Overachiever Mary-Kate Grant (who is indeed named after an Olsen Twin) has followed every rule to the letter to pursue her dream of working in TV programming. Ripping a page from the “hard work pays off” playbook, she takes an assistant level job at a Chicago sports network to break into the industry.

MK has no time or desire for a relationship right now—she is totally focused on her career and being independent, unlike the other women in her family.

But MK’s plans are run through the shredder when she finds herself working for William Cumberland, a British media mogul who made his fortune with Connectivity, a social media site. William blows into Chicago just like the winds off Lake Michigan and purchases the group of networks MK works for—and makes her his personal assistant in the process.

Suddenly MK finds her career plans in jeopardy. William makes her question everything she has ever thought and has the uncanny ability to see right through her. And for the first time in her life, MK finds herself not only questioning what she wants for her career but for her personal life as well.

**** 4 1/2 Love Connecting Stars ****

Book provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

I just have to say, for this being the author's first book, that this story blew my mind away!  I couldn't get enough of Mary Kate and William.  From MK's klutzy ways to William's cute banter.  This was a love story to top love stories!

I think I have found a new author to follow now and can't wait to see what else is in the works for her.

Mary Kate works at CME (Collective Media Enterprises) as an assistant to the General Manager for TATS (Total Access Total Sports) network.  She hates her job but is so career orientated and has dreams to work her way up to their sister station Beautiful Homes network.

MK comes from a family who puts a major emphasis on women finding a husband and only worrying about how big the wedding is going to be.  MK is the "black sheep" of the family because she doesn't have any time for it.  She finds herself in the middle of an irritating sister and annoying mother while they try and plan a wedding.

In comes Mr. William Cumberland, a British mogul and developer of Connectivity, who just bought out CME and is in the US for the transition.  William catches MK in a precarious position while trying to bind papers and immediately the sparks start flying.  William decides to make MK his personal assistant and moves her up to the same floor as the Beautiful Homes network.

Between tea and scone serving and embarrassing blogs she posts about William, MK starts to break through the wall William has around his heart.  More and more, MK gets him to smile and joke around about things while the two of them start to fall in love.

This is not a Alpha romance or erotica, instead this is a heart-felt beautiful love story where two people learn that work and careers aren't everything.  William is a perfect gentleman who respects MK and her wishes to take things slow.  He isn't the sex craved man but instead a man who built his life around his empire and MK is the first woman he has taken a chance with.

This is not just the gist of the story....we watch William become romantic and loving while all is right in MK's world and her blog is actually getting followers who want to read about her recipes and designs.  MK even gets a chance to write a story for Beautiful Homes.

They are cute, they are real, they are funny and they melt my heart......this is definitely a story worth reading!

You ask about angst??  Well, yes there is a bit of angst but no cheating, no unexpected pregnancies, and no deaths.

*psssttt....and yes, she was named after Mary Kate Olsen :-)

Needing a book to read, I decided to hop onto the Ipad2 and have a look at books, I have had for quite a few years and came across Connectivity by Aven Ellis. I have to say that this book surprised me as I enjoyed reading it and I loved both the main characters of William and Mary-Kate. The couple had great banter and the author had written their chemistry very well that it was sizzling off the pages. The other thing I enjoyed was that this book was more about the romance/banter and their everyday working lives together rather than a sexual component which is what you tend to get in romances these days and sometimes it is just a tad bit OTT and you get bored reading constant sex scenes. Connectivity reminded me of the chick-lit stories like The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger, Sex in the City by Candace Bushell, and Can You Keep A Secret? by Sophie Kinsella, the chick-lit novels that I fell in love about 2009-2013 before the world of publishing became saturated with heavy sex in romance novels. The other thing I enjoyed was that Connectivity had quite a steady pace which was a surprise seeing as it was a slow burn romance. If you are wanting a good relaxing read full of fun times and banter and a true love story, then check out Connectivity by Aven Ellis.

