Abandoned by her fiancÉ after being arrested on her wedding day for money laundering, Savannah Taylor sets out to find the individual who stole her identity, ruined her reputation, and cost her a husband, embarking on a wild and passionate journey that leads to a surprising new love. Original.
Story wasn't too bad, as it flowed nicely and showed a different career for the leading character that you normally do not see. However, I really did not like the little quiz/test questions before each chapter. I understand they were to mimic the questions Savannah took/read but I found that they devalued the story-line and took away from the strong female character she began as degraded herself to make it like those in the magazines she bought.
This was a light & fluffy read with too many plot holes for my liking! Number one being - how does someone get a weapon past TSA post 9/11?? The author writes it like: ‘who knows how he got it through security’. That is lazy writing ma’am, you need to know how if you’re the one who wrote it 🤣 The ending felt really rushed - she essentially crashes a plane and is like, yep, set a magazine on fire and overpowered every gun-wielding criminal on board. I don’t think so!! That being said, it was quick, somewhat fun, and flowed well enough.

Better find a man who says "you're worth fighting for" than one who says "hold on". Thanks, Savannah to tell me how better to be yourself than be other version of me that maybe other's like. Good Job, Brand on this works. You did a good job in Savannah and Mike. Though I really hope to read a spice of their relationship. The romance is too little for a romance book. Haha. But still, impressing.
I don't know how many times I can fall into this trap: Cutesy little cover (at least this one isn't pink)...check. Title and Author's name is curlicue font...check. Fab teaser on back meant to sucker you into buying book...check. Spunky review that makes the book sound totally different than any other book out there...check.
By page ten, common sense is tapping me on the shoulder to remind me that I'm ignoring her (because I haven't yet thrown the book into the middle of the lion's den at the local zoo). By page thirty two, the voices in my head are screaming. *Lion's den, lion's den, lion's den...* By page sixty, my brain is trying to spontaneously combust just so I will finally stop reading.
But I can't. I keep thinking that the book will get better. Ha! Me and my hopelessly optimistic attitude. This book pretty much encourages theft, larceny, deceit, spite and general all-around bitchiness. Yes, of course, it has a happy ending; but throughout the book I found myself wondering why I would want to read a "fluff" book that made me feel like crap? Or like kicking the crap out of the protagonist? Or both? The premise is that Savannah is left at the altar; devastated, she decides to change, blah, blah, blah, happy ever after. However, she really pissed me off throughout most of the book. Isn't chick lit supposed to give you that warm fuzzy feeling inside while your reading it and you end by squinting through the tears? If you want that, don't expect to get it here.
My rating 3 stars Blurb Who is Savannah Taylor really?
On the most special day of Savannah's life, her wedding day, the cops bust in and wrongfully arrest her at the altar for money laundering and tax evasion. Instead of a ring, Savannah leaves the church in handcuffs. She's soon released because she proves to the Feds that someone stole her identity-but her fiancé isn't as easily convinced, and hits the road.
Savannah's botched wedding was an awakening. She needed everything to fall apart to start anew-with a totally new attitude. Savannah takes off to find her identity thief--and maybe the answer to all her problems--in a wild journey of love, risk, and surprises. My opinion I did enjoy the premise and appreciated the crazy plot line that prevailed throughout the book. Savannah is terrific as she tries to reinvent herself by quitting her job and seeking the thief while her family worries about her. The identify theft subplot augments a solid tale by showing how easy it is to steal and how much trouble swamps the victim Savannah is written with a lot of warmth and compassion. It's easy to relate to her reacting to the arrest and desertion by trying to reinvent herself, and I share her penchant for taking quizzes.I couldn't put the book down. It was an excellent read and well written. Many ups and downs
hmm hmm, kayak chicklit biasanya... ttg savannah malang yg digebrak sama agen2 fbi pas acara pernikahannya. terjebak dalam kasus pencucian uang dan pajak, savannah merasa si pencuri identitas ini sudah menghancurkan hidupnya. pindah ke naples, demi mengejar sang pencuri identitas dan berusaha menjadi seseorang yg glamour, seksi dan pokoknya seseorang yg beda dari dirinya yg akuntan biasa. d naples inii, dia ketemu mike. yg awalnya dia kira seorang pramugara dan...gay. tau-taunya si mike ini jg tertarik ama dia.. mulai deh kehidupan savannah yg dirundung byk masalah. padahal dia mengira dgn berubah jd dia yg beda, dia bakal bahagia..
okeeee.. yg kusuka dr novel ini cuma mike. hahaha, maap loh yaaa, namanya juga cewek. ibunya mike jg baik, tipikal orgtua yg suka jodoh2in anaknya. jd dia ngerasa si mike ama savannah ini bakal cocok. keluarga savannah sendiri juga tipe keluarga yg care satu sama lain.. daaan buat si mantan tunangan, Todd, eheeem, lo kira savannah gak layak diperjuangkan hah?
Tipikal chiklit biasa aja, ga terlalu menarik.
Gitu-gitu aja, standar bangetlah. Lumayan kalo dibaca pas lagi nunggu pintu kantor dibuka (... seperti saya)
Savannah Taylor was all set to get married but then the FBI shows up and arrests her while she is standing on the altar. Something isn't right here....turns out Savannah is the victim of identity theft.
Perhaps this was a good thing so that she could reassess her life and decide if that is what she wanted. Turns out it wasn't, so she embarks on a major life style (thanks to the glam magazines).
Well,, i likeeee this book because: First, the story is different with other. And make people wondering whose the Vannah? Second, Beverly describe much thing about the tax and cases and it just give the plus from this book. U are not only give romance touch, but also the other thing that can give us knowledge. brilliant! Third, its funny and tell us how u feel bad about your sister, she love you. ;) Fourth, i love the quiz thing! i think its genious! ^^
Okay so what do you do when someone steal you identity? This story is about a woman who takes the bull by the horns and tries to do something about it all by herself. Where she goes and where she finds to live makes the tale an interesting little romance. How she finds the person who has taken her identity has an interesting twist.
Enjoyable romance, although I enjoyed the second half of the book more than the first. I really didn't like all of the magazine quizzes, they got on my nerves since none of the answers were good and I felt like the answer they wanted you to pick was wrong.
I read this on my honeymoon to wind down when the hubby and I were vegging...he kept asking me to tell him what was happening because I kept laughing hysterically :)
Neither bad nor good, this book was okay for me. Sometimes I could exactly predict what's going on next, and the story was ordinary, well, I don't know. I didn't hate it either.
This novel really inspire me. Who wants to life just merely go to work and back home?? I want change, like really change. Savannah Taylor wants to be "Vanna" who really knows how to enjoy life.
After Savannah is arrested on her wedding day, she decides to redo her life in the model of the person who stole her identity.
What I enjoyed: * I liked Savannah and Christina's friendship as Christina is going through the same thing (but more timely as she is in college on Spring Break).
What could have been better: * Savannah is very naïve. She thought wearing a fish costume was part of an interview??? She is taking her life advice from magazine quizzes and a criminal. * Insta-love is annoying and I have no idea if they will stick together. Not sure Savannah would even stay in Florida. * I have a hard time believing Miss Goody Two Shoes her entire life is now capable of lying and changing a boarding pass well enough to get through airport security?
