on from any of the shit he pulled. I wanted more conflict between them when he fucked up because it would have been more authentic to Tamsin’s character.
Spice: 5/5
Triggers: dubcon, drugging via venom, fatphohia, grief, discussion of death, stalking, sex shaming from side character
I don’t know what it is about these books but I enjoy them so much!! I also really like how the author doesn’t just do a rise and repeat with the issues of the characters. They are all different, have different problems and issues they either need to overcome or have dealt with and that’s so refreshing! I’m looking forward to the next one!!
I really liked this book from the Monstrous Deals series. Basilisk is another creature that I don't think I've read any kind of monster book about. Unless you count from Harry Potter, and I think that we can agree that in terms of smut, that one doesn't count. Book gives off a whole "Pretty Woman" vibe, especially during the shopping spree that Erserro insists on that ends with a stop at a jewelry store. Our MMC is kind of a tortured soul and the FMC is an escort who gets caught up in her feelings for a client. Don't worry - the feelings are mutual. I liked this book and it's usual HEA and I would give it a read if you're into monster smut. I wrote the review while I was reading the book, so the following from here is kind of my stream of consciousness. Don't read if you don't want to know!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I don't love that right off the bat, Tamsin's highest paying (and most frequent) client is low key insulting her body type. If the picture on the cover is anything to go by, Tamsin is far from fat, and is more like "curvy" if anything. Doesn't matter that he's hired her for the night, insulting her is uncalled for. And we once again, have some unique and tongue tying names in this story.
Ooh! A double dick and fangs that contain aphrodisiac venom? You know that means there's going to be some DP at some point! What a great monster kink to have in this story.
The fact that Erserro doesn't listen when Monstrous Deals tell him that he can't be matched with Tamsin and goes after her anyways is honestly a little on the creepy side. But good on to Monstrous Deals for checking on their escort right away and sending someone to make sure she's okay! Love that vibe.
Tamsin's entire determination for whether or not Erserro's a trustworthy person is based on whether her ancient, blind cat reacts to his scent? Figures he's a good person because the cat didn't freak out when she sniffed her after being with him? Alright, girl ... Doesn't the woman have any human friends she can talk with and pow wow with? Doesn't seem like it, no matter how far into the book you get.
This is the second story in the series where the escort (or FMC) tries to remove their blindfold after explicitly told NOT to! Like, she had literally just been given instructions as to the fact that it had to stay on, or she'll DIE. She is working and is following the directions of a contract. I'm really not sure what's so difficult to grasp about that or why she feels any certain way about it. It's what the client wants and since they're paying, it's what they should get.
Seems like maybe our FMC comes too easily? Good on to anyone who really can come that quickly and without much effort. (There's one scene that the MMC forces her to come 10 times before they have sex ... yeesh) But seems like it's too good to be true. Also .... no condom or talk of one? Don't recall a chat about birth control or STD's or anything of the sort. Just raw dogging it without even checking. I mean, shouldn't he be worried for his own sake? Tamsin is a sex worker who has had clients before him, and recently. If she's not even pausing to talk about it now, what makes him sure she's been safe with other clients?
Whoa!! Biting her because she's mad at him and is trying to get away from him, knowing that biting her will cause her to be all horny and forget that she's upset is a dick move! And then he doubles down on it! Doesn't matter that he feels guilty right away, shouldn't have done it in the first place. Though I will say that I didn't hate the resulting "heat" that Tamsin has. And I'm glad that she remembers that she's mad the entire way through her heat.
Erserro's history with Bellus is so sad and I'm sorry that he had to go through that. But ... it seems to me that he feels guilty over hurting someone that was totally an accident and they weren't really ever anything other than two souls who talked at night? I get why he feels guilty, because he felt something more for him, but it almost feels like too dramatic of an over reaction to him being turned to stone. And of course his overreaction to his ending his relationship with Tamsin is based in his guilt over what happened in the past. Not like he's learned from it or anything or hasn't been taking precautions the entire time to make sure she stays safe. And of course, like the possessive guys we've come to love in these books, he doesn't actually stay away from her after ending things. He shows up at the last second and saves Tamsin from a potentially very nasty situation with three dragon shifters.
