Two years will change them forever.

When rumors spread like wildfire—like having three-ways with her boyfriend’s rock climbing brother—Lily Calloway spirals into a dark place. Her bedroom. Loren Hale is more confident and determined to keep their sex life private, even from their friends, and he helps Lily in the only way he knows how. But how much love is too much?

Their lives are filmed, watched, and criticized. And through it all, Lily and Loren have to face enemies they never thought they’d see, demons they don’t know if they should bury, and setbacks they didn’t think they’d meet. Not this soon.

And one rumor could be too much for them to handle. It will test their greatest limitations, and if they don’t hold onto each other, someone is going to drown.

A full-length New Adult Romance. Thrive must be read before Addicted After All if you have not read the Calloway Sisters spin-off series.

I am a WH🅾️R👁 FOR LILY AND LO, they fully own my entire soul. The only reason this wasn’t a 5 star was because it was a recap of kiss the sky & hothouse flower, which I completely understand had to be done since some people read the Addicted series without the Calloway sisters series. But since i’ve seen all the events in this book happen already, I didn’t feel like a 5 star was warranted HOWEVER.. as I said before, lilo owns me. <3

Two years will change them forever.

This Addicted series is one of a kind. I love everything about these books. Thrive is almost like reading a book(s) you love from another pov. Usually, I’m not crazy about that. But I desperately needed to know what was going on with Lily and Lo when everything happened in KTS and HHF. Even though most of the plot/storyline was the same, it didn’t feel like the same old same old- LiLo brought so much more to the story. Seeing where Lo’s head was when he did certain things was much needed for me.
“We’re going to have our happy ending. It may just take us a while to get there.”

Thrive takes place directly after Addicted for Now and spans over two years. It’s not as detailed as some of the other books because you already know what’s going on so it doesn't need to be. I’ve heard you can read this series in different ways, but in my opinion you NEED TO READ THEM ALL and you need to read them all in ORDER. I can’t imagine skipping any.

I understand the appeal of Raisy and Cobolway, and I love them all- don’t get me wrong, but there is nothing better than LILO. I can’t explain my love for them. They are my new favorite book couple. Their love is so real, all consuming and epic. I love how they always 100% support one another. It doesn’t matter if they make a mistake or whatnot, this couple always has one another’s back. And the references (Harry Potter, XMen etc) are my favorite thing ever! They bring out my inner geek and I love it!

“No matter what happens, I’ll always be here, Lil.”

There were times that reading from Lo’s pov brought me to tears. These books are really emotional for me because I feel so attached and connected to the characters. Even though I already knew what was going to happen, I still stayed fully invested and the story didn’t feel repetitive. It still felt fresh to me.

I’m getting ready to start Addicted After All and I’m equal parts sad and excited. This is the last Lily and Lo book. I don’t want to stop reading about them. I don’t want this series to end! Thankfully, there is another book after that and a few more on the way! I’m not ready for it all to be over!

**** FULL REVIEW NOW POSTED *****

Spoiler-free review. Plot is not discussed.

Thrive is the latest fantastic addition to the Addicted series and I absolutely LOVED it!!

I've been a huge fan of this series from the start and can honestly say that it just keeps getting better and better. Krista & Becca Ritchie continue to raise the bar and there really is no other series like this.

The Addicted series has everything I could ever ask for in a romance. It has loveable but flawed characters who each have a special place in my heart, some of the very best writing I've ever read, and the entire series has this delightful feeling of intensity that always keeps me fully connected to every page of the story. I absolutely ADORE it. I'm addicted. I love it. I crave it. I always read every new book as slowly as I can to make it last longer. And I highly recommend it for every single fan of romance out there!!

Please note: this book is not a standalone. This series must be read in order (see bottom of post) and this is the sixth book to be released in it so pleeease be sure to start with the first book.

This series essentially follows three main couples (Lily & Lo, Rose & Connor, and Daisy & Ryke) who are bound together by love, friendship, and family ties. There's a sex addict, an alcoholic, a virgin, a smartass, a daredevil, and a jackass and I promise you will fall in love with each and every one of them.

"Everyone is staring," I whisper to Lo….

His gaze softens for me…  "You're a sex addict and I'm an alcoholic," he says, "and the whole fucking world knows it. We have to get used to people staring, love."

Also, within this series, this book is technically a "companion novel". That means it's a full length novel but it tells Lily & Lo's story (in their POVs) during the events of the previous 2 books in the series. This is not a retelling of the same story though and it is a must-read for any fan of this series. It contains new content that fills in all the blanks and truly completes the story so far. You might think that you know the whole story but you don't really... not until you've read this book.

The response to this series has been amazing. It has a strong and very passionate fan base who love these characters deeply and I think one of the main reasons is that the six focal characters, who are the heart and soul of this story, are some of the most well developed characters I have ever read. This is literally the most 'complete' story you can imagine. It's a 360 degree look at these characters lives. We know everything about them and so we care about everything that happens. It's not just that they feel real to the reader, it's that you feel like you genuinely know every side of them. You know them better than you would even know a friend because you've seen their story through six different perspectives. They become a part of you.