I love that moment where you read a new-to-you author for the first time and know there’s the promise of many more beautiful books from them to come. Connectivity is Aven Ellis’ debut novel, though she has since released three more and after several gentle hints to get my act together and read them, I chose to start with Connectivity. I have to remind myself that this is just Aven’s first novel because this suggests that her other novels will improve and get better and if she can build on Connectivity then I am in for a bloody treat because this book is a fabulous read. I smiled right from the start, from the moment when Mary-Kate goes into war with the evil binding machine, and that smile never left my face, not even when it was 4am and I realised I still couldn’t put this book down. I loved every single little thing about this novel.

I loved MK’s character – she felt so natural and normal, an easy character to identify and connect with. She’s more than a bit of a clutz, she snorts when she laughs, she’s okay with focusing on her career and not feeling like she should be in love and settling down… at least not until she’s faced with a certain Mr Cumberland. She was just the typical girl, of course with a little more than meets the eye but she was never made into a character that could be difficult to relate to. I loved that she blogged and seeing her writing improve and her blog grow more popular throughout Connectivity was really special to read and it enhanced her character, showing a side to her that was less noticeable on the outside but creative and a bit different. Mr Cumberland or William as he was most appropriately known as was very British and very, very good looking and thoughtful and caring and easy to like (can you tell?). I loved their interaction, the subtle flirting, the innocent teasing, the little signs that their feelings for each other were growing. I liked the contrast in some of the words they used, how William would correct MK’s Americanisms and how MK would do the same back. Their communication was full of sparks.

Aven’s writing style was gorgeous! Such stunning writing - descriptive, expressive and so easy to read. I loved the detail that was given when describing the fashion seen in this book, the different settings and the design. A lot of effort looked to have gone into creating the perfect picture for the reader and everything was made so damn easy and beautiful to picture. The building of the romance in Connectivity is different to a lot of contemporary romance novels in that it is developed slowly and focuses a lot more on their feelings and connection on a personal level – the romance is a bit cleaner than in most books but equally satisfying and refreshing to read. Plus, nothing prevents this book from being delightfully romantic. The scenes in London were my favourite – they were, as I quickly came to expect from Aven, wonderfully written, and I adored how things played out. The last day in London especially was perfectly delivered and the highlight of the book for me. Connectivity, with its ultimate feel-good romance, planted a huge smile on my face which didn’t relent for a good while after I’d finished. I LOVED it!

I just LOVED re-reading this beauty!!!! <3

Merged review:

*Book provided by author in exchange for an honest review and I also won the book again.*

First I have to say, that I think the cover is really beautiful. The colour is magical and I just love everything about it.

Mary-Kate is a career driven 24 year old with a lot of ambition, drive and enthusiasm. She is a talented writer and has a blog. Her career is the most important thing for her, she doesn’t think about man and having a relationship. Love that she is named after an Olsen twin and it’s great to read about Full House, I loved that series when I was younger.

William is the sexy media boss who turns up at her office in Chicago. He’s British and he’s single and not interested in dating. I have to say, I still have a huge crush on him. Great man and such a gentleman and so caring as well – perfect ♥.

I really liked the way the two of them met; I was funny and interesting at the same time. Aven’s writing is vivid, catchy, brilliant and sparkling. I was so hooked to this book; I read the whole time and couldn’t put it down.

The way William and Mary-Kate’s relationship developed was great and something different from other stories. The scenes between them and their interactions were amazing and wonderful. Every single scene has it’s own spark and glimmer. Their relationship started innocently, but builds up more and more, they are such a cute and adorable couple and their love was always there, without neither of them saying something about it. They way they treated each other and showed each other their feelings made this story magical. You can see that one person, if it is the ONE, can really change everything in life. I can’t tell you enough, how I loved the connection between William and Mary-Kate.

The differences between the UK and the US were always included in a fun and enjoyable way throughout the story.
The ending and the epilogue were so adorable and brilliantly written, like the rest of the book.
The bonus scenes on Aven's blog are great as well :).