So ... mating venom. He can transform Tamsin into a basilisk as well, but they're together forever as monsters? Seems like a crap end of the stick for her. And their answer to getting around not having a blindfold is for her to look at him through the mirror? He's been so worried about her not getting hurt or turned to stone and they decide this risky AF move is the way to go? Being turned to stone is not worth good dick. Even if there are two.
Ugh, what a dumb reason that Tamsin is in debt. Or not debt really, but needs to continuing her contracts with Monstrous Deals to be able to afford rent on a storage unit in addition to all of her other life expenses, as well as what appears to be a shopping addiction. She definitely just should have ... ya know, gone through the storage locker sooner.
Even though I knew that the mate venom thing would work, I was legit holding my breath the first time that she opened her eyes after he bit her. Don't know if I could have handled it if the ending was different.

I actually don’t know how to rate this book nor do I really know how to feel about it. It wasn’t good but not bad either …for me, there was too much smut, so it was actually was just porn with a bit of plot (what definitely wasn’t the case in the other books). I also have to say that to me the characters felt really flat …I didn’t connected with them in any way even tho we got some gimps in the past but there wasn’t enough story about it that I found myself to care for it and then. So yeah I’m kinda disappointed but still enjoyed the smut🧍🏻♀️
📕 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Bound by the Basilisk by Ami Wright
📙 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Monstrous Deals character series. Book 5.
📗 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: E-book on Kindle. 🆓 on LI.
📘 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲: Monster romance
📔 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: Basilisks, novella, sex worker representation, fated mates, plus size representation.
📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Tamsin is working as an escort to pay her crippling debt when she meets Erserro, a mysterious basilisk who she can’t look in the eye or she would risk sudden death.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: A perfect little novella. A ton of spice, great sex worker representation, and a really solid little story with some feels. I picked this up (book 5 of the series) without reading the rest and did fine, but now I want to go back and read more of Ami Write’s work.
This was such a cute read! I never knew I needed a basilisk romance novella but here it is and I love if. I love how the Mmc just wanted to spoil the FMC nonstop. I’m glad he got his head out of his … because I needed their HEA ASAP! Such acute read. I can’t wait to read other books from this author.
The first book in this series that I felt a little let down by. I actually looked down and said "WTF" a few times. MMC got me FRUSTERATED. FMC got me FRUSTERATED. I feel like if it weren't a novella, I could've gotten a little more character development and been 100% happy.
My first time reading this series and despite enjoying the concept, the book itself felt rushed and didn’t really work for me.
I was excited by a plus size FMC, but I feel like we got a lot of fatphobic rhetoric in the book from characters towards the FMC, but not a lot of fat representation. I was completely taken out of the book when the MMC mentioned how tiny her waist was and how tiny her wrists were at separate times. I don’t know a lot of plus sized women with tiny waists, but I guess if I can suspend my belief for basilisks, I should imagine a world where ice cream vendors literally make venomous fatphobic remarks to a woman with the tiniest hourglass waist. 🤷♀️
I love a plus size FMC!! Tamsin is firey and confident and I love her! The tension her and Erserro have is wonderful. Erserro's double peens is 🥵
I hate when the MMC leaves the FMC because he's "doing it for her sake." Like....you didn't even ask her and she was telling you literally the opposite. I do love that Tamsin just continued to live her life and went on dates to draw Erserro back out. That was funny to me 😆

Gleeful Goblin Review: Something I adore about this series is how very sèx and sèx WORK positive the author is as well as the body shape diversity that's demonstrates in the FMCs. In this book, the FMC is described as fat and in a somewhat negative light by an early client but it's very clear that Tamsin owns her body, her sèxuality, and knows that if men have to tear her down to make themselves feel big then they're not worthy of consideration beyond the time they pay for and I am HERE FOR IT.
Our MMC is very outwardly self assured but it's evident early on that while he's tremendously successful that because of who and what he is, that he's also very isolated and has been for quite some time. His backstory is so well written and gives great context to his actions even though it makes your heart ache. And to make him even more swoon worthy, it doesn't hurt that he's packing a pouch with dual eggplants either.