The character dynamics are PURE GOLD. It's not just about the main couples, but each of the six characters has their own, unique relation to the others. That's 15 interpersonal connections!!! It's a helluva lot to build a story on and KBR have done a top notch job of conveying each and every emotion flawlessly.

Although I loved each of the couples, Lily & Lo have always had a special place in my heart. I think the desperation and intensity of their situation is just so heart-wrenching that you can't help but want to root for these two addicts to make things work. I loved Lo's fierce protectiveness of Lily and Lily's unwavering faith in him. The only thing stronger than their addictions is their unconditional love for each other. I love how, no matter what, they are each each other's highest priority and nothing ever changes that. We've seen them hit rock bottom, we've seen them support each other every single step of the way, and we've seen them begin to get better. Together. Always together. There's no Lo without Lily and no Lily without Lo.

"The only thing keeping me here is Lily. I try to make every day count for something. For her. When I fuck up, she doesn't act like it's the end of the world. She tells me that the next day will be better."

And best of all, they're surrounded by a group of people bound together by all different kinds of love who are willing to go to any length for each other, and to protect each other. It's heart-warming to an extreme.

I think I've said this in every single one of my reviews for the books in this series but it bears mentioning again that the main reason I have so much respect for these authors is that absolutely everything in these books makes sense and there is never any contrived drama. The story is intense, heart wrenching, romantic, sexy, fun, emotional, but never once is the integrity of the story or the characters sacrificed. Each line, each plot development, everything makes sense. These characters are each fighting their own battles but I respect the hell out of each one of them. And consequently, I feel the same about the authors.

"There will always be bad days, but it's how we live those bad days that counts."

It's a wonderful feeling to have such complete trust in the authors of a series you love. I was halfway through reading this book before I realized that I actually hadn't even read the blurb yet. I didn't need to. I just completely trusted that they would stay true to the characters every step of the way. And they did.

This book ends without any big cliffhanger but the next story is fully set up and I can't wait to read it. If you're new to the series, you can easily start it at any time even though there are still more books to come.

My honest opinion is that this is one of the very BEST on-going series out there. I highly recommend it!!!
"We're going to have our happy ending. It may just take us awhile to get there."

This isn't a standalone story and while it's vital to the series storyline, it's still genuinely a "companion novel" so I don't feel right rating it on it's own because it's just one part of a much larger story. So, I'm going to just add it in to my full series rating of 5 STARS instead.

THRIVE is a companion novel and not a novella. As a companion novel, it bridges the gap between the end of Addicted for Now through the two spin offs, Kiss the Sky and Hothouse Flower, and to the start of Addicted After All. There are several ways to read this series:
1) If you skipped reading the spin offs than you will NEED to read Thrive.
2) If you did read the spin offs than this is Lily & Lo's journey through her sisters' books. Lots of stuff happens to them that we never saw in KTS and HHF.
Either way if you are a fan you will want to read this book.

Logistics: it's broken into 3 parts. The time frame spans 2 years 5 months. Under each chapter number it will indicate the year and month which makes following along easy. I posted in my Addicted For Now review the time frame and I'm adding here too.
description

DYNAMICS:I'm often asked which book or series does Addicted compare to. I can never think of a comparable book series but I do have a comparison-> it reminds me of the TV show Friends (popular in the 90's). Minus all the switching of partners it has the same fun feel of twenty year olds living life together. 'Friends' had a faithful fan base who tuned in each week and lived vicariously through their favorite characters. Same is true in the book world with this series. Each time a new Addicted book shows up on our kindles all of us fans gather together to buddy read it. And just like the fans of 'Friends' who still watch reruns...we, fans of Addicted, rally around a new person as they start their journey with this series. We are able relive the series through their updates and reviews.

Lily & Lo are the geeks. Rose & Connor are the nerds. Daisy & Ryke are the adventurers. The combo of these 3 couples along with their struggles and successes pulls the readers to root for their favorite couple. Being able to relate in little ways to these characters, either be a geek or daredevil or brainiac, allows the readers to see themselves in the characters.
We aren't connected by our addictions. But by our childhood. Souls fused together from the very, very start.

*********************************************************
Addicted series is interconnected with two spin-offs. The authors have written the books in 4 “phases”. Each phase is a complete story line with a satisfying enough conclusion.

Recommended reading order:
PHASE 1 (Lily & Lo):
{#1} Addicted to You | {#1.5} Ricochet | {#2} Addicted for Now

PHASE 2 (Rose and Connor) | (Daisy & Ryke):
{spin-off} Kiss the Sky | {spin-off} Hothouse Flower

PHASE 3 (Lily & Lo):
{#2.5} Thrive | {#3} Addicted After All

PHASE 4 (Rose and Connor) | (Daisy & Ryke):
{spin-off} Fuel the Fire | {spin-off} Long Way Down

“But we’re in Earth-616, love. We’re going to have our happy ending. It just may take us awhile to get there.”

