The female I want is the very person who threatens my plans…
Nottuza My undead army is in need of a general. The soldiers are divided. Weak. Ruled by the leader of Summer court. The brother of the princess…
Fleur is alluring, everything I’ve ever desired. The type of female who can topple kingdoms and bring males to their knees. Her presence is hard to resist, Which makes her dangerous. To me and my secrets.
That doesn’t stop me from watching her from the shadows. Or feeding my addiction with a glance or a touch. If I don’t stay away from her, everything I’ve set out to accomplish will burn up in flames. But not having her makes me obsess.
*** this book is a part of a series, but can stand alone if it must.
Milana grew up with tales of water fairies that seduced men, vampires that seduced women, and Babaroga who'd come to take her away if she didn't eat her bean soup. She writes sci-fi fantasy romance with over-the-top heroes from her home on Earth where she lives with her mate and their three little monsters. • Safe from cheating, otherwoman drama, and with HEA every time, Milana's stories will entertain you. This might just be my favorite book by MJ. I wasn't even sure I'd like Fleur in her own book but I adored her. I loved Notuzza. They had amazing chemistry.
I merely wish the slow burn hadn't been so slow between them and that the book was ten or more chapters longer. There felt like there was still so much to explore and to learn with Notuzza and even Fleur.
I was especially fascinated by the history of the noturrnos and their connection to undead magic and the Winter Court. Out of all the world building and history MJ has given to us throughout this series and the interconnected ones that came before, I really found this particular history to be just so interesting. I simply wanted so much more from it. I wanted more details, more flashbacks, just more Notuzza and his alpha badassery.
***** SPOILERS BELOW *****
That epilogue while cute just wasn't enough! I would have felt like following the pregnancy and seeing this all happen on page would have been more enjoyable and even important to the story considering all the facts surrounding their relationship and Fleur becoming pregnant. Tbh I kinda of feel jipped MJ just fast forwarded right thru it and gave us a little "oh and this happened!" sort of sneak peek. Especially so with that oh so casual mention about Notuzza getting his Fae-Ted wings because Fleur is clearly his true mate....um THESE ARE IMPORTANT FACTS WE WANT TO SEE ON PAGE, PLS. I just wanted more scenes where Fleur and Notuzza were actually TOGETHER because they only fully became a couple at the end and then the book ends.
So, while this might be my fave book of hers I'm also gonna go sulk in disappointment she didn't give us enough Fleur and Notuzza when it mattered.
Series overall: Never read Milana Jacks before but I got completely sucked into this series. It has some worldbuilding without getting too far into the weeds, spicy scenes, good chemistry between all the MCs, and humor just when I needed it. They all have some drama to keep things interesting and the MMCs all have a dark edge to them, which I enjoyed.
Book 3: Fleur makes this book for me because Nottuza is hard to get a handle on. I had to take it down a star because it has one trope (the fertility miracle) that I loathe.
I had not read the other books in a while so lots was fuzzy in this world. I suggest rereading the series before this one.
Just to vent, this book frustrated me bc it contained lots of longing and very little payout. It had a betrayal that was barely noticed. It introduced a new friend for the princess and then didn’t mention her ever again. It was confusing and not well plotted.
But it was sweet and interesting anyway. I’ll read the next one for sure
A sh*t ton of stars. Yes, I’m aware that is a hecka lot, and this book deserves them all. I’m not sure how this is possible, but this series/world just gets better and better. This is our favorite sweet and sexy princess Fleurs book. She landed herself the Alpha of Alphas in the Night Soldier aka The General which is the Vampire General Nottuza to clarify, I know right…the excitement is very real…as is the addiction. These two were drawn together like magnets albeit super powerful magnets, but they just couldn’t stay away. So much chemistry…like seriously hot af. These two are the very definition of power couple, I truly believe there is nothing they couldn’t do or get with their combined powers. Anyway, Nottuza awakes from a very, very long nap….and he is ready to report for duty…and then shit gets very real.
