By day, Sondrine Renfrew works at Cimmerian’s Curio Emporium, her aunt’s apothecary and antique shop in London, 1875. By night, she weaves fire, water, and air into both inanimate objects and living creatures. When a hooded stranger offers Sondrine a snow globe in trade for medicinal herbs, she accepts, enchanted by the castle, forest, and sea encapsulated under the glass.

Her enchantment fades, however, when her deceitful aunt betroths her to one of London’s wealthiest men—a complete stranger. Determined to escape the marriage, Sondrine trades her corset for trousers and decides to run away. With one foot out the door, she falls down a veritable rabbit hole into Winterhaven, the haunting world inside the snow globe.

Sondrine soon discovers her arrival in Winterhaven is no accident. There, she meets Shan, a man who broods more than the darkened sky above. Turns out Shan is not to be trusted. Not only is he the man who sold Sondrine the snow globe, he is a bounty hunter employed by the king. The beginnings of a sovereign war have been set in motion and an Immortal queen, one who uses fire as a weapon, is set on destroying Winterhaven. Because of her Elemental gifts, only Sondrine has the means to stop the queen. If Sondrine refuses the king’s request, he will behead her. If she rises to the challenge of killing the Immortal queen, her death is just as imminent. After all, an Immortal queen cannot be killed.

Or can she?

MY BLOG: Melissa Martin's Reading List

First off the book caught my attention because it's beautiful and there is snow :-) I thought it sounded good as well... and guess what? it was :-)

 :

So Sondrine is this very likable character, she is an elementalist that works in her aunt's Emporium/Apothocary. She has some snark to her and I like that, she's also not into dresses and flaunting around, that's a big plus.

--->EXCERPT<---

A laugh bursts forth from Madame Pimm's hearty lungs. "You have a vivid imagination, Mademoiselle Sondrine. If girls wore trousers, how would they possibly show off their figures? No man would look twice at them. The lot of you would wind up as spinsters with only a house full of cats to keep you warm at night."

"I don't care about what men want," I say in a defiant tone. "Why do they get to laze about in comfort while I lug around half my bodyweight in fabric on a hot summer day? I'm not some rare insect pinned under glass to be observed by the men of this world. Quite frankly, cats are preferable any day of the week, which is saying a lot, considering their uncanny ability to cough up hairballs at the most inopportune times."

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Sondrine is working one day when a man comes into the store saying that he is injured, this lead to that and that lead to this and she ends up with this beautiful snow globe!

Then she finds our her aunt is going to marry her off to some weird dude so she decides to run away, but before she steps out the door to leave she falls into.....the....snow globe.

 :

--->EXCERPT<---

It can't be, and yet here it is, right before me. The town, the castle, and I would bet my life that around the other side of the hill is an aquamarine sea housing ships with billowing sails. Somehow I am standing inside the world of the snow globe.

••••••••••••••••••

Okay, I need to backtrack, when Sondrine first falls through the snow globe she's just in the woods in the middle of nowhere with beautiful snow. Luckily, she runs into a man named Shan Einfari and they travel together, he says he will take her to the city of Isceald or Winterhaven. Shan takes her to the castle and hands her over to the King who is a horrific brute. Yeah, he's one of the off with their heads dudes, even little kids. It seems that Shan isn't a nice guy after all as he was sent to delivery Sondrine to the King because she is an elemental.

There is the whole story about the King imprisoning a Queen in some ice so she won't destroy this world they all live in and he creates snow and blizzards to keep it cold there. But something happened and she's starting to break free so he needs Sondrine to help him. My arse, she might help the people but not him!

There are a lot of wonderful characters in the book as well as some mystical creatures that are real or made. I enjoyed delving into this world and I look forward to what the next book holds in store, because of that ending, and finding out people are not who you think they are, even when you think they are several different things. :-)

I really enjoyed The Snow Globe! The writing was wonderful, and Nelson’s world was truly magical. I found myself sucked in for many chapters at a time, immersed in the beautiful imagery, exciting plot, and the characters I felt very well connected to. The is a truly beautiful book!

Initial Thoughts Upon Finishing
This really was such a fun book! I loved the idea of a world existing within a Snow Globe (well, sort of, you'll have to read the book to work that one out exactly). The adventures were just awesome! I almost want to say this reminded me of Peter Pan (adventure-wise) mixed in with the chaotic politics of the Falling Kingdoms series. Which is a pretty mind-blowing mix. I NEED BOOK TWO THOUGH, SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN.