In terms of steam there is enough of it to power a sauna empire, ESPECIALLY if you go in for some fìlthy words with a hard lean into praise kìnk. "A moment later I hear the quiet latch of the door and the shhh of his tail sliding across the floor. A breath stutters out of me. My nìpples tighten. “Very good.” The words are spoken so close to my ear a frisson of excitement runs through me. I bite my lip, anticipating his touch. Erserro’s cool hand comes to rest on my backside and he sighs. “So warm. Gods, I could wrap myself around you and bask in it.” The hand slides up my back pushing me into a deeper arch, coming up to grip a handful of my hair and pull my head up. “You’re such a fücking treasure, flower. Don’t ever forget it. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel that you’re not.” I’m glad the blindfold still covers my eyes. For a moment, I’m choking back my emotion. “Say it.” He releases his grip on my hair, letting it fall softly onto my back, tickling me like features. I shiver. “Say what?” I can hardly remember what we were talking about when his knuckle trails down my spine. “I am a treasure.” I laugh. “Erserro, you are a treasure.” He chuckles, but a moment later, a slap and a stinging spank on my àss makes me gasp. “Not what I meant, and you know it.” I wiggle my àss at him a little. “Do I? Perhaps I need a little more convincing.” “Mmm I can see you’re really just as sassy as I’d hoped. I wish you’d show this side of yourself to the world. Your thorns are beautiful, just as your petals are.” “I’m not so sure my other clients would agree.” He spanks me again, this time leaving a firm, possessive hand on my àss. “There’s a simple solution to that.” “What is it?” I push my àss into his hand, longing for more of his touch. “Have no other clients. I’ll pay you whatever you want and you only see me. Then you can be as sassy as you like. I guarantee it will never be too much for me.” I moan as he slides both hands up my sides and around to cup my breasts. “Say yes.” His clever fingers tease at the nipples, making me weak at the knees. “Yes!”
To me this story feels like all the best beats from Pretty Woman but updated and monsterfied in an absolutely delectable way. You NEED this book in your life y'all and I'm ever so grateful to have been an ARC reader for it. 5/5 Stars
Soooo here’s the thing. I’m liking these books, but my satisfaction, as another reviewer put it, has been full of ups and downs.
I’ll be honest and say this has been my least favorite of the series so far, one of which isn’t the author’s fault.
I just don’t think I like Basilisk books. It’s not that I have issues with their physicality, or their 🍆🍆 (heh). It’s just that this is the second book where the basilisk mmc is bi, yet there’s the fated mate component.
This is purely how I feel about it. There is nothing wrong with bi/ pan characters. Maybe it’s probably realistic for a centuries-old being, you know? Okay. But it isn’t part of the fantasy that I enjoy, because to me, I am first off a JEALOUS broad. I don’t believe these mmc’s would be happy with one person forever. Women maybe, but men? Men are sluts. 🤷🏻♀️ Yeah not all men, but the guys in the books I read most certainly qualify lol. So it takes me out of the fantasy too much and I don’t *feel* the emotional connection between the mc’s. Not only because of that personal take, but that basilisk personalities so far have lent credence to the disconnect as well.
The mc in this book was cool, calculating, flippant. I knew someone like that once. (Wasn’t a billionaire but he was well off.) I feel the author nailed the personality. Almost. Because someone like that? Would not have hung on to the statued corpse of his would-be lover. And especially someone he didn’t get to even really be with.
It was kind of ghoulish to just have the statue around imo. But then again, this is a world where monsters exist, and with that come some extreme things, right? Ok ok.
But the other thing is, and many reviewer have mentioned as well, the non-con snake bite sex frenzy. Mmmm… so personally, I’m ok with dub con. Usually. This though, was non con, but the fmc was…. Ok with it after?? She was angry at him and they argued, and he accidentally bit her, causing mating venom to enter her body, sending her into uncontrollable heat.
Here is where it gets sticky, literally. Because on the one hand, she’s under the influence of a chemical. She can’t give consent. On the other hand, she is an escort. He pays her for the privilege of using her body. And that’s the implied stance she takes after. So…. Murky. But the argument had been about him not wanting her to work at the MD. And she was like, no you don’t own me. Ehhhhhhhh……
He apologizes several times. I just don’t know about that. It’s disrespectful, and kind of further alienated his character for me.
Which brings me to the fact that a cool, calculated personality like his absolutely would run away from things. And he did. Several times. So the character rang true to me. Made him shitty, but truthful to his nature.
I dunno. That’s why this book is conflicting to me. It won’t stop me from trying to read the others. And I didn’t read the TW’s beforehand. Funny enough, the stalking aspect was the least concerning thing to me about all this, because all these mc’s are ultra possessive. They have base instincts and all that. It’s just a question of, as a reader, to what degree you can stomach personally.