We get quite a few very interesting myths and stories from the past, and I loved it. And surprises…I love surprises too. This is one of my favorite worlds that Milana Jacks has created. I mean I just want to go there, take in the shenanigans, the “scents”, and the “festivities”. The fantastic storylines, intoxicating power and equally intoxicating chemistry of this book…makes for a heady and irresistible combination…at least it’s irresistible to me. We get to see some of our favorites from this series, including my Unseelie King, Duane and the Lycans with their puppy tendencies, and El’jah who is still funny af with all his charm and snark…such a major handful that one. I am more than happy to “handle” him, so consider this my application for the said position. We gained some new favorites in the twins that are his right hand guys…they are also hilarious, but not quite the handfuls that my El’jah is. The names of their towers in the Winter Fae Court, The Ice Princess and Winter Beauty…you can imagine how those sound when talking about being in them?….I so love Milana Jacks humor, and this was one of her funniest. A great epilogue and a hea. This is definitely going to be your next book crack read…the whole series is so addicting. More please, now works for me. I cannot wait until the next book…yes, I’m being presumptuous *winks*.
it’s Been so long Since I first started the series, it’s been at least three years I believe I don’t even remember the first six series, something about a horde in a different place and then eventually they travel to this new Fayland and there was a wedding, and that was the last I remember and then I picked up the series a couple more years ago and read two more books and ended just before a vampire was awakened the night bound soldier and EVANE gave his life for it. end it was so long since that book, I forgot all about the series and then I found this book and surprise surprise, the book is finally done but I really don’t remember all the books that came before it so it was a little hard to read this I have a little whiffs of memory of the previous books, from the previous series that is attached to the series, something about a horde beast, but something else, the beast horde something about that. This was a Good luck on its own as a standalone, since I barely remember the previous books in the series so it was a good stand alone from what little I remember. I enjoyed this book I wish I remembered more of the previous books. It would make more sense, but as a standalone it was a good but not great but good book.
I struggle a lot with Milana Jack's writing style, just doesn't flow like butter and often feels like an info-dumping ground. There isn't any book I've completed apart from this. I don't get any feels from her characters, even though the blurb usually reels me in. Here, thankfully I enjoyed it. Would have liked more time between the MCs to build their relationship apart from the amazing chemistry. It was a slow burn i would have liked to step up the pace.
Great for a quickie read. It wasn't complex and i think the male lead literally stole the show - the perfect, serious alpha type who isn't easily fooled or played or led by his cock. The book title itself was mysteriously sexy.
On the other hand, the female lead was mostly a walking sexbomb siren/faerie. She was hot but other than that, she didnt do much in the story - plotwise - except playing the love interest.
This is just an excellent series. Fantastic world building. While it may err more on the sci-fi/fantasy side as opposed to romance....I wish MJ would have built more of a relationship between the main characters and shared that with the reader. Example Spoiler: she thought she was infertile...BUT her whole pregnancy was not shared at all with the reader. I would've liked to have read about that. Not to mention the very end "fae-ted mates"!!! Wait a second, what? when did that happen? Once again, not written about. The end was just too rushed while the middle was dragged on a bit. HOWEVER, STILL a fantastic read! I will absolutely look forward to the next in series. Spicy: 🌶️🌶️ 1/2 (not as much as I'd like tbh) Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ absolute YES.

My least favorite of the series. I didn’t really connect with either main character and didn’t feel any real chemistry. Four stars is generous because I like the series.
There were holes.
The last part of the book was confusing. Why did Fleur fall asleep? I thought maybe it was because she pricked her finger, but that didn’t seem to be the case. I thought it could be the undead magic, but then she woke up and was unaffected by it.
What happened to Winter? Did she get vamped? Fleur never even asks about her after the party of death.
How are they going to prevent Fleur from getting sick as a siren again? She got sick as a child because she didn’t live in the ocean, but she still doesn’t live in the ocean.