The Snow Globe
SO. This book is all about Sondrine’s complicated trip into a snow globe and the sudden responsibility she’s shouldered with. It is such a fun adventure! The book takes place in England and then in Winterhaven which is the city/kingdom/place that exists within the snow globe. It really is as cool as it sounds.
"Just as the sea molds the earth's shape, wind sands the mountains into gentle valleys, and flames of a fire disperse seedlings into the soil, something must die before wakening another."

Sondrine is a young girl who is orphaned and living with her horribly horrid aunt. She works in a curio shop where they sell bits and bobs and also medicines. Her aunt has basically arranged a marriage for Sondrine with a man/boy that she really doesn’t like. Typical England, eh?

Sondrine also has magical abilities. This is something that her aunt keeps under wraps but Sondrine is known around the place for doing magic tricks, as entertainment. Which was particularly cool. I loved the little ice sculpture she makes at the beginning.

When a mysterious man comes into the shop and offers a snow globe in exchange for some medicines, Sondrine agrees to buy it off him. AND THAT’S WHERE THE FUN STARTS. After being sucked into the snow globe, Sondrine finds herself in a complicated and confusing world filled with mysterious people, magic, evil monarchs and Alice in Wonderland-like horrors.

The plot was fantastic, with Sondrine being destined to be the only one who could defeat this evil queen lurking in the shadows with her magic. I so want to explore her magic more and see just how much she can do (and I totally couldn’t help but picture the queen as Helena Bonham Carter).

I really enjoyed everything that happened in this book and I certainly loved the Alice in Wonderland feels I got from it. I loved that there was magic involved and I cannot wait to continue the series.

My reaction when I finished this book

Creepy Magic
One of the best aspects of this book, for me, was its setting. I loved that Nelson has imagined what if there was a world inside a snow globe? Now, I know that *technically* speaking that’s not quite accurate (and you’ll understand when you read the book) but I like to think that the world really was working magically within a snow globe.

Me, trying to explain this book to my family

I really enjoyed the king and the evil queen who were both as horrible as each other - it’s absolute madness and the tyrannical rule of the king was terrifying. I do wish that we’d spent more time exploring what the lives of every day people were like under the rule of this king; everyone seemed sort of okay with what he was doing, whereas I feel that people should have been more scared.

How the king treats everyone

I did love all the politics that was happening inside the castle though, and I particularly thought Snap and Lark were fantastic (those are characters, by the way). The fact that people had magic in Winterhaven as a common place talent was AWESOME. I loved seeing the different ways in which the magic had manifested in different people.

I also really loved the Sylphs, but you’ll need to read the book to find out more about them.

Characters
The characters were really quite good in this book. I loved the roller coaster that we go through with them all, whether emotionally or the really trying challenges they come across.

Shh, this is relevant

Sondrine, as a protagonist, I thought was fantastic. I thought it was great how torn she was over wanting to get back to reality - but in fact, Winterhaven is very almost a preferable alternative to her life, I mean, what does she have to lose by not returning to England? Nothing. I liked how she cared deeply and passionately about the people she befriended, and I particularly loved that she had her moral compass working perfectly the whole way throughout.

I thought the king was a horrible character, and the scenes within the castle where we see and find out what happens to his subjects and the children working in the castle was depressing. I’m extraordinarily interested to see what happens in the political scene in book two . . .

Shán was a very interesting character. I quite liked him from the start, although there were some moments when I thought he was a little crass. I think he does have a good heart though even if he is quite literally the worst at expressing his feelings. I just really want to know what’s going to happen to his character in the next book! Whenever that is coming. There better actually be a book two, or I shall cry.

Shán being a sass monster

Honourable mentions are Zhang the Elder and Guernsey. Both were lovely elder-like figures offering lots of advice and knowledge; I loved the Gandalf-like position they each filled, being the wizened characters swooping in with knowledge and brains when needed.

Summary
I think that’s about all I need to say for this book. I really enjoyed the reading experience and I am completely in love with the setting. This also gets extra Kirstie Brownie points because a dragon does pop in for a scene or two. I super want to continue the series because I think things are only going to get better from here on in - BRING IT ON.

