The constellations of the zodiac have long held a special fascination for humankind, considered by many civilizations as the essential means to chart the destinies of both empires and individuals. Even today most newspapers carry daily horoscope listings, offering advice to true believers. Now top oracles as Mickey Zucker Reichert, Jody Lynn Nye, Mike Resnick, Kate Elliott, Michelle West, Rosemary Edghill, Diana L. Paxson and Elizabeth Ann Scarborough offer divine readings of the stars in these enlightening tales.

Martin Greenberg is a SF anthology editor. He's done a gazillion paperbacks, but they usually run in themes. One theme is "The Further Adventures of ____" (Batman, Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood, etc.) His other favorite theme is "_____ Fantastic" (Horse Fantastic, Elf Fantastic, Cat Fantastic, etc.) Obviously, this book falls into the second category, short SF&F stories about the zodiac. Most short story collections are average for me. Mostly 3's, a few 2's and 4's, maybe a 1 or a 5. This was pretty much the same.
Sometimes these narrow theme focus anthologies can inspire brilliance. This was not one of those times. Many of the stories seemed to have been unsellable stories that the authors gave a quick rewrite to fit into the broad theme.
