Therdeo my man 🤭 where can I find someone like him? The ML is so well written and I love him 🙂↕️
Can we take a moment to appreciate the cover of this volume? The art of the Manwha is just as pretty- or even prettier! I'm in love with the artstyle. The plot is amazing too. The author succeeded in putting an original twist to the normal manwha plot lines.
I'd recommend reading this if you're interested in: • well written plot •GORGEOUS ART •enemies to ??? •SLOW BURN!! •intelligent & bubbly FL •Cold ML •Found family •some angst
actually phenomenal story , actually fleshed out characters and nobody is really glanced over.
Pereshati is not treated as some worthless FL who cannot do anything for the life of her, and it is very refreshing and entertaining with her love and relationship unfolding with theo.
i was read a few and it looks amazing! i loved they explained her trauma and come backs very well!! i want to continue the series and came back here to give five stars🥹🥹 (she is happy cause she found a new manhwa to read💃🏻💃🏻)
Celphius is such a cinnamon roll and I adore him. Also, I feel so bad for my girl Pereshati, that trauma really has nowhere to go. I want her to find happiness!
Season 1 ended here.. Can't wait to see the growing romance of Duke and Perry.. And hope all the remain mystery unfold in a more interesting way. Loved it.
S1 SO GOOD. the characters are so well-written for this genre and the story really takes its time developing their arcs. one of the few webtoons i’m actively keeping up with.
The thing I love most about this comic is the mute storytelling style. No words would be spoken and we would be told the characters' backstories through incredible drawings. It was a great experience 🫶🏽

End of season 1 and all I can say is wow. I didn't expect to like this as much as I did, let alone love it. It has a common trope in comics, the "dying and going back in time before my death" but this time it was done exceptionally well. The characters were so realistically written, the relationships were so intricate and the protagonist, our queen Pereshati second guesses every little thing which is rare in such stories. She is torn between her love for her stepmother and her hatred for her because her stepmother is the one who murdered her.
The star relationship of this comic, for me at least, was the one Pereshati had with little Celphius, the Grand Duke's nephew and adopted son. Little children can either make or break a story and this time, it wasn't the latter. Celphi is a fierce cinnamon roll who will protect his stepmother with everything he's got and it was absolutely beautiful to witness their love for each other blossom. A moment of silence for our other cinnamon bun, little Islette who has been through so much. It's safe to say that I would lay down my life for these two children.
"My in-laws are obsessed with me" is the title, and I ask, how could they not? I'm obsessed with you too, Pereshati. She brought life to a grim and cold family who is plagued by death and sickness. Little by little, every member of the Lapileons starts to love Pereshati, but none more than Therdeo. His falling for her was so natural and realistic especially considering that this man was drugged and sexually assaulted by a woman. Pereshati helps him heal without even knowing it.
Special mention to Saoirse, Therdeo's sister who has faced hell and hasn't lost herself. When it comes to people hurting children, she is ruthless and we love her for it.
Don't get me started on the psychotic b*tch that's the princess (Therdeo's almost rapist) who literally runs a cult and every member of it is obsessed with Therdeo's family. Disturbing scenes, no other way to put it.
When the comic is over, I am going to NEED a physical copy of it. Where do I sign to make this happen?

I was always a fan of webtoons, especially ones with historical setting + reincarnation + romance, and this one ticked all the boxes.
The art style is pretty simple, but the way the artist conveys the emotion in even the tiniest detail such as almost unseen glances or hands clenching is simply wonderful. I enjoyed seeing it.
The romance is there but it’s slowburn which works so well when you pair it with marriage of convenience. I am glad it’s that way, Therdeo and Pereshati instantly falling in love would be way too boring.
The relationship between the family was also VERY interesting. Seeing Pereshati changing the lives of a very much doomed family, seeing herself in the lonely children of it was just way too emotional. Her relationship with her stepson (if you can even call Celphi that… #complicatedfamilytree) is simply too precious. But also, her relationship with her betraying family was more than sad. It’s rare to see stories potray conflicting family emotions (towards mother figures specifically) as well as this.
The end of the season made me extremely curious and hyped up for what is next. The doom and curse of Lapileons is something I am even more ready to be explored after latest chapters.
What a breath of fresh air. While there may be your typical tropes such as "female character goes back in time to save herself" and "marriage contract for 1 year" the craft and making of this story is gut-wrenching and beautiful. The bonds Pereshati makes with the Lapileons is so wholesome and even though right now it all seems so temporary, the trust and relationships and slowburn is just fantastic.