This book was just a recap of everything that happened in kiss the sky and hothouse flower but from Lily and Lo’s pov and for someone who really didn’t care about these two it was just so unnecessary and kinda boring for me.

Lily and Lo are still my least favourite characters that’s why I was like “mmm who said you’re interesting enough to make me read the same story again but from you povs? I’d rather have it from Rose and Connor’s. I would read the grocery list of these two if it’s from their pov!!”

Two things that I actually really enjoyed in this one and that are also kind of 🚫SPOILERS🚫 if you haven’t read kiss the sky and hothouse flower:

1️⃣ It’s that we get a kinda extended version of Connor’s and Rose’s weeding! I loved to see that! even if it was from Lilo’s pov but whatever.

2️⃣ That we get to see the moment Rose discovered she was pregnant!! I kinda hoped that we get to see her talk to Connor about it like we saw Lily and lo do, but we don’t always get what we want so whatever. Again.

🚫 End of spoilers 🚫

Other than the fact that this was unnecessary and boring for me, it was also the fact that Lily and lo got what I wanted for Rose and Connor and yes I’m salty about that. Also, I still think that Lo is a selfish prick and he just need to grow up!

"But we’re in Earth-616, love. We’re going to have our happy ending. It just may take us awhile to get there."

LILY AND LOREN THE LITERAL DEFINITION OF SOULMATES 😭❤️

Lily and Loren is the heart of Addicted Series. I will do anything for them anything just so they can have their own happy ending. God,I love them so much 💕🤌😭 And trust me I would do anything for my precious babies to protect them 😩
They aren’t connected by their addictions. But they are connected by their childhood. Their Souls are fused together from the very, very start. They may be two different persons but they are one soul.

"I’m going to love Lily how I want to love her. Overwhelmingly, uncompromisingly. Look away if you have to."

Reading about them always brings me so much comfort and they are my comfort couple. They both deserve so so much better😭❤️ They deserve all the love and happiness. I want to hug them so badly 🫂😭 And those who made them feel like they are just two addicted people who don't deserve anything, I hope you all burn in hell.

Thrive takes place during the events from "Kiss The Sky" and "Hothouse Flower". Its just the compilation of both the previous mentioned books but from Lily and Loren's Pov. This book shows the evolution of Lily and Lo's relationship and friendship. How they are fighting their own addictions in their own way but without enabling each other. They both are trying to learn and grow together by each other's side but sometimes they regress too but it's all the part of their journey. I'm happy that the authors decided to write the Thrive because it wouldn't do justice to Lily and Lo's story because they were still fighting their addictions and I just didn't wanted to skip this part of their story. I love all the references they made of Marvel comics, Harry Potter and GOT and so many. The fangirl inside me was screaming everytime they made a Marvel or a Harry Potter reference. I can understand Lily and Lo's obsession with those 😌
And they are even going to name their baby "Maximoff" if its a boy after Quicksilver's last name and "Luna" if it's a girl after Luna Lovegood 😭💕 I know they are going to be amazing parents and they both deserves this.

And the scene where Lo relapsed and got sick that scene broke everything inside me because of his pain and what Lily had to went through 😭😭😭

"Lo,” I whisper, my fingers making circles on his black shirt. “I just want you to know that if you leave this world, I won’t be in it for much longer.” He’s a piece of me. You cut it off, and it’s like going through life with no lungs.

Loren Hale
THE LOVE OF MY LIFE 💗 I swear I would anything for this man just to see him happy. I'm happy that he is doing everything he can to fight his addictions just so he can be a better man for Lily. He never abandoned her but instead he tried and is still trying to be a better person for her.
I love his relationship with Ryke and Connor. That he's trying to have a better relationship with his brother and his best friend Connor. Connor and Ryke were their for Lo at every step of his addiction even when he relapsed. And I love the banter between these three 🤣 it's so hilarious. And Lo is Connor's new "Darling" and Connor is Lo's new "Love". Lol they are besties 🤣💕

Lily Calloway
My favourite girl 💕 she is the best I said THE. BEST. GIRL. The things I would do for her 😩 I love her so so much and I am so happy that she's trying to fight her s*x addictions in her own way. Rose was always their for Lily and she is the only reason why Lily is able to cope with her addiction. I just want her to have her own happy ending with Lo and her loved ones.

Rose and Connor "The hottest nerdy couple" Lol their intelligence turns on each other 😩🔥 and hell they are going to have a baby while Rose was literally horrified with this idea but Connor was always grinning like damn he won because he finally knocked up Rose and now he can finally have his empire filled with babies 🤣 God, I love them

Daisy and Ryke "The adrenaline rushers" I love them they are so adorable 😩💕 I want more of them in the next books now that they are together. They both have been through so much shit together and all I want for them is happiness and love. They deserve all of it.