This book is an incredible and marvellous debut novel and I can’t wait to read books by Aven Ellis. ♥ ♥ ♥ I never felt so connected to a story and the characters before, especially to Mare-Kate, she reminded me of myself in some ways and I just can't get William Cumberland out of my head ♥.

First of all I loved the chick-lit/romance feel of the book. Even more so, I loved the fact the characters didn't fall head over heels in love. Mary-Kate Grant wasn't a huge fan of her new boss William Cumberland at first sight, but his intelligence and hints of personality won her over. I loved seeing him let her in slowly and once they became a couple, I think I was as happy as they were.

Aven really slowly built the relationship up between them, truly making this a slow burn. And in true chick-lit/womens' fiction style, the burn in the bedroom wasn't behind closed doors but wasn't expounded on as much as it would've been in a true contemporary romance.

This is my first book by Aven Ellis and I look forward to reading more from her!

I really like this book. I mean really liked it. Typical office romance story, billionaire mogul who has no life, does not date falls for his assistant. I thought it was going to be pretty much that, but it was more. The hero and the heroine were such likable characters, even though I got a little upset with William at the end, he made up for it. I could not stay mad at him for long.

The banter between William (badass mogul billionaire) and MK were funny and cute. I liked them together.

I loved that it was not insta-love. However, MK noticed him, but she was not all “hot, tall billionaire.” MK kind-of made fun of him at first through her cooking/decorating blog that he noticed and starting following. I loved MK’s honesty. I loved that William was trying to be just a regular guy with her and a friend. And that is what they started out as…friends. Friends who slowly started to have feelings for each other.

I love the scene at the bar on Valentine’s Day… “Do you want to play 20 questions with me, William?”

And I loved William’s British accent… ”This is utter rubbish.”

Mk is smart and sassy and an independent person. I love that she did not care what her roommates, Reese and Emily thought of her friendship with William. Like they had any place to judge? In my opinion, I think they were just jealous. Those roommates were always looking for “something” and never could hold on to it and here was MK not looking and had it.

“Please know that while in public I will not display any outward form of affection toward you-just in case we are seen-but I am holding your hand right now in my head.”

I loved the text messages between those two.
There were the issues of William and MK having to deal with office gossip since William was her boss. Then there were issues of having to deal with William’s executive assistant in London, but I really loved it all. I did not want the book to end.

Thank you Aven Ellis for providing me a copy to read and review. This is one book that left me with a smile for days after reading it.

Career-driven Mary-Kate took a job as an assistant at a magazine publishing company to get her foot in the door -- but she's afraid she's going to get booted out when she accidentally insults their new British billionaire boss, William. Instead, he likes her forthrightness (and likes her) and thus begins a romance.

The characters are compelling, and I love the funny texts William and Mary-Kate send back and forth. They're awesome. Their romance is great. His family, as well, is great. The rest of the supporting characters are fairly one-dimensional, and there's no significant conflict in the book (aside from a stupid misunderstanding at the end), but it's still a fun book worth reading.

I have been having a rough month. Between dealing with absolute craziness at work and trying to make this author dream happen, my mind has been going non-stop and I have literally made myself sick from stress. It has been miserable. I have not been writing. I have not been reading. I haven't been doing much at all except worrying myself silly and talking my husbands ear off about what if this? and what if that? and do I need to do this? or should I do that?

Enter Aven Ellis...

Now, y'all know that I am not a huge "light hearted" romance reader. I tend to gravitate more towards darker, angsty romances that rip your heart out. But being that I was having a bad month, I decided to give Connectivity a go. I heard it was really cute and swoony and that was exactly what I needed.

And holy cow did I make the right choice! This book was exactly the cure for all that ailed me.

MK Grant works as an assistant at a sports TV station which was just purchased by big time media mogul, William Cumberland. Despite her clumsiness, she manages to impress him and he decides he would like her to be his assistant while he works through the takeover. But mobile platforms isn't all they're working on... they are also working on a love connection.

