Each new Shark Wars book brings higher stakes--and hungrier sharks!
Gray thought he could trust Takiza, the wise yet mysterious betta fish who's been his guide and mentor in the often treacherous depths of the Big Blue. But the news that Takiza was responsible for the death of Gray's father has shaken Gray to his very core. Now Gray is questioning everything he thought he knew.
The time to find answers is running short. The prehistores--prehistoric sea monsters long thought to be extinct--are breaking out of the underwater volcano range that has kept them hidden for millennia. Gray, Barkley, and their friends and shivermates must prepare for a war unlike any they've faced before!
Shark Wars is Star Wars set underwater--it's a modern-day Warriors for today's voracious readers!

I think this book was VERY good. I think it was good because it had a lot of action in it. I am also very happy that Gray (or Graynoldus) is now the Seazarein. The only thing that I don't like about the book series is that it is a little repetitive. At the end of EVERY SINGLE BOOK there is a battle (it still is exciting).
So far in the book Gray needed to know more about Drinnok's evil plan. Barge, a giant sea turtle, told Gray that Drinnok was going to destroy the Big Blue. Gray had to stop Drinnok from destroying the Big Blue. Gray needed the help of his friends. He especially needed help from his best friend, a dogfish named Barkley.
Hokuu wanted to remake the Big Blue. Then the Jurassic sharks will rise again. But first he needed to kill Gray. Gray and his friends will never surrender, and they will stop Drinnok. They will not let Hokku make the Big blue in his image.
Chapters:19/20 9/30/13 Gray told Drinnok that he needed to see Hokuu. Just then Grimkhan arrived and Drinnok asked Hokuu why he was here. But then, Grimkhan killed Drinnok. Gray had a plan to stop Hokuu. He told his friends Barkley, Striiker, Takiza, Velenka, Shear, Snork, Leilani, and Oynx that they could slip away and re banish Grimkahn, and Hokuu.
Chapters:21/22 10/2/13 Gray got a talk from a flying fish named Eugene. Eugene had a message for Gray: Through brightest ocean and down darkest lava tube, in calm water or heavy seas, no whorl current, nor flashnbommer, nor iceberg'd waters, no dead zones, nor exploding fire waters, no seaquake, feeding frenzy, or even landshark nets shall prevent a quickfin from delivering their message on time and anywhere in the Big Blue. Meanwhile Takiza was training Snork to become a bladefish like his father.
Chapter:25 10/6/13 Snork was training for the battle against Grimkhan. Just then, Salamanca arrived to see how Snork was doing. Snork was getting good at cutting down thick seaweed. Snork used his bill to cut the seaweed down. Takiza also came to see Snork. Takiza told Snork, "Soon Snork you will become a great bladefish someday".
Chapters:26/27 10/7/13 The battle against Grimkhan and Hokuu has begun. Gray knocked out Grimkhan and the jurassics with huge boulders. A Frilled shark was about to kill Leilani when Snork arrived and slashed down the frilled shark with his bill. Velenka was going to be eaten by a Frilled shark, when Barkley slapped his tail on the Frilled shark's face. Gray told the mariners that they will not surrender.
Chapters:28/29 10/8/13 The battle ranged on. Gray was still battling Grimkhan. Takiza was almost about to be killed by Grimkhan when Salamanca slamed his bill on Grimkhan. Just then Xander arrived with his Gold Rush. Gray used a blue fin tuna and slammed it at Grimkhan. Then Grimkhan got sucked into the current, Gray and his mariners won.
Book Review of Shark Wars: Enemy of Oceans by EJ Altbacker October 20, 2013
I wanted to read this book because I read the other books in this series. My favorite character is Gray because he is a megalodon. He defeated Grimkhan and Hokuu so that means there is peace in the ocean. My favorite quote from the book is after Grimkhan says, You haven't won! This isn't over!" Gray answered, "It is for today!"
I thought this book was better then the others in the Shark Wars series because it's got more action. I think that other kids my age would like this book because it's got a lot of Shark battles in it. They will also like it because the good sharks are fighting the bad sharks for control of the ocean.
Frankly, I'm shocked that these books are as good as they are. The idea of shark clans forming armies and battling for control of the ocean is a ludicrous story premise, and yet it's very well executed and enjoyable.
This book has no right whatsoever to have such strong characters. It has no right to break our hearts by killing one of these strong characters it doesn't have a right to have. It has no right to have such a suspenseful, wonderfully executed story. It has no right to have such a wonderful villain, or such extensive, immersive world building.
Yet it does have all of these things. And, when you put them all together, it just so happens that the result is a pretty good book.
Furthermore, this is the fifth book in a series! And all four of its predecessors sport the same qualities as this one. They may seem like stupid kids books at the start, but they are surprisingly deep, and it's very impressive that the author was able to create something so good from something so stupid.
After grey and his crew defeat finnivus they have to watch grey become the sezarian whatchyomacalit and help protect the big blue from houuku and the evil sharks. It is a great book and can be rated really well. I enjoyed it
Blue was put in a very tight position in this book with the thought of both Takizas part in Grays fathers death and King Drinnok with his Amy of Jurassic/ Megalodons. But I think because so much was happening this book was by far my favorite in this amazing series.