The smut was hot at least. 3 1/2 ⭐️

These books have been such an up and down for me. Either they really hit the mark, or they feel like they're missing something, or they just miss for me. The inconsistency makes me said bc I do enjoy the series and the monsters, but the last few books there have been issues where two scenes from the same POV don't match or there are really bad grammar issues that I can't overlook.
This one is about the FMC Tamsin, an escort catering to monstrous clients with a bit of bite and attitude and thighs thick enough to make a grown man cry. She is confident and let's things that would hurt most roll right off her back. I admired her strength in those moments and really liked the character. I felt she was relatable and fun to read about.
The MMC is Erserro, a basilisk that owns the newest hotel in town catering to monsters who takes one look at Tamsin and decides he wants herself for himself. The problem? One gaze from him would turn her to stone. They set up a contract, he spoils her, and when feelings run high, Erserro pushes Tamsin away thinking it the best thing to do to keep her safe.
I could understand the fear that Erserro felt, knowing he could and likely would harm her by mistake, but there were a lot of ick moments for me. I didn't appreciate him biting her with his venom in the middle of an argument about him treating her as something he could buy, resulting in what I consider non-con. I also hated that he tended to run away as soon as things got a little hard and make decisions for her, rather than letting Tamsin choose how she wanted things to go or what she could or couldn't handle. It also felt rushed and there wasn't much build up between the two.
Also, for the title being "bound" by the basilisk and all of the bondage type mentions in the beginning when the two were both working out a contract, there was very little actual bondage moments in the book. I think one at the very beginning with him showing her his tail and what that meant, and then one with handcuffs. That was really it.
All in all I still will continue with the series as it's something I do still enjoy right now, I just feel the books are rushed and the editing team or ARC readers should be more diligent with catching errors and POV's that don't match. :(
I went right into book 5 of this series and it wasn't my favorite, still not my least favorite though. I though the relationship between the FMC and MMC didnt feel quite right, which is why I would give this a 3.5 stars story wise, but the narration helped save it so I rounded it up to a 4 stars.
Tamsin has to deal with some pretty shady clients unfortunately, she has no choice but continue to handle them to make her bills and her plans for future goals. She has one in particular who is so slimy and horrible and he makes things worse later when he tries to impress family and does things he definitely shouldn't and she needs to be rescued by the billionaire basilisk who runs the casino. I liked his story, I connected with him a lot. For some reason I didnt with the FMC but is more a personal preference I think.
I felt so bad for his background and his first "love" and how everything went down. I liked they finally acknowledged it and Tamsin got the gist and helped her fall more for him. I loved how things ended up for her and him, won't give it away but it was a surprise and I liked that part probably the most. I do wish we can get more of them in future books, some cameos since we didnt get a lot of time with the big change at the end before it was over.
Thought the sexy times was fun, some poisoning and heats hahaha, some kinky things to keep her safe because of his basilisk traits she could be killed easily. I wanted to shake her when she was out of her mind haha. It was funny but also I wasn't expecting her to sometimes be TSTL which I hate those FMCs to be honest. Narration was good, I liked how our MMC was done and the FMC wasn't bad, again this female narrator does a good job but she doesnt differentiate between main characters well in between books in the same series (even interconnected standalone romances) so that irked me a bit. I felt the fear from the MMC, the longing from them both to be able to see each other and be fully intimate. I felt their growing love and how he protected her and got her out of the bad situation.
Gave it overall a 4 stars for the audiobook, will be checking out the other books as they get added to audible.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my voluntary, honest review.
“You’re such a fucking treasure, flower. Don’t ever forget it. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel that you’re not.” - Erserro
If you know this series, you can guess the plot. Monster MC (Erserro) desires sex worker (Tamsin) and then monster smashing occurs. Low stakes and high heat.
Look, if I am ever passed out, in need of reviving, just fan one of Ami Wright’s books in my general direction and I’ll perk right up, okay? Erserro gives me lowkey Dracula vibes, where he wants his woman but he’s afraid to turn her into a monster, but without the overwhelming Byronic hero angst. Tamsin is my precious little cinnamon roll that deserves all the best things, including those things that Erserro gives her.