Happy reading!

My Thoughts:

This is the best book I have read this year. This book is amazing. I am in love with every part of it. I NEED the next installment NOW! There is no way I will ever forget the ending of this book. I will now be stalking this author's Web page eagerly waiting for news on the next book.

Dear Author,

Get to writing now! Please.

Sincerely,

FANGIRL

I really expected the amount of time i spent reading about Cimmerian’s Curio Emporium to be more lengthy. Instead, at only 10% into the book, i was whisked into Iscaeld, the cold land inside a snow globe that the main female character had bought a the very beginning of the book. The authentic set a steady pace from the beginning and dove right into the adventure. I love a story that flows nicely and doesn't drag on. On every page something new and amazing happened.

The world that this is set in is rather unique. Iscaeld is a cold place ran by a strict king. The king rules with an iron fists. In this land there are many people with unique and extraordinary ablities. The are mythical beings. This world is beatifully described and as I read the place became real in my mind. Again, perfect.

This is exactly what I expect and want from a fantasy book. A perfect book, for me anyways, needs to be properly portione, and this is.. What I mean by that is that an author focuses too much on one subject and it becomes repetitive and annoying. One scoop action, one scoop world building, one scoop action, then blend.

As for the romance. Yes, we have a budding romance between Sondrine and Shán, but this is more fantasy/adventure than fantasy/romance. I would describe this as Frozenmeets The Lord of the Rings. I don't now what book two will contain, but there were adult situations, not graphic sex, just situations. An example is a scene where the king tries to force himself on Sondrine after she tries to avoid her fate of marrying him.

The Characters:

I have never said this about any other book before, the characters are PERFECT. I have feelings of dislike and almost hatred towards the viilians, and will forever cheer for my team of good guys.

Sondrine is an elementalist who puts me in mind of Elsa from Frozen, but she can work with more than just ice. She is young, I think 18 or 19. Her character is amazing. She acts age and she is constantly learning from mistakes, experiences, and feelings. She is a very curious person and so eager to shape her life the way she wants. Her aunt has made the decision that she will marry a man who is just blah. He has a weird obsession with teeth, talks to her breasts instead of her face, and has an unhealthy love for food, his physique shows this obsession. To avoid this marriage, Sondrine decides to run away, but instead of gaining freedom she winds up stuck in a world where a king has basically claimed for his own. There is an Immortal queen who has vengeance against the king and it is believed that Sondrine is the only one who has the power to conquer it's queen.

Shán is a warrior for the king. He pissed the immortal queen off and she wants his head in exchange for what he did. He rescues Sondrine from the freezing wilderness, and out of self preservation, he hands her over to the king. He had no clue how bad it was going to be for her once she got there. He is witty, confident, humorous, and is very popular with the ladies. I like his character and feel that there is much more to him than we know as of now.

There are also some magical and mythical characters in the mix that play a huge role in the story; sylphs, alchemists, monstrous beasts that I can't remember what we're called (kindle battery dead), and more.

Excerpt:

Shán says to Zhang the Elder, "If you can stay with Lark for a moment, I will help Sondrine get cleaned up."

The old alchemist takes my place on the bed, and with his pipe smoke, he creates an incredible spectacle of jungle trees, swinging vines, and wild animals of every sort. When Lark seems thoroughly engrossed and distracted, Shán escorts meme into the culinary. The pagoda is a mass graveyard of glass. One of the rafter has detached itself from the ceiling and hangs unsteadily, like a half-assed evergreen ready to fall with one more good shake.

Recommendation:

I recommend this to EVERYONE! Especially if you are in the mood for epic fantasy. Honestly, this is one of my all time favorite books. Definitely my favorite of this year. This is fantasy done right.

I recieved a copy of this book from Story Cartel in exchange for an honest review.

Surprise, surprise! This fussy little book blogger picks up a fantasy novel and—gasp!—LOVES it! Nelson has masterfully taken a somewhat overtired "people get transported into a snow globe" theme and built a story that is really, really good. The Snow Globe is immediately immersive, and as a reader I was quickly swept away to magical Iscaeld, which felt real enough to taste. The characters of Sondrine and Shan are well developed and the dialogue is engrossing and authentic. There is also a host of solid supporting characters that lend delightfully to the books wonderful body, and I'm having a hard time thinking of another that I'd rather have my teenage daughter read. This is a well written, thoroughly entertaining little fantasy novel.