MK is smart and adorable, but also clumsy and a bit awkward. She has great style. She cooks. She decorates. SHE BLOGS! She doesn't love what she does, but she is working towards her dream and I totally related to her.

William is a gorgeous Brit with an accent and crisp white shirts and leather jackets and he says the most proper and sexy things and *drools*... I fell in LOVE with William. Yes, he is a rich business man which has been done before, but he didn't feel like old news to me. He wasn't tortured and brooding with dark secrets. He was respectful, open, and caring and wanted the best for MK.

Separately they are great well-rounded characters. Put the two together? Sparks flew and my heart just about exploded with all the sexual tension and love and flowers and rainbows and all of that romance stuff.

This book was fantastic! It was the perfect pick me up and it made me happy. I can't think of any better way to explain it... It made me happy.

I laughed out loud to the point my husband thought I was a crazy person and I had to explain that it was just the book and I am not indeed crazy (or am I?). It made me sit up and get all excited and shout out "kiss her already!" to the empty room... laughing to myself and talking to an empty room... hmmm

It made me smile through the whole book...well, except for that one scene towards the end where I just about screamed... but aside from that one bit... smiles all the way : )

Aven Ellis is my new favorite romance author. There I said it. And Connectivity is already on my best of 2014 book list and its only March. Go get you a copy!

I wanted so badly to like this more. I really love the plot and how things played out in the story but sadly the characters fell flat. MK was more annoying than anything else and I just never really felt like I knew William. I found it odd that she was so vehemently against being in a relationship but then was super quick to start referring to him as "her man", especially when she never even had that conversation with William. She was very repetitive with her thoughts. The term bada** mogul was also extremely over used. I wish the storyline with her sister had been a little more developed. She was made out to be a horrible bridezilla but MK and her never resolved their conflict. I felt like the other assistant just dropped off the face of the earth as well. Like did she come to accept MK or did she eventually get fired for mistreating her so badly? For the most part I do really like how they fell in love. It was a gradual love which I enjoyed. I also really enjoyed their ending and how we get an epilogue those are always a good thing to have in my opinion. Overall, it was a cute love story. I recommend to anyone who loves the falling for a billionaire love trope.

I heard so many great things about Connectivity - I was a bit scared my expectations would be too high. Obviously, I had nothing to worry about. The book is just as brilliant as I had hoped. I can't remember the last time I smiled and laughed so much while reading.
Aven Ellis' writing is easy, it's funny... just fabulous. I really loved MK as a main character. And William. Well... *sigh*
The odds aren't in their favor. Career ambitions, tight schedules and not that much trust in the whole concept of "love", MK and William have to overcome a lot. Neither of them was planning on it, let alone expecting it, but they did.
Connectivity is a very funny, flirty contemporary romance with two wonderful main characters, the perfect settings - written by a brilliant author. Loved every page. Very excited to read more Aven Ellis novels - can't believe this was her debut novel! Born to write.

Typical fairytale rom-com which if you're in the mood for hearts and stars, then you will love this. However, if you're not in that mindset, save it for another day.

It is a lovely, quick listen, well narrated, even if a little predictable in the storyline.

Too much for my heart atm back to the comfortable area of psychological thrillers and spiritual work!

★★★★★ MOST APPROPRIATE STARS!!!

You remember when you were a little girl growing up, reading fairy tales about heroes that were really heroes, characters that had character, and the good guy was...a good guy.

Wonderful, light hearted, romantic, and hilarious Connectivity is a must read. A captivating story of new love and all the building blocks and hurdles a relationship faces to test true love. Set in the modern world of business and tycoons, Aven Ellis has given us possibly the best klutziest female heroine ever, and a millionaire that is truly something to swoon over. He does not have a little black book, he has not slept with everyone of his female employees and he is not out just to satisfy some dark hidden sexual need to dominate.

