Hi, I’m Ryan Ringbloom, a Jersey girl who doesn’t write Alphas. I couldn’t if I tried. Social Media stresses me the frick out, yet I can’t seem to walk away from it. I love to binge watch TV. I think cats are awesome. I’m obsessed with coffee and Fireball. But never together. I am counting down the days until self-driving cars are the norm. And if there is ever a zombie apocalypse, I won’t even try to run. I will let the first one I see eat my brain and get it over with.
Reading Fast brought back a lot of memories of what high school was like, i.e. gossip, girls, boys and of course maybe your first love. The plot and characters are well written and I loved the fact that you got to read each individual characters point of view. It really gave you a good understand of what each of them was going through.
Fast is a story of 4 young adults, Robin, Kent, Ashley and Patrick. Robin is shy young woman who rarely speaks her mind and happens to be in love with her best friend Kent. Kent he has been friends with Robin for a long time and puts a plan in place that he figures will make Robin finally say what she feels. Of course nothing ever goes as planned. Ashley who has a reputation and pretty much is looking for love in all the wrong places figures she should make new friends and starts chatting up Kent. Patrick who is Kent’s younger brother is sitting by watching and wondering what Kent is up to. Poor Ashley has no idea.
Fast is a story of young love or one could say a reminder of what it was like falling in love, things moving too fast and what it feels like when it ends.
To me this was a sweet romance novel, it reminds us of what it was like to be young and in love. I have rated Fast by Ryan Ringbloom 4 star rating. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Ryan Ringbloom’s story telling was fantastic and I enjoyed Fast very much and would recommend anyone who enjoys the young/new adult genre.
I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I have never read a book so compelling and so real! I'm instantly hooked on this series and can not wait to read more from this up and coming new author! One of the best YA contemporary romances of this year!
Detailing the lives of four teens struggling through the ending of their high school lives and moving forward, FAST tells a story of learning the pitfalls of moving too fast, the struggles of taking friendship to the next level, heartbreak and love. What happens when a boy from your past becomes the one who you never imagined being the one who helps you realize how worth the wait you really are?
The Good Robin Barnes is a good girl. She plays the violin; she’s shy, rarely speaks out and has a huge crush on her best friend, the boy next door, Kent. I wanted to knock some senses into this girl on the first part of the novel – I wanted her to speak her mind, be true to her feelings and get her emotions out in the open rather than keeping it to herself. She wanted Kent? She’d have to say it to him – especially when he’s spending more and more time with Ashley and less time with her. When she finally got the boy of her dreams, she plunges in, and found herself drowning in the fast whirl of young romance.
The Bad Ashley Simons – I don’t know if I would love or pity this girl! She loves strawberry gum, she’s rich, popular, beautiful, and guys go after her. She only knows fast – she sleeps around, hoping that the next guy would sweep her off her feet. She always ends up alone, with her fake friends. Until Kent offered to be her friend, asked him to his house and well, leave her alone with his younger brother Patrick. He doesn’t kiss her, doesn’t make any moves on her- which makes Ashley confused. But it was Patrick who got into her senses – the boy who spends so much time with his younger brother and who is impatient to teach her to play video games is suddenly invading her thoughts. He’s too good for her though.
The Boys Next Door: Kent wanted his best friend for a long time, but if she won’t fight for him, or what she felt, then it would be useless. He tried a different tactic, befriending Ashley, asking her to join it at home and wanting to see Robin’s reaction to it may be a little mercenary, but the end would justify the means, won’t it? But when finally he had her, Robin changed. She now knew what she wanted and she was not the timid girl he once knew, she speaks her mind. He wanted that change – but it’s the changes that are driving them apart. He felt he’s not just about to lose his girlfriend but his best friend as well.
Patrick had his eyes set for only one person. He fell in love when he was ten years old, but the girl never shared the same sentiment and seemed to forget about his existence. While Kent is busy with his love life and a lot of sports, Patrick stays at home and volunteers to watch on his baby brother Matthew and the girl his brother always invites home, Ashley. He wanted to prove to Ashley that she was worth it, he wanted to move slow – and he was going to teach this fast girl just how nice SLOW can be.
