Triktapic, the deadly dark elf assassin, has been restored by the Forest Lords to his rightful place as king of the Elven realm. Now, he must face his former comrades as he attempts to stop Lorsan, king of the dark elves, from enslaving the human race. Lorsan has already begun distributing Rapture, the irresistible drink that destroys those who unknowingly become addicted to it. Will Cassie, his Chosen, be able to give Trik the strength he needs to face his dark past?
Meanwhile, Cassie’s best friend, Elora, is in a fight for her own life. Elora, her mother, Lisa, and a small band of light elves have traveled deep into the dark elf realm in hopes of rescuing Cassie and Trik. But their mission quickly turns into a battle for their own lives as they are surrounded by Lorsan and his warriors. Though outnumbered ten to one, the humans and elves fight heroically. They fight for a King once lost but now found. They fight for the human realm that doesn’t yet know it is in need of saving. They fight for love; a love that has already been discovered and a love that is waiting to be revealed. Despite their valiant efforts, the band is captured and held captive by the dark elf king.
The peaceful world that Cassie and Elora knew is long gone, shattered by their realization that elves walk secretly among them, and are bent on their destruction. Soon, each of the girls will be forced to choose her own path. Cassie must decide to which world she belongs and Elora must decide if she will fight for a warrior hell-bent on keeping her from his side.
Two species, human and elf, stand on the precipice of war, united in one goal; shatter the dark elf king’s plan, and unite a divided race under the rule of the one true King.
Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.
I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.
o.m.g BOOK 2 i so cannot wait for this book and it comes out Dec 25 BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER UPDATE just saw the cover and im like i thought this book was going to be good before now i just think it going to be awesome. I think that's Elora cos we get to see her love story in this one yeah
WTH was that ending? My Kindle said I was 84% through and the book just ends. It's not even a good cliffhanger; it seems like it's unfinished. I'm dissappointed and frustrated.
this series is so all over the place that i have no idea what’s going to happen next. I’m also kinda confused as to why this book isn’t just from Trik and Cassie’s POV- why change it now?
“No one is going to kill you,” she told him firmly. Trik's lips twitched. Clearly he was amused at her statement. “Are you going to protect me?” Cassie snorted. “I don’t even like to kill flies. No, I’ll sic Elora on them.” Trik cringed. “Nothing is worth that, not even an attempt on my life.” Cassie grinned. “Exactly, so no more talk of you dying.”
Quinn Loftis never ceases to amaze me! Her writing is addictive. The world's she creates with simply words always sucks me right in. Rapture is no different. I've been looking forward to this book for the last year after devouring Elfin. I fell for Trik and wanted more! While Rapture mainly focuses on Cassie's best friend, Elora and light elf warrior Cush, there are plenty of scenes involving Cassie and Trik and their evolving relationship.
I really enjoyed getting to read and learn more about the ever sarcastic best friend of the future Queen of Elves. I wanted a best friend like Elora when I read Elfin and nothing changed while reading Rapture. There is so much more to her than anyone could realize and several times I found my mouth hanging open at some revelations during this book. Oh, and let's not forget about Cush. He's every bit as dreamy and Alpha as Trik including badass warrior skills. Definitely swoon-worthy. Quinn never disappoints with her Alpha males. They always top my lists! We also get to meet Elora's brother, Oakley. I really want to see more of him. We also get to see more of Tony, Trik's friend and Casino manger in Las Vegas. I hope his story is going where I want it too. ;) Rapture is action-packed, laugh out loud funny, with some swoony romance. I'm eagerly awaiting the next book! I can't wait to find out what happens. I NEED to know what's coming next! Quinn, keep the amazing work coming!
First of all, let me remark... THAT I EFFING LOVE CUSH MORE THAN FREAKING ANY OF THE WOLVES EXCEPT FOR MAYBE COSTIN ITS SUPER CLOSE GAH.
Anyway... As per usual from Quinn Loftis, I am not disappointed, and hanging on by a thread of worn out fangirling emotions until the next installment/INTO THE FAE <333. The storyline of Rapture is just as addictive as the drug itself. Through twists and terms you discover that Elora isn't so unapproachable when you see her relationship with Cush, Trik is a bit of a freak (not a bad thing really), and some secrets need to be told.
My favorite part? Ugh this is hard. LOL WAIT. When they tied Elora to the chair and after she just calmly wiped her knife and was like "B*tch, I'm fine."
Tbh I thought their were only two books in this series.. but no , there are more..and u know how this Quinn is..a cunning lady..went and left me in a cliff hanger...
Gah I want the next book like right now!!!!..and ya amazing like the other series..
And no..these elves are not the way how u think are..well to be honest they are not even elves..they are tall like all the hotties of other books
I am an avid Quinn Loftis groupie and with the release date for this book a couple of days away I thought I may as well stalk Amazon in the hopes it would appear early and was ecstatic to find it the day before release. I am now sitting here writing this review wishing that I could read it again for the first time and envying anyone who is about to do so!