This whole series is a yes from me. This is easy, and fast, and I can enjoy every minute of reading it.
🔥 “Oh, flower. I am going to have a lot of fun with you.” ~~~ Tamsin is amazing! She’s confident, snarky and knows what she wants. And that sass! When I tell you that woman is sassy, I mean SASSY! Even more, I loved her determination to get what she wants and that she never hesitated to stand up for herself or speak her mind. Tamsin is a spectacular woman and I loved her so, so much!
Erserro is a billionaire basilisk. He’s dangerous and deadly. And kinda grumpy, demanding and brooding. But there is more to him than meets the eye. Because Erserro is also caring, thoughtful, generous, fiercely protective, dominant and so deliciously possessive. And he knows what he wants and goes after it. Aaaaand he might be a bit stalkerish, too. Erserro is a phenomenal male and I couldn’t help but adore everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Tamsin and Erserro! Tamsin is on a job at Erserro’s casino where they meet. And their attraction was instantaneous! I adored those two together! Their chemistry was fantastic and I absolutely loved their banters and teasing. And I loved every moment they spent together, especially the ones when they shared their vulnerable sides with each other. Even more, I loved every moment of stubbornness where one of them wouldn’t give up when the other was hesitant. And the spice!!!! Oh, boy! Every passionate moment they shared was off-the-charts hot and I couldn’t get enough. I have one word for you - mirrors! 🥵 I love mirrors! Tamsin and Erserro were just so perfect for each other and absolutely deserved to find happiness and love together.
Overall, the story is another naughty, fun, emotional and spectacular addition to the series.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it!
»Oh, flower, you have thorns. And I think it makes you even prettier.«

❥ 𝑻𝒂𝒎𝒔𝒊𝒏 Liked her although sometimes she was not relatable and a little too forward.
❥ 𝑬𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒐 He‘s hot af. A big basilisk who can kill with his view.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 Don‘t know what the author puts in this book put they‘re so fucking entertaining. It’s the right mix of fluff, monsters and smut. Really enjoyed reading. Tamsin and Erserro are a good couple and I liked their story. Sometimes it felt a bit repetitive but it’s still entertaining. I like the way the author portrays the monsters and how every story has a different vibe.
𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤? Yes, especially if you enjoyed the previous books.
ARC Review This series just keeps being perfect and this is definitely one of my favourite volumes yet!! I completely loved this one! We got a plus size heroine and a basilisk who must wear glasses to control his lethal gaze, there's also lots of tail play and coiling her up!
This book was extremely hot, the many spicy scenes were just amazing even though she can't look him in the eyes, the blindfolds and mirrors make for a much more unique read. I absolutely adore that he calls her Flower, that's one of my top favourite endearments and the one I'm using in the book I'm writing myself, so it was really fun to see someone else use it. I love how possessive and how concerned and caring he is with her and it was honestly refreshing to read a smutty book that had swears in only a couple of times, I do prefer more imaginative dialogue than the same words tossed about endlessly.
The one thing some of the books in this series have been slowed down by is when the billionaire monster starts dealing with or talking about his business stuff, that never came up at all in this one and I loved that not one page contained anything to bog down the pace, it was brilliant! If you want a book that's allll smut and romance and the couple being together uninterrupted by other events or side characters, this is it!!
There's so much I want to rave about but that would spoil it, just do yourself a favor and read this book!
Notes: I received a copy of this book as an advanced reader, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
What I Liked: 🕶️ The FMC is another plus size heroine who accepts herself and I love the representation. I do wish she would talk back to people who criticize or comment on her body however.
🕶️Listen, this book is spice with a dash of plot. I read this for the fun of it and had a great time. If you want a fun, read that you don’t have to take too seriously, this is a good one!
What I Didn’t Like: 🕶️ The third act breakup and what the MMC does while they are separated irks me. If a person did that in real life I’d run the complete opposite direction. Guess it’s a good thing he’s not real! 😳
🕶️The insta-love was REALLY quick in this one. In fact, I don’t even really know how they fell in love? 🤷🏻♀️ but I wasn’t reading this book worrying about that. I read this wanting to have some fun and it accomplished that goal for sure!
Final Thoughts: 🕶️ I’m really enjoying that this series is such a plethora of different monsters. Often you read a series and it’s the same monster every time. This one is always changing it up!