Power ~ This is a voluntary Advanced Reader Copy review of ‘The Nightbound Soldier’. I loved reading this story. What I enjoy about this authors work, is the small references to the prior stories in this series, that easily reminds the reader of important details. That being said, this series is best read in order to understand the overall storyline. But it’s an awesome story on it own. I’m not giving away the good bits, because reading them as they develop and evolve is the best part. I loved this story.
More of a 3.75 star read. I enjoyed this book so much more than I thought I would. I wasn't overly impressed with Fleur in the previous books but I also knew I needed to read this one in case there was anything about the commander in it. You can see where my priorities are 😅😂
Getting a deeper look at the real Fleur and not the persona she portrays was nicely done and the chemistry with Nottuza was top notch. I wished the book was longer though because I just wanted more of everything. It seemed like a lot of the plotlines were glossed over and very quickly tied up in a neat bow.
I love this series of interconnected standalones! Dominant males, feisty and passionate females. All these power players in each book. Love it!!! Definitely some more characters who need books and I am all here for it!! World building is great!! Character development is stellar, and she always brings the heat….this one had more angst than I was anticipating, but it made it all the more delicious!!
I have read several books by this author. Some, really good but others not some much. I’ve learned that I either like or don’t like them..
BUT I am enjoying this new Fae-ted King series. Aamako (Book 2) is still my absolute favourite! ❤️ Looking forward to the next one. I also can’t wait for Julie’s book.
I will strongly suggest that you read the other two books in the series to better understand this one.
This latest release by Milana jacks is every bit as good as any book I come across with her name on the front cover. Addictive, the story contains all the yummy stuff - undead hero, sexy as hell and bad-ass female, and all the excitement I have come to expect from this author. Of course, there are the usual doubts and questions firing from one character to the other and things aren't always as they appear. Couldn't put this one down.
I like series books. It has been a while since I read the first and second book. Milana had not written the third and fourth when I was reading these. I enjoyed the Nightbound Soldier. And I’m looking forward to the Commanders story. It would be a bonus if there is another book in this series that will be released. I like the way she writes her books.
Ugh. The typos! This was such a good book, but the typos were killing me. There were times when I couldn't figure out how the characters got from one place to another or even where they were. It was incredibly frustrating for such a good plot and such interesting characters.
I love Milana’s books and I was so excited that she decided to write this book when she did! The characters are so hot with just a hint if spooky which makes it the perfect PNR book for the season. I can’t wait for the next book in this story line!
I’ve been reading the series and I just love it. This book was terrific. As always, it’s very well written. Relatable characters, witty dialogue, and a solid plot. Quite a bit of heat and heart.
A vampiric fairytale is how I would describe this one. I love the whole series and have favorite things about each book. The nightbound soldier is my favorite part of this one. You won't be disappointed!
Give me MORE of this world!! I’m obsessed with Fluer and Nottuza. This book like the ones before grabs your attention within the first few pages. I always take a deep breath when I start one of Milana Jacks’ books because I know it’s going to be an amazing read. ♥️🖤
Compared to other books in this series this was quick but good. I wish there was more after they get together, it feels rushed. No mention of the battle, lots of. Loose ends. KU Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Dual pov Touch her and die vibes Grumpy ☀️ sunshine
This was a unforseen book. I expected a book about the princess. I really thought the next book would be Julie or Cecila so I was surprised when a elder vampire was awakened to make a grand appearance. To say he was stoic and rigid would be a understatement.
This us the third book in this series and might be my favorite. I was hooked start to finish . I enjoyed the twists in the story and I really liked Fluer and Nottuza. I can't wait to read what Milana Jacks writes next.
Another satisfying addition to the Fae-Ted Kings series. I recommend them , full of humour and heart. You are going to want to meet the MFC in real life😊
With no expectations, I was quickly drawn into this book and couldn’t put it down. Great world building of fae and Vampires who are undead not dead. Fun to read!
This book was amazingly written & detailed along with all before in this series. Just soooo perfect & Fluer gets her guy & a beautiful HEA!!! Gaahhh soooo good!!
