In The Vision Board, influential career strategist Joyce Schwartz describes a transformative exercise that offers a simple way to change your life for the better. As featured on the Oprah Winfrey show, vision boards are a practical, effective approach to identifying and achieving your goals. With a foreword from Bob Proctor, featured teacher in The Secret, and an afterword by Jack Canfield, co-creator of the hugely popular Chicken Soup for the Soul series, The Vision Board offers concrete advice and motivation anecdotes designed to help you utilize vision boards in your own daily life.
It's not a bad book, but probably better for someone who has NO IDEA what a vision board is and needs a lot of instruction. I was hoping that with all of the experience she has that she'd show some interesting examples of vision boards that actually produced what they were meant to.
I liked this book. It was a nice instructional resource if you want to get started on a vision board/journal of your own. I have had both a vision board and a vision journal for years and I utilize them everyday. I guess I was hoping that this book would take it further for me. This was nice for beginners.
Making a vision board is a way some people have of clarifying their goals and values, giving them incentive and visual inspiration on a daily basis.
This book did not necessarily convert me to belief in the value of making my own vision board - I'm considering it. The vision boards shown in the book were, to my eyes, garish and unartistic, meaningful in a symbolic way only to their creators. Which is, of course, the point.
But this book has extremely useful material about clarifying one's thoughts and goals, lists, affirmations, and exercises which are well explained and clearly presented.
This was a really interesting book to read. The inside is full of great colorful pictures that really gave you ton of examples of what they're talking about in each chapter. It's a useful tool to have when looking at your life from different angles. I enjoyed this new look at getting everything you can out of your life.
Very insightful book. It's the kind of book that fuels changes in your life, without you even taking that initial action. It does so by effecting change in the landscape of your mind.