They all the entering into a new chapter in "Addicted After All" And I know the Cire Six is strong enough to get through it and I know they will do anything to protect each other and their children.

—Favourite Quotes—

"Our love is rare. It’s one I can’t abandon, even if I tried. When she screams, an identical one rips through me. When she cries, my world rains with grief. When she loves, I truly, truly fly."

"Remember how when we were little?” I whisper. “You’d chase me around before midnight.” “You always ran out of breath.”
“I wanted you to catch me.”
“I thought so.”
“Catch me,”
I whisper.
“I already have,” he murmurs.

"The only future I want is the one that ends with her."

"I lost something recently," he tells me.
My heart swells at the familiar voice, and I spin around to drop-dead-gorgeous cheekbones, a ruby-red visor, and lips that pull into a breathtaking smile.
"Found her," he says.

he says, “I wouldn’t be here without you.” It is bigger than an I love you. It is a declaration that solidifies what I’ve known for so long. We aren’t connected by our addictions. But by our childhood. Souls fused together from the very, very start.

"The perseverance to do anything, to be anything. To thrive. Someday, that word will belong to us too. After years of coming up short, it’s all I’ve ever wanted."

"Maybe one day he’ll realize how far we’re all willing to go. For the people we love most."

"The world seems empty whenever I watch her. It’s a peaceful existence."

I haven't even completed this series and I'm already missing them. I refuse to believe that they all are just fictional characters. They feel so much real to me now. Now there is only one book left of Lily and Lo and I'm crying 😭 but atleast we'll get more of them in Collaway Sister Series 😌 I would do anything just to read this series for the first time again. They all have a very very special place in my heart.

Lily & Lo <3
I'm really loving their story so much but also I love Connor & Rose and Ryke & Daisy too. I can't wait to read more about them... :)

And I don't know how I lived my life without knowing this series... But better late than never, right? ;)

Ps. This series are must read, I highly recommend them. <3

Thrive is best describe as filler. I do not mean that negatively, but it does basically fill in the time that lapsed from Addicted for Now and Hot Houseflower.

I was jonesing for this book after just finishing the binge read on the series, and was I disappointed??

I adore these six characters, so any little bit you want to give me I will happily accept.

Thrive alternates in POV between Lily and Lo. We basically relive a lot of scenes from Kiss the Sky and Hot Houseflower from their perspective. Since I am Team Ryke I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy this one, but I fell back in love with LiLo. I had forgotten how they had originally stolen my heart with their friends to lovers story.

In my opinion, Lily and Lo are soul mates and their love for each other is so apparent in their actions. Lily and Lo would die for each other, but more than that, they live for each other.

Their story is sad and it breaks my heart. I feel like they basically raised each other. She is the forgotten Calloway and he is the son who ruined it all.

Yes this Harry Potter gif for Lily and Lo, since they are such fans.

Some of Lo’s thoughts in this story made me want to cry, and it made me less angry at him for some of his actions from the other books. Lily is endearing and sweet, and I loved watching her try to be strong for Lo. I swear, I just love these two!

I obviously love this series and love these characters so why the 4.5 stars instead of 5? I hate to say it, but it didn’t blow me away because there wasn’t a ton of new material. I think in a vlog I watched there was supposed to be 80% new material…maybe I got it backwards, because It didn’t feel that way.

I still loved it and cannot wait for more!!

“We're going to have our happy ending. It's just going to take us a little while to get there.”

(I buddyread this book with sis Bea. Check her lovely review by clicking her name.)

Lily and Lo. Lo and Lily. This couple always gets the best of me. I haven't continued this series until now for some reasons. But rehashing Lily and Lo's story along with Connor, Ryke, and the Calloway sisters was such a happy indulgence. I miss this gang so much!

I could say that reading Thrive helped me reminisce some details that I hardly remember. I loved that it felt like a re-read to me. It brought back so many feels! What I loved most about this book was Lily and Lo's character development. I loved how their battle against their addiction felt so realistic to me.

It wasn't that easy for Lo to get rid of drinking temptations since it was his way of coping with problems while growing up. In this book, a lot of things got too tough especially when he also had to deal with Lily's inner battle against sex addition and during those times, he started to feel like regressing. I saw the way he fought hard not to go back to his old lifestyle and for me, that was such a brave thing to do.

Lily's growth was also apparent. It was slow but progressive. In the previous books it seemed as though her addiction would be impossible to manage but in this book I really felt her struggle towards beating it. I totally admired her because even though the addiction always stays with her, she still continued to make such a huge effort to conquer it-- all for the love for herself, Lo, and her family.

It was a great read as a whole. The romance was all around the corner and the humor definitely made it worthwhile. Krista and Becca Ritchie really know how to capture a romance reader's heart.

