All that she loves has gone and this time it's no-one elses fault. This time if anything bad happens Gaia has only one person to blame - herself! Gaia is once more alone. Her father, Tom Moore is in a coma and, ironically, so is 'Loki'. Ed has taken up with Gaia's one female friend, and the girl wonder is alone yet again, prompting the question: Is someone who is genectically fearless destined to remain lonely and loveless?
Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.
Summary: Gaia continues trying to find out the whereabouts of her father, Tatiana is now friends with the FOHs and they all plan to throw a party for Heather's sake, Sam gives Gaia and himself cellphones to better keep in touch with each other, Ed and Gaia go on a date which doesn't end well due to Gaia being worried if something bad happened to Sam since he won't call her back, Gaia and Sam drive to the compound where Sam was held captive at and they rescue Dmitri without deciding to stay longer to find more files on where Tom could be, Sam decides to move out into a new apartment with Dmitri, Before that, Tatiana discovers Sam's existence which she tells Ed about during the relocated party in her apartment, Ed drunkenly yells at Gaia and says they should stay away from each other for a while, and Gaia believes she was set up after Sam failed to show up at the Ukrainian church and almost got assassinated as a result.
Escape wasn't really exciting (Parts almost put my brain to sleep), however I do like Dmitri as a new-possibly temporary- addition to the cast.
1. I don't really understand what Loki's point is of building an asylum-like building just to store all the people that have wronged him until they die. Also, it's probably a bad idea to build it near the city where your ultra-smart niece can easily locate it.
2. It's nice for Sam to try improving communication will cellphones, however thanks to the world of Fearless it STILL manages to fail.
3. I'm surprised Sam actually remembers how to drive when you'd think after being stuck in the compound for several Fearless books he'd at least make plenty of driving mistakes.
4. I did find it amusing when Gaia and Sam found out the hotel they were staying in was a love hotel.
5. I really did enjoy Dmitri's character for being a genuinely nice guy. I just really hope Fearless doesn't pull another tiring"Oh hey this character you thought was good is actually bad!" shtick.

This wasn't what I wanted at all. Sam is acting seriously weird. I mean he goes MIA and twice Gaia gets attacked and then that ending with the message then the goons showing up trying shoot Gaia. Sam is suspicious for sure.
Also suspicious of Natasha and Tatiana again. The way they acting is messed up. They not acting like someone they claim care about is missing.
Didn't like anything that went down except the start of Ed and Gaia date until it was ruined after that and before it was horrible. She should told him truth for real.
I did find it nice that Jake checked on Gaia when no one else cared what happened. Though he did get on my nerves too. Gaia and Ed's probably over for good now after he found out about Sam. Tatiana drunk is not good especially what she did. Wish this would been better.
I think the teen drama was better than the fights. There are plenty of each though; as Mary Sue defeats armed assassins in a roadside diner. Then, she defeats three armed assassins in the semi-super-secret hideout. Then two more assassins creep into her motel room, while she's asleep. None however, are close to a match for the mighty, and undefeated Mary Sue. Finally, she escapes still more assassins, who try to shoot her in the Ukrainian church. In this terrifying sequence, our authoress and friend, twice tells us of mighty Mary Sue's strength. She also tells us Mary Sue has bad hair, wears ugly clothes, and her cargo pants have stains. Ick.
This is the one which could ruin it (romantically speaking) for Gaia Moore, still "fearless" but still edgy when it comes to love. In this episode, Sam, back from the dead, tries to talk Gaia into accompanying her in the search for her father, the superspy Tom Moore, comatose and hidden somewhere in the outskirts of NYC. Gaia also has a tenuous relationship with her lover Ed Fargo, who thinks she's in love with Sam and accuses her of every lie in the book. If it sounds like some lousy soap opera, rest assured, that's how I feel too.
In the book Fearless, Escape by Francine Pascal, there was a girl with a family but her dad was missing, she only had her step sister and step mom that she did not like. she was trying to find her dad the whole book. I like the book because it was like a action and mystery at the same time. the setting of the book was modern day, i would recommend this book to others i would recommend it to people that like action books.
I enjoyed reading these when I was younger. It was a good, short read with a great concept. However, it was very predictable.
Gaia was an awesome character, easily relatable even if she was more special than most. She still had her flaws, and in the book she was finding herself as a young woman.
This is such an engaging series for young women. Gaia is strong, yet emotional and provides a gateway for young women to begin to feel like they have more power over their own lives.
