Definitely worth the purchase, To own for a keepsake till you're able to actually play Sims 4. Motherlode of information which you can take notes and plan out how you'd want to create your virtual realm etc. So be the judge yourself don't let the ratings do the talking for you.

As game guides go, it is very well organized and very pretty. Picked it up for a reasonable price, so all around good deal. I still find I like Sims 3 better than 4, but this guide helped me learn about some of the game play elements I'd been missing.

So why buy a game guide when there's a plethora of game tips available online? and for free?
Convenience!
Everything you want is right there in your lap.(Except for useful cheats and any insider information that is actually useful) It's a good place to store a list of extra cheats too (I write them on the inside covers or use post it notes.)

I've never bought one before this, but I have to say it is much more time efficient than spending hours shifting through websites like I've done in the past. However, it doesn't even provide any information besides the basic tutorial on how to play the game. It's stupid. Also the format in which it presents information is better than any website I've seen, BUT there are soooo many grammar and spelling mistakes it makes you wonder how EA games can release merchandise with so many careless mistakes.

When I'm in the game and I have a question or need a quick reference I hate having to log off the game or use another device to find my answer. I could just easily look through this book. But I don't because it doesn't provide any useful information beyond basic tutorials that are way easy to grasp if you just spend ten minutes playing.


Is the guide worth it for you?
I guess that'll depend on how seriously you take your gaming experience. :)
I take my game playing way seriously, but I returned the book because it was useless, badly made, and definitely not worth the price listed.