How could I not love any book in the addicted/Calloway sisters series? It was so nice getting to read Lilly and Lo’s POVs again after the last two books in the series follow Rose & Connor and Daisy & Ryke. My only complaint is that this book has an overlapping timeline with Kiss the sky and Hot House Flower. It was really interesting to read a lot of the same events from Lilly & Lo’s pov but I generally knew everything that was going to happen because of that. Overall so excited to read the last few books in this series!!!

**Bonus Material from Thrive: Daisy's 17th Birthday Party**

**First Official Teaser Poster**

Krista and I talk all the time about how this book is really dedicated to the fans. It contains some of the crazy, wild, insane, dramatic moments from Kiss the Sky & Hothouse Flower in Lily & Lo's POVs -- plus the months that those books didn't even cover. It's largely NEW material (about 80%).

It should not be skipped if you haven't read the Calloway Sisters spin-off series. Really, we don't suggest skipping this one at all. It's vital to the Addicted series and Lily & Lo's story. We strongly suggest this recommended reading order.) Thrive is a pretty important stage for Lily & Lo, and it's one we really love. We hope you do too!

4.5 Stars (Second Read 5/26/2017)

5 Stars (First Read 1/10/2016)

This series is such a wonderful combination of emotional, funny, sexy, and sweet. All these characters have such a great dynamic with each other. This novel spans over two years, including events from Kiss the Sky and Hothouse Flower. Since this was a reread and I'd just read those two novels, there were times when this felt a little repetitive and slow. But I'm so obsessed with Lily and Lo that I didn't care. I start and end these novels the same way:

I think there are only so many ways I can review this series. If you follow my reviews with any regularity, you know I love everything about the Addicted world. I'll recommend these books until the day I die. So the rest of this "review" are just some of my favorite quotes...
"Not that I ever thought about you as just a dick. I mean, I thought you were a dick, but the metaphorical kind. Not the kind I would ride." < Classic Lily ;)
But I'd take a Lily at a low over no Lily at all. < Swoony Lo <3
"I remember now, why we're friends." Connor steps into his costume's black pants. "Every man needs a dog... Lassie taught me that." < Connor and Ryke's weird relationship
The only future I want is the one that ends with her. < More swoony Lo <3
I'm going to love Lily how I want to love her. Overwhelmingly, uncompromisingly. Look away if you have to. < Lo pretty much swoons away in this book :)

I want to be defined by so many factors that it's too complicated for any mathematician to piece apart. That would be the perfect life. Not good or bad. Just complex.
I'd wish for people to be simple— just so I can understand everyone— but then they wouldn't be real.
"I forgive you," she says easily.
"How?" She's not soft. She sits up straight with barriers hundreds of feet tall.
"Because I know you'll never forgive yourself... your guilt is punishment enough, don't you think?"
< Rose and Lo's complex relationship :)
His amber eyes graze me as though I'm the most beautiful broken thing he's ever been a part of. "You're perfect." < LO!!! *heart eyes*
"I just want you to know that if you leave this world, I won't be in it for much longer."
"I'm unlucky. Very, very unlucky, Lily. Birth control is 99% effective, so Connor's superhuman sperm somehow penetrated my body's defenses. He won. His sperm reached my egg and now I'm going to have this thing growing inside of me for nine whole months while he gets to parade around the fact that he impregnated an impregnable woman." < Rose's "love" ;)
"Can't you take a compliment and not turn it into a character assassination of yourself?" < How well Ryke knows Lo <3
"You and me."
I smile against his lips. "Lily and Lo."
"And someone else," he says.
^^^^^ That last one... just KILL ME! Right in the fucking feels <3 <3 <3

Original Review

I honestly believe I would read anything involving Lily Calloway. She could be grocery shopping, doing laundry, or watching freaking paint dry, and I'd want to read about it. For a character that is so subdued and "weak" because of her addiction, I actually find her to be incredibly strong. Lily is without a doubt one of my favorite heroines EVER. I mean, how could she not be when she thinks things like this...
[Ryke] doesn't have X-ray vision, and the world isn't so unjust that it'd grant him a superpower before Lo or me.
I wish I was a T-Rex. I'd eat him. In a non-sexual way. Just to be clear.
He chucks a fry at my face.
I eat it. So there.
This has to mean that my invisibility powers are blooming. Maybe my baby is magical. The thought almost makes the pregnancy not so bad.
Honestly I could go on forever. I've always been a fan of shy, awkward, nerdy, and slightly nutty characters and Lily is a shining example of how it's done. She's ADORABLE <3

3.75 thriving stars

"We're going to have our happy ending. It just may take us a while to get there."

So I waited about a week and took my time gathering my thoughts on this one. I also watched a good portion of the Live Chat with the twins and that helped, thanks girls!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu6hX...

Thrive is a filler novel, and while this sounds bad, it isn't. Thrive gave the reader Lily and Lo's side of the story throughout the sister books, Kiss the Sky and Hot House Flower (***note, you must read those books before reading this one). Lily and Lo continue to wrestle with their addictions and try their best to take control of their own lives.