I would like to thank both the author and Story Cartel for providing me with a copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book and review will be featured at Please Pass The Books on October 30, 2015.

Imaginative with multiple plot twists. This is how I summarize The Snow Globe by Jenna Nelson.

I was drawn to this book because of the premise that an entire world exists within a snow globe. Unlike Alice in Wonderland though, the main character, Sondrine, doesn’t have to fall down a rabbit hole to arrive. This is a debut novel and as such had... A solid 3 stars!!!

This was more of a dark and macabre fantasy. Although, tagged as YA, I would recommend it for teens 17+ mainly because of the adult situations throughout the book. There is an almost rape scene in the book but nothing comes of it. I liked the concept of there being a sovereign war between a King and an immortal queen. The magic and fantastical creatures were fantastic. But what let the story down was the MC Sondrine. When I started the book, I found her to be spunky and bad-ass which I loved. She proved to be thus till she ended up in Winterhaven. Then somewhere towards 50% of the story, her character devolved and I found her whiny, insufferable and petulant. She kept getting angry and hurt even when the supporting characters tried helping her. I found myself not caring what became of her towards the end. The book being in the 1st person didn't help either. I just couldn't relate to her.

The only character that I liked was Shán. He was by far the most complex character in the book. There's were many layers to him and I was itching to know his backstory. His interactions with Sondrine were the only times, I found her tolerable. But he plays a minor role for 3/4ths of the story and is only seen towards the end playing a bigger role.

I also didn't like how the ending was rushed. It felt very unsatisfying and a little too easy. Maybe I am wrong. I hope I am. I was expecting there to be a major cliffhanger since this is the first book in a series.

Overall, the story was enjoyable for the fantasy aspects. I don't know whether I could manage another book with the MC. Hopefully, she grows up at some point because there's a war coming. I might read the next book to see what happens but unfortunately, I am not jumping out my seat to get my hands on it.

The Snow Globe (The Winterhaven Chronicles Book 1) Jenna Nelson

Set in 1875 London, Sondrine Renfrew works at her Aunt's apothecary and antique shop. One day a stranger appears and wants to trade a beautiful snow globe for medicine, she accepts.

Then she fins out her Aunt wants her to marry a wealthy (strange) man. Sondrine is upset and decides to run away. but she finds herself in a strange land, Winterhaven. She meets Shan and realizes he sold her the snow globe and this was all planned.

Sondrine finds her destiny is to overpower the Queen who wants to destroy Winterhaven, if she refuses she will be beheaded. This will not be an easy task, for she learns the Queen is immortal.

Sondrine is very likable, she is frustrated with her life, then finds herself in danger and on a mission she can't refuse. The story is very original, the characters are well developed, the attention to detail bring you into the story.

I really enjoyed The Snow Globe and feel those who love a great fantasy will enjoy it as well. A true five-star read! The cover is beautiful, and captures Winterhaven perfectly.

I liked the concept of this one and the story was mostly good but Sondrine did get on my nerves a few times. She started out as a somewhat good character but then became overly difficult towards Shan and the other characters. She was childish, uncooperative and uncommunicative to the people supposedly helping her. It was beyond frustrating and I couldn't see her as anything more than a petulant child. Shan also had his annoying parts, mostly not telling Sondrine what was going on and trying to manipulate her into doing what he wanted. Beyond these couple of character flaws, the plot was interesting and the world building was OK. 3/5 stars.

There are very few times that I can give a debut author a 5 star rating. It takes most authors time, experience, heartache and hundreds of re-writes to get to a solid book. Then you quietly stumble across a born storyteller. That's right, storyteller NOT writer. They create the story you feel part of. Character bios? Yes, but somehow you must have already known these characters. Backstory? Yes, but it flows naturally and the reader seems to be part of it. Plot building? Yes, but that should happen next...it's what I (the reader) would have done too. Cliffhanger? Moan!, but yes, I'm committed enough to wait. That commitment is saying a lot from me (this reader). I've given up on (grown apart from) so many series waiting for the next installment. I won't on this one! There's absolutely NO WAY I can go on with life without reading more. Also, I don't usually re-read books! There are too many new books out there waiting. BUT DON'T BE SURPRISED if you hear about me re-reading this one...it holds so much that I figure a second dose would be just as magical. PS #CoverSnob It's that cover appealing? You bet your *** it is!