There’s nothing more refreshing and more exciting than young love! FAST tells the story of four young teens – Robin, Ashley, Patrick and Kent. Fast is all about love, family and friendship. Going fast is great because it gets your adrenaline pumping, but once the adrenaline diminishes, you will feel tired, worn out, bored. Going slow may have you tapping your feet at times, but it builds anticipation, excitement. Some things are really worth the wait!
Interesting characters, storyline and ending I have never expected made me finished this novel in one sitting. I enjoyed reading it and it made me feel like in high school again.

I am such a huge fan of sweet young adult romance and this one does not disappoint. The story follows the lives of four people with the occasional secondary character but I found myself engaged by two in particular. Patrick and Ashley pulled me right into their world and I was so excited to make it about 3/4 of the way through and get to see background I'd been dying to know about. It was just a sweet, fun read and it had the right element of drama in it to make it believable. The best part about all of this is, there's another book! So I don't have to stop here and wonder what happens next. So glad I found this author and for anyone who enjoys young adult romance should definitely pick this book up! Definite must read!
Wow...when I first picked up this book, I thought it would just be another typical teenage love story. This book was way more than that. It exceeded my expectations...completely blew me away. I laughed, I cried, heck I even blushed like a giddy little teenager. The author did an excellent job at portraying all the different emotions and experience which most young adults go through which shape them into who they become. This is a beautiful & very well written story from 4 people's P.O.V. which will captivate the reader from the beginning to the end. I recommend Ryan Ringbloom to everyone and look forward to reading the next book in this series no later than tonight.
Sweet story with out being to fairy tale really enjoyed reading firstly from the girls point of view and then from the boys u don't get that very often . I would recommend this to anyone who likes a goood loved story .

Fast by Ryan Ringbloom Series: The Fast Series #1 Genre: Contemporary Romance Age Group: Young Adult Release Date: August 12th 2013 Print Length: 254 pages Overall Rating: 5 STARS
Review: I have to say I am generally not a young adult book reader. But every once in a while I like to read them and I'm sure glad I read this one! Ryan does an amazing job writing about four high school teens and their struggles with relationships, fitting in, and labels.
Robin is a quite, shy girl starting her senior year of high school. She has been in love with the boy next door Kent for several years now. The problem is they are best friends. Robin has seen what dating your best friend will do to a friendship and she would rather have him as a friend then nothing at all. So she keeps her feelings hidden so they don't affect their friendship.
Kent is also starting his senior year of high school, and is very musically talented. Him and Robin have always been great friends. But he has a secret of his own, he is in love with Robin. He wants Robin to admit that she wants more with him but he finds that with her shy manor it's not going to be an easy task.
When Kent and Robin finally get together they feel as though they could never move to fast to mess up this new found relationship, and love they have for one another. So after only a couple of weeks of dating they take the big step. Did they move to fast? Can they handle being in this new relationship with all the new benefits? Can they remain friends no matter what? READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ;-)
Ashley has decided that this year in school she will not be labeled as "easy". She goes from boyfriend to boyfriend and is on the hunt again, but this time she wants a nice guy. She has decided to reinvent her self by finding new friends in the "good" crowd. Ashley finds those new friends by pretending to be everything she's not, and judging them in her mind. Soon she has the new friends and the prospect of a new boyfriend in her sights. Kent is in her sights but doesn't realize that he has other plans.
Patrick is the younger brother to Kent. He is a Junior in high school. Patrick has been in love with a blonde haired beauty since a very young age. The problem she is older and doesn't even know that he is alive.
Will Ashley be able to keep up her act with her new friends or will she go back to her old ways? Will Patrick ever get the girl of his dreams?
I highly recommend this book if you like Young Adult books. It had me laughing out loud, while pulling me into the story of these four characters. FAST also had me thinking about my high school years and how much fun I had. As well as all the hard situations I faced between doing right and wrong. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to Ryan's next book WAIT that comes out very soon.