"We don't think they'll understand, and we're both exhausted from all the voices in our lives. For once, we just want to do this together. Alone. Lily and Lo. Like it was before. Only better this time. We're stronger now."

I was actually fairly happy to get LiLo's side of things, especially because all throughout HHF I felt like Lo was a total dick to Ryke. It's great that the authors were able to provide the readers with both sides of the story, because one's perception of an event is always different from someone else's.

My absolute favorite aspect of this book was the amount of nerd references in it. So much Harry Potter!!! And I loved it! All of the nerd references made me smile pretty darn wide.

"'I'll never understand Ravenclaws,' he tells me. Connor and Rose would belong to the smartest house in the wizarding world. No question. Before the sorting hat even touched their heads, it'd scream Ravenclaw!"
^^^ I totally concur.

"'I know nothing.' I wait for someone to mention Jon Snow and Game of Thrones, but I realize that Lo's the only one who'd understand the reference." (honey, I totally understand. I'm usually that girl at the party)

The development of the relationship between Lo and Ryke was pretty darn amazing. They may not always understand each other, but they love each other, and I look forward to what becomes of their relationship in the next book.

"Penance-that's what I am to him. For all those years he never met me. I'm his way into heaven. Do right by me and all of his sins are absolved."

In fact, I loved the development of Connor and Lo. That scene in the kitchen? Actual tears in my eyes. So the bromances were amazeballs in this book.

Overall, this book was my least favorite of the books, but that mostly stems from the fact that this book only expanded upon the story and did not further it. Don't get me wrong, it's still wonderful and you should read it, but I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

"The perseverance to do anything, to be anything. To thrive."

4--Thriving--Stars!!!

Oh boy, going in to this book....

Thrive spans almost 2.5 years and overlaps with both Kiss the Sky and Hothouse Flower. So there were events that I knew were coming and damn, damn, damn I did not want to read about some of them.

Thrive continues Lo and Lily's story. Lily the recovering sex addict and Lo the recovering alcoholic. Every day remains a challenge for them.

"I want to have everything we had without all the bad."

Every day they battle their addictions. They battle the media. They battle their friends. They battle their families.

They have a love like no other.

"We aren't connected by our addictions. But by our childhood. Souls fused together from the very, very start."

Their addictions will be challenged. Their strength will be tested. They'll fail. They'll rise. They'll fight.

"Our love it rare. It's one I can't abandon, even if I tried. When she screams, an identical one rips through me. When she cries, my world rains with grief. When she loves, I truly, truly fly."

You'll cry with them. You'll laugh with them. You'll get mad with them. You'll fall in love with them.

Lo and Lily have been through so much as a couple. Their love has been tested over and over again. There is no Lo without Lily or Lily without Lo. It's always been Lo and Lily.

"We're going to have our happy ending. It just may take us awhile to get there."

Something about LiLo just grips me. As much as I love Coballoway and Raisy, nobody does it like the OGs.

I’m going to love Lily how I want to love her. Overwhelmingly, uncompromisingly. Look away if you have to.

This book was pretty much a summary of the last two books in Lily and Lo’s POVs but I still really enjoyed it which is a testament to the amazing writing. I just wish there was more new stuff going on rather than just a summary of what I just read.

I’m so sad I only have one more LiLo book :(

I love love love love love weddings 💕
It’s at that moment where you feel like real-life has a fairytale. It’s all about love and happiness.

I love how the ending of this book is about reality. A real life scenario that could happen to anyone. The emotions and doubts and questions they had in their minds & how they try to make themselves believe that they can do it like normal people.

This is pretty much all i can say without revealing, at-least everything. Sorry for the semi spoiler..

Happy reading y’all!!! :)

5 I LOVE Lily and Lo Stars

Thrive is a FULL length novel. You must read Addicted to You and Addicted for Now prior to reading Thrive. You do not have to read the spin-offs, Kiss the Sky and Hothouse, however, I highly recommend it, since the story over-laps.

Thrive takes place right after Adidcted for Now and during Kiss the Sky and Hothouse, except it’s in Lo and Lily’s POV.

I listened to the audio version and this is my first time listening to an audio book without reading it before and I have to say…

I LOVED IT!

Lily and Lo are still battling with their addictions. I just feel so bad for Lily. She can’t just stop having sex. I guess she could, but that’s crazy, so her and Lo work on having “safe” sex, meaning Lily not using sex as an outlet for her stress. I love the relationship Lily and Lo have and I love how supportive they are towards each other.

All Lo wants is Lily to be happy, but it’s hard when Lo gets crap from his dad and he still gets cravings all the time. He stops taking his medication because he doesn’t want to throw up if he accidently consumes alcohol through food. I love how protective he is towards Lily and I love that he thinks about her all the time. (As it should be in any relationship < --- totally being serious).