The Snow Globe (The Winterhaven Chronicles Book 1) Jenna Nelson

I read a small teaser several months ago. Since then, I waited for its release. And it was worth the wait!

This book reads like a true classic. The author does a phenomenal job, presenting a unique and very creative story about a young, strong-willed woman, Sondrine, who runs away from a bad situation, only to end up fearing for her life. Now living in a fantasy world called Winterhaven, she is charged with a mission. If she fails, she will be beheaded.

The story unfolds perfectly, scene by scene. I was transported to the 1800’s with the author’s clever and time period dialogue and background descriptions. The characters were very well developed and the engrossing plot kept me in suspense. But I didn’t want to rush through it. Ms. Nelson’s writing is truly beautiful and every word contributes to the development of the story.

I purchased the e-book version as I normally do with all my books. But I will be ordering the paperback version too. This is a book I will re-read.
And with a cliffhanger like this, I will definitely be following the series.. FANTASTIC DEBUT!

*NA Fantasy*

This book begins in 1875 London, but... like... in an 1875 London from a parallel dimension-one where there's magic and no one blinks twice kind of 1875 London. The heroine, Sondrine, works for her aunt's curio/apothecary shop and is one day visited by a mysterious stranger wanting to trade an antique for herbs. The antique in question is a snow globe which will impact her future and catapult her into a secret world she never knew existed. Her journey is no accident though as the mysterious stranger is actually a bounty hunter sent by the king. Turns out, Sondrine has been chosen to squash Winterhaven's evil queen.

I loved this book! It was full of adventure and strong characters. The plot was strong and I didn't always predict what was going to happen. The writing was vivid and I loved the world(s) Nelson created. I can't wait to see how Sondrine and Shán's relationship evolves in the next book. =)

I really like this book. I am only halfway through but I read the first half all in one night because I just couldn't put it down! It is definitely a different kind of story than I have ever read before due to the elementalist main character and the fact that she is transported inside a snow globe. I like the main character's attitude a lot especially since she is in an era that women were not supposed to speak up at all really.

I must admit: this is the first fantasy novel I’ve ever read. This isn’t my genre. So why did I choose to read it? Well, I’ve had a love of snow globes all of my life because I have always been mesmerized by what appeared to be an enchanting world inside of them, a glorious escape from the life’s tough realities. When I saw this beautiful cover and read the synopsis, I was intrigued.

The Snow Globe exceeded my expectations. Jenna Nelson is a superb wordsmith. From the very first page, I was captivated by Sondrine Renfrew’s life—working in her aunt’s apothecary and antique shop in Victorian London. My initial fascination for this story never left me, but I did learn that anything can and will happen in the world inside the snow globe—and it isn't always pretty!

I don’t like writing reviews that are mere synopses. The synopsis above gives a wonderful overview of the book. What I do like to write about is how I feel about a book. I loved it! This author is a brilliant wordsmith. Her words flow effortlessly, the scenes she describes come to life in my mind’s eye, her characterizations are distinct, and her humor is wonderfully placed throughout. The story completely engaged me; it was not only insanely imaginative, but brought one delightful surprise after another. It was a true joy to read and without a doubt, I will read the sequel to this book when it comes out. Just really good!

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

5 * * * * * Star read

I chose this book first based on it's cover, and second the excerpt. I loved both. It's about a young woman, Sondrine, in London year 1875. She lives with her Aunt in her Emporium that sells medicines and tinctures. Something happens and Sondrine finds herself somewhere that was not her bed chamber in which she was just standing in. Instead she is in the Snow Globe, like the title of the book suggests, where a King rules with cruelty but he isn't the only threat. There is much action, and many beautifully scenes depicted. I especially liked the Phoenix and ice dragon. Lots of action packed fantasy with just a hint of romance. Warning: slight cliffhanger at the end. This book belongs to a Duo-logy, and book two has yet to be released. There are secrets you'll be grinding your gears to unravel, and some of the characters will surprise you. I was so happy to get to review this. This is a must read, and top of the TBR list worthy.

A really fun, imaginative ya fantasy that keeps you guessing who's the bad guy. I'm not sure if it's a series or not, but I feel like there's 5,000 questions still unanswered about the character's motivations, but the book had a satisfying conclusion.

