Arkas (Greek: Αρκάς) is the pen name of a Greek comic artist.
His strip series, the first of which is "O Kokkoras" (The Rooster, 1981) appeared in the Greek comic magazine Babel and were later published as comic albums.
The series O Isovitis (The Lifer, 1988) is his most popular work.

This book is a continuation of the Bad Company book. Same review. The author is actually Greek and the book is translated from Greek. I would love to have additional recommendations for this type of book. Humor from other countries fascinates me.

Το έχω πει στο παρελθόν και θα το ξαναπώ: ο Αρκάς υπήρξε σπουδαίος. Έγραφε αλμπουμάκια τα οποία κατάφερναν να είναι ανυποψίαστα αστεια για ένα παιδί (όταν τα πρωτοδιάβασα) και αιχμηρά επικριτικά για την κοινωνία και την πολιτική, με τρόπο που παραμένει επίκαιρος 30 χρόνια αργότερα, όταν τα διάβαζε ένας ενήλικας.

Παρόλο που πίστευα ότι τον Ισοβίτη τον είχα διαβάσει όλο τόσες φορές που έλιωσαν τα οικογενειακά αλμπουμάκια, φαίνεται πως τελικά το πιο αιχμηρό της σειράς μου είχε διαφύγει, και μάλιστα δεν το είχαμε ποτέ. Άνετα μπορεί να πει κανείς ότι έχει τον πιο επιθετικό Μοντεχρήστο, το πιο μαύρο χιούμορ εις βάρος του Μελλοθάνατου, και μερικές ενδιαφέρουσες ασυνέπειες στον Υπέργηρο, υποθέτω καθώς εξελισσόταν η ιδέα του χαρακτήρα.
