The Morgan Sister series is fastly become one of my favorite YA series! The way Suzy Turner writes is imaginative and expressive. She leaves enough to your imagination, while giving you enough details to tease your senses.

The Temporal Stone picks up nicely, right where book 1 – The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw lets off. The flow of the books is amazing, she never misses a beat. Travel with Emma, Lana and the rest of the Praxos Academy Watchers as they tackle their next adventure in the supernatural world!

On a trip to meet other Watchers time suddenly stops. Only the humans are unaffected and are frozen in their last action. The Watchers need to work together with other supernatural groups to figure out what is going on. They meet some interesting characters, who are wonderfully described. Someone or something has unleashed a deadly animal to destroy the Watchers. With the help of the pixie trolls and their friends, the Watchers track down all the clues. Will they be able to stop it in time? Can the new recruits help? Using their special abilities and the help of the other Supernatural’s will good prevail over evil? Will everyone survive this challenge?

Suzy Turner writes another flawless YA adventure/paranormal book. As an adult I still enjoyed these books. It was a roller coast ride of emotions. I felt their worry, anger, frustration, happiness, love and devotion to each other. But mostly I felt hope that they would triumph in the end. The way Ms Turner writes invokes your feelings and draws you into the book. You feel like you are running with the Watchers as they race across the London landscape to save humanity. I swear my legs hurt last night from all the running I did! I’m still waiting for my tattoo to emerge, hopefully some day soon!

I can not wait to start reading book 3 – Daisy Madigan's Paradise in this series!

First of all I want to say that I got this book from a giveaway from Suzy Turner through goodreads first-reads.

This book tells the story of a group of teenagers who attend a school for people with supernatural powers. There they learn to use and control their powers so later in life they can fight evil. Which may not be so far off.

When someone tells you "Don't judge a book by its cover" listen to them. To me the cover is the worst thing about this book. There are two hypotheses for this: I didn't understand it or it has nothing to do with the story itself.
Another thing that irritated me deeply was the formatting of the text. Although the letters are neither too large nor too small, the text is not aligned with the margins as usual.

Turning to the characters, I can not say that I have identified with any in particular. Besides the Morgan sisters (Emma and Lana) almost no other character is sufficiently detailed. I understand that with so many characters one couldn't develop them all however I think it would be interesting to give a little more weight to the villains.
I really liked Jimble (a very friendly pixie troll) but the fact that he repeats most words when talking with people becomes very annoying.

On the positive side I have to point the pace at which the story unfolds and some surprising twists. The description of the supernatural creatures is also very well made and throughout the book we also find a nice romantic subplot.

Firstly I’d like to thank the author for sending me this eBook to read and give an honest review. I was excited to catch up with Emma and Lana in their new lives as Watchers so I couldn’t wait to get started.

It was action-packed right from the start, an academy trip to Somerset turned supernatural very quickly and I was captivated by the events that followed. The whole storyline was so imaginative and I really enjoyed picturing everything like a movie in my mind. Something else that was particularly enjoyable for me were all the familiar places that the characters visited – Salisbury, Winchester and the New Forest to name just a few.

I loved all the supernatural creatures that featured in this book, my favourite was Jimble the pixie troll because he was just so adorable! The author successfully brought the characters to life for me and made me care about what happened to them. Following them all as they uncovered clues to help solve the mystery was lots of fun and I look forward to the next instalment.

This was another exciting adventure in The Morgan Sisters series.

I have to tell you how much I have enjoyed both of your series. I was never really into reading that much. My husband bought me a Kindle and your Raven series was one of the first series that I bought. I finally got some free time and started reading Raven and was just amazed and found myself finding more time to read and finished that book within 1 week and then moving onto December Moon and was just as impressed and finished it in 5 days and finally the last book in your series Lost Souls and was taken back and finished in 3 days. With that series I fell in love with your writing swiftly jumped into the Morgan Sister's and just finished the whole 3 book series in 1 week. I have to tell you Thank you for getting me back into reading. I do hope that in both series you will come out with another book.

The Temporal Stone followed on beautifully from The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw with a mammoth mystery and world event that threw the Proxas Team into turmoil. So many characters played bigger parts in this book and it was fun to get to know them better.

The pace of the story is good. Emma and Lana are great characters, but my favourite is still Declan. He's awesome :)

The writer in me wanted to tweak the text, but that is just personal preference. The Temporal Stone is a solid story and well worth reading.

If you like reading books with great, young characters, mystery, action and a little romance then you should check this book out.

If anything, I enjoyed this book more than the first book. Right out of the starting gate this was engaging and full of twists and turns. The Morgan sisters are joined by several new 'watchers' and fascinating ones at that. I can't imagine how Ms. Turner will continue this, but I do look forward to it.