What I enjoy the most

The Love between Lily and Lo < ---- it’s epic, once-in-a-life-time romance. I love dependent relationships. I think it’s because I’m completely dependent on my husband. Is it wrong? Some would say yes, I say, OH NO! It’s the best.

The Pace

If you are on the fence with Thrive, I urge you to pick it up if you are a fan of the series. You just get so much more Lily and Lo. As much as I loved Kiss the Sky and Hothouse, I feel like I understand Lo and Lily’s actions more. In Hothouse, Lo goes crazy and I didn’t understand his actions towards Ryke, but now, I totally get it and I love Lo even more.

The Gang

Thrive is not just about Lily and Lo, you will get a HUGE chunk of the gang. Connor < --- my book boyfriend, Rose, Daisy and Ryke < --- Lick. I just love it and I love them. I like that this series includes all the characters. I get so much character development and storyline buildup. It’s simply perfect.

Overall

I love the series and I love this book. I loved getting Lily and Lo’s POV and I’m excited to continue with the series.

Additional Questions

Would you consider the audio edition of Thrive: Addicted, Book 2.5 to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version of Thrive, but I have read all of the addicted series except for Addicted After All. I love audio books and I usually enjoy audio books more than the print version. I feel like I get more of an experience with audio books than reading a print copy. Thrive audio did not disappoint.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Overall, the book was very moving, but the ending left with the best and lasting impression. The book shifts and it just goes to a whole new level. What I love so much about hero and heroine is just the pure can-not-breathe-without-each-other love. **SIGH** it’s the stuff I crave and live for in books.

If you could sum up Thrive: Addicted, Book 2.5 in three words, what would they be?

Complete Romance (I know it's not one word, but that's how I felt), Quirky, Epic

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Addictively entertaining and Addictively good. It will leave you craving for more.

What other book might you compare Thrive: Addicted, Book 2.5 to and why?

I would definitely compare Thrive to the other books in the Addicted Series. Just like the series, I loved Thrive. If you are a fan of the series, you must listen to Thrive. If I had to compare the series to any other books that aren’t related I would have to compare to J.A. Huss’s Rook And Ronin series. Both series focal on a group and both series have spin-offs with main characters from the group. I love these books. I love loving more than one character and I love it when all of them interact with each other.

Have you listened to any of Charles Carr and Erin Mallon ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am a HUGE fan of Erin Mallon. I will listen to anything and everything she narrates. She has the best voice. Her voice is very adorable, youthful and she conveys the emotions on point. I feel her awkwardness, her nervousness and her cuteness as she speaks. I am so happy she narrated for the series.

This is my first Charles Carr narration. I enjoyed him as well. Charles’ voice is deep and masculine. He is the perfect Lo. I loved his mixed emotions he portrays, especially when he gets angry, it was very sexy. His voice is addictive and attractive.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Still dislike the main character*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

CAN CONTAIN SPOILERS!!! Lily ‘Lil’ Martha Calloway (22?) and I just don't get along. We're not on the same page, though I have to admit she was at her best in this book compared to all the others. Loren ‘Lo’ Hale (23) was even better and I like him. However, it's not enough to even like the series.
I shrug. “I kind of shipped them during Princesses of Philly. Didn’t you?” He’ll understand my fandom reference. To ship: aka, to fangirl hard over a prospective relationship.
He cringes like it’s a gross thought. “She was seventeen during the show. They’re not even legitimately together.”
“That’s never stopped you from wanting a ship to sail.” He’s a not-so-closeted Sterek shipper from Teen Wolf.

Jonathan Ryke Meadows (25?) is still hot, but I don't like how he has this big fucking wall between him and Loren and how he keeps saying for Loren to trust him, yet he never shows Loren any trust. The romance between Ryke and Daisy Calloway (now 18) makes me uncomfortable and I wish it wasn't apart of this book.
For once, in his life, Connor is blind.
When he meets my gaze, I say, “I just want you to know that I lost some respect for you tonight. And you’re not going to get it back so fucking easily.” I don’t want to play his games. I’m not an investor he needs to slip in his back pocket. I’m his friend. I just want him to be real with me.
“Sure,” he says softly. “I understand.”
His gaze drifts to the carpet in deep thought. A faraway look that I don’t often see from him. My stomach is in knots. I already want to forgive him, to say don’t worry about it. He has that power over people. It’s insane, and I realize how much I love the guy.
That’s the funny thing right:
He’ll probably never love me.