I was asked by the author to read and honestly review this book. I am so glad this author contacted me, because I could not put this book down. The story follows the intertwined lives of 4 high school students. The beginning of the book has the view points of Robin and Ashley, and a little over halfway through it switches to the view points of Kent and Patrick. I loved being able to get inside the heads of each of these characters and find out what made each of them tick. Everyone can relate to each of the characters because they will remind you so much of people you knew in high school.
I wasn’t quite sure whether to feel sorry for Ashley in the beginning or just kind of disgusted honestly. But she becomes this character that I grew to love and wanted the absolute best for. Someone that seemed so completely screwed up at first…but once her story unravels..you realize she just needed someone to believe in her and love her.
Robin is the typical good girl, doesn’t ever seem to get into any trouble and is in love with the boy next door. It was almost painful watching her rushing into things as her story unraveled.
I don’t want to give too much more of this story away, but just want to say that I really enjoyed each and every one of the four characters in this book. I loved the small little details of each one as well, like Ashley’s obsession with strawberry gum and how it actually played into the story.
This is an awesome high school story about 4 teenagers and learning the hard way about moving fast. I was so immersed that I did not want to put my kindle down! The only negative I have to say about this book, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the story…is I think the cover needs a revamp. :) It’s an awesome book and needs a more awesome cover to show it! But of course, that’s just my opinion as a graphic designer and marketing director…not a reviewer
The first book I ever read by Ryan Ringbloom was Flaw and that story was more adult even tho they were pretty young in it. This one is like goin back in time but I think I liked it even more than Flaw cause it was real. When you spend your whole high school existence being a certain way, you see a lot. I wasn’t a nice guy and the people I hung out with weren’t nice either. We were the Josh characters. The girls were Ashleys. I think what I liked most about this book was Ashley right from the start admitted what kind of person she was and made no excuses for it. Being that way made me like her instead of pulling a total guy move and calling her a slut or whatever. Half the chicks I went to school with couldn’t admit they were a certain way. Having this girl do it fuckin ruled seriously. The back story with Patrick and Ash, I was into that. Added an interesting element to the story that I didn’t see coming. They definitely stole the story away from Robin and Kent here, tho I definitely liked seeing the idea of moving fast workin in their situation to. I liked the 4 way POV. I sort of dig knowing what people are thinking when I’m reading about them. Patrick is my boy. Kent made me wanna beat the hell out of him at one point but because the way he was reactin was real to me, I got it and resisted lol. This was Ryan’s debut book and it was pretty damn cool. This book moves so freaking “fast” I was speed reading through breaks at work in order to finish it. Not once did I feel bored. Another thing that made this book freakin great. If you like Young Adult books or romance, you can’t miss out on this. It’s got a happy ending to and who doesn’t like those?
In a lot of New Adult books the main character is often the shy, good girl who tames the bad boy, conquers both of their demons, before disappearing into the sunset with her new hottie. Well in Fast there are four MC's who all represent different aspects of that awkward phase before adulthood.
Fast analyses the notion of good and bad by asking you to look at different perspectives and characters. Ryan Ringbloom looks at what happens after the perceived HEA.
At first glance Robin is clearly the good girl. She's the geek who's in love with her best friend Kent, whilst Ashley is the bitchy villain of the story. But as the story progresses it begins to look like the real villain is located elsewhere. The story focuses on Robin, Ashley, Kent, Patrick and their friends as they move through high school, find love, fall out, make up and break up.
You don't often get the POV of the popular girl and I was pleasantly surprised by Ashley. I liked Fast because the story wasn't too predictable and the different POV's kept the story interesting. I found Robin a little annoying for most of the book but she redeemed herself later on. The 'day they met' sections were my favourite (you'll see what I mean when you read the book).
Fast is a sweet story, with some smutty bits (not too much detail so don't worry) and I'd like my own Patrick please!!
4 Stars in my Sky!
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!
Fast is Ryan's very first foray into young adult romance. I downloaded it two days ago and DEVOURED it. Every spare second was spent with my nose in my Kindle. I couldn't get enough of Ashley, Patrick, Robin and Kent. I also have to say, just as an aside, I love Ryan's storytelling style. She begins the first section through the eyes of her heroines and then moves into a second part that is driven by the heroes. It is a unique way of capturing the perspectives of each character and she's definitely established the delivery as her signature style.