We're back with one of the MD ladies and being an escort works for her. Most of the time. She's not so fond of the clients who like to call out her weight, but she deals with it. Because she's happy with herself and it doesn't matter what others think.
Erserro disagrees. When he catches a client treating Tamsin poorly in his casino, he steps in. No lie, he's intrigued by her from the start. Then he wrangles his way into MD and ends up as a client and he's EXACTLY where he wants to be. That said, he's also careful. Since one look in his eyes can turn her to stone, he has to set some hard boundaries and never really let himself get lost in the moment.
Tamsin absolutely respects his boundaries, but she also smitten enough with the basilisk to want to enjoy all of him. So the fact she can't look into his eyes starts to wear on her. Not enough to cause any issues, but it is there in the back of her mind.
A jerky client, a glittering world, a boatload of guilt, a monster who always have to hold part of himself back, and a lady who isn't about to give up on the only monster who makes her feel alive. *thumbs up*
4.25 stars. Tamsin, the female human lead, is a sex worker. Out on a companion job, she meets Erserro, the male basilisk lead, who is immediately enthralled by both her beauty and her confident, snarky attitude. Determined to spend time with her, he tracks her down.
But then he realises he feels more for her than he expected and he’s concerned he’ll accidentally look at her and kill her…
This novella is dual POV, well written, and an erotic, contemporary, fantasy romance. I enjoyed Tamsin’s confidence and attitude, contrasted with her vulnerability and weaknesses. I enjoyed Erserro’s enjoyment of Tamsin’s personality contrasted with his frustration at her stubbornness. I empathised with Erserro’s concerns about Tamsin’s future. I enjoyed their steamy intimate scenes and their relationship development.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
Ami Wright Monstrous Deals series is a wonderful spicy and sweet read. Full of monsters, hard on their luck, main characters, and their colourful love stories.
Tamsin, a beautiful voluptuous call woman to monsters, working under Monstrous Deals, finds herself in debt and with a lucrative deal with a new client. Erserro, a rare, extremely dangerous Basilisk, becomes enamoured with a sultry red head on the arm of a dragon in his casino. A sweet romance develops with push and pull dynamic between them with past traumas and grief they navigate their hearts.
Trope: Bondage. Blindfold. Double peens. HEA. Found family. Close proximity. Monster.
Quotes: “You are utter perfection.”
“I have you, flower. Always.”
“My beautiful flower. Not stone. Not spoiled. Made even more beautiful.”
I have loved every book of the Monstrous Deals series and this one was no different! Ami Wright has such a gift of using her words to create worlds. Reading her books always makes me feel immersed in her worlds, truly an adventure! Erserro is used to getting what he wants and it's love at first sight for him. From the moment he sees Tamsin, he wants her. He's immediately protective of her and uses all his resources to find out who she is and where she lives. Just some light stalking, lol. Tamsin is strong and independent. She's a curvy woman who's used to the world not always appreciating her curves. So she's developed a thick skin. She's immediately attracted and intrigued by Erserro. And y'all - the spice!!! 🥵🥵🥵 These two together are scorching!!! They are a perfect match in every way! I LOVE this book! 10/10 recommend if you love a spicy, lighthearted monster romance.
Tamsin is a curvy escort who works with monster clients to get by. Erserro is a basilisk hotel owner with money to spare. They cross paths, he pursues her, they start seeing each other and the relationship blossoms from there.
Thoughts: I really loved both of these characters, Tamsin is dealing with money troubles and coming to terms with her gran's death and Erserro is dealing with being a basilisk and losing a loved one in the past - it's not easy to turn everyone you look at to stone. They had a great chemistry and the spicy times were well done. You could really feel the emotion and sweetness in this one and Erserro was such a cinnamon roll.
This series is just amazing! Ami really knows how to write monsters.
Tamsin the FMC works for Monstrous Deals, an escort service for monsters. Erserro the MMC a basilisk who sees her in his casino and knows shes the one.
Erserro who can kill with one look wants nothing more than to spoil and keep her forever.
The spice in this book is absolutely amazing! I don't know how Ami dose it, but she keeps me on the edge of my seat. How she writes curvy women really makes big girls like me feel seen. Love Ami and her books!!
💙 Dual POV 💜 Double 🍆 💙 HEA 💜 Curvy FMC 💙 Bondage 💜 Touch her and ☠️
