The Storm Testament III by Lee Neilson is about Sam Storm who is the son of Dan Storm, he is an ambitious adult who doesn't really think through things. I gave this book 4 stars because Sam is pretty much a spitting image of his dad with only very few variations in personality and looks, and so the repetitiveness of characters isn't the best. This book was good because he always has a good storyline. I also really like the historical aspect that he learns about an event he wants to add to his story before he does it so he can get everything to as much detail as possible. I would recommend this book more to adults or people with a wider understanding because some of the things would be harder for younger people to understand. The one thing I would change in this book is the character development because this is so much like the first and second books with different character names. Overall though the series is something I will continue reading. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a “wild west” plot. This book is definitely a 9.5/10.

Still enjoyable, if a tad simplistic. And, there is a distinct lack of character development for the female characters.

Storm Testament 3. " When it gets tough just go through it"- Storm testament (p.165).This is a great book. The reason I like this is because its action packed. It it about a young man going throw some tough times. But he gets through them. This is a mnt. Man book. It has fighting, action packed, love scenes, and mystery. This is a great boo for the whole family. And I cant wait for the next one. Ike is a a really tough guy who is awesome. But the sheriff is my least favorite guy because he is just mean.

The Storm Testament III

By: Lee Nelson

This book was about Dan storm kid called Sam. Sam was working on the rail road with his friend Lance that is a half-breed. After they were done with the rail road Sam got in a fight with the boss of the rail road company for the west side. After the fight Sam’s friend, Brutus’s fiance, Kathryn helped cure his wounds from the battle, because she is a nurse. Then Sam high jacked Brutus’s fiance to go to a ball that night. At the ball Brutus came and tried to arrest Sam for stealing his wagon, but Sam got a way.
One day Sam went to Kathryn’s house and wanted to talk to her but his father would not let him so he took the cover of the lamp and put his hand over the flame until he got to see her. After a couple of seconds Kathryn’s father went up stair and got Kathryn. So they talk for a while then Brutus came in and forgave Sam for what he had done. So Sam came over to Kathryn’s house more often and learned that Brutus was building a house for them. So Sam and Lance figured how to get some money to buy a house for Sam to win Kathryn’s love. So him and lance borrowed some money from this friend of Lance to make fire water (alcohol) and trade horses for fire water. So they went out to go trade and were successful the first time and went with their new horses to get away from the drunken Indians. So they went a 10 or 20 miles before stopping by a stream to let the horses drink and Sam and Lance rest on the shore. When they were asleep some Indians came and stole all their horses and belongings accept one horse that was lame and could not walk. So they killed the horses and made some cloths and food, when the horse jerky was done the set off to find the Indians who stole their stuff.
After a few days of travel they found the Indians camp and stole all their horses which were about 100 horses. They also rescued two Indian women that were captured in the process. When they stopped to camp a few days later their horses ran away from them so Lance and one of the Indian call kicking women went to go find their horses. While Sam and the other Indian called leather belly staid at camp with some of the horses that did not leave. While lance and Kicking women were gone same named leather belly, “grizzly fire woman,” because she drove off a bear with fire And killed it. So when lance and kicking woman came back. They went to town to sell the horses, but lance love kicking woman and went to kicking women’s and grizzly fire woman tribe. And Sam went to Lances friend and gave back the money they owed to her.
One day Sam and Kathryn went to look at a house for Sam and when they went to a house and showed Kathryn the house he bought and she was thinking of not marring Brutus and marring Sam, because Brutus only cared about his business, but then Kathryn’s brother died of small pox, and Brutus showed so much emotion that Kathryn decided to marry Brutus. So when Kathryn tolled Sam that he burned his big house down and left for grizzly fire woman.
The day of Kathryn’s wedding she found that Brutus had poisoned Kathryn’s brother. So she went to find Sam. When she found Sam a couple weeks later she found out that grizzly fire woman had did from small pox, because Dick Boggs had poisoned the camp with small pox. And so Sam decides to kill Dick Boggs.

I rate this book 5 star because it is an awesome action adventure book.
I would recommend this book to people who have read the first 2 book and people who like lots of action.

More formulaic LDS historical fiction. Lee Nelson knows a style and plot that works, and he does it well enough. This book takes place 20 years after the second one takes place, and has only one character in common. This book centers around Dan Storm's son Sam Storm, and the thing about it was, I couldn't tell Dan from Sam. Seems that Nelson wanted to write more Dan adventures, but he had already written out the character history for Dan and needed a new character to send on these adventures. It would have been nice if there was more about them that was different.

As in the previous books, it was quite the page turner, one dangerous adventure leading almost directly into the next. Though there were parts that read like a history lesson - rather jarring to go from adventure to expository on the transcontinental railroad. As in the previous two, there was also a bit of romance mixed in with the buffalo hunting and horse thieving.

Once again, a page turner, even if it is getting predicable by the third in the series.

I read this to my boys and they loved it. From Sam's first fight to his last it held their attention. It covers many historical events like the completion of the transcontinental railroad at Promontory to the intentional destruction of many Native Americans by whites using smallpox as a weapon and driving livestock across the vast wilderness through Indian Territory to cities in the north. They were always eager to hear what would happen next.

I'm just writing one quick review for the set. The first of the three was the best. A little melodramatic but some of the wilderness survival scenes and battles with Indians was riveting. With that said, I did start skimming alot through book 2 and 3. Fun romance and lots of fights (Indians, not romance fights) but anyhow, somehow it just got old fast.

This book confused me a bit since where it started 20 years after where book 2 left off, and now I am reading Book 4 and it starts back where Book 2 left off...

Anyway, good story. Lots of action, and some romance. It does have a few swear words, but it seems like all of these books have it.

liked it more than the first two. dont really know why. may be because there was an actual objective. or maybe the bad guy finally got his due. i also liked the conflict with polygamy, small pox, and driving the horses.

My only complaint with this one, is that it is so out of order with the other books. 3 and 4 should be switched and then my mind could rest a little better.