Mary-Kate Grant or MK, has been working as an assistant to the GM of TATS -Total Access Total Sports at Collective Media Enterprises for almost a year now. It's not something she enjoys...actually it's probably the furthest thing on her list of enjoyments but she's got her eye on the prize and knows that starting at the bottom of the ladder and hard work are the only way to get to where she ultimately wants to be. Working for the Beautiful Homes Network - a sister station for the same company. But within the blink of an eye all of her hard work and dedication may have just been for nothing as William Cumberland - British Media Mogul has decided to take his first plunge into the US market by buying out CME.

"He's young...and made his fortune developing Connectivity, a mega player in social networking... And this British mogul could change the course of my future"

William Cumberland at only 32 years old has built up an impressive empire. Developing Connectivity a social media platform and taking it to the top of the social media game made him a world wide name. Now getting his foot into the American Market is the next step and he's starting with Chicago and Creative Media Enterprises.

"William Cumberland purchases Collective Media Enterprises First foray into US market"

William and MK have a couple of things in common, they both believe that their careers come before all else. That is of course why he has all he has, and she is doing all she can to get to where she wants to be, and relationships and love have been completely obsolete in their worlds. MK because she doesn't want to end up like so many other women she's known, giving up their careers and everything they have worked so hard for because the responsibilities of family take over, losing themselves in the process. And William because even though he has everything on the outside, we all know things are never the way they appear. What neither of them is looking for is about to hit them head on when they least expect it when Mr William Cumberland the tea drinking British Millionaire meets the klutzy Starbucks addicted American redhead.... stuck in a binding machine.

"It scares me, I find myself reevaluating all my previous thoughts on love and relationships because of him. I'm risking my heart- which I have never wanted to do"

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this book. It swept me off my feet and took me on a beautiful journey with two amazing characters as they learned that trust, commitment, and love are more important than any dream, plan, or even empire.
I believe Aven Ellis is an author that writes from the heart, bold enough to swim upstream in a market that so many others easily go over the mainstream waterfall. Not to take anything away from the classic sex god asshole millionaire finds wholesome girl next door turns instaslut, everything has its place, but William and MK are anything but. Connectivity is a true love story seductively strung through a humorous romantic plot. Just a word of warning you may not want to read this book in a public place.... You could find yourself laughing uncontrollably and snorting like Peppa Pig ;) while drooling and swooning over the millionaire that breaks the mold.

After receiving the funniest review request, ever- and earning myself a new nickname in the process- I have frequently chatted with Aven over twitter and I consider her one of my friends. I feel the need to disclose this, and also state that in no way did this cloud my judgement or opinions about Connectivity.

Anyway.

After reading the blurb, I knew this was something slightly out of my element. Yes, it is a romance and I do love my romance, but this screamed sweet and fluffy. Which isn’t a bad thing, mind you, just not my forte. And I was right, this is a sweet, slow building romance between two people. Two people with reservations about love. No damage. No shocking past. Just two people falling in love and discovering that they are their own worst enemies.

MK (Mary-Kate) is career driven and solely focused on her job. Mucking along as an Assistant in a sports network, striving to get the job she really wants in TV programming. Enter William, billionaire and owner of Connectivity, a social media site. After William buys out the networks that MK works for, he storms into Chicago and into MK’s life, choosing her as his assistant while he’s there. As the two get to know each other and get close, they discover life has more in store for them they what they planned.

I was immediately drawn into the story. MK was hilarious and being inside her head was so fun. She is witty, sassy and quite the klutz. She was also pretty hot-headed and had a temper. We see it flare a few times but for the most part, she is pretty easy-going. Having her Mother and sister basically give up their careers after finding love, MK swears it off. She has goals and dreams for her career. She is driven and doesn’t want any distractions. Although she was attracted to William right off, she still held back. There were several reasons why, obviously #1 being that he was her boss. I got it. I understood why she was holding back. But once that ball starting rolling… William made her question everything. What she wanted in life. What she could/couldn’t live without. And that she didn’t necessarily need to give up herself OR her career for love. I also loved that she was a blogger. Those little comments about her followers made me smile several times. As for William, he is quiet, reserved and hesitant to let people in. As the two got closer, we see this wall that he has masterfully crafted crumble. We don’t get his POV but he was such a well written character it was easy for me to connect to him as well and really SEE him. If that makes sense.