I don't care much for Rose Calloway's (25), but I find Connor Cobalt (26?) interesting. Again, not enough to want to read Rose and Connor's books. Rose and I just doesn't click. In fact, I don't click with any of the Calloway sisters. Daisy is way too reckless and all over the place. Overall, I just want to be completely done with this series.
He stares deeply into me and says, “I just don’t want our kid to be damaged like us.”
My breath catches and it takes me a minute to collect the right words. “We can’t live in fear of that. It’ll cripple us.”
He pulls me closer, and he kisses me so strongly that the air is vacuumed from my lungs. A head rush of epic proportions.
When we break apart, his forehead on mine, he whispers, “You and me.”
I smile against his lips. “Lily and Lo.”
“And someone else,” he says.
And someone else.
I have many more months before I meet that someone, but we’re beginning to accept this new world, a new reality where we’re no longer allowed to be selfish. It’s our greatest test yet.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (New Adult) Contemporary Romance.
Series: - Series, Book Two Point Five.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Connor Cobalt.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Already have.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Unsure.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 2 stars.

➸ I will never get sick of Lily and Lo. Was this book full of stuff that already happened in kiss the sky and hothouse flower? Yes. Did I love it anyways? Absolutely. Y’all are probably sick of my reviews always saying how much they love each other BUT I CANT HELP IT!! Lily and Lo are the blueprint, I will never find love like theirs so I’ll be sleeping on the highway tonight. They’re #2 on my top 3 of favorite book couples ever (no one can beat Juliette and Aaron <3).

“That’d be Iron Man. But I hold my tongue.
“That’s Iron Man,” Lo says.”

they’re so annoyingly adorable, this is some soulmates type of thing

”Remember how when we were little?” I whisper. “You’d chase me around before midnight.”
“You always ran out of breath.”
“I wanted you to catch me.”
“I thought so.”
“Catch me,” I whisper.
“I already have,” he murmurs.

childhood friends to lovers excellence

”It takes me a moment to speak. “Lily Calloway,” I say, shocked beyond belief. I turn my head towards her. “Did you just defend me by throwing perfectly good booze at a douchebag’s head?”

”Yes,” she says with a nod and then tilts her chin up for further effect.

I touch my heart. “I’d propose to you, but I already did that.”

God I want what they have, WHEN IS IT MY TURN TO BE HAPPY

Shoutout to Connor Cobalt (I love this man) and his bromance with Lo. They honestly need to hook up and get it over with, I SAID WHAT I SAID

“I don’t want to speed through a single moment. Not anymore.”

This book was undoubtedly more interesting than the others.
One of the things I liked most about this book was Ryke and Daisy's evolution and as always, despite Lily and Lo being important in the story, some side characters manage to get more of my attention.
I also remind you that this whole series is full of drama.

"I'm going to love Lily how I want to love her.
Overwhelmingly. Uncompromisingly."

This is an interesting book. It spans two years and goes through Connor and Rose's book and Ryker and Daisy's book but told through Lo and Lily's POV's with a few extras.

There is a note at the beginning saying "Thrive must be read before Addicted After All if you have not read the Calloway Sisters spin-off series". It makes it sound like you could read either/or but my question is...why would you? I was a little hesitant to read Connor and Rose's book but I was so happy I did and Raisy's book...well it's Raisy!

However by reading all of them, it makes this book a little redundant at times. If you're a fan of the series, you just won't care and if you don't read the other two books, I'm just not sure you're going to get the whole picture.

description

It was pretty amazing getting Lo and Lily's POV's. So much happens in two years and it was great reading how they handled things. I did hate rereading about the whole reality show debacle but I loved the little ways Lo stuck it to Scott. I just wish he did more!

It was also great getting Lo's feelings about his brother. I love how close they've gotten and I'm glad it wasn't one sided. I also liked getting to read about how Lo feels about Connor.

And FINALLY, finally we get some Sam and Poppy, the Calloway's older sister and her husband. I was beginning to think they were made up or something. ;)

So, obviously, I would recommend reading all the books but if you're not a Lo and Lily fan, you could probably skip this one if you've read the other two books.

Reread #1 Update:
This was a buddy reread with Navya! <3
Not going to lie, I forgot how good this book is. I know a lot of people don’t love that it’s basically showing us the content from the first two Calloway Sisters books from Lily and Lo’s perspective, but there are a ton of new scenes and details we didn’t get in those two books so I think this book was really necessary. I also love the way the book is written in shorter chapters because it makes it super easy to read! Overall, super adorable, despite the stressful scenes. Super excited to read Addicted After All AND MEET MAXIMOFF AGAIN AHH.

Original Review:

⇢The Plot
I’m so glad I read this book! I loved seeing the scenes from the first two Calloway Sisters books from Lily and Lo’s perspectives. We saw a lot more of the activities that the housemates did during filming, and how Scott wasn’t just rude to Rose and Connor, but to them as well.

⇢Lily and Lo
Lily and Lo’s perspectives aren’t my favourite because they usually only focus on each other, so it’s hard to get a visual on what the rest of the characters are up to, so I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. I was definitely missing the other characters, but not as much as I thought I would!

“But we’re in Earth-616, love. We’re going to have our happy ending. It just may take us awhile to get there.”

⇢Random scenes
I loved seeing scenes at the Comic-Con, Daisy’s fashion show, the trip, the wedding and the rest of the time the housemates spent together because it showed just how close they are to one another <3