The book greatly exceeded my expectations. Ryan breathed life into her characters, giving them depth and dimension. I knew them, felt their pain as well as their passion.
What else can I say? I just LOVED it. I hope you take the same chance. You won't be disappointed.
This is a story containing multiple stories...if that makes sense. Robin has been best friends with Kent for as long as she can remember but when he finally kisses Robin she freaks out. So Kent dates Ashley Simmons to make Robin jealous, but Kent's brother Patrick is in love with Ashley. This story tells what happens with things go too fast.
This book is a cute, heartbreaking, lovely story of relationships in high school. I enjoyed the characters and how Ryan made you fall in love with "the bad one" and feel sorry for "the good one". You think you should root for one couple and the way Ryan tells the story you change your mind. The characters are well thought out and the only questions I have are the what happens next kind. The best kind. I would recommend this to anyone

I loved this story about four characters at the same high school who move to fast in their relationships. Each has their own unique story and path to self discovery, but together they create a roller coaster of emotions leaving you wanting more at the end. Fortunately, this book is part of a saga. There is no dreaded cliffhanger ending thank goodness.
Her next book WAIT will be out soon, and it follows another four characters that end up waiting to move their relationships forward. I cannot wait to read more!
I have to admit, this book made me laugh and cry. I loved the couples in this book. Ashley and Patrick made me laugh while Kent and Robin made me cry. The sex talk from the mom was hilarious while Robin's letter was sad. I do hope she gets a chance to read it in the future. Robin was very frustrating to read in the beginning but I'm glad she grew a spine. Ashley's self-esteem issues reminded me of my best friend in high school. I'm glad she was able to work through her problems. I know Ashley and Patrick show up in another book but I would like another book about them. Kent and Robin to
Mixed feelings about this book, I liked the characters and the idea of the story. I like that the stories were switching back and forth and interweaving. It got my emotions moving. I felt heart broken, weak, and hopeless at time. At other times there was friendship and family and happiness. The tone of the book was unique and maybe thats why I'm having such a hard time rating it. It's not that I didn't really enjoy the book so don't look at my rating as a negative in anyway. It just something I can't put my finger on....
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. i picked up this book at random because i wanted to read a romance. i was not expecting much out of the book but i was pleasantly surprised. here is what i think of the book.
I received a free digital copy from storycartel.com in exchange for a review.
I read Wait first not knowing which was the 1st, but it was okay the way the book was structured. This is a good fast-paced high school story. It was realistic, and I felt the characters' tensions, heartbreaks, and happiness. I was aiming for Robin to speak up for herself and Ashley to find that right relationship. I wanted to get more of the guy's point of view, though. Overrall, the book was well-written.
I first met Robin and Kent in "Panic" and I loved them. Fast takes place when they were in high school, kind of a flashback for me. I enjoyed getting to know them as teens as well as Patrick, Kent's brother and Ashley, who are adorable. Their story is also in Panic, but more secondary, so it was nice reading how everything started. Such a cute, humorous and sometimes emotional book. I really enjoy Ryan Ringbloom's storytelling.
This book was really good. I read the series out of order (still think I'm doing that) so it answered the questions I had about Kent and Robin and I got to see how Patrick and Ashley meet. I actually liked their story more so than Kent and Robin's solely because Kent and Robin were still up in the air. A fast read too. There were some grammar errors but overall a great book.
A story about high school love, lust, mean girls, fake friendships and sexual pressures. Ashley the bad girl who is looking for love in all the wrong places falls for Patrick. His brother Kent discovers he is in love with his best friend Robin. Very realistic story of high school teens. Would recommend this book and "Wait" book two in the "Fast Series!"
Based on the reviews, I really wanted to read this, and I started. But, I feel a little bad that I just couldn't finish it. I don't like to just stop reading a story, but I lost interest very quickly. I may return to it at a later date, but I doubt it.
Another great book by Ryan Ringbloom! I loved reading Fast and just started Wait. The characters are very relatable and Ryan always tells a great story. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