I loved how their relationship was slow building. They never put a label on it and although we could predict where it was going, I liked that. I had fears that since William is supposed to be a powerful person in the business circuit, that he would treat MK different. Which in a sense, he did. But not in the way I was fearing. He pushers her to better her career. He opened a door for her, but left it up to her whether or not she would pursue it. MK, in turn, saw William for William. Their banter was hilarious and sweet. You can’t help but just feel all mushy.

There weren’t a lot of secondary characters in Connectivity, since the story is primarily about MK and William. MK’s sister; who was a piece of work. Her friends/roommates; who honest to goodness pissed me off a few times. Although their intentions were good, I felt they were too focused on the negative and trying to micromanage her love life. William’s brother and wife; their presence is small yet significant. And lastly; William’s other assistant, Arabella. I have nothing nice to say about her, honestly.

My Peeve- It was semi important and an inside joke, but I didn’t like that they constantly said each others name while speaking to each other. I know, weird peeve. The ending too, felt kind of rushed to me. We have 300 pages of these two slowly building up their relationship, only to have it wrapped up in this nice little package in 5 pages or so. (I don’t really know the exact page number, I am guessing here.)

Overall- I really liked it! I was hoping that we could see more of these two in the future *side eyes Aven* but after the epilogue, it’s pretty obvious she is finished telling their story. Sweet, slow building romance that had me laughing throughout. I recommend this one.

Connectivity is author Aven Ellis's first book. I first discovered her writing through the Soaring Eagles series, which I really liked. It makes sense this is a first book. It is a bit cliché and traditional. For instance, personal assistant and boss fall for each other. It is a cute book and nice when things work out so well.

I am still grinning and it must be the magic of Aven Ellis and her quirky imagination! Connectivity is NOT an “ease you in slowly and let you adjust to the water” kind of read. This is a “pitched off the high dive and plunge right in” romance with humor, wit and a spot of British attitude and a ton of American sass!

One humiliating office machine incident, a few words that would make a sailor blush and Mary-Kate’s life has just taken a detour into another world, as her escapade has been witnessed by the CEO of her company, a Brit with an overpowering air about him. Will her life become a nightmare of epic proportions or a heavenly dream that would make an iceberg melt? William is intrigued by the feisty office assistant, she speaks her mind, has thoughtful, if untimely comments to make and that pretty face is covering a brilliant mind. Only in the States for a few months, William needs an assistant, and Mary-Kate is his choice, was he prepared for her outspoken attitude, her less than gracious entrances into a room or her ability to foresee his every need? As an assistant, he realizes she is under-utilized, but she brings out something in him he hasn’t felt in forever. He needs her for more than the duties she performs, but it’s ever so NOT proper to fool around with the help. Will her “in your face” attitude melt his icy façade? Is there a romantic underneath that stiff upper lip? What about Mary-Kate? Can she learn to give a little more than is proper to find true love? Can she find someone to believe in her and her dreams? Two continents, one couple, let the games begin and please bring a proper cup of tea!

Aven Ellis commands romance to do her bidding, follow her quirky path and leave her fans smiling, giggling and just plain old feeling good when that last page creeps up just a little too quickly. Great authors leave you in the atmosphere of their work as each page comes to life for a few hours afterward. Here I am 36 hours later, still smirking; I would say Aven Ellis is beyond great! Humor, romance, banter and a world filled with opposites attracting, perhaps she is the UN Ambassador of love and laughter!

Firstly thank you to Aven for sending me a copy of Connectivity.

I’ve heard lots and lots about it through twitter from my blog friends Simona and Isabell, including how handsome book boyfriend William Cumberland is. William was suggested for part of my February feature “A Book Boyfriend a Day” and you can find that post here!