I needed a break from the romance reads and a friend recommended this story to me. I was first delighted with the writer's skill in weaving the English language into a beautiful tapestry of imagery and story.

Next, I was immediately drawn into this world by Sondrine, a very quaint character. Then a mysterious stranger turns into a man who I wasn't quite sure how to take. One minute dismissive and acting like he didn't care, then turning around and saving Sondrine only to involve her in intrigue.

Sondrine showed ingenuity and a strong spirit as the mystery man, Shan, introduced her to an evil king and his young child servant, Lark. There were so many twists and turns, in this world of creatures and magic. There was definitely a dark side to this world as well. Soon Sondrine doesn't know who to trust and finds she has a destiny to fulfill in this strange place she finds herself in.

I haven't enjoyed a fantasy this much since I read Lord of the Rings. Definitely kept my interest in trying to figure out all the intrigues going on. I liked how, even though the story wrapped up at the end and could have been a stand-alone, you know Sondrine's mission isn't complete yet. There was no huge cliffhanger, but enough intrigue I couldn't wait to read the next book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

This book deserves so much more attention! How come it has merely 80 reviews on Goodreads?

"The Snow Globe" takes off in the turn of the century London (the exact time is never stated but I feel it might be the early 20th century?) in a described in vivid detail emporium and apothecracy. The story revolves around Sondrine, a young girl and a talented Elementalist who lives at the mercy of her aunt. In a typical YA fantasy fashion, Sondrine hates corsettes and is definitely opposed to an arranged marriage - she just wants to keep on studying. But when her aunt tries to force her to marry a man of her choosing, Sondrine decides to run away - only, by a turn of events, she ends up inside a snow globe that a mysterous man has brought to her aunt's emporium. But soon she discovers that she didn't end up there by chance and as she explores the fantasy realm she has to quickly figure out who she can trust.

I was really impressed how well the plot and the characterisation were dealt with. Jenna Nelson's debut - INDIE - novel is in so many ways better written than other well-advertised YA fantasies. Seriously, if you have a chance, check it out. It's on Kindle Unlimited, so if you are there you can give it a try without any additional costs. You won't regret it!

A gorgeous debut fantasy set in an alternate world of eternal snow. Sondrine, a young woman with elemental gifts, is living a dreary life in service to her aunt at an apothecary in 1875 London when she suddenly finds herself at the center of a deadly conflict in a different place and time. Lured to Winterhaven to save the inhabitants from an evil king and a mad queen, at war with one another, Sondrine must learn to harness her gifts in this inhospitable world if she is to survive.

Nelson wove a highly imaginative story in an equally creative setting. Characters were well developed and I felt transported by the prose. A fantasy novel that will appeal to both YA and adult and a remarkable debut.

Renewed love

For some we reach a point where no matter the author or the tale, all of the stories fall flat. They all seem the same within a genre. This was me and fantasy so I searched for other stuff to read. I took a chance on this book and glad I did. The characters are believable and the story flows well enough to make it an enjoyable read. When I had the time to read I went through it quickly and eager to turn the pages. The author nor anyone else asked me to review this book, I did not receive freebies, coupons, or discounts. Yes I recommend this book.

Charming

Enchanting a very well written story. Enjoyed the elements used as magic very imaginative. Plus how time goes on everyone looks for the fountain of youth along with the chance of immortality. Absolutely, loved it,betrayal was everywhere. The book is well worth reading no spoilers here

Disappointed

I was excited when I first started reading but somewhere halfway into it I lost interest. Too many unanswered questions and twists and turns for what seems to be no reason. I made myself finish it.

Snow Globe

For a new novelist, I give it an A+++ for creativity for artistic and imagination. I loved reading this as it will appeal to young and older people alike. Can't wait for the sequel!

This one was weird. Right up until the 40 percent mark it was pretty good. From there....not so much. I dnf'd at 50 percent or so. The story completely devolved and began to make no sense whatsoever.

Interesting, but a little dark

The overall story was interesting, but a bit dark. Kind of like the original Brothers Grimm stories, but with a happier ending. Overall, the tale was new and interesting, but I would definitely say its not for younger teens.

Hated the ending

Really enjoyed the book. Plot twist were great. However I hate how it ended.
I'm hoping book 2 answers a lot of questions.