We get back to Trik, Cassie, Elora and the gang after the closing events of book 1, Elfin. Elora, her mum and the group that went to rescue Trik have instead become the captured of Lorsan, the dark-elf king. Upon escaping they split into two groups, one goes to the human world, the other to the light-elf castle. Only trouble is that turns out to be a trap leaving portals to the worlds closed with the two groups not being able to get back together.
To say much more of what occurs after this would be to ruin yet another fantastic plot by Ms Loftis so all I will say is be prepared for more skeletons falling out of Trik's closet that as this book ends could cause problems (at least that is the way I am envisioning it panning out!), more fantastic witty dialogue that on occasions had me doubled up laughing and of course more drama. Toss hunky possessive male elves into the mix with a dash of crazy elf thrown in for good measure and you are in for a treat!!
All I can do now is cross my fingers that we do not have to wait another year for book 3.
Holy freakin’ elves!! This book is so, so, so, so, so GOOD!! First of all you have Triktapic, who is absolutely Triktastic in every way! Tall, dark, and handsome doesn’t even begin to cover it. He’s also deadly, smooth, and simply irresistible. Once the ultimate bad boy – a feared assassin – he now must try to be the king he was meant to be and help unite the elven races. It would not even be possible without his chosen, Cassie. She is beautiful inside and out, loving and caring, and completely devoted to Trik. And I have always liked Cassie’s best friend, Elora, but now I absolutely love her! She is so feisty and rebellious, but underneath she is also truly loyal and kind. The adventures are just beginning for this group of humans and elves and I cannot wait to see where their journey takes them! This is easily one of my very favorite series already!
I really loved the Grey wolves series .. However this series does seem to be just a rehash of the same plot used in the wolves series. The ending came out of nowhere and one would think the author simply just stopped writing rather than having a thought out ending. I was baffled when it ended at 84% on my kindle. Having said all that I do enjoy Quinn Loftis ' writing and I will certainly continue reading the series. But ... Quinn ... Sigh ... You are capable of so much more than this!

Ugh, I don't know. While the storyline kept going and I liked it....geeeeez, could the author not have hired a damn editor!?!?! It's the SAME problem as book 1. Figure out the FREAKING DIFFERENCE between "your" and "you're". No author should be allowed to be published until they've covered that basic concept. It's a wonder I keep buying your damn books, Quinn Loftis.
That being said....Elora was much more fun to read than Cassie. She was much more believable in how she reacted to being "Chosen" than Cassie did. But at the same time, she fell in love in a matter of a few days? Come on.....that doesn't happen.
So a few things good, few things bad....Im still intrigued as to what's going to happen.
Quinn Loftis has done it once again! She has woven such an amazing story that will leave you enraptured...see what I did there ;) I absolutely adored this book. Every single page left me on the edge of my seat, and I never wanted the story to end. Rapture picks up right where we left off in Elfin. Lisa, Elora, Cush, Rin, and some other elves are being held captured by Lorsan, and Cassie and Trik are on the way to save them. The story starts off with a shock, and then never lets you off the thrill ride of emotions and excitement.
One of the things I love about this novel (and series in general) is the characters. The characters are extremely relatable, and each character has their chance in the spotlight. No one is never pushed to the background. Even the smallest of characters plays a major role in making the story move toward its conclusion. Cassie and Elora have both grown immensely over the course of the novel, especially from the previous book. Cassie is stronger, braver, and tougher. She fights for her family, her friends, and ultimately for love. Elora is absolutely hilarious, and she is the type of friend every girl should have. She is brave, loyal, and true, and she doesn't back down from a fight. Trik is amazing as ever, and is Mr. McHotser throughout the entire novel. Seriously, I was dying every single time he opened that gorgeous mouth of his. Trik will have you melting and swooning, and leave you longing for more. He has definitely become more of a leader, and Cassie has had a great influence on that growth and development. Trik has learned that he doesn't need to let the darkness overcome him. Cush was adorable, and is definitely up there with Trik in the hot stuff department. He's a typical alpha-male, but he is perfect for Elora in every way. He is definitely her match! One of the things I also enjoyed was being able to find out more about Elora's and her brother's background thanks to Lisa. It is definitely a shocker for sure, and I can't wait to find out even more!
The action is nonstop in this novel, and the novel is expertly written. With very few mistakes, Rapture is heart-stopping with its vivid descriptions and realistic settings. I felt like the scenes were playing out right in front of my eyes, and I never wanted this book to end! The world of the Elves is so unique and original, that this series definitely is a stand out. We get even more information about the history of the Elves, and it made the story even better. I would love to see a novella on the history just to get even more information. The novel comes to a startling conclusion that will leave any reader longing for the next in the series. I know I definitely need the next one tomorrow!! There are definitely some steamy moments between both Trik and Cassie, and Elora and Cush, but nothing too bad. It's still YA, so have no fears. I wouldn't mind if it was a bit more NA, and there were even more steamy scenes, but at least this way the Elfin series can appeal to an even wider audience.