Pereshati is such a green flag and deserves the world <3
Praying that Ize Press or some other publisher physically publishes this in english because I would love to have this in my physical collection!
I've literally had this in my tbr ever since it came out, but I don't like to read webtoons when they have so little chapters, so I decided to wait a while. It did not disappoint me.
At first, I wasn't really invested with the story, and I was kind of bored, but once everything came together and the romance and plot started picking up, all the wait was so worth it.
While this was initially like every other turn back in time, manwha, it wasn't like the others at all actually. There was a reason why Perry came back in time, and it wasn't a dumb reason like being the chosen one or anything. Perry is a normal person. She doesn't really have anything special about her that divides her from other people in terms of her character in the aristocracy. I really enjoyed this aspect because she's relatable, and it's nice to see a normal person instead of like a revenge fueled FMC, or that's she secretly a princess or something.
This made her actual personality really shine through. She's like the foil to the Duke, who is reserved cold and sometimes unkind. She brings balance to a family that would otherwise deal with everything by violence. She may sometimes come across as aloof, but everything she does has a reason behind it, and every single one of her actions comes from a point of selflessness and kindness, which I really enjoyed seeing because not many main characters are like that.
The plot outside of the romance is interesting as well, and I'm really curious to see how everything will wrap up with Dodolea. The stunt the Duke pulled in the recent chapters was so satisfying, especially when they walked out of her room, leaving footsteps behind. After everything Theo went through, she deserves so much worse, and honestly, I felt so bad for Theo when we discovered the truth. It's nice to see a webtoon bring these issues to light and take them seriously, which I really enjoyed.
I'm looking forward to seeing how everything will end.
This was pretty interesting! There were lots of things I liked, and some things I didn't, but I definitely had a good time.
This manhwa follows Pereshati, a count's daughter who is murdered by her fiance and stepfamily, only to resurrect two months previously and enter into a marriage of convenience with an infamous duke with a dark family secret in order to save herself.
The title of this series is pretty silly, but the story itself can actually be a bit dark in places, and throughout is serious and heartfelt. I really loved reading about Pereshati and her struggles, and enjoyed her character as a whole. She's strong without feeling artificial, and her emotional journey is realistic and compelling.
I also enjoyed lots of the plotlines by themselves and found them intriguing, and liked how the family curse is woven into the story as well. The character relationships are also pretty good (especially between Pereshati and her stepson), and the composition of the panels themselves are excellent.
On the other hand, there are some mini-arcs that are pretty stupid (the bullying incident, the trial), and I found the way the story constantly jumps between scenes from the past and the present that are merely minutes apart irritating. I also found it difficult to connect to any character other than Pereshati.
And as a minor complaint, the fashion in this series is very wonky. The clothing switches between Victorian and Edwardian and Colonial with no regard for consistency, and while this may not bug others, it really annoyed and distracted me.
Anyway, I did like this first volume, and I am definitely intrigued enough to keep reading!
Season 1 wrapped up, and I'm a mess of tears and happiness! This manga is a masterpiece—raw, real emotions like nothing I've ever read before. It’s hands down the BEST manga I've come across.
Prompts/Tropes:
Reincarnation Marriage-of-convenience Strong-but-soft FMC Can-kill-you-personality (literally) but is soft on the inside only to her MMC Found family Sorcery-and-curses You-don't-marry-just-the-man-you-marry-the-family Adorable characters with deep trauma SLOW-BURN (Like, glacial slow—no kisses in this season but Season 2👀) THE UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THEM OH MY GOD!!!!
Synopsis: Pereshati Jahardt, a count's daughter, remarries after her mother's death. When her father passes, he leaves her his entire fortune. But her greedy stepmother and stepsister, along with Pereshati's lover, plot her murder. Miraculously, Pereshati comes back to life and travels back in time before her murder. To buy time for her revenge, she seeks out the infamous grand duke, Therdeo Lapileon, to propose marriage. During her visit, she uncovers a terrifying secret about his family. How will Pereshati handle it all? Will she achieve her revenge?
Why You HAVE to Read It:
Theodore will have you SCREAMING and BLUSHING. Pereshati is a QUEEN. The emotional rollercoaster is worth every second. The characters and their traumas are portrayed SO WELL. The slow-burn romance is painfully perfect.
This manga is a gem—trust me, you'll be hooked! Season 2 can't come fast enough!