The story is set mainly in Chicago but also hops across the pond to London too! It’s all about main character MK Grant. MK has always put her career first, much to the chagrin of her mother and sister, and strives to make it into programming, starting off as a lowly assistant and hoping to work her way up from the sports network to the homes network. It also follows her through the ordeal of having a new boss, facing corporate restructure and the possibility of losing her job having her career ambitions dashed.

I really like Mary-Kate, and totally empathised with her straight away over a fight with a binding machine – shared experiences. She’s down to earth which really makes her likeable as a character so it’s easy to enjoy reading about her. I liked her work ethic and it’s one that I share as it’s been my own career journey (although in a different field) so just something else about her that was relatable. I liked that she is able to stand up for herself and her decisions, I liked also that she isn’t fooled by William and challenges him at every turn.

William is a great book boyfriend. He’s British and he fulfills some of the stereotypical attributes of being a Brit such as a love of tea! He’s also incredibly polite, thoughtful and although a little reserved it feels as though meeting Mary-Kate really allows him to come out of his shell, enjoy life and live a little.

The story is funny and romantic and keeps you hooked all the way through, I didn’t realise how quickly I was reading the story but I just couldn’t put it down. I’m really looking forward to Aven’s next book!

3.5 out of 5 stars

I thought this was a lighthearted and fun book with just a touch of drama and I really enjoyed the story line. I liked the characters a lot. I thought MK (Mary-Kate) was spunky and strong, not whiny. I loved the fact that she never put herself down and stands up for herself. William was really sweet and I enjoyed the fact that he wasn’t a typical showy rich guy. Of course he was tall, sexy, and handsome so I now have another British book boyfriend. ;-)

I thought Mary-Kate and William had an entertaining first meeting. I enjoyed their interactions throughout and I thought their inside joke was fun. I liked learning more about William as he opened up and enjoyed his brother’s family. Her family and friends however were a piece of work.

It was lovely to see their relationship evolve and grow though they didn’t talk about it a lot, it just was. It was based on them truly getting to now one another and it developed slowly. They had some playful moments and I found myself smiling and laughing on more than one occasion. While sex is touched upon I have to say it was refreshing that it wasn’t the main focus.

A sweet love story that has a nice build. I would definitely recommend this book.

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from the Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This book was one of my very first reviews back in 2013. This was the first book of Aven's that I reviewed. It not only started my love of Aven's writing but also a friendship that will last forever.

I have always loved MK and William. MK is fun but also determined. She has worked hard her whole life and is so close to her dream job. MK is very accident prone and gets herself into some very funny situations.

William is as badass as ever. I love him even more than I did the first time around. He is also extremely romantic. I could not have been more jealous of MK than in this book.

Reading this revised version of this book shows to me how much Aven has grown over the last 6 years and I cannot wait to see her grow over the next 6 years too.

Love love love love love

I think it was most appropriate for me to love this book... because I did. I really really did. It sucked me in from the beginning and I literally read the first half until 2:30AM before I finally forced myself to set it aside and get some sleep. I was giddy to finish it the next day and when I was done I went back and read my favorite parts over and over. So much fun! Of course I had to buy all of Ms. Ellis' other books immediately afterwards. I'm so excited to read more from her!

Well done!

CONNECTIVITY by Aven Ellis has the perfect balance of witty banter, humor, tension, passion and romance. I started reading and did not stop until I was finished. The characters are likeable and engaging. I was rooting for MK right from the beginning, and just waiting for William to act! It is well written and flows nicely. It is the perfect escape that I expect from a Rom-Com, Chick-Lit romance.

I really liked this book! It was quick moving and brought me right in. I found myself rooting for William and Mary Kate from the beginning. The characters were real and easy to relate to. A great book to curl up with on a cold night!

2.5 stars rounded up to 3. A standard romance about a British billionaire and the sparks that fly when he hires a new American assistant. Unfortunately, there wasn't much in the story that made it any different than 100's of other books out there so it was just okay.