If you are a fan of Quinn Loftis (which if you aren't, you need to be); or if you liked Elfin, then you will love this book! I am a huge fan of Quinn's, and I can't wait to see what she gives us readers next! Go get this book now, you won't be sorry. Happy reading :)
Just finished this book. I am not sure what to think about it. I really like Quinn Loftis as an author and feel that she is talented. I love her witty humor and her dialogue between her characters. I even like her book cliches and premises that some feminists would bop her on the head for. However, I really think that she could have done better in this novel. So many things are similar to the Grey Wolves series that I think some of the themes are getting old. I also think her sexual banter was a little over the top, not inappropriately but just eye rolling. The story lacked any real depth, it was a surface story. I was not stirred or inspired and the amount of things I found ridiculous in the story was well....ridiculous. Now saying all that, I liked her characters and felt for the most part she stayed true to them. The only character that I had a hard transition with was Ilyana, she was not evil the first book and the jump she took in this book was enormous. I couldn't transition that fast. Even Lorsan was a bit of a stretch. I liked the bringing of Tony into the story, I think she can add some depth to the story with his character but I am not sure if she can be successful at *spoiler* tying him to Lisa. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to read this book. Its not epic or awe inspiring but it was cute and fun and I got my fangirl on with Cush. :) My advice for book three would be less obnoxious banter, more depth in the story (less focus on the characters themselves, and less of a mimic of Grey Wolves-it seems to be following the same pattern).
Not only did I love this book, I liked it more that Elfin, and I didn't think that was possible.
What I liked: Although you still get to spend time with Cassie and Trik, but you really get to know Elora much better as well. Elora really has a lot of opportunities for growth, and for the most part, I think she handles them rather well. I would also like to say that Cush is definitely one of my favorite characters. He may be right after Trik, just before Cassie.
What I didn't like: Not long enough!! I wanted more!
Would I recommend this book: Yes! I felt it was a little edgier than Elfin, and there is still a lot of the banter than caused me to fall in love with Quinn's writing in the first place.
Rapture totally lives up to its name. You will be enraptured from the first chapter! This book continues the story started in Elfin. Trik and Cassie's relationship grows deeper and stronger. You will see Trik make some really tough decisions, but you will also see Trik shine as well.
If you have read Elfin you have met Cassie's best friend Elora! In this book you will see Elora's life change in dramatic ways especially as it relates to Cush! This book offers humor, romance, and adventure at its best! This book is one awesome read that you won't be able to put down!
What I liked: It's no secret that I'm the biggest fan of Quinn's Grey Wolves Series. I mean, I'm still in love with Decebel!!! HOWEVER, I am pretty sure I'm in love with Elfin series just as much.
Trik and Cassie are two characters that stick in your mind long after you finish the book! I love, love Elves!! The twist and turns of Trik's and Cassie journey is page-turning!!
Now, Quinn didn't leave out the 'additional' characters. I enjoy when she pulls focus to (what some consider secondary characters) the friends and family of Trik and Cassies, especially Elora and CUSH!!! (swoon)
What I didn't like: There was nothing that I didn't like; I wish it was a tad longer. It was a faced pace book!!!!!
I feel bad for lowering my rating from 5 to 2 stars, but I sadly didn't enjoy reading this as much as I did the first time. Most of the story dragged a lot (70% were just cheesy I-love-you-never-doubt-it-lines), while the most interesting parts were completely rushed over. It felt very "surface level", as the book lacked depth and substance, and I couldn't help but get annoyed by a lot of the things that happened (I would rant about them but I'm too lazy today)
I think it's fair to conclude that I'm officially starting to turn into an old grump
I just finished reading book two, and I'm left wondering what drew me in with book one. Essentially the plot was solid but the delivery was horrendous. I felt like I was in an 80s action film full of idiotic one-liners with a mix of cheesy soap opera love. I expected more. I had to skim entire sections just to get through the book.
yet another fab book from quinn and with all books of quinns u gey that humour and heat in the story and connect with all the charactors. I just hope not to be left waiting too long for next book for the war that is coming.
Usually there is one main girl/couple in a series, but Quinn wrote Cassie's bf Elora so well that having part of this book be about her and her Chosen named Cush shows what a great writer she is.
i loved everything and sped read through it to be honest. Good stuff happens between Cassie and Trik!love this series
To be honest, I liked Elora’s storyline so much more than Cassie and Trik’s because I love Elora’s sassiness and I also really loved her and Cush’s “relationship” because it was really entertaining. The reason I didn’t really like Cassie and Trik’s storyline was because all they did, for the most part, was talk about the war and gain allies, and I know a war is coming, but I don’t really like the war talk, and I found it a little boring…
I wonder how they’re going to win the war now that some crazy dark elf has the Book of the Elves. And I don’t see how the Forest Lords can help them win… But I guess I’ll find out in the last book.
